Heaven, God's Throne Room
Micheal was sitting at the foot of the throne as usual. He was not worthy to sit on the throne of Heaven, that right belonged to his father and his father alone. Micheal was the most powerful ArchAngel and it was his job to protect and serve the King of Heaven. Currently he was praying to God. It has been years since God ascended to the highest sanctum of Heaven where no one can reach him. In his absence the remaining Archangels kept Heaven running by acting as a council and they voted on whatever needed to be done.
He was praying to his father because he was unsure of the future. Currently Sera Seraphim was gathering support for her bigoted beliefs and some angels were being swayed. Luckily, the vast majority of mortal souls were neutral in this stance but it seemed like everyday there was a larger line being drawn in the sand. This issue was dividing Heaven and turning the angels against one another. While he would always trust his father and his plans there was doubt forming. What if he wasn't strong enough to keep order? It seemed like a civil war was drawing closer and closer everyday and that was the last thing they needed. It had been millennia since Sameal's rebellion but that memory was still burned in his mind, like it had happened yesterday.
He still regretted what happened to his brother. He never noticed how strong his pride was becoming…or his anger. He always thought, maybe if he did notice it he could have talked to him, he could have prevented the war. Maybe he could have prevented his fall. He cleared his mind and prayed "Father, I don't know what to do. I want to believe in my neice, I want to believe that souls truly can repent and escape the infernal blaze. Sera is gathering support and I am worried that all of this anger and hatred will come to violence eventually. The last thing I want to do is harm my kin but I don't see any other option. I pray for your wisdom and guidance, please show me the path forward. I miss you father, I pray for your return. Amen."
Micheal opened his eyes and sighed. He knew that this was merely the calm before the storm. "Please come back to us father, we need you now more than ever" with that last wish he flew off towards the Archangels council room.
Sera's Chambers
Currently Sera was contemplating everything. She had the support of several virtues and many royal angels. If she decided to continue this ridiculous game with Emily her support could change. She needed to act soon and wipe out those filthy demons before any could poison her perfect afterlife. She picked up a communicator and dialed Dhalia's personal line. After several seconds Dhalia picked up the line "Yes ma,am, how can I be of assistance?" Sera smirked to herself, this angel was a good one to keep around. She was loyal and followed any orders without question.
"It is time we start gathering the troops, I will not wait until that bitch of a princess can stand against us. If she is able to defend against the exorcist's then she may embolden others and I will not have those filthy demons believing they are our equals. Are you sure you can handle this with discretion?" Sera waited for her loyal soldiers' answer with baited breath. Dahlia finally responded with a determination filled "Yes ma,am, leave it to me. By tomorrow night at midnight I will send a squad of 100 soldiers to engage the enemy. With the training we have been doing we will crush all of those pathetic demons and restore order." Sera smiled, she knew she could count on this angel.
The day after tomorrow will bring this ridiculous game to an end. Those demons will be in shambles and order will once again flow. It will make sure those demons stay afraid, their failure will be cemented in their minds so deep that they will never dare to challenge the angels ever again. "Good Dhalia, after it is done report back to me" she clicked off the communicator and slowly made her way to her bedroom. She laid down feeling content, slowly she closed her eyes and dreamed of her perfect world. A world free of chaos.
Review: I ask that all reviews be constructive criticism with suggestions on how to improve my story and writing overall. If you have nothing constructive or nice to say please do not leave a review at all. Don't like the story, don't read it. I know that many people loved the characters created by Vivienne "VivziePop" Medrano exactly as they were but I wanted to write a story and put my own little twist on it. I also saw a disturbing lack of substantial Adam/Lute stories so I wanted to try and rectify that. Best wishes all and hope you enjoy :)
