Sonamy Boom Prompt: Eggman challenges the gang to an air boarding race! (like the one in the Sonic Boom cartoon trailer) But there's a catch: Eggman gets to choose the competitor he goes up against, and he chooses Amy since she has the least experience on a board. Before the race, Sonic notices she's extremely stressed and he coaches her. She ends up winning!

Awww~ :D This has so many possiblities and is SOOOO cute! One order of hypothetical Boom!Sonamy coming right up! :D
(Since it's like Sonic Riders XD)
Eggman is at his wits end! And the hoverboard's for that matter…
Failing to destroy Sonic, he decides to make a deal with him instead… tricking him into believing Eggman would choose 'him' as the competitor, he ends up picking Amy, whose not very used to hoverboard racing. (Do they Air Gear in there? I'll just start calling it Air Gear.)
Sonic, feeling the stakes are too high now, dedicates himself to training Amy through a rigorous training program as Tails and Knuckles worry about what may happen if she loses…
During such training, this little moment occurs~
Sonic is on the ground, moving his hand up and down as Amy does Push-Ups and blows a whistle every time she successfully does so. "Alright! On your board, missy, chop chop! No slow feet on my track, upsy-daisy, now move move move!" he seems to be drilling her, as she exhausted and lays on her board, breathing hard.
"Sonic, look…-huff huff- I know there's a lot riding on this, -huff huff-."
Sonic glares at her.
"..No pun intended." she rolls her eyes up, upset he would be so fixated on that small part as she continued, feeling herself about to collapse. "But don't you think you should be..-huff huff- teaching me about balance and racing more than physical strength?" she asked.
"Amy, strength is balance." he got up to her board, "Move over a little…let me show you." Having her get up, he put a hand around her waist, as he was behind her, and patted her stomach. "This has to be tight and strong, or you'll wobble everywhere and not have enough control of your board. You could lose balance and fall, and that's not a risk I'm willing to take with you." He moved his hand took her arms, moving them out to the sides. "One up front for a visual line of where you want the board to go and balance check, the other behind for further balance check and just in case you need to look behind you, you can still move the board and know where you want it to go with that guideline."
"…wait…you can ride backwards?" Amy looked behind her as he narrowed his eyes at her loss of focus and pushed her eyes back forward.
"Yes, pay attention." he stated, and began moving her feet. She blushed a bit, this was the most intimate she's ever been with a boy… "..What are you staring at?" Sonic asked from below her, as she blushed and shook her head, before looking forward again.
"…hmph, alright. Well, bend your knees a bit but don't lean forward to much unless you want the board to-WOOOAHH!" She bended forward on accident and Sonic fell off. His head quickly came back into view as Amy waved her arms everywhere and had one foot off the board before regaining her balance. "HARD LEFT! HARD LEFT!" Sonic ran after her, hoping to help her.
"What?" She looked back, and then forward, gasping. A huge bank was coming up, what could she do!? She hadn't learned how to drift yet!"
"Amy! Bend down."
She did so, quickly.
"Grab the board!"
Done.
"Now LEAN like it was a wave on the water!"
She did so, and with his instruction, was able to make a tight drift. She stood up and adjusted herself, able to stop the Air Gear as it hovered down and she got off. "Phew.. that was.."
"DUMB! COMPLETE, UTTERLY, STUPID! I hurt my butt, just so you know!" Sonic stomped over to her, upset he was kicked off, but really, he was just venting because he was worried sick about her safety. "Huh? What's with that face?" he asked, seeing she was grinning from ear to ear.
"I..I… raced! And it felt GREAT!" she cheered, as he looked confused before smiling.
"Way to go, kiddo." he gave her a closed-eyed, thumbs up.
Amy won against Eggman's better judgement, and from that day on, she was pretty darn skilled at Air Gear Racing, even taking on Sonic a time or two, but never really able to snag first from him.
"Oh, Amy." Sonic kid, coming in first again. "There's still so much to teach you." he placed his hand to the side of his face, slightly gloating about his victory, as she just gave him a sly expression before laughing.
"I'd be happy to learn, whenever you can teach." she revved up her air gear.
"Heh, anytime!" he smirked, and took off with her following close behind.
