Ok this is just a Sonic Boom! Prompt, and you don't have to do it if you don't have time. Anyway, one of my major Sonic Boom headcanons for me is that all the team have mysterious pasts. So this would take place when they're on their way to find Lyric and they find an old wise man in a temple they fall into. The man tells them they need to know their pasts in order to be a good team, so he uses his magic to help them see eachothers memories. I hope you get really detailed, but anything is great!

(SANIC BOOM, SANIC BOOM, SANIC BOOM~ -starts singing in the most lamest voice evah-)

Prompt:

The team, do indeed, fall through a crumbling floor in a mysterious temple, where they are met by 'Fate' the Raven of Nevermore.

He speaks only in rhyme, and instructs them to look into their friends eyes, and learn the truth that only comes… from the past. (Now I really want to put Shadow in here, but I must resist!)

"See now the flower grows, for where she blooms, there is no sun that glows."

(I've made up now, TWO alternative past for Amy, and I don't know which one to stick with so I'm combining them xD) Amy's past shows her with her family, out in the fields, excavating as she plays with a shovel and her mother picks her up, her father coming over, before a large quake happens and they quickly put her on a truck that is running away from the cave-in. The truck makes it out alive, as a man holds a crying Amy. She is then raised by a loving family who sadly gets framed for a crime and must give her up to the orphanage, where her girly attitude is stripped from her being and she converts herself into a cruel and merciless fighter. She learns to balance her two sides, girly and strong, but still struggles with trust and love issues.

"For what you see now is not what is within, for his true strength lies in him."

Tails's past was one of shelter, as his family home schooled him because everyone thought of him as a freak with two tails. He grew up alone and isolated, before finally running away from home after a fight with his father, who never believed in his talent. He tried to create inventions for the good of the world, and was finally accepted by Sonic and the gang. However, before then, he met Amy in the orphanage, where he got his free meals, and encouraged her to escape the shell she made for herself and be truly who she is again.

("For his name is Knuckles, but unlike Sonic he does not chuckle." can that be his rhyme? PLEASE?!)

"You may see not one thing torn, but within his heart is where it is worn."

Knuckles grew up with a big family, but was always the runt, and always picked on and babied. His family was separated after a massive war broke out, his mother hid him but never returned. He found his way into a large and beat up town where he grew up with thugs, who taught him to fight for what he wanted and not let anyone push him around. He brawled for a living, before being given a job to seriously hurt someone, and couldn't do it any longer. He ran off to find Tails and Amy, who saw his injuries from being almost beaten to a pulp for not doing his 'duty' and even though he resisted, they patched and healed him up. Their kindness saved his life, figuratively and literally.

"This one is far from emptiness, for from such he became guiltless."

Sonic's family was dirt poor, broke. And they gave him away hoping he would have a better life, when really, he was made to race and fight for entertainment purposes. Fleeing from that scene, he learned how to fend for only himself and leave emotions behind. He began to praise himself because there was no one to really give him any confidence boost in life. Sonic's life was full of his own decisions, whether they be wrong or right in other's eyes, it doesn't matter. He did it his way, and he never looked back. Meeting Tails, Knuckles, and Amy, he is slowly learning to accept others, and to stop shielding people away, worried he may start caring again. To him, such things made him weak and lame, but slowly… he was growing stronger through acceptance and friendship.

After learning the truth, the four misfits of life came together in a group hug, as Fate stated, "Now here be four, made one by love, war, and much, much more."
