Prompt:
For some reason, the Chaos Emeralds did in fact seal Iblis inside her, causing flames to burst from her hands, but…
When she turned and started floating into the sky, she remembered everything.
The universe shifted and she was teleported somewhere else, but Silver's sorrowful eyes lingered on hers.
She knew then.
That she would have forgotten him… if she had closed her eyes.
His future never changed, he remembered everything but still traveled back in the past to help Sonic. Almost as if, in a way, an act to gain forgiveness for almost destroying him in a life he fully remembered.
When Blaze came to seek help from Sonic, she was held in suspended reality when she saw Silver again.
He hadn't seen her yet, and she quickly willed her body to move and duck behind some debris of a once standing wall.
"What's wrong, Bl-" before he could finish her name, she looped her tail around his leg and dragged him into her hiding place, using her hands to pull her tail and get him there.
"Shh! Be silent!" she peeked around the wall, seeing him using his powers to help with the clean-up.
Sonic had momentarily come back to help the Forces in an area he was already in, but seeing Blaze come through the dimensional worm-hole was a surprise.
This was an even bigger one.
"What's with the lasso?" Sonic mused, hand on his head as he lay on his back.
She gave him a look of worry and then shame, turning away.
"Blaze?"
"…You don't remember." She held her peace, realizing he had no idea how truly connected Silver and her were.
"He's… We know each other." She encircled her arms around herself, holding back the painful memories that she treasured… but also regretted.
Being apart from him… it was horrible. She had once wished to completely have forgotten, that way, she could live in her new reality without anything holding her back… but now, seeing him…
The flames in Iblis rose up in her, as if the creature was just laying dormant and now wanted revenge.
"NO!" Blaze felt the flames, uncontrollable, soar out of her and enter the atmosphere. "Iblis! I couldn't-!" she touched her cheek.
Tears.
What has she done..?
Releasing Iblis into this dimension sent a chain-effect. The forces were still repairing and had already dispersed into smaller teams. They weren't prepared…
The world rent like it did with her old timeline, and she immediately saw Silver dart into action.
Like a silver-lined comet, he struck and fought Iblis. Her memories brought more tears to her eyes, seeing how muscle memory still had him pause and pull back as if she would launch herself up and strike like their old routine. Everything in her wanted to jump back and reveal herself to him… but everything else—within reason—was telling her to not bring back the pain once more.
He had lost her.
Shouldn't she remain lost?
"What, was he that bad of a boyfriend or something?" Sonic's jokes weren't really wanted then, but the idea sent a shock through her spine.
She turned to him, "Is that all you can think about!?"
"Woah… Blaze,.. you're…" They both had their hands up to guard against the flames, still spewing out of Blaze's body and manifesting Iblis before them.
He had seen her tears…
No use holding up appearances now.
She shook her head, trying to get rid of her emotions, and jumped up.
The second Silver pulled back, as was the tactic, she took her rightful place and began to attack on cue.
It amazed him.
She wondered how this would all end.
Seeing Blaze again, he called out her name, and a blast of joy came back to her that she had once wished to forget.
But she was glad, at this moment, that she didn't.
The two fought Iblis and sealed it back inside Blaze, but the dimensional pull was happening again. Would she forget this time?
"Silver…" Holding the two chaos emeralds that Knuckles and Sonic had thrown to her, she turned to Silver, starting the separation process all over again.
"I… I missed you…" Tears were forming in his own eyes, but he held them back, stumbling forward to her. "I thought… you were… I could never see you again."
She couldn't cry again. She wouldn't allow herself too.
"Silver… In order to make sure Iblis can't break free again… I…"
She…
Closed her eyes.
She knew this time she would forget, but a pair of strong arms wrapped around her.
"NO!" Silver closed his own eyes, embracing her as her form started to drift away in sparkling lights…
"Blaze! You're… you're everything to me! You're my greatest friend, my trusted companion! Please! Don't let me endure this again!"
"I'm… so sorry, Silver… Let's be friends again… in another life." She dropped the chaos emeralds, smiling upward towards the pleasant breeze that was slowly fading as she was taken to a new dimension.
"Remember me… so that we can be meet again… Remind me, Silver… I will be waiting to meet you again…"
She disappeared and opened her eyes to a new world. She was a new being too, but still held memories of Sonic and the gang…
But nothing…
Not a single strand…
Of her precious friend.
Silver fell to his knees, still grasping a sparkling light in his trembling hands before it flickered out… and he crushed his hand into a fist.
He lowered his head… then a violent whiplash of pounding the earth happened instantly.
His emotions… only being able to lash out through the action.
"NOOO!" he screamed to the ground. "NO! GIVE HER BACK! Don't take her again! IBBBLLIIISSS!" he was certainly triggered, but out of respect, the others stayed away.
"NOO!" he struck the earth again… before forcing his eyelids to part and look at the reality around him.
He fell to his chest and cried, not caring how he looked or even being very self-conscious for the matter.
In every bit of love, Amy moved out of the crowd, and knelt down beside him, rubbing his back.
"It's not okay… I thought we defeated him… but he's still in there. He's keeping everything I love away from him… just like before… just like back then…" his voice became a whimper of a man… but Amy held her peace and continued to rub his back.
Seeking any bit of condolence, he immediately forfeited himself into her arms, and she held him as he sobbed for yet another loss… another painful memory…
Blaze walked on, wondering why her chest seemed to hurt so much…
(and if you notice I'm struggling with Silvaze art, yes… yes I was. lol Had to use game cutscenes cause EVERYTHING BELONGS TO SOMEBODY! T-T )
