Lincoln sat at his desk waiting for his best friend Clyde so that the Action News Team could start their morning announcements.
"I wonder what's taking Clyde so long? I hope he's okay!" Stella looked outside of the classroom door to see any sign of him coming. Before Lincoln to showcase any signs of worry, Clyde finally walked in the classroom looking a bit frantic and tired from the running, he immediately sat on the empty chair next to his best friend.
Rusty who was standing behind the camera started the countdown to begin the announcements and the camera was on unbeknownst to Clyde as he turned to Lincoln to tell him some unexpected news. "Luan has a boyfriend, did you know that?" Lincoln turned to face Clyde with a confused look on his face. "What?, no she doesn't." The white haired boy shook his head. If any of his siblings were in a relationship he would have known about it by now. "But it's true!" Clyde claimed. "I have evidence to prove it." Clyde handed the evidence of pictures to Lincoln who took it immediately to examine them.
Clyde was right, the first picture he looked at showed Luan and Benny holding hands with each other while on a walk to the park with her friends. The next picture showed them kissing and finally the last picture showed Benny kissing her forehead. Shocked by this discovery, Lincoln turned to his best friend who told him more unexpected news.
"I asked around and it turns out, they've been together for six months." Clyde immediately closed his eyes waiting for his best friend to explode. "So what you're trying to tell me is that my fourth elder sister has been in a relationship for six months and hasn't said anything to us?!" He looked at his friend who nodded in response. "Who knows Lincoln, Maybe it's a misunderstanding and forgot to tell you." Clyde knew what he was saying didn't make Lincoln feel any better when he revealed that he was told they've been together for six months.
After a few minutes of awkward silence, Rusty cleared his throat to catch everyone's attention. "You do know that the camera was recording the entire time right?" He pointed out the red button that showed a visible green light. Lincoln's eyes widened in realization, the entire middle school heard this conversation and in a few weeks was about to go viral. Luckily Stella and Zach decided to take over and do the announcements for them.
It was finally Lunch time but all Lincoln could think about was Luan's secret relationship. And of course his reaction went viral to the point students were making comments about it like 'I Totally Understand Why His Sister Kept It A Secret' to 'She Might Not Invite You to her Wedding At All'. Those comments made him think that Luan didn't have trust in him at all he felt like he did something wrong. "Cheer up Lincoln, After school you should go and talk to her." Stella suggested while his other friends nodded in agreement. Lincoln smiled, he was super glad that his friends were being supportive of his situation. He didn't know where he'd be without them.
A little while later, Lincoln was now back home alongside all his siblings except for Luna who was staying over at Mazzy's for sleepover, and Lori who was staying in college.
He was in the living room with Luan, Lucy, and Leni who were watching V.O.M. "I can't believe he lied to her about having a girlfriend who does that!" Leni looked very upset about what happened. Luan, who was scrolling on her phone looked in her direction. "She should've been more honest with him from the beginning." Lucy nodded in agreement. "Yeah, that's rich coming from you." Lincoln replied as he was watching the television. He didn't really mean to sound annoyed but it just came out that way. Luan, Leni, and Lucy turned their head to stare at their only brother. They looked very confused from what he was saying. "Uh, Lincoln do you need to vent about anything?" Leni looked at Luan who also shared a worried look that she was mirroring. "Did anything happen at school? You could always tell us anything." And there it was again with the being honest. Lincoln sighed, he really needed to talk to Luan right now.
"Luan, do you have any good quality cameras that don't pie anyone in the face? Ours broke earlier." Luan nodded as she got up from the couch motioning him to follow her up the stairs toward Luan and Luna's shared bedroom. Lincoln closed the door and ran towards Luan who was about to open the closet for what he was asking for. "I really need to talk to you about something. Lincoln stared seriously into her eyes and she patted for him to sit on her bed. "Alright, I'm listening." The fourth sister replied as she waited for him to say what was on his mind.
Lincoln took a deep breath and explained the whole situation that happened at school on how he found out from Clyde that she had a boyfriend and how he embarrassed himself in front of everyone along with how he was afraid that she might leave this family and never talked to them ever again. And for the first time in his Life, he realized how much Luan holds a special place for him to have a breakdown over her ever leaving.
After a few minutes of silence, The comedian spoke up and let out a small sigh. "Lincoln, I did say something five months ago, I told everyone not to take it seriously due to thinking it wouldn't last." Luan giggled a bit just thinking about how this is the longest kept secret she hid from her family.
She looked at the pictures Clyde took to give Lincoln as evidence. The comedian smiled as she admired the picture of her and Benny sharing a kiss and teared up a bit which concerned her brother. "Are you okay?" Lincoln freaked out a bit finding a tissue that was on her desk that she could use to wipe her tears. His sister never really cried a lot unless she was sad about something but she wasn't a person who cried over anything really.
"I'm Okay!" Luan said reassuring him that she was fine. "You have no idea how happy Benny makes me and I hid it from you unintentionally." Luan wiped her tears away before throwing the tissue in the trash bin. "I love him Lincoln, I told him all about you and how cool you are." Lincoln smiled widely. Luan thinks he's cool. "I can't wait for you to meet him one day." The comedian says pulling him in for a hug. "I can't wait to meet him too." He replied as his sister pulled away from the hug. "I'm really sorry Clyde spied on you guys and told me." Lincoln rubbed the back of his neck looking guilty. "Lincoln, he was just acting like a good friend who thought you should be concerned. Honestly if he didn't I would have been married to Benny by the time you found out."
The siblings laughed at the before Lincoln asked her an important question. "Tell me all about how your relationship started." He watched her eyes lit up with happiness as she talked about the moment where their relationship began. Romeo and Juliet.
The next day at school The Action News Team started their morning announcements. "Uh, before we begin I have an update." Lincoln stared at the camera ready to begin his statement. "As you all know, I found out my sister was in a relationship for six months. It turns out she did tell us at dinner one day but we completely ignored her so it was completely my fault for making it a big deal. But we talked it out and I can say that she is completely happy and that's all a younger brother could ask for." Lincoln turned to face Clyde who was crying his eyes out. He turned to look at Zach, Rusty, and Stella who was also crying. "Alright guys! Now for this week's lunch schedule..."
