Day 2: Separation -(Whether it's based on 06's ending, Silver and Blaze missing each other in the future/sol dimension respectively, or Blaze has simply gone to the store and left Silver at home, you can do whatever you feel like!) July 21th
Prompt:
Silver wandered around, not understanding this strange future, but feeling that tinge of pain at every foot fall.
He wondered how far apart him and Blaze were… since coming through the portals at different times, he was unaware it would separate them.
He turned back around, looking at the streets and seeing some strange ceremony going on.
"…Blaze… are you seeing this?" It was a quiet, sorrowful beauty as he admired the world he was now in… the world he must protect!
He held his fist up by his face, shaking it once as he physically swore once again to stay determined in his mission. "Blaze would want me to focus on finding the Iblis Trigger! I can't be so… so skittish without her!" He knew he was useless without her, but didn't like the feeling that gave him of needed her so desperately.
Perhaps it was loneliness in that distant, ruined future that made him cling to her so tightly in his heart… But whatever the case may be, his mind would be fixated elsewhere.
Finally seeing the blue streak blaze by, he smirked, about to follow before something pink interceded his way…

Blaze walked along past the villages and took a more scenic route along her way to finding the blue hedgehog… "I hope Silver's okay… he tends to get jumpy when he's alone." She repeated the same sentence with different words but the same meaning a few times… constantly worried about what naïve trouble Silver was getting himself into.
She took long, striding jumps over rooftops, making her way along the dirt paths of roads and the city landings.
She finally moved on all fours over the edge of a building, half expecting fire to burst up and almost singe her face… but was surprised how pleasant this world was.
"…Silver… do you see this?" a moment of complete longing filled her, as she stood up and looked for the first time at the clouds…. So white and soot free. Then below her to the complete building… still intact and still towering as the sturdy structure it was meant to be.
She glanced at children playing in the streets, and her eyes lowered at their smiling faces…
How long had it been? Since she saw young ones or smiling faces?
"Silver must be lost…" She wondered to herself, before turning her body and opening her arms out, lifting her head up to the sun and feeling such a soothing warmth for once… not something painfully burning her skin from the lava rivers below.
"The air is so free here… unladen with dust and debris… it's so clean and refreshing… his lungs must not be used to it." She smiled, picturing him turning around to her, excited as the children playing below her sights, and rushing up to her to point out another obvious difference in excitement.
She lowered her head and closed her eyes, slightly chuckling at the image before opening them to see it was just her… all alone again…
"I…" she looked a little apologetic suddenly, "I should focus on finding the Iblis Trigger, and making sure Silver's alright." She nodded in a lighter resolve than Silver had, and immediately took off in a long jump once more onward on her mission.
(My thinking was obviously when they first split up in 06. XP They've apparently never been apart like that before, Blaze mentions what he's like when she's not around, so I wanted to show that concern and Silver wanting to share in this new world with her lol Since she's the only other person who would be able to understand haha. :') )
