As the family looked at her she said, "first, let me introduce myself, I'm Dr. Shannon Breach and I'll be Derek's doctor while he's here", Dave said, "how bad is it?", Shannon looked at him and said, "his memories are, well they are being hindered by the drug that Ms. Hayes was giving him.
Penelope said, "how is he physically, is he okay?", she said, "yes, physically, physically he's fine it's just the drugs have really took their toll on his memories but I'm hopeful, very hopeful, especially after what agent Reid has told me another his conversation with Derek on the way to the hospital".
Penelope said, "c c conversation?", she said, "yes, I'll let him fill you in on that conversation himself, what I want to talk to you about his his mental condition", Fran said, "do you know what drug she had been giving him?", Shannnon nodded her head and said, "yes, she was giving him Scopolamine, she had been giving him small doses and over a long period of time that will work on his memories".
Hotch said, "so she was drugging him and trying to fill his head with false memories?", Shannon said, "yes and she had almost fully succeeded but thanks to you and your team/family that didn't happen, you saved him in time, now we need to work to get the drugs from his system".
Penelope said, "will he get his memories back?", Shannon said, "it might take time and a lottttttt of patience on your part but I do believe that he'll get his memories back", Sarah said, "since you know what drugs he's been taking can you give him another medication that can help fight this Scopolamine?", she nodded her head yes.
Shannon said, "we are currently treating him with Physostigmine, it is used as a nervous system depressant to help with Scopolamine overdoses", Fran said, "isn't Scopolamine used for things like motion sickness?", she said, "it is commonly used in that area, yes", Fran said, "when we we see him?", she stood up and looked down at them.
She then said, "you can follow me now, I'll take you too him", they all stood up and followed her down the corridor and then turned left about halfway down the hall and stepped into a huge room and Penelope felt like she could finally breathe for the first time in months when she saw the love of her life, her hotstuff, her everything peacefully sleeping.
Reid looked up and saw his family standing there, he motioned for them to come over, they walked across the room and Penelope sat down by his bedside and took his hand in hers, she brought it to her lips and kissed it and said,"ohhhhhh angel fish how I have missed you, I thought I'd lost you forever".
She sat there holding his hands while the hot tears streamed down her face, he was here, he was alive and she would make sure that Savannah paid for everything she had put Derek and his family through for the past several months no matter what it took.
