Amy finds a gem after a fight with gem gives her tattoos and pain when it's touched, so Tails tries to figure out what the Gem is. Maybe with Tikal's help, they discover the Gem is part of the Master Emerald, and Eggman has all seven emeralds and Sonic needs Amy's gem to help power him up to defeat his super-strong robot. Amy turns super as well when she gives him her power, transferring it, but Amy gets hurt and Sonic confesses/kisses her. Can't wait!

Prompt:
"But that's not fair! You don't let me do anything!" Amy, soaked to the bone as water drips off her quills and lands in large puddles by her feet, launches her body forward in protest. "I don't understand, why are you trying to do this by yourself?!"
"Enough, Amy!" Sonic, up by the top of the mossy hillside, throws a hand back to silence her. He pants a bit as Amy slumps back down to her watery pit, looking up at him in a mixture between shock and disappointment. His eyes finally come into view, looking hurt by his own actions towards her as well.
He pulls the hand back, thrusting it upwards in a long arch to grip the bank's top. "We lost… there's no point in arguing about it anymore…"
It was the first time Amy heard defeat in his voice.
"W..We… we haven't lost!" she spat back out, getting the strength to move up in the mud and climb up the grassy, moss hill beside him.
He was slipping a bit but trying to hoist himself up to then help her, but she wasn't going to wait around for it.
Her objective was different…
She crawled up the side of the hill next to him, the rain still pouring down relentlessly, and clearly keeping them on the side of the hill.
"You can't ignore it anymore, Sonic… why don't you just admit it?" She tenderly looked to him, but he only gave her a side-glance.
"I don't know what you mean." He kept trying to struggle to get footing, digging the tips of his shoes into the now soft mud and trying to get some footing.
"You know what I mean!" she was on the verge of tears, seeing him dodging her… even now…
"All throughout the fight, you wouldn't even look at me!" she bit her bottom lip, unable to contain her sorrow anymore. "It's me. You don't want me to fight with you… because you're afraid of what happened!"
He suddenly looked her dead in the face, "This conversation is over." He almost growled it out, but she knew it was mostly the situation. He was exerting himself to get out of the large, messy and diagonal crater the robot had shoved his fist into, taking Sonic and her down with it.
Eggman's Elite-Eggs were collecting all the emeralds, powering themselves up and then robotically 'stitching' themselves together to make an even bigger, badder robot.
"Please stop pushing me away…" In desperation… Amy reached out and placed a hand on his own, which had been supporting him and was, coincidentally, the one he used to silence her beforehand.
His eyes widened only slightly, before squinting back obvious internal pain. He clearly didn't want to talk about his feelings, but Amy was really trying to pound it out of him.
His eyes just blurred onto her hand, as water pelted against them.
"Please…" his vision continued to falter.
His mouth formed a straight line.
"Sonic… look at me. Tell me what I'm doing wrong…"
"…Wrong?"
Rushing water was suddenly heard from above.
"Huh?" the two looked up, as Amy removed her hand, and the two shouted out when a rush of water charged down the top of the hill they were trying to climb out of.
"AHH!" Amy was washed away, further into the murky forest.
"Ammmmyyy!" Sonic shouted, unable to swim, nor fight against the current. His hand reached out to her while half his mouth was filled with water. He struggled to keep his head aloft, seeing as the water was a mix of a rockslide.
The mud made weight on his legs, and he couldn't kick against it.
By a miracle, he tore off branches he had hoped to hang on too, but instead, used them as life-floats.
"Ammmmyy!" he cried out again, rippling through the stormy air as he was rushed away…
Amy was a little less fortunate…
Her body slammed into the trunks of trees, pounding against her. She was dragged under the thick, muddy water several times, before shoved up by happenstance when the ground beneath was above water level.
Finally, the land grew taller and taller, and as such, the water thinned out till Amy's body was shoved up onto an island in an typhoon of brown sea…
She coughed out mud and wiped her face, flinching in pain from her hand.
She looked down, seeing something seep into her hand and radiate an ominous green glow…
"Ow…oww, oww! What is this!?" Her hand shook before she could reach and try to pull the sharded gem out. Her hand must have crashed into it, breaking whatever it was and having a huge shard dip into her skin, almost as if melting inside of her.
She rolled to her back, her other hand placing pressure on her now stinging with fire palm.
"Ahh..!" she cried out, feeling the shards now spread up her arm, leaving trails as they did so, glowing and creating green marks along her body.
As they shifted around, patterns formed, and a very distinct shaped was made along her shoulders and back, but she only felt the design. Due to it's location, she had no idea what it looked like.
Finally, the burning and glowing patterns ceased.
She gasped for air, but only found rushing drops of water shower her mouth as she arched her neck, unable to close her mouth from the intensity of all she had felt.
Where was Sonic..? Was he all alone too? She was frightened… she was scared… so … terribly, terribly afraid.

After finding Amy but being unable to touch her without her marking flaring to life, animated upon her skin and burning her with an intense green light, the team finally decide to see if the Master Emerald could heal her. She's dying of hypothermia, and it's honestly the only quick solution considering they're losing precious time.
Upon activating the Master Emerald with the help of Knuckles, also working against the clock to help save Amy, they discover the Master Emerald has many broken parts of it. The Master Emerald has lost some of it's power, and reveals within itself a silent story of animated images that swirl and create the tale of how the Elite-Eggs broke the Master Emerald in different shard pieces that couldn't really be seen without close inspection. They infused it to themselves, and during their fight with Sonic and Amy, had some of those shards fall off. Being rushed with the current, they followed Amy until one of them was impaled into her hand, causing it to break further an it's unstable tendencies released.
With the Elite-Eggs now having all Chaos Emeralds, due to the team prioritizing Amy's life over finding them, they were now one super robot, equipped with many shards of the Master Emerald, and ready to take the full thing now…
Heading in their massive robot form through the sea to Angel Island, having the island hover just above their waist-line, the team looked behind them in horror as it grabbed the entire piece of land on both sides.
"You have to fight them!" Tails stated, "If they get the Master Emerald, everything will be lost!" Tails, still on his knees, hung his head low in doom. "Amy holds the last of the Emeralds power. Anything unattached to it because like a Chaos Emerald."
Knuckles rushed back and held Amy's head up, "Come on, Amy… wake up! Say something! Don't go… Do anything but that…" even his own voice sounded hopeless, as Sonic finally tightened his eyes, sucked in his gut, and grabbed her hand.
"Amy… please… Inside you,… Inside you is a burning wrath of a God."
The two looked up to Sonic, their mourning already emanate in their eyes.
He was fighting back great storms of emotion in his voice, being taken right back to that muddy hill… that powerful rain that kept his voice back, his eyes slits against the downpour.
"Amy… The reason why I couldn't let you fight beside me was…" he pulled back his voice, something trembling deep within him.
He forced his knees to stop shaking, jerking them as he knelt by her side.
The Elite-Egg robot shook the Island, peeling layers of it's rocky hide off as they crumbled in large quantities to the sea below.
It roared a metallic cry, as if challenging Sonic to stop them before they broke the whole Island into pieces.
Chaos huddled together, crying.
Tails and Knuckles continued to watch Sonic, before ducking their heads to Amy.
Her eyes never opened…
But still, soft puffs of breath could still be made out in the cloudy silence of the air…
"It was all me…" Sonic finally broke, his upper body hunching over her. "It was all me… I couldn't to have what happened to you happen again!" he squeezed his hand into hers even more. "What happened was… I was confused! One moment, we were just our old selves, battling Eggman. The next… I watched you get crushed by that Elite-Egg… I couldn't stomach it. I couldn't think straight. I tore into him but he just kept getting up and hitting me back! I couldn't protect you! When you wanted to fight them with me again… I panicked. I didn't want to be the reason you fell!"
Tails and Knuckles looked sorrowfully back to Sonic.
"ARUGH!" he threw his head up again, shouting into the rushing wind. "CHAOOOSSS!"
Amy's body glowed, and her eyes slowly blinked open.
'Sonic… Do it… I'll be okay…'
He closed his eyes, before intertwining his fingers into her own to make the hold on her hand even more intimate.
"CONTROL!"
The images on her body swirled, revealing the symbol of Chaos, the Master Emerald, and the seven Chaos Emeralds on her back.
"Woah!" Knuckles was the only one to see it.
She then sparked to life with a golden glow that consumed her, before fading to reveal she was now in Super form.
Her eyes blinked further open, and she smiled weakly to Sonic, tilting her head towards him.
"See? … I told you to admit it… What was wrong with me."
He was taken aback a bit, as she floated up from Knuckles's hold and carried Sonic's—still deeply entangled in her own—hand up with her into the sky.
"What was… wrong?" Sonic felt his feet leave the ground, but was too entranced by her recovery and transformation to say anything.
She nodded, angelically.
"Ehm-hmm… that you… You've fallen in love with me." She beamed. No literally. Her golden light grew and broke the darkness, sending the entire sky into a white and yellow array before Sonic rose up by her and his light cooled down.
He was now super… with their hands still interlocked.
"…Let it be known that I never said that." He was focused on their hands, a tender expression on his face, before looking up with a soft smile.
"Just saying."
She gave him a teasing grin, before nodding with a giggle. "Whatever you say… Sonic."
He nodded.
Together, they turned to the Elite-Egg, powering up.
"One shard…" Sonic spoke out.
"One destiny!" Amy cried out.
"CHAOS-!" they threw their hands back, still keeping them tightly together. "CONTROLL!" They propelled themselves through the air, a shining sun of light that would even rivals the stars.
Blasting forward, they punched the Elite-Egg, being stopped at his chest.
They tried to push their metal forward, but it was no use, Amy and Sonic's combined force and battle-cry broke through their hard defenses, and they were torn into separate robots again. They fell, hurdling towards the ground and being crushed by the very rocks they tore off of the island.
Sonic and Amy landed on the island, looking down like Gods to the fallen creations of man, and then finally… after so much suffering… Sonic felt something coming out of Amy's hand.
"Huh? What's that?" He released his hold on her, just enough for them to peek in and see through a gap where the shards were coming out of Amy's body.
The patterns all withdrew, no pain this time, and following the bigger piece, the little pieces all flew out into the air.
The seven emeralds converged onto the island, helping it stay up and stop crumbling away, having been freed from the other Elite-Eggs that had trapped them inside their bodies.
Knuckles spread his arms out, "MASTER EMERALLLDDD!" he cried out, as the shards all blasted from the sea, a beautiful spectacle in the cloudy sky!
"W-woah…" Tails's eyes sparkled from the light they gave in the storm, as the Master Emerald rose and was bombarded by the pieces, being restored in seconds.
Amy fell to her knees, being caught by one swooping action from Sonic's free hand, as their power left them…
"Amy…"
"Heh… I always knew… no matter how bad it got… you'd always… catch me." She smiled up at him, before beginning to lose consciousness.
"AMY!" Sonic dropped to his knees, "NO!" He felt her body return to it's previous state, the cold and almost lifeless feel of her skin sent panic through his veins.
"Amy… Amy, I can't lose you." His hands moved frantically, his teeth gritted as he went steadily to work to try and warm her, wake her, anything! Something! "Amy, you can't leave me!"
Her eyes momentarily looked cloudy.
"NO!"
Her breathing was faint.
"Stay alive… Amy, Stay alive!" he started to pounding her chest in the proper form of CPR, not knowing what else to do.
Her eyes began to close, as soft tears slowly rolled down her cheeks.
A drop hit the grass, and then… her hand that was once holding his.
"AMMMMMYYY!"
The sound caught hold on the very winds of life and were sent all over the saved Island… The Master Emerald lowered back to its position, as Knuckles collapsed to his knees.
His eyes were hidden in shadows… realizing what that cry must have meant…
His arms dangled by his sides, as tears fell from his shaded face.
A stream of tears was already falling from Tails's trembling face, as he bundled his fists up close together, holding them by his face. "No… It can't end like this… This wasn't supposed to happen…" He cried out to the storm, "Amyyy! Please don't go!"
Sonic shook his head, trying to snap out of grief to keep believing… to keep trying. "I won't let it end this way…" he spoke harsh and rapid air through his closed teeth. "You said so yourself, right?! You told me… you told me we haven't lost yet!"
His hands never stopped, his pounding never ceased.
"You didn't want to give up! Even when I thought I messed up, you didn't give up! You can't give up!"
The sun started to peak through the grey sky, revealing beams of love. They broke out onto the surface of the wet terrain, a real look of Eden…
"Please, Amy… Please, I can't… I don't want to let you go… I want you to stay… please…" He bent his head and placed his hands on her upper chest, not feeling anything… no rhythm… no soul.
His face finally lifted up slightly, soaked with a mixture of rain and tears…
"I… I couldn't say it yet… I couldn't tell you… How I really… really wanted to…" he closed his eyes, still not accepting this as death, and reached over her. "Amy..!" If he couldn't bring her back the conventional way, he was going to force life back into her.
You could say that didn't sound like him. You could say that doesn't seem what he'd do. To force anything upon anyone.
But in this moment… he would have moved the heavens if it meant saving Amy.
As if still having a remnant of Chaos's effects inside her still… the rush of air that filled her lungs from Sonic's last shreds of hope, burst in her the life of Chaos Energy.
Her heart soared with green light, before the last shard of the Master Emerald emerged from her chest, and entered the Master Emerald once more.
She opened her eyes, amazed he had kissed her. "Ahh…ha…" her mouth swiggled as she blushed all over her face. She was unable to speak, it was almost too much to comprehend.
He pulled slightly away, looking down and over her. "Amy..?"
"…Did… Did you say you'll marry me?" her eyes scanned his face…
He couldn't help it, he laughed.
"Close enough!" he just dropped onto her and embrace her, laughing through the remaining tears in his eyes. "Amy! Haha! You never get old!"
"H-huh?" She blinked her eyes, unsure of why her body felt so bruised but not questioning the sudden rush of affection Sonic showed for her.
She simply held him and let his odd crying, masked with laughter, continue till at last the sun hit them and the earth was once again stilled to a peaceful lull…
