Merged Maelstrom: The Ootsutsuki Hunter
In which two Narutos come together to save one of their reset worlds from an encroaching Ootsutsuki invasion and takeover.
[The Uzukage]
Uzumaki Naruto was a Kyuubi Jinchuriki, born and raised in Uzushiogakure no Sato. He was the son of Uzumaki Kushina, the former Kyuubi Jinchuriki and Yondaime Uzukage; and Namikaze Minato, the Yellow Flash and Yondaime Hokage. With many achievements under his belt, Naruto would go on to become the Head of the Uzumaki clan and the Godaime Uzukage once his mother retired. He was also the Hero of the Fourth Shinobi World War, like his father before him in the Third Shinobi World War, dealing the decisive blow to the revived Uchiha Madara.
He was taught by his mother and father to be an exceptional shinobi. He'd learned by seeing and doing, was an expert in his primary elements of Wind and Water Jutsu, and mastered his parents and clans' specialties in fuinjutsu, Time-Space Jutsu, and Chakra Chains. He graduated from the Academy at 12 and became Chunin at 15 at the Chunin Exams in Konoha, his father's birthplace.
He had many accolades during this time, such as helping Konoha repel Orochimaru, prevent Kumo from invading Uzu, and eliminate multiple Jonin-level Iwa ninja for trying to kill him for his father's actions in the Third Shinobi World War.
After his promotion, he went on to become Fuinjutsu Seal Master, slayed many sea monsters plaguing the waters of Uzushio, ended single-handedly ending piracy trespassing in Uzushio's domain, and went on to defeat the Akatsuki before a Fourth Shinobi World War could be started on their terms.
The terrorist organization, the Akatsuki, attempted to take over the world with the Bijuu, but failed when Uzu and the Five Great Shinobi Villages: Konoha, Suna, Kiri, Kumo, and Iwa came together as a united front to repel them. Naruto, who was 16 and a Chunin at the time, had been a key part in the war and was involved in ending the Akatsuki threat. The fact he'd nearly lost his parents just when he was born because of their real leader motivated him to no end. Said leader, who was his father's former student Uchiha Obito, suffered Naruto's wrath for his betrayal before stealing his unique Kamui ability.
Slowly but surely, he grew in power, finally syncing with Kurama and using Sage Mode with the chakra fox. Using fuinjutsu alongside his new powers, he defeated Obito and Madara, the latter when he foolishly became mortal, and absorbed their powers. Because Obito nearly cost him his family and betrayed his father in doing so, Naruto executed Obito when he resisted, but was unable to finish off Madara, whose body was used by Black Zetsu to revive Ootsutsuki Kaguya.
Only for Naruto to seal Kaguya inside himself, becoming her Jinchuriki, and ending the Fourth Shinobi World War by killing Madara in mortal kombat.
A few years after the war, he took on the mantle of Godaime Uzukage from his mother. During his time as Uzukage, he kept the peace in the Elemental Nations and maintained it; keeping order and ending wars before they started. Some villages didn't appreciate some of the interference, but during Naruto's reign, no Shinobi World War ever firsted up again. He also repelled the threat of the Ootsutsuki invasion and became really good at killing Ootsutsuki; thanks to Naruto successfully taming Kaguya, and showing no mercy to those that threatened his home and family.
This continued throughout his tenure as Uzukage, and despite the threat of the Ootsutsuki, he was able to have a family with his lover, an Ootsutsuki who was adopted into the Uzumaki clan. She was his childhood friend who he married, resulting in her becoming his Head Wife. His wives and children gave him even more motivation to end the Ootsutsuki invasion, and he did just that. Once he rendered the Ootsutsuki clan extinct sans his wife and Kaguya, he ruled and protected Uzushio until he retired and passed the mantle to one of his worthy children.
And now, after an eventful life, Naruto was on his deathbed in his home, an old man surrounded by his sons, daughters, grandsons, and granddaughters. Knowing that the future was in safe hands, Uzumaki Naruto took his last breath with his signature foxy smile and peacefully passed away, the cries of his children being the last thing he heard.
[The Afterlife]
Naruto opened his eyes and looked around, finding himself in a field of grass. He looked down and saw that he was in his primary outfit. He had on a black long-sleeve shirt with red flames and orange sleeves, with a flak jacket over it and his clan symbol on the back. His cargo pants were also black but with orange as well with shuriken holsters tied on his thigh. He also had on blue fingerless gloves and toeless ninja boots, a Uzukage cloak with the title on the back, his Uzukage hat on his back, and his Uzu headband tied around his head. Finally, his Uzu headband was wrapped securely around his head.
"So, this is the afterlife, eh? A little dreary…and empty…" he muttered and cleared his throat. "Huh, I'm not an old man anymore. Guess I have to look my best while in the great beyond. Now where's Shiro-chan?"
He was about to walk forward when he heard someone clear their voice behind him. "Hello there, Uzumaki Naruto of Uzushiogakure."
Naruto frowned and spun around to find something not where he looked before: a table with an umbrella, with someone sitting in the shade and drinking tea. It was a woman Ortiental features with black hair with blonde hair tied in a ponytail, and yellow eyes. She had fair skin with her limbs reflecting the cosmos, a voluptuous figure with large breasts, and wearing nothing but an almost see-through silky kimono that growed a generous amount of cleavage.
"Or should I call you by one of your many titles?" she asked as Naruto walked over. "Godaime Uzukage. Child of Miracles. Serpent Slayer. Pirate Reaper. Fox Sage. Akatsuki's Ender. Ootsutsuki Killer."
"..Just Naruto is fine," he replied when he arrived at the table, "Who are-" Suddenly, the setting changed to a bar, with Naruto sitting on a stool at the counter. The Goddess, still in her skimpy kimono, was now shaking a mixer and making her bust bounce about. The last part had Naruto''s full attention, for he was a man after all. "...You?" he finished.
"Who am I?" she asked, giggling at the attention the blonde was giving her. "I'm Izakaya, just a passing by Goddess making her way through the Multiverse."
"...The Multiverse is real?" Naruto whispered curiously, their eyes meeting.
"As real as your accomplishments and the life you live. The Multiverse is full of what-ifs and endless possibilities. Like what if you were born in Konoha but don't have your parents to raise you." she said as she set a glass down.
"Scary thought, and oddly specific." Naruto said, feeling a shiver crawl up his spine.
"There's more, such as that origin story, only to escape the village and train under Orochimaru." she continued, with Naruto looking green. "It's not all bad. There's one where you're an Uchiha, with Uchiha Mikoto as your mother, the shinobi world being a fantasy land and you're a kitsune, you being older than your peers, the list goes on."
"That's a lot to take in, but I'm happy with the life I lived and I would change it for nothing." Naruto said dryly and his eyes narrowed. "So where are you going with this? You brought me here for a reason and I don't think it's because you wanted to share stories about how I could be different. In fact," he added, watching as Izakaya poured the drink. "I suspect you want me to go to one of these worlds to help one of my counterparts?"
"Look at you being a smarty pants," Izakaya cooed before clearing her throat. "Ahem. In a way, yes. This one is primarily based on the prime world of your existence, only with a bad ending that threatens to ripple across the fabric of the multiverse if left unchecked."
"The prime world? As in, my existence's true origin?"
"Yep. It's the one I mentioned. You were born in Konoha, but not raised by your parents."
"...Mother of God."
"Oh, you playboy." Izakaya cooed teasingly before turning serious again. "But back to the subject at hand. This world is the only one that's achieved a bad end and was going to be destroyed. But of course, with my godly powers, I prevented it by turning back time to a certain point. The gods aren't supposed to interfere in the affairs of man, but the risk was too great to ignore."
"And what could be so powerful that it threatens the multiverse?" a curious Naruto asked.
"...The Ootsutsuki." she revealed, sliding the drink to him.
Naruto frowned. "The Ootsutsuki, eh? My other self should be more than enough to deal with them. I mean, look at me, I did. What happened?"
"Stuff happened and circumstances were different. Your other self didn't take the same path or discipline you did. Thus the Age of Shinobi ended rather prematurely in that world," Izakaya said sadly. "That Naruto was the God's Chosen One, and became the perfect avatar to protect the world from the Ootsutsuki, along with Uchiha Sasuke."
"Oh? Uchiha Sasuke, huh?" Naruto drawled, rolling his eyes. "I'm surprised they got along, considering the Uchiha's personality."
"Your Sasuke and his Sasuke are similar, yet different. For one, the latter didn't let this clan superiority go to his head…too much I should add." Izakaya said at Naruto's raised eyebrow. "Both Naruto and Sasuke shared two halves of the Rikudou Sennin's power, unlike you."
"Well that explains it." Naruto grumbled, picking up his drink and seeing his reflection in it. "It's easier to have the complete powers of the Rikudou Sennin on hand. Thanks to that, my battles with the Ootsutsuki clan were less of a hassle."
"That and you had a pretty wife you grew up with, who was also an Ootsutsuki," she teased her, with him nodding in agreement.
"So I'm guessing you want me to go to this world and deal with the Ootsutsuki threat. If so, I'm game. I happen to be pretty good at exterminating Ootsutsuki's. Believe it." Naruto declared and downed his drink. "Hmm, this is Matcha Hai, but instead of lemon juice, you used orange juice."
"That's right! You're good! But yes, I want you to go to that world and take care of the Ootsutsuki threat. However," she leaned forward, giving him a full view of her cleavage. "I want you to prove to me your power, to see if you have what it takes!"
Naruto shamelessly stared at her cleavage before smirking at her. "A test. Figures." he grumbled as Izakaya walked around the bar and to the door.
"Follow me. The test shall begin soon…"
The blonde Uzukage nodded and followed her into the light.
[The Shadows]
Izakaya allowed Naruto to rest for a few hours before beckoning him to follow her. She led him to a wide-open arena area reminiscent of one of Konoha Chunin Test areas where the Third Test preliminaries took place. She saw Naruto, who was covered in a hood and a cloak covering his body, looking around in wonder before spotting someone else walking towards him.
"This is the perfect place for your test, as well as that one's." she said, drawing his attention. "And from here, I'll be referring to you as the Uzukage."
"Wait, why?" he asked, looking confused. "What is this test?"
Izakaya just smirked as Naruto and the other cloaked figure stopped at her hand motion, and walked over to stand between them.
"You both had the same, yet similar talk and offer. And now for the aforementioned test." she stated as she gazed at them. "You may remove your cloaking now."
Naruto flipped off the hood and shrugged his shoulders, removing the cloak. One look at the guy opposite him doing the same, and his eyes widened as he recognized the man, who shared the same look.
He was as tall as him, had spiky yet shorter yellow-blonde hair, blue eyes, and whisker-marks on his cheeks. He was wearing a long-sleeved orange coat with black lines on the bottom, and a white cape cloak over it with red flame designs; and held together by red rope. He also had on black pants, black ninja shoes, and his right arm and hand covered in bandages.
It was him, and they were both Uzumaki Naruto.
"What…"
"...The hell?"
"The test is thus, gentlemen! The world that was once destroyed has had its time reset and has avoided destruction by my intervention! It is a lifeline that can only be used once, and if wasted, the multiverse will be endangered!" the Goddess declared as the Uzumaki men stared at her. "But only one of you can be that hero…"
"To my right is Uzumaki Naruto, the original denizen of that world, born in Konohagakure by the union of Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina. He is known by many names: the Number One Hyperactive Knucklehead Ninja, the Child of the Prophecy, the Hero of the Hidden Leaf, and the Boy of Miracles! Through many hardships and ordeals, he became a capable ninja, regarded as a hero both by the villagers after defeating Pein; as well as the rest of the world in the Fourth Shinobi World War; defeating Uchiha Obito, Uchiha Madara, and Ootsutsuki Kaguya! He is now known as the Seventh, and last, Hokage!"
"And to my left is Uzumaki Naruto, an alternate version of the aforementioned Naruto, only born in Uzushiogakure by the union of Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina. He is also known by many names: the Ace of the Uzumaki clan, the Child of Miracles, the Serpent Slayer, the Pirate Reaper, Akatsuki's End, God Sealer, and many others, but the most important, is the Ootsutsuki Killer! Surrounded by many who brought out all of his potential, pushing his body to peak physical and mental conditioning, he made himself to be the definition of the ninja and hailed as a hero who ended the Akatsuki and saved his world many times. He later went on to defeat other terrorist orgaizations and repelled the Ootsutsuki invasion as the Godaime Uzukage!"
The two stared at each other for what felt like an eternity during the introductions. The Uzukage's eyes were twitching, while the Hokage looked dumbstruck with white eyes.
"Oi, what the hell is this, Goddess?" the Uzukage bit out, making creaking sounds as he turned to the now smug-looking Goddess.
"Yeah, what is going on here? How is he…part of my test?" the Hokage added, with the Uzukage now looking back at him and frowned.
Unlike the Uzukage, who looked fresh as a dairy, the Hokage looked worn out, with bags under his eyes that looked as if they knew pain and despair.
"Simple, boys. One of you is going to be the one that goes to the rewound world. While Hokage Naruto here royally messed up, I'm willing to give him a second chance. But the other side of me doesn't trust him to correct things, so I called in an outside source who knows what he's doing." the Goddess drawled, with the Uzukage feeling a sense of dread.
"So…we'll have to fight for it- No, I have to prove myself against him." the Hokage said, narrowing his eyes at the concerned Uzukage.
"That's right. You need to show me that you still got it, Nanadaime. If not, it'll be the Godaime here who'll take your place." Izakaya said with a bite of coolness. "And pardon my French, but I'm not fucking around here. The Ootsutsuki are dangerous, and I can't afford for them to destroy a world that risks exposing the multiverse to them. If they find out about it, life across the multiverse will cease to exist…"
The Uzukage grimaced at that. "That's bad, huh? I mean, they had grand ambition. Damn, I knew they were extremely dangerous, but…geez."
"Then you know what you must do, Ootsutsuki Killer." the Goddess stated bluntly and took a step back. "You too, Konoha's Orange Hokage. Whenever you are ready."
The Uzukage grumbled as he rubbed the back of his head, before sighing when he saw the Hokage slowly take a fighting stance. The former gazed at him, noticing that his counterpart was trying to control his shaking; as well as his facial muscles, trying to look determined but cracks of his desperation showed through.
"C'mon, what are you waiting for?" the Hokage asked with a bit of frustration. "Come at me. Let's go!"
"...What happened?" the Uzukage asked, looking at the now-curious Goddess and back to his other self, while discreetly summoning a scroll in his hand. "You are me, and I am you. The Ootsutsuki clan should've been cake, a simple bowl of ramen for you to finish. And yet they managed to destroy your world with you there. So I ask again, what happened?"
'Well, this is interesting. I expected the Uzukage Naruto to just go in blasting, but he's willing to hear out the Hokage Naruto,' Izakaya thought with a raised eyebrow, hiding part of her face behind a small black fan. 'Didn't expect him to initiate Talk no Jutsu…This is feeling like a role reversal of sorts.'
He knew both of them from studying their history. The Hokage Naruto was the type who kept the pacifist-type, opting to find a peaceful solution first before engaging in combat. The Uzukage Naruto however was Rasengan-first, ask questions later type of guy.
"And I doubt time is relative here. So lay it on me," the Uzukage said, making a beckoning motion with his free hand.
"What is there to say that I won't be judged for? I messed up and the village paid the price for what I allowed to happen. But once I get past you, I'll be able to better protect the village and defeat the Ootsutsuki!" the Hokage declared and charged at the Uzukage.
The Hokage took a swing with his bandage fist, but the Uzukage hopped over him and landed where his counterpart was. The Hokage 'tched' and leapt forward with a kick that the Uzukage blocked. The latter parried it by lifting his arm up to push his other side back, before forming a Rasenshuriken with Lightning Chakra arcing off it and threw it. The Hokage twisted his body in the air to evade before landing and jumping back.
"Right, but the fact that Izakaya-san pulled me from a well-deserved vacation in the afterlife means that you did more than royally screw up. The shots she took in your introduction were barely subtle. I would ask you again what happened, but you might clam up and waste more of our time," the Uzukage said and folded his arms. "While I'd love to fight you fair and square, I believe it's for the best that we work together in a fashion."
Izakaya narrowed her eyes. 'What is the Uzukage up to?'
"What? But you heard the Goddess. Only one of us can go back to my world, and while I'm sure your claim as an "Ootsutsuki Killer" is valid, it is my world, my problem!"
The Hokage rushed the unmoving Uzukage, who scowled at him. When he got close, they engaged in a Taijutsu fist-fight. Both of them were perfectly even as they countered and parried each other's strikes. The only difference is that the Hokage was more on the offensive and the Uzukage focusing on defense. The Hokage attempted Shadow Clones but the Uzukage countered with his own.
"Kage Bunshin Daibakuha!" the Uzukage chanted, causing his clones to explode and taking out the Hokage's own clones.
"That's Itachi's move! How?" the Hokage gasped, his focus waning.
"Itachi-sensei's move? The hell you mean by that? It's just a normal ninjutsu any shinobi can use." the Uzukage countered before moving in.
He broke through the Hokage's guard and unleashed a flurry of chakra-enhanced punches to his chest, the last on knocking the Hokage for a loop. He threw out a jumping spinning roundhouse kick, but the Hokage ducked and countered with a Rasengan. The Uzukage grunted as he conjured his chakra armor and grabbed the offender's arm.
"And your problem? Not from what I'm hearing, Hokage-san. I'm sure Izakaya-san told you about the Multiverse?" the Uzukage asked as he let out a chakra pulse that knocked the Hokage away.
"...Of course!"
"Then you know what's at stake."
"Which is why I'm going to win! I'm sorry, other me!"
The Hokage formed a Big Ball Rasengan and thrust it at the Uzukage, who waited at the last second until reach out and grabbed his wrist; the hostile Rasengan inches from his face.
"What the? How are you so fast?!"
The Uzukage let out a huff. "You should know, Hokage-san. We have different experiences, we have the same genes; but enough about me. Let's talk about us, for I have a proposal that is mutually beneficial for the both of us, Hokage-san."
"I don't know what you're trying to pull, Uzukage, but I won't stand aside for you!" the Hokage said as he tried to push the Rasengan into the Uzukage by increasing its size.
"Oh for…" the Uzukage muttered, his eyes changing as the Rasengan made contact with him.
There was an explosion, with the Hokage jumping back to see the smoking area where the Uzukage was. He sighed and shook his head, looking distraught.
"I know I shouldn't have regrets, but I've made mistakes. After the Fourth Shinobi World War, I was at the top of my game. While Kakashi-sensei was Hokage for a time, I was still the strongest ninja in Konoha. But when I took the mantle, I focused all my efforts on protecting my new family, the village, as the Nanadaime Hokage. As a result, I trained less and struggled against opponents like the Kara organization and the Ootsutsuki clan while depending on Kurama. Even when he sacrificed himself for me, I…" the Hokage gritted his teeth and looked towards where the Uzukage was. "No, this time I'll do it right- what…?"
The Hokage gaped as the smoke cleared and the Uzukage standing there, his eyes closed and unharmed. He cracked his neck menacingly before opening his eyes, revealing slitted pupils with three black rings around it; along with three red tomoe on each of them, and his blue pupils now white in the background.
"Sasuke's Rinnegan? But how?" the Hokage asked, looking tense. "Wait, no… What are those eyes?"
"Sharingan. Rinnegan. Byakugan. Together, they make the Zengan, all made possible by inheriting Old Man Sage's power and all nine Bijuu's chakra." the Uzukage revealed, showing the Sun symbol on his right arm, and the Moon symbol on his left palm. "And if you're wondering about the slits," he pointed at them. "Perks of being a Fox Sage from the teachings of my Fox Summons."
"Uzukage…you…" the Hokage muttered, shaking as he felt the power of his other self's chakra. "I think I can see why you have all those titles."
"I would show you m my final form, but that's reserved for those pesky invading Ootsutsuki, and besides," he tossed the scroll he was holding between them. "We've wasted enough time, ya know?"
When the scroll landed, an Uzumaki-style Sealing Array drew itself on the floor, causing both his counterpart and Izakaya to jump back in surprise.
"What is this? What are you doing?" the Hokage demanded, getting back into his defensive stance.
"I was brought in by Izakaya-san to kill the Ootsutsuki in your world. You want your second chance to protect your world. We both want the same thing, so I say we can help each other by not fighting, but with a third option: coming together." the Uzukage said and held out a fist. "And by coming together, I mean merging our minds, bodies, and souls into one."
The Hokage blinked. "...What?"
"Huh. Didn't see that loophole coming." Izakaya mused as she snapped her fan closed. "Interesting. As always, you have the most unorthodox solutions."
"With my skills in killing Ootsutski and your love for Konoha, we'll be able to prevent the Age of Ninja from ending prematurely. But as the caster of this Jutsu, I'll be in control, and you'll be asleep, but a part of me. I'm sure your soul will influence mine in some way, but at the end of the day, we'll be fulfilling Izakaya-san's mission," the Uzukage said with a determined look. "What do you say, Hokage-san?"
The Hokage just looked at him with surprise and uncertainty. While the offer was enticing, it was ultimately still his world and his responsibility. His failure and weakness caused the end of the Shinobi Era, and his chance to start over was right in front of him. He looked at Izakaya, who shrugged.
"It's not a bad deal. Through your other self, you'll find redemption. Besides," Izakaya gazed at the Uzukage. "I believe that he's still hiding some tricks up his sleeves should you insist on fighting."
"C'mon, I'm not trying to blackmail him or anything. There's no reason for us to fight, especially not for your personal amusement!" the Uzukage grumbled and walked to the Hokage. "We are not enemies. We are Uzumaki Naruto, the Heroes of our Worlds. Together, there's nothing we can't do."
"To be fair, this is more of a dream match than anything, but I understand." Izakaya said, shrugging and shaking her head with an amused look. "I never thought you would find a third option the way you did. You truly are as unpredictable as an Uzumaki." Izakaya praised him and turned to the Hokage. "So what do you say, Hokage? In a sense, through this merger, you'll both be reborn in a sense."
The Hokage, Uzumaki Naruto, looked back at the Uzukage, Uzumaki Naruto, meeting his eyes before letting out a chuckle. What he found in the Uzukage's eyes was something that he just realized he lost.
Hope, determination, and…
"The Will of Fire." he whispered.
"Back in Uzushio, we call it the Will of the Storm." the Uzukage said. "But the Will of Fire is fine too."
The Hokage nodded and shakingly stood up to his feet. "Naruto, honor one last request since we'll be stuck together. My… our family. Tell them I'm sorry, and take care of them. And…" he grimaced and looked away. 'No, I'll let him judge Kawaki for himself… Please, don't make my mistakes, and protect Konoha."
The Uzukage nodded with a small smile and held out his fist. "On my clan name Uzumaki, you have my word, Naruto."
With that, they bumped fists, causing the sealing array to activate, producing pure orange chakra to rise up and engulf them both.
"Oh boy," Izakaya mumbled and giggled as the chakra formed into the shape of a cocoon. "I didn't mean for a monster to be created, but I'm not complaining. I can only hope it can be enough…"
(Shrine)
In what felt like two weeks passing, Izakaya entered the shrine, looking at the orange cocoon that was pulsing with chakra.
"It should be time…" she murmured.
On cue, the chakra began to dissipate, blasting out a gust of wind that lifted the goddess's hair and boobs in her face. When it finally died down, all that was left was Naruto the Uzukage who landed on his feet. He rubbed the back of his head, before turning to see Izakaya.
"Yo." he said, raising his hand and sounding exhausted.
"Are you okay?" Izakaya asked with a tilt of her head.
"Yeah, I finally stabilized after separating my memories from Hokage-san," he grumbled and rubbed his temples. "It's just…ugh…"
"It's the memories themselves, isn't it?" the Goddess guessed in amusement.
"I don't want to knock the guy, I mean he's done good things and has great feats like me…but…"
"Remember, unlike you, he had no parents."
"I know that! It's just…" Naruto facepalmed and rubbed it down. "He had it all after beating Nagato, but I'm still trying to come to grips with what happened afterwards! The Uchiha broke the law and literally invaded the Five Kage Summit! And what happened? My other self got his ass beat by that Kumo chick for not talking, and he hyperventilated into unconsciousness after the Raikage rightfully condemned the Uchiha!"
Izakaya sweatdropped. "...Yeah, that was bad. But like you, he's still human, and Uchiha Sasuke was his…er, friend."
"A weird definition of friendship if you ask me. And how could he have not followed up with Hinata-chan after she nearly died trying to save him, only to get with her two years later?! I…just…" Naruto took a breath to calm himself. "I'm sorely tempted to try and unfuse to knock him upside the head!"
"But it's not all bad, right?" Izakaya asked with a nervous laugh.
Naruto sighed. "No. At least he managed to get through to Zabuza and Gaara like I did, and he nearly beat the Uchiha when he tried to escape. Kinda wished Jiraiya-sensei taught him more than controlling Kurama's chakra and making bigger Rasengans. I can't deny that he had an easier time defeating the Six-Paths of Pain. Those were a bitch to fight back home. And supporting the United Army with Kurama's chakra? Wish I'd thought of that," Naruto noted with a grin. "Shame he didn't kill Obito and Madara like I did."
"Talk no Jutsu is a powerful technique." Izakaya commented cheekily.
"So is a fist to the face, and Obito-teme deserves much worse." Naruto chuckled as he flexed his right hand. "Thank Kami his artificial hand didn't carry over, but Senju Hashirama's Wood Nature sure did."
"There's also the hair." Izakaya noted, brushing it with the back of her hand. "Are you going to cut it?"
"...No." Naruto bluntly stated. "I like this way. Won't be as long as Madara's. However…"
"Hmm?"
"I've noticed that his memories stop up to a certain point." he said, folding his arms. "And I have a feeling that you have something to do with it…"
"Guilty as charged. While the memories are necessary, I don't want you to have this all right away. Just the ones you need. And once you resolve certain issues that you'll be facing, you'll gain access to those memories," Izakaya said brightly.
"Fine then. I don't mind a challenge. I'm sure I'll blast through it." Naruto said, punching his fist into his hand. "So when do I begin?"
Izakaya snapped her fingers, with the doors to the shrine opening, revealing a bright light that was a portal. "As soon as you step through those doors. If there's anything you need to know, speak up."
"Will I be getting any backup?"
"...Yes, at my discretion. You'll know when you see them."
"Good. How soon before shit pops off?"
"In five years time from where you'll be dropped off."
"Any advice?"
"Just don't make your mission your life. Have some fun on the side. Remember, it's just one of many versions of the main prime world. Just don't break the world completely."
Naruto snorted and grinned. "And will I see you again?"
Izakaya smirked at that and leaned forward "Every now and then."
Naruto nodded and walked towards the door. "Then I'm off."
"Good luck. Have a safe trip!"
Naruto stopped in front of the doors and turned towards the Goddess. "Thank you for giving me this chance. I won't let you down, dattebayo!"
"Yeah, yeah, get going already." Izakaya said, waving him off.
Naruto gave her a fox grin before running through the light, with the doors closing behind him.
"...Now then." Izakaya mumbled, before a piece of scroll was produced in front of her. "Hmm."
"I made the list and checked it twice, Izakaya-san."
"Thank you," Izakaya said, taking it and smiling at her guest. "I assure you that I will have them there with the both of you within five year in that world."
"You have my gratitude. Naruto-san and I will need all the help we can get in our endeavors."
"Of course! Which is why I used my influence to add a few…additions."
"Additions?"
"The Multiverse is vast, my friendly Ootsutsuki-san. And as one of its Gods, I like to…shake things up."
[The Rewound World]
"Could you two please go and wake up your Father?"
"Okay!"
"What? Tou-chan is seriously still sleeping? He's so hopeless."
"Well, adults have a lot of responsibilities. And also… you know what today is, don't you?"
[Unknown Location]
It was pitch black for Naruto, much to his confusion. He was about to dwell on it when his vision cleared, and he saw that the floor was actually covered in a thick layer of water.
"My mindscape, or rather his," he mumbled as he sped through hand signs. "This will not do."
He slammed his hand down, turning the boring landscape into a vibrant lush-green waterscape with lakes, large trees, and cliffs. Many types of animals roamed free, with the animals representing what the Bijuu were. Beyond the horizon were land masses with sideway structures.
"Ah, just how I like it." boomed a voice above him.
"Is it his Kurama, or my Kurahime?" Naruto asked, looking up to see the Kyuubi in all their glorious wonder; with orange fur, long limbs, and sharp teeth.
"When the world was restored, so was the Kyuubi. When you and the other Naruto merged, so did we, and I became the dominant personality. The only difference is that Kurama's soul went to the afterlife for a well-deserved eternal rest. So it is me, your Kurahime," she said softly, bending down in a bow.
Naruto smiled and patted her face. "Good to see you again, my friend. At least I won't be alone. I suspect this is Izakaya-san's doing."
"In a way, yes. Someone had to be around to maintain your powers," she said with a purr. "And as much as I would like to enjoy this moment, you better wake up now."
"What?" Naruto started to say as Kurahime kicked him out of his mindscape.
"This will be an interesting ride." she mused, circling on the spot before laying down. "Now we can finally live out this Will of Fire lifestyle firsthand…"
[Konohagakure no Sato, Hi no Kuni]
"Otou-chan, wake up! Otou-chan! Breakfast is ready! Wakey, wakey!"
'What the? Is that a girl?' Naruto wondered as he felt inside now in the real world and the comfort of a…bed? No, it was too narrow to be a bed-
"You're still at it? As if you can wake Tou-chan up with all that cutety coaxing. This is how you do it, so watch and learn!"
'And that's a boy. Yep, it must be the kids.' he thought, his eyes slowly opening before hearing someone leaping up. 'Huh?'
"Get upppp, dattebasa!"
When Naruto's eyes finally snapped open in alarm, he saw a young boy with spiky yellow-blonde hair like him yet styled differently, blue eyes as well, only with two whisker-marks being the difference. He was also wearing a pink shirt and black pants.
'This feels familiar…' Naruto mused with a smile, remembering his other children as he sat up. 'So this must be his- no, my son…'
He reached out and caught the kid before he could land full on his stomach. "Not today!" he said with a laugh. "Good morning, Boruto!"
"Gah!" Boruto yelped, not expecting his plan to fail.
"Ah, Otou is awake!" cheered the other voice, with Naruto looking over to the girl staring at him in wonder.
The girl was younger than her brother and was as cute as a button; with dark-blue hair and hime-cut bangs, blue eyes, and also had two whisker-marks on each cheek. She was also wearing a bright yellow dress.
"Good morning, Himawari." Naruto greeted her warmly as he set Boruto down.
As he patted Himwari's head, he could feel that love his other self had for his children, and it gelled with his current self. Now that they merged, it was easy for Naruto to call the two children his own as well. He looked around, seeing he was in a room that appeared to be an office with a desk. Drawers and bookstores lined the room, with open bags of snacks and books littering his desk. Sweatdropping, he also saw that he was sleeping on a sofa.
"So, what's for breakfast?" Naruto asked, smiling down at his kids.
"Tou-chan. Don't you remember what today is?" Boruto asked, crossing his arms.
"What? Uh, sorry? I'm still waking up." Naruto fibbed with a boisterous chuckle.
"Geez, your inauguration is today, you know!" Boruto said and went out the door. "Breakfast is already on the table!"
"Inaugur…ation?" Naruto blinked, a cold feeling rushing through his body. "Come again?"
"Yeah! Today's the day you become Hokage!" Himawari cheered, hopping up and down.
"..."
Of all the times and places to drop him off, it had to be when Naruto was becoming Hokage!
'I~za~ka~ya~!' Naruto bellowed in his head while Kurahime was barking with laughter in his head.
Elsewhere, Izakaya was laughing her ass off, having been 100% responsible for dropping Naruto there.
He hurryingly picked up Himawari and went downstairs with her, as a rush of memories entered his mind, making him grumble. Apparently he was out late last night with the boys and got shit-faced drunk.
"Dammit, man. How can you not hold your alcohol?" he muttered.
When he entered, his breath caught his throat and he set Himawari down. He stared at the beautiful woman at the stove until she turned to look at him.
The beauty had inky-blue, bob-cut hair that reached down her neck, styled in a hime-cut bangs, pale lavender eyes, creamy porcelain skin, and large breasts that protruded out of a black dress that reached down to her knees.
"Good morning, Naruto-kun." Uzumaki, née Hyūga, Hinata greeted him warmly.
"...Good morning, Hinata-chan," he murmured, a few tears coming down his face.
Just like he knew Boruto and Himawari were his children, he knew that Hinata was his wife in this world. But back in Uzu, they were to be wed via a marriage contract between the Uzumaki and the Hyūga, but they never got the chance to be together; Hinata had been one of the casualties in the Akatsuki's attack on Konoha. But now, here in this world, she was alive and well, and looked just as beautiful as the day he'd lost her.
"Naruto, what's wrong? Are you okay?" she asked, concerned.
"What? Oh, yeah!" Naruto said, quickly wiping the tears from his eyes before the kids could notice. "I'm swell! Today's the big day, after all! Can't wait to finally put on the robe!" He grinned excitedly as he sat with the kids. "Now, let's eat!"
"Itadakimasu!" the kids chanted before digging in.
'The first day here in the new world, and I'm Hokage. And I'm sure Shiro-chan won't mind that I finally have a chance with Hinata-chan.' Naruto thought as he ate his breakfast of rice, eggs, and sausages.
"You know today's the Hokage's Inauguration or whatever. Can't you get up on your own?" Boruto asked, with Naruto's eye twitching.
He would've been up sooner if it hadn't been for a certain Goddess and her impeccable timing.
"Well, there's a lot to study when it comes to the sacred position of Uz- Hokage," Naruto quickly corrected his close slip-up. "A little cramming and hanging out with friends doesn't hurt. And even when we are out of school, we don't stop learning." he said before grumbling mentally. 'Just how late was he up?'
Boruto pouted as Naruto lectured him, while Himawari hung onto every word.
"Boruto's been looking forward to it. He insisted on waiting up for you yesterday, and didn't go to bed until you got back.
"Eh? Is that so?" Naruto asked, smiling at his son.
"K-Kaa-chan!" Boruto protested, looking embarrassed.
"I can't wait, I can't wait!" Himawari cheered.
"I'm going to pick up your formal Hokage Haori," Hinata told Naruto, giving him his cloak.
"Eh? Isn't it ready already?" Naruto asked with a frown.
As the former Uzukage, he knew how these types of events like the Kage Inauguration goes. And the fact that a Kage's Haori wasn't ready on the day of the inauguration was weird to him.
"I'm sorry, but not yet." Hinata informed him sincerely, "How do I say this…The artisan in charge of embroidering 'Nanadaime Hokage' on your Haori is a strict quality-seeking professional, and very, very meticulous about her craft."
"This is the one thing I will not delegate to anyone… This has been my responsibility for many, many years!"
"It seems she's embroidered all of the previous Hokage so far. According to her, she wants to make the perfect piece, so I was told that we'll have to wait until she's finished." Hinata explained.
"I see." Naruto said as a rush of memories suddenly formed through Naruto's head, causing him to be exasperated. 'Oh wow, she didn't make it in time for Kakashi-sensei's own inauguration. Same thing happened back in my world when I made the trip. Figures… How old is this lady anyway?'
"I'm going now to pick it up." Hinata said and went to the door. "I may not make it home in time, so I'll head straight to the venue from there. You and the kids go ahead to the venue."
"Right, got it." Naruto nodded in confirmation and turned to the kids as she left. "Finish up, you guys. We've got a busy day ahead of us."
"Yeah!/Okay!" they said.
As soon as they finished breakfast, all three went upstairs to get changed. Naruto went into the bedroom, grimacing at the full-sized bed that Hinata no doubt occupied alone last night. While it wasn't his fault, he felt irked that he found himself sleeping on the sofa in his office while Hinata was by herself.
"Not happening again," he muttered to himself, opening the drawers and finding his clothes. "Orange. We'll always share that favorite color." he mused, seeing the long-sleeved orange top with black lines on the bottom and black pants. "Now then…"
He reached to the other side, pulling out a different top and putting it on. It was the same top, but the colors were reversed. He put on some orange pants that were the same as the black pants. He also redid his bandages, seeing that it was still thankfully flesh-and-blood, but kept them on to keep up appearances.
Looking in the mirror, he ruffled his hair, feeling annoyed that his hair was cut short, and vowed to let it grow out to his preferred length.
"Yosh." he muttered and put on his formal white robe.
As he went downstairs, ready to go, he heard the sounds of the siblings squabbling about something in the kitchen, but he shook his head and strapped on his black ninja shoes. He saw that it was nearly nine o' clock, and frowned since the kids weren't coming down.
"Oi you two, it's time to go!" he yelled down the hallway. "What are how doing?"
"No, I'm taking it with me!" he held Himawari yell.
"Hima! If you bring it, I'm going to end up carrying it when you get sleepy!" Boruto yelled, with Naruto sweatdropping. "It's going to be a huge pain! Just leave it!"
"I'm bringing it!"
"Everyone's going to be there! Put yourself in my shoes, having to carry that embarrassing thing in front of the whole village! "
"It's not embarrassing, it's cute!"
"It's not cute!"
"Man, kids will be kids I guess…" Naruto muttered to himself before smiling, remembering how his kids used to be at each other's throats. But as the sounds of squabbling intensified, causing his eye to twitch. "All right, you two! You have a minute to knock it off before I come in there!"
"See?! Tou-chan is waiting for us! Please!"
"No, no, no!"
"Boruto, just let her bring whatever she wants! It's okay-!" Naruto called out, but then he heard the sound of a plushie torn apart. "Right, that happened." Naruto held out arm and focused his chakra. 'Creation of All Things!'
Yin-Yang chakra formed on his bandaged hand for a few moments until there was a puff of smoke, producing a fresh, soft plushie that looked like a chibi Kurama.
"Heh, still got it." he grinned until he felt a pulse of chakra, before hearing a rumbling and loud crash, alarming him. "What the?! Boruto?! Himawari?!"
He rushed down the hallway just in time to see Boruto rolling out of the room and smacking himself backfirst onto the wall. "Boruto?!" he called out.
"T-Tou-chan!" Boruto cried out. "Himawari…Himawari suddenly…became…gone crazy and strong and dangerous! It's bad- Eek!"
As he pressed himself against the wall, Himawari slowly walked out of the room with a finger pointing upward like a hand sign. And her rage-filled eyes were not their normal blue anymore, but pale-white eyes like her normal with veins around them…
"Byakugan?! But how?!" Naruto exclaimed in shock. 'Did she train early?!' he thought, activating his Zengan, focusing on her chakra paths. 'No, from the looks of her chakra pathways, it's her first time activating it! What the hell happened to trigger it now?!'
"Wah, here she comes!" Boruto wailed.
"Lock…on…" Himawari said eerily, now pointing her finger at her brother.
'Jyuken too?! It's like she's a different person!' Naruto noted as he charged forward, knowing that it wasn't going to end well if she hits Boruto with that.
"Sounds like someone I know…" Kurahime mused, as something similar happened to Kushina many times that got her the title Red-Hot Habanero.
Before Himawari could ruin Boruto's day, Naruto quickly flash-stepped in front of her and locked eyes with her. The tomoe in his eyes spun hypnotically, causing her to be woozy and fall asleep in the middle of her dangerous rush. He quickly scooped her up in his arms before she could hit the ground, and placed the Kurama plushie in her arms.
"Woah, how did you-?" Boruto asked in wonder.
"A little trick from Kakashi-sensei," Naruto sighed, using the memory of his other self seeing Kakashi putting the now Spring Daimyo Kazahana Koyuki to sleep. "Works every time," he said as he deactivated his Zengan. "Now let's go. We're already late as it is."
"Wait, can't we leave that here?" Boruto asked, pointing at the plushie. "I don't want to carry it if she gets bored of it."
"..."
Naruto just stared at him in amusement, causing Boruto to be filled with dread.
"Please don't bring it."
"..." Naruto now had a neutral look.
"Leave it here?"
"...No."
[Hokage Tower]
"You made it! Where have you been?" Hinata lightly scolded Naruto as he arrived with Boruto on his shoulders and Himawari in his arms. "And what happened?!"
After setting a dizzy Boruto down, Naruto leaned towards Hinata's ear and whispered. "Himawari's awakened the Byakugan after a spat with Boruto. She nearly attacked his tenketsu and everything."
"Wait, are you sure?" Hinata whispered back frantically. "That shouldn't be possible! It takes too much demanding training and Himawari never had that!"
"I know what I saw, Hinata-chan. She has the Byakugan, but it may have come with a split personality since she almost attacked Boruto with your clan's poke of doom that would make Neji proud. I stopped her and she fell asleep," Naruto explained as he handed Himawari to her and Hinata handed him his Hokage Haori.
"I'll take care of her. We'll be right here." Hinata assured him and gave him a kiss on his cheek.
Naruto stared at Hinata for a moment, taking in her features as she looked back curiously. "Tonight…we have to talk. There's something I need to tell you. It's important."
Hinata smiled. "Whatever it is, it can wait. Now go on, it's your big day. We'll be waiting for you." she said as Himawari started to wake up, looking doozy.
Naruto nodded as he quickly took off the formal white robe and switched it for his Hokage Haori, which had the kanji for Nanadaime Hokage (七大目 火影) on the back. 'Hmm, needs more orange…' he thought, tying the red cord to keep the haori together.
No matter what the world, Naruto's favorite color would always be orange.
"Naruto-niichan!" a voice called over to him. "Over here!"
Naruto looked over to see Sarotobi Konohamaru, along with Nara Shikamaru and the soon-to-be-former Hokage, Hatake Kakashi.
'Konohamaru…at least you're still here. The lazy Nara sloth and Kakashi-niisan too…' Naruto thought as flashes of his world's Akatsuki invading Konoha came to mind, but he shook those thoughts off. That was then, and this was now. "On my way!"
"Now then," Hinata suddenly activated her Byakugan and stared at Boruto, making him sweat with an eerie look that was even worse than Himawari. "What's this about a fight between you two?"
"Ah…well…" Boruto sweated as his mother loomed over him.
A while later, almost the whole village was gathered in front of the Hokage Tower for this joyous occasion. Everyone of all ages were dressed in white robes, and fireworks going on above.
"Now then, we will now begin the Nanadaime Hokage's Inauguration! This ceremony shall be presided by I, the Rokudaime Hokage, Hatake Kakashi; and I would like to thank all of you for your attendance." Kakashi declared to the crowd below before taking a quick glance at the soon-to-be Hokage, who nodded. "And now, I hand the hat and this stage to this one, the man of the hour who will succeed me and be your Nanadaime Hokage… The hero of the ninja world who guided us after the Fourth Shinobi World War. I present to you, Uzumaki Naruto!"
With his haori flapping in the wind, Naruto stepped to the forefront, smiling down at the people below. He spotted some familiar faces like Iruka, Sakura, Kiba, Shino, Ino, Choji, Rock Lee, Tenten, and kids that look like their children in the front. Keeping his smile, he waved at everyone cheerfully.
"Thank you, thank you, dattebayo!" he said loudly while sweatdropping. 'I'm going to have to keep up this act as my other self before getting into the groove. Last thing I need is people questioning my unusual demeanor…'
[Uzumaki residence]
After his grand introduction as the Nanadaime Hokage and gaining the hat, Naruto gave a grand speech, keeping it short, sweet, and in character to the original Naruto with much difficulty. He then took a grand tour around the village in the form of a parade, taking in the sights, visiting old haunts like the Ichiraku Ramen shop, and shaking hands with various VIPs. To Naruto, the village was even more expanded than in his old world, and looked to be more like a city than a village with all the advancement in technology.
Followed by that, Naruto went out on a night on the town with the boys…again. While he wasn't surprised to be hanging out with Shikamaru, Kiba, Shino, Choji, and Rock Lee, he was baffled to see Sai, a former member of ROOT. If Naruto hadn't fused with his other self, he would've been on edge, but thanks to it, he felt at ease. He sweatdropped at the memory of having to deal with ROOT spying on Uzushio back in the day. The original's memories were very helpful in getting to know the boys, whom some had significant others. He was a tad disappointed that Uchiha Sasuke was nowhere to be seen, but from the memories, it was understandable.
Poor Sakura.
After having fun with the boys, Naruto arrived back at the Uzumaki residence. His eyebrow twitched at the simple-looking two-story house in the village now that he had a moment to himself to dwell on it. It was in a populated area in a neighborhood and too far from the Hokage Mansion. It was much too modest (and dangerous) for his family to live. And if a certain thing were to happen, maybe twice with no protection, his family was going to need a bigger house…at least as big as a compound.
'Yeah, this won't do. I'll have to look around to find an unused plot of land to create a minor version of the Uzumaki compound. Preferably near the Hokage Mansion.' he thought as he went to the door. 'I also need to make my way to this world's Uzushiogakure. The fact that my other self doesn't have any memories of the place is alarming, among other things. Yeah, that might be the excuse I need to act my normal self, not that it's an extremely far cry from my other self's personality.'
He opened the door. "I'm home!" he announced and saw Hinata at the front door, putting a finger to her lips. "Hinata-chan?"
"Shh, the children are asleep," she said, still wearing her formal cloak over her black dress. "They wore themselves out from playing hide-and-seek."
Naruto raised an eyebrow. "Sounds unfair, since Himawari has the Byakugan now." he mused as he took his shoes off.
"Yes, I confirmed it today. Boruto was screaming his head off while Himawari was slowly stalking him." Hinata said dryly as they headed upstairs. "I saw she had a new plushie. Did you give that to her?"
Naruto chuckled. "Well she and Boruto ripped it apart when Boruto was trying to take the last one away from her, so I got her a new one. Nice to see Himwari inherit my mother's infamous temper."
They opened the door slightly, seeing Boruto and Himawari sound asleep; with Himawari hugging her new Kurama plushie while Boruto looked worn out. They left and went to their bedroom, with Naruto closing the door behind him and locking it.
"So, what did you want to talk about?" Hinata asked as she sat on the bed.
Naruto continued standing where he was, taking in her appearance. It still didn't feel real that she was alive and well, even if it was another Hinata. It was why he had to tell her about himself instead of hiding it. She deserved to know, even if it would blow up in his face.
"There's a lot to talk about, and it's not about me being Hokage. I…" he rubbed the back of his head. "I don't know where to start, and I'm not sure if you'll believe it…"
"This is about the strange chakra you were enveloped in when I checked on you last night, isn't it?" Hinata asked, confusing Naruto. "I remember your chakra signature well…it changed overnight. But despite that it now feels different, it still feels the same at once."
"Yeah, I can see how you could feel that," Naruto said quietly, "Why wait until tonight to tell me?"
"Because I wanted to believe that nothing happened to you, that you were still the same. But…you wore a completely color-swapped outfit and…you were looking around Konoha as if it was your first time here." Hinata noted nervously. "So I must ask…are you Naruto?"
Naruto grimaced before undoing the bandages on his right arm. As they fell, Hinata gasped at seeing skin and activated her Byakugan, seeing that the right arm was all natural instead of artificial. "Hinata-chan, what do you know of the Multiverse?" he asked.
"What?" Hinata looked confused. "I…only what I know in those movies and video games. Like if there's multiple realities, then does that mean there's multiple Naruto-kuns?" she said before pausing, the possible implications setting in.
"...Yes, that's what the Multiverse means." Naruto sighed and looked straight in Hinata's eyes, his eyes morphing into the Zengan. "Here, this will make it easier."
Before Hinata could react, her mind was pulled into Naruto's mindscape.
…
Hinata found herself in a dark place with Naruto by her side. "What is this?" she asked, fearing that she was in Tsukuyomi, but relaxed when she saw that the dark cleared to reveal a waterscape area.
"My mindscape." Naruto said and waved his hand, conjuring screens that showed various and random parts of his life. "And these are my memories…"
"This is…" Hinata breathed as she took in every screen. "You're…"
It was then that she realized that while Naruto's appearance was the same, there were key differences. Aside from his arm, his hair was as long as his father's, and he was a tad bit taller. And he was still wearing a ninja headband, albeit it had Uzu's symbol.
"My name is Uzumaki Naruto, but…I'm not your Naruto. In my world, I'm from Uzushiogakure, where my parents raised me and I became Uzukage. I enjoyed a healthy rein up to my passing, that is until I was hired by a Goddess of the Multiverse to save this world, which will otherwise be destroyed by the Ootsutsuki clan."
"What…I…that can't be," Hinata whispered in horror as the scenes passed her by, feeling lightheaded. She was falling until Naruto caught and held onto her. "It just can't be! We're still alive!"
"Yes, because Izakaya-san, the Goddess, used her boon to erase the damage and turn back time to this point. I would've loved it if it were much sooner, but that's just me. When she gave me the mission, she gave me a test that I considered pointless."
"Pointless? What do you mean?" Hinata asked, feeling a sense of dread.
"The test was one I shared with your Naruto, who was desperate to defeat me, correct his mistakes, and set things right." Naruto revealed, making Hinata stare at him in shock. "But I offered a third option that would be mutually beneficial for all of us, and that was for the both of us to merge into one, and that's what we did. I, the Uzu Naruto, am the dominant personality, while your Naruto is a part of my soul." As he spoke, the small 'battle' played out as he put his hand over his heart. "I feel his love for you, Boruto, Himawari, his friends, his teachers, and all of Konoha; and it has influenced me. So while I'm not the Naruto you knew growing up, rest assured I'm still the same Naruto you know and love."
After saying this, the memory of Konoha Naruto's last messages played. "Naruto, honor one last request since we'll be stuck together. My…our family. Tell them I'm sorry, and take care of them. And…Please, don't make my mistakes, and protect Konoha."
"Naruto-kun…" Hinata murmured before seeing her Naruto merge with the Naruto holding her now.
"I know, this all seems crazy, but-"
"Um, Naruto-kun, I helped you fight Toneri on the moon." Hinata interjected with a sweat drop.
"Yes, you did but- wait a minute," Naruto blinked at the out-of-nowhere interruption. "Your Naruto did-"
"You are him, and he is you now. So you're still my Naruto-kun." Hinata said as if it were obvious.
"...You're taking this pretty well, ya know." Naruto noted dryly.
"Well, all of it seems so unbelievable, and it still feels surreal. You could have kept this hidden, lied to me, used your eyes to fool me, but you didn't and told your story. It was because of that…that I decided to believe in you, Naruto-kun. You may be from a different world, but my Naruto-kun was a part of you, so you have no reason to lie." Hinata answered, intertwining her hands in his.
"I would never fool or lie to you, Hinata-chan. Not to you," Naruto admitted, looking relieved while trying to hold back tears. "Never to you."
Hinata sensed something was wrong. "Did something happen…between you and my other self?"
"...Yes. You and I were to be wed via a marriage contract our clans had written up after you lost your role as the Hyuga Heiress. Your attraction to me was the same as here, but…" Naruto swallowed. "Because Uzushio was well fortified, the Akatsuki attacked Konoha to draw me out since I had Kurama. By the time we got there, defeated Pain, and routed the Akatsuki, it was too late. When I found you, it was too late to save you. We only had a few moments…before you passed on…"
Hinata gasped and shook her head. "I'm here now!" she quickly declared, wrapping him in a hug, feeling teardrops on her neck. "I'll be your second chance! I'm sure my Naruto would've wanted the same."
They stayed like this as they faded out of Naruto's mindscape.
Kurahime was watching the whole thing and uttered, "How touching," before going back to her nap.
…
They found themselves hugging in the real world before pulling apart, staring into each other's eyes. Both of them were once unfamiliar to each other, but still and now familiar. For Naruto, Hinata's pale lavender eyes showed the same potential and greatness to surpass her limits that made her attractive and a badass kunoichi. For Hinata, it was Naruto's stormy yet gentle blue eyes, which showed the same resolve and will to protect those he held dear that made her gravitate to him.
Before they knew it, they moved closer in kissing distance, their lips almost touching-
"This is the way."
Naruto and Hinata yelped before looking over to see the speaker close to them. While Hinata looked alarmed at the newcomer, Naruto stared in shock as the latter hugged him.
"Shiro-chan?!"
"It's wonderful to see you again, my husband."
Uzumaki, née Ootsutsuki, Shiro smiled at the pair of them. She was 5'4" tall, had long snow-white hair draped down to her chest with a small braid in the back. Her eyes were pale pink, had fair skin unlike most Ootsutsuki, and a slim figure with a sizable bust. She wore a sleeveless, long ribbed dress that reached down and covered her feet; over a shoulder-less dress with extremely long sleeves with black cords on her arms.
"Ah, it's good to see you too, Hinata-san!" she added cheerfully.
"Um, hi?" Hinata squeaked, confused at what's going on. "Naruto-kun, she called you…her husband…"
"Yeah, she was my Head Wife back in our world." Naruto admitted.
"Uzumaki Shiro, formerly of the Ootsutsuki clan, at your service!" Shiro introduced herself before gaining a cat-like smile. "Ey!"
Naruto quickly activated the Sound Barrier Jutsu in room, just as Hinata cried out in shock as Shiro groped her boobs through her dress.
"Oh, I missed this!" she cooed as she kneaded them. "I used to do this to your counterpart, you know. She was growing a lot too!"
"S-Shiro-san, no~" Hinata whined, her face burning red.
"Oi, ease up on her, Shiro-chan!" Naruto scolded her, lifting his first wife by her waist and dragged her away from the pawing hands. "She's not used to your perverted ways!"
"But those babies are bursting with bountiful fruit! How could I not feel her up?"
Naruto sweatdropped as Hinata was now swirly-eyed with embarrassment, with Shiro giggling with victory.
"Oh, she's going to be so much fun!"
"Oi, Shiro-chan. We have a job to do, you know." Naruto lightly scolded her as he helped Hinata up. "Izakaya-san no doubt informed you, right?"
"She did after plucking me from our world after I passed on after you. I agreed to help after a few assurances." she admits with a mischievous smile hiding behind her sleeve.
"Like what?"
"C'mon, Naruto-san! It's a new world we're in! So~" she winked. "You know~"
"...Can we not?" Naruto replied flatly.
"No, we cannot not. Let's do it!"
"What are you talking about?" Hinata asked nervously, completely out of the loop.
"Why, my Pleasure Garden Paradise Plan, of course! With you and I in charge!" Shiro declared, with Hinata's blush deepening while looking mortified. "It's a harem plan that was a major success back in our world!"
Naruto chuckled and shrugged. "Well, polygamy isn't outlawed here, and the Uzumaki clan is scattered in the wind for some strange reason. Sure there's a few that we can bring in from the other me's memories, but only if Hinata-chan's okay with it."
"Eh? Me?" a white-eyed Hinata sputtered, "Well…"
"No pressure. I swear to you that I will be your loving husband, but I can't deny Shiro-chan now that she's here, since she is my wife as well." Naruto said and caressed her cheek.
"Sharing Naruto-kun…well…maybe?" Hinata swallowed and looked at Shiro, so was awfully close. "Shiro-san?"
"Maybe, huh? How about some incentive?" Shiro grinned as she cupped Hinata's cheeks.
Before Hinata could react, Shiro started to outright kiss her. Naruto blinked at this unexpected development as the two fell onto the bed, but didn't intervene as they continued snogging. Hinata was gasping and breaking the kiss, but Shiro would continue the attack, slipping her tongue into her mouth.
'Seems like I'm not the only one happy to see Hinata-chan alive. And speaking of Hinata-chan,' he looked over Shiro's frame to see Hinata making no attempts to stop her, 'Seems she's enjoying it too.'
After what seemed like a while, Shiro finally let up and wiped her mouth, straddling Hinata who was breathing heavily with drool flowing down the sides of her mouth.
"Thank you for the meal." Shiro mumbled and gave a thumbs-up to Naruto. "A perfect 10!"
"Geez, Shiro-chan." Naruto said and climbed onto the bed. "Now I can't leave her like this."
"Ah, Naruto-kun, Shiro-chan!" Hinata moaned out loud, chest heaving ups and down, her eyes glazed over with lust. "This is…too soon!"
"But you don't hate it, do you Hinata-chan?" Naruto whispered as he lifted the hem of her skirt to her waist. "Oh, black panties? How bold." he mused as Shiro rubbed a finger on the cloth.
"And she's wet!" Shiro added with a giggle as Hinata cooed.
"Please, be gentle, Naruto-kun…" she whined.
Her dress was now pulled up to her breasts, showing her upboobs.
"Of course I will. I have all night to show you how much I love you." Naruto said and pressed her lips against hers. 'This time, I won't let you go, Hinata-chan!'
Outside the window, a certain Rabbit Goddess was watching through the window with amusement.
"As much as I would like to join in, I have a meeting with myself to attend to." she said before shooting upward towards the moon.
To be continued…

This was originally going to be a Naruto Gamer in Boruto where Naruto was reincarnated into an AU version of Boruto's timeline.
Ootsutsuki Shiro is an OC used with permission from aftibi from DeviantArt. Shiro will start appearing in my other stories in the future.
I thought Izakaya was a random name I came up with, but it ended up meaning a type of informal Japanese bar that serves alcoholic drinks and snacks.
I'm currently binge-watching Boruto to see how Naruto will be involved in those events. As of this release, I'm up to episode 18.

"Oh my!" Shiro gasped, her hands on her mouth.
Naruto had just taken off his pants and underwear, freeing his hardened member. Only thing is that there were two of them attached to his crotch and pointed dangerously at Hinata.
"Looks like the merger is a bit unstable in this area." Naruto chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. "I swear this isn't my Shadow Clone Cock…"
As for Hinata, she drooled as she took one long look at the rods that should soon penetrate her holes. Before she could get a word out, she fainted backfirst on the bed, out cold.
"You know, maybe you're onto something with this Harem Plan."
"I know, right? So many kunoichi to conquer, so little time."
That night, a torrent of hearts floated up from the Uzumaki residence.
