Knuckles: After conquering a bunch of robot-scum that tried to destroy the village, Knuckles is praised as a hero, but it's all getting a little to much to the gang as Knuckles is letting it get to his head. Now, he's taking the whole 'hero' business to far, and placing his friends in more danger and causing more problems to occur. "I've got this! Huh?" Tails is about to strike a robot when Knuckles extends his arm, stopping him in mid-flight. "Don't worry, Tails! Let the REAL hero show you how's it done!" He ends up knocking out the robot, but three more get by him just because he's showing off on that ONE robot. "Knuckles! Quit playing around! You let three go right past you!" Tails scolds him, and flies after the other three, throwing magnetic bombs on them to make sure they explode and don't go near the village. "Just cause you got a lucky break doesn't make you a hero, Knuckles." Sonic comments, causing Knuckles to throw a fit and challenge him to a 'hero off'. Amy sets up the games and they compete against each other. "You're still no hero, Knuxy!" "Ohhh, I'll show you!" "Knuckles, knuckles, knuckles!" The crowd cheers, as Knuckles lets the fame get to him and looks to the crowd, smiling and waving, before running right into a tree. "Haha!" Sonic mocks, and continues to end up winning. "I don't get it, how come you won?" Knuckles looks down, saddened by the turn of events. "I had fans cheering me, wealth being poured down on me, heck, even girls fawning over me, hehe…" he blushed, and scratched his head. "But why are YOU the hero?" He looked back to Sonic, as he sighed and went up to his friend. "It's the heart, Knuckles. That's what makes a true hero." he then looked to Tails and Amy. "It's not the crowd or the glory that makes you a hero, it's who you are as a person. It's your friends that you keep safe, and only ask that they stick with you until the end. No hero's worship required." Knuckles learns his lesson and the next time he's on duty, and Lyric's robots attack, he defeats them and stops the crowd from cheering for him. "Listen, guys, thank you for your kind praises but…" he looks to his team as they run to find him. "All I need is your support.. and kindness." The people are grateful and hold a feast for Knuckles, and this time, he makes sure not to let it get to his head! "Food for everyone!" He shouts out, as the team all shout back in glee, eating to their hearts content.
Amy: Fear has never been a problem for Amy, she's usually very confident in herself, until, that is, rumors spark up that are simple untrue about her. She fears for how people will view her, and is convinced there's a way to prove the rumors wrong, she abandons the team to do everything opposite of what the rumors state of her. "Since she's a girl, she doesn't like getting down and dirty, so she usually let's the guys rough house with the robots." "GGGRRRRRR!" Amy dives into a mud pile, wrestling a pig that was sleeping in it. "Rough and dirty! See!? I'm not afraid of a little mud!" The pig snorts in her face, and she pulls away from it. "EWW! It's all over my face!" The rumors than get more intensified, thanks to her 'solving' them, and the team grow worried about Amy's health, seeing her obsessing over proving the rumors wrong. "Amy! This has to stop, I mean, just look at you!" Tails states, shivering as she looks to him, eyes twitching, hair a mess with leafs, twigs, and mud all in it and causing her quills to stick out of place, along with her dress being filthy. "I have to show them. Show them that's not how I am." She seems to be going crazy, so the gang 'capture' her and throw her in a bag, taking her to Sticks. "What do we do!? She's so concerned about what others think that she won't listen to reason!" Tails explains, as Knuckles and Sonic try to keep Amy in the bag, as she struggles. "NOO! I must prove to them, I must show them it's not me!" she sounds crazy as she frantically fights to get out of the bag. Sticks looks at the scene, very calmly, and puts her hand to her chin. "Ehmm… Ehmm, okay. Now, have you all tried telling her who she is?" The boys look confused, looking to each other. "I thought not." Sticks walks over and grabs the bag, as Sonic and Knuckles move away. "Amy, Amy… Amy!" she gets a hold of Amy and stops her. "Gee, I haven't seen crazy like this since I lost my left shoe." she then sighed, "Look, your a beautiful, strong young woman who shouldn't worry about how others view you. By being yourself, people will see who you truly are. Now, there's always gonna be haters who tell others lies to despise you, but you know what?" Prove them wrong, prove them wrong, prove them wrong-" Sticks shuts Amy up by placing her hand over her mouth. "You're Amy Rose. And you don't give two rings about what they say. Understand?" The whole team then confide and talk about what they know Amy to be, and Amy slowly snaps out of her hysteria to realize the rumors were slowly becoming her the more she tried to prove them wrong. "I just made it worse and worse… but now I see. I just need to ignore them and be who I am. Thanks you guys." She smiles and tears up, as the gang huddle together, and embrace. Eggman attacks then, and the gang heads out, as the people see Amy looking cool, determined, awesome, and composed in the heat of battle. The rumors are proven false by her just being herself and not thinking about them, and the people move on to praising her in conversation. "I wish I was strong like Amy!" "I kinda want to be that independent too!" "When I grow up, I'll be a warrior too! Just like Amy Rose!" "See? That's who you are!" Sticks pats Amy's back, and she never has an issue with fear again, as it should be.
