The gang visited their Water friends (Merpeople) in their new hope beyond the dam, and found a really beautiful paradise. Finding some natural water slides in the waterfalls, the team got their beach equipment together and decided to have fun with some of their new friends!

Sonic, on the other hand, refused a swimming lesson by one of the nice sea folk and sat down on his chair, throwing his sunglasses on, and just relaxed as his team mates dived in and climbed up to the water fall.

"Oh, oh! Sonic! Sonic, watch me!" Amy called, jumping on the tippy-top of the waterfall and jumping down, doing some pretty spectacular diving flips before falling into the water.

Sonic had his glasses tipped up slightly as he gave her a closed-eyed smile, "Nice!" he called out, and tried to go back to sleep.

"Sonic! Heh, watch this one! Canon ball!" Knuckles flipped into the water and did a typical water move of making the biggest splash. The sea people flinched back and then laughed, as Sonic was now soaking wet.

He took his glasses off and shook them, before shaking his own head and leg off. "Yeah… splashing. S rank as usual, my friend." he said, a little annoyed, as he put his glasses back on and sighed, trying AGAIN to relax.

"Sonic!"

"Augh." his glasses dipped down. "What?"

"Weeeee!" Tails jumped down the waterfall on it's naturally made water slide, moving through the slight turns as he was then thrown into the water. "Hahah! Did you see that, Sonic? Sonic.."

Sonic was trying to get to sleep, but had peeked on Tails's little 'adventure' in the water.

"Sonic..? Hey, Sonic!"

His ear twitched, but he tried to ignore him. He hoped if he ignored him, he'd think he was sleeping, and leave him be.

"Sonic! Sonic, wake up! Hey, Sonic!"

"Grr…SHUT UP, TAILS!" Sonic snapped, "IT WAS GREAT! LOOKED LIKE LOTS OF FUN! Now let me sleep!" he turned over as Tails dipped his body more into the water, only having the tip of his nose and up out of the water, he blew bubbles, annoyed that Sonic wasn't going to have fun like the rest of the gang.

"Hey, you!"

"Huh? AHHH!"

Amy had gotten out of the water and pushed Sonic out of the chair and into the water.

"Help! HELP! I-I can't swim!" Sonic splashed around, hopelessly, as the team giggled. "Why are you all just standing around like that..!? blup blup, PAH! Help me!" he was half way under the water before Knuckles walked over, towering over him.

"Dude.. you're in the kiddy pool." he guestured to in front of him.

"Huh?" Sonic leaned up, and looked around to see Sea folk Mother's and their children, all staring at him and a bit afraid of his odd behavior, holding their children as he had just splashed into the shallow waters.

"…Oh."

The gang laughed again.
