Chapter 1

Electra sat in her bedroom, thinking about how messed up her life had been since Voldemort had returned. She thought over everything that had happened in the previous year. She can still feel the resentment, grief, and anger for what she had been through and experienced. She thought back to her other years at Hogwarts. While she loved magic and the school as a whole, she was tired of having to keep herself safe and keep the school from any danger. Infuriated Electra that she never received 'Thank Yous' or anything to show their gratitude, only gaining house points.

Electra went and settled in her bed under her duvet. She knew sleep wasn't going to come easy for her. She hasn't had a single peaceful night since her name came out of the Triwizard Tournament. She spent the whole year with her anxiety sky high and with high frustration. Despite being only fourteen, she was forced to compete since it was a magical contract. She had to compete with three seventeen-year-olds who knew much more magic than she did.

She wasn't too surprised when the majority of the school had turned on her. It happened during her second year, so she wasn't surprised that they did it again. The Slytherins were just a pain as always, mainly Draco Malfoy since he's the one who created those stupid badges. She gets why the Hufflepuffs were pissed off and the other Champions thought she was trying to take the glory away from them. Electra didn't even want it in the first place. The thought of Cedric Diggory made her heart hurt as she remembered his lifeless face looking up at him after being killed.

For some reason she thought Ravenclaws would be understanding but when she learned that they weren't kind to their house members that thought went down the drain. Gryffindor's reaction hurt the most despite celebrating her part in that deadly tournament, she knew they wouldn't believe her when she said she didn't enter.

These thoughts brought up many bitter feelings. Like when she thought about her so-called best friend, Ronald Weasley, who always abandoned her when she needed him. Electra knew he was a jealous person, he had always shown it when he thought Electra wasn't paying attention. She would've thought he would be there for her now but Ron declared Electra a liar and a cheat. Ron thought Electra should have brought him into the fold, so he could have a chance to be selected.

Electra was then filled with happiness and warmth when she thought about her true best friend, Hermione Granger, who had always stuck by her side throughout the year. Hermione helped Electra with spells and clues she'll need to survive. Hermione is amazing and intelligent even if she has a few flaws. She knew she could rely on Hermione. Then Electra thought about her godfathers, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin, the two men in her life she could trust. Even if Sirius is an escaped convict, she knows he is innocent. Remus, the werewolf who would protect her no matter what. She only saw them as her godfather/uncles

"Bloody hell" She groaned. She felt how her body was reacting to those images in her head about Hermione. She is ashamed of herself for those inappropriate thoughts of her best friend. She for some reason knew Hermione was the one of the people for her. She hated not being able to show her affection because of a certain jealous redhead.

She jumped from her bed and took a seat at her desk as he grabbed some parchment and a quill. Trying to figure out what to write to Hermione about her problems. Before she even began writing, the sound of tapping on her window caused her to jump slightly. There was a gorgeous brown owl with white spots scattered throughout its feathers, its gorgeous hazel eyes looking at him intelligently through the glass. She quietly opened the window and smiled as the owl gave her a quiet hoot like it knew any loud noises meant trouble.

"Hello gorgeous, is this for me?" She cooed and slightly chuckled as the owl nodded. Electra took the letter and offered the owl a few of Hedwig's treats, much to Hedwig's disapproval, and then watched as the owl took flight back into the night sky.

Once she closed the window and went back to her desk, Electra looked at the letter and was shocked to see it was from Gringotts. With a small hum, she opened the letter.

Dear Lady Electra Lyra Potter,

We at Gringotts have been trying to contact you on many occasions but haven't received a single response. It took us quite a bit to realize that there must be wards around the property of Privet Drive that may prevent certain letters from reaching you. Thankfully, we managed to figure out a way to get this letter to you and wish for you to attend a meeting with your account manager. We need to discuss your inheritance. This parchment is a Portkey and when ready please call out "Dragon" and it shall transport you to the bank.

May your gold flow and enemies bleed from your blade.

King Ragnok of the Goblin Nation.

Electra stared at the letter with wide eyes and had to re-read it a few times. She always wondered what else she could learn about her magical family since all she heard were stories about her parent's lives when they were in Hogwarts. She had a strange feeling in her stomach, as much as she was excited, she was also very nervous because it became clear that things were being kept away from her. Like her middle name, she was always told it was Rose. But Lyra sounded more like her.

Electra looked out the window and she frowned, noticing a tall man walking up and down the street. Even though that was suspicious by itself, what caught her attention was the blue wizarding robes. Was she being watched? Is this one of Voldemort's men looking for her to take her? She wasn't sure but she could escape either way thanks to Gringotts Portkey.

"Goodnight gorgeous" Electra whispered to her beloved Hedwig, who let out a quiet hoot as a response as she settled in bed again. Luckily, sleep found her easily.
