Link Teleportation: Two people are linked for the day. They will be able to teleport to each other!
"AAAAAHH!"
Thump!
"Ow!"
"S-Sorry! I'm sorry!"
Aisha apologized multiple times while she sat and looked at what she fell into. It was Raven, who was currently chilling in his bed. "It's fine. How did you get here?" Raven asked without moving away from his position, still lying down on the bed and facing Aisha, who was currently sitting on top of his body and rubbing her head. His face flushed red as he threw his pillow in front of Aisha's body.
"I usually teleport to get to the closet faster…" Aisha whimpered, finally realizing what the situation was. Since she was supposed to teleport to the closet from the bathroom, she was still naked with her towel covering her body. And the extra pillow, of course.
"Raven, it's breakfast time already. Are you off today–"
Click!
Ciel opened the door to check on Raven, who usually went out early for work. Seeing him on the bed and Aisha being naked on top of him, he decided to close the door again. Why did the cliche scene happen right in front of his eyes, when it's usually intended for content? "Just come down when you're hungry!"
"Wait! I can explain!" Aisha shouted with a flustered face. Her head felt hot in embarrassment as she moved away from Raven. "I-I can't come out like this!"
"Wait here. I'll ask Nisha for help," Raven went out as quickly as possible right after Aisha moved away. What was that all about? His usual calm manner was disturbed by the image of suddenly naked Aisha in front of him.
But as he walked downstairs and saw the gang, he gained back his focus. He called Nisha to the backyard and told her what had happened really quietly. It would be really upsetting if Ciel actually told them what he had seen, but hopefully it didn't happen. "I think you guys used a teleportation potion or some sort. Aisha accidentally teleported to me. Could you pick up her clothes and give it to her upstairs in my room?"
Nisha was dumbfounded the first she heard about it. The gang had been trying to find out what the potion did for the day, but none of them managed to do anything. "I got it. Let's discuss it after breakfast," Nisha nodded her head as she walked into the girl's bedroom.
Aisha and Raven were explaining about the teleportation effect without mentioning what had happened, but with their obvious flustered face, the gang could guess what actually happened. "Teleportation? But why did you teleport to Raven, out of all people?" Eve asked.
"That's what I wanna know," Aisha shrugged, casually teleported herself to front of Raven's place in a blink of an eye. "I can't teleport anywhere else."
"Are we linked with a specific person?" Add thought about it while he looked at Aisha trying to teleport somewhere else. No matter what method she used, she would always end up in Raven's place. "Then let me try–"
Add disappeared.
Thump!
There was a loud sound upstairs, as if something just fell.
"M-My chips…"
"I'll get you a new one."
The one upstairs was Noah because he needed a new bag of chips for snack.
"Oh, are we linked with someone for the day?" Rena asked with sparkly eyes. "I wanna do it! How do I teleport?"
"I guess it's hard when you don't understand the concept of teleporting," Lu sighed, trying to create a simple explanation of teleportation.
"Just imagine it. Isn't this like cartoons or movies?" Elsword asked with a smile and stood up proudly. "Teleport–"
Elsword disappeared.
And this time, there was nobody else on the second floor. "He's at the cafe, isn't he?" Elesis sighed heavily, wondering what would happen in the cafe right now. He looked at everyone again, realizing one big problem. "We're 15 people, no? Who's not getting linked?"
"I would try, but I'm afraid of getting teleported into the cafe," Lu forced herself to laugh, looking at Ciel next to her. She teleported into Ciel's arms easily. "We're in a contract. We should be counted as one. Hm… Actually, I can always teleport back here, if that's the case," she said as she teleported somewhere else that wasn't Ciel.
Elesis' eyes widened as she caught Lu with both her arms before she fell. This would be the proof that the three of them were linked.
"Well, if you're confident you can land without hurting the customers in the cafe, do it," Rose smiled as she imagined herself moving into another place.
Blink!
She teleported to Eve's place.
Nisha sighed as she stood up. She grabbed her mirror tightly in her hands, making sure that it would be brought with her. "Then I'll–"
Nisha disappeared.
"Elsword and Nisha are linked with someone at the cafe. Aisha with Raven, Add with Noah, Lu and Ciel with Elesis, Eve and Rose…" Rena counted the gang with her fingers. She smiled slightly, feeling a bit disappointed. "Then I'm linked with one of those three. I won't try it now!"
Here is the list of the linked people for the day!
Elsword - Ain
Aisha - Raven
Rena - Ara
Eve - Rose
Chung - Nisha
Elesis - Lu/Ciel
Add - Noah
"HELP!"
Ain gracefully caught Elsword from the ceiling of the cafe while keeping the customer's orders safe in the tray. It was quite a show, people clapped for his 'performance'. He quickly served the customer before dragging Elsword to the cashier. "So why are you suddenly here?" Ain asked.
"We're linked for teleportation. It's a weird potion, I know," Elsword explained.
Chung approached them and showed the empty table in the cafe. "Welcome, master. Order something to fund us, please?" Chung asked with a smile and made a heart shape with his hands.
Elswors burst into laughter. Somehow Chung's crossdress was still funny to him, even though he saw it multiple times already. "Fine. Serve me well, then!"
Chung led Elsword to his seat and gave him the menu. "Stay here. I need the waiter's recommendation," Elsword said to prevent Chung from moving away.
"Of course. What would you like at the moment?" Chung asked back and waited for Elsword to decide what kind of food or drink he wanted.
The spot around Chung became dark, as if something was on top of him. He looked up, seeing Nisha carefully landed on the ground without hurting anybody. "Welcome, master," Chung smiled and greeted the new customer.
"Ah, we're linked today. I want chamomile tea," Nisha said as she sat on the opposite side of Elsword.
After getting all the orders, Chung left Elsword and Nisha on the table. "Great, you're not with Eve for once"
"Hm… Maybe it's time for me to get a phone," Elsword pouted and looked out the window. It certainly felt lonely when Eve wasn't around, even though he spent most of his time with her ever since they're dating.
"Didn't you used to crossdress? Why don't you try wearing the maid outfit?" Nisha asked in curiosity. Laby showed interest in Elsword's crossdressing. It's been a while. Laby missed it when he was just walking around like a kid.
"Yeah, but… my hormones said I had to grow up! I would wear one for fun, though," Elsword said, looking at Chung and Ara in their maid uniform. Even if he had a manlier body now, he still wanted to try on those cute dresses. It's fun, but he probably wouldn't be able to deceive people anymore.
Nisha looked at a glimpse of sadness in Elsword's face. Sure, he had Eve and she's basically everything to him, but the part where he used to crossdress for fun didn't change. "Then you should offer yourself to work when the cafe is crowded. They'd appreciate it," Nisha suggested.
Elsword liked the idea until he realized something was off. He was a bit late, though. "Who told you I used to crossdress? I started doing it on the first potion day. You were already out for your stuff!"
"Not my problem that you showed up in front of Chung. I got to see that too," Nisha said, since Elsword's crossdress moments were based on Chung's memories.
"Man… Please tell me you didn't get to hear his inner thoughts," Elsword sighed in embarrassment. As much as he liked crossdressing, he didn't want to know if he was ever judged for it. He probably was judged multiple times anyway.
Nisha smiled with confidence. "Fortunately, I did. I have a good memory!"
Ring!
"Welcome back, master!" Ara smiled at her familiar guest, Add. She led him to the table where Elsword and Nisha were sitting, gave him the menu and waited for his order.
"Huh, that's rare. Why are you here?" Elsword asked, feeling like something was odd. Add and Rose were usually together, but Add had been going out alone for the last 2 days.
Add glanced at Elsword. "I'm gonna help Noah with something. Don't worry about it."
A certain textile shop in the town was crowded. It had one of the best textiles in Elrios for having a lot of variations and colors that most people need, for whatever event or party they would attend in the future. The best part was it's always stocked, so it will never run out unless someone was magically hoarding a ton of them.
"I heard about it. Prophetess made a bunny outfit for Chung, correct?" Ciel asked as he looked around the textile, touching them and visualizing a dress in his mind.
"I-I'm not using that! I really want to, but I shouldn't do it…" Rena whimpered, trying her best to hold back herself from her inner fantasy. She didn't know what Prophetess said to make Chung agree, and she didn't want to know. It would be better to forget it ever happened.
But Ciel also had his own inner fantasy. "Lu, you should join this one. I'm sure Chung will come along if you're in," Ciel said to convince Lu. It would be one of his greatest wishes to see Lu wearing a cute outfit.
"Sure, I don't mind. What character am I gonna be?" Lu agreed without a second thought. It sounded fun anyway.
"Wait, let's save the bunny outfit. I got a better idea!" Elesis shouted in excitement. There were two characters that crossed her mind when Lu said she'd join the cosplay. "Let's make a shrine maiden outfit and a witch outfit."
"Wait, can you at least tell me the character's names? Let me look it up on the internet," Lu asked, since she didn't know any fictional characters.
"I'll be a character called Sakaya, a maid with daggers. Rena will be Meyling, a martial artist," Elesis said while waiting for Lu to search the first two characters on her phone. "Then you'll be Mirisa, a powerful magician. Chung will be Raimu, a shrine maiden."
Lu looked at the character's designs. They looked simple, but it had so many fanarts. She glared at Ciel, who instantly looked away from her. "Alright! Let's get the soft lenses too!"
A huge amount of patients were healed from a certain clinic today. Noah saw his limbs getting crystallized the more he used his ability, but it was always worth it to see the patients smile in return. It wouldn't be as worth as getting food, though.
He called in the next patient number to the room, but the person that came was physically healthy. A brown haired woman with green eyes, looking at Noah with a straight face. She casually sat on the patient's seat, like how a patient should be. "Do you need a check-up first?" Noah asked as he tilted his head. Since the woman was a patient, Noah got to see her data.
Name: Jessica Sarah
Jessica shook her head. "No. Where's your friend?"
Noah poked the one Dynamo he carried in his pocket. After a few minutes, Add teleported while hugging Ain to drag the angel along. "T-Thank you! Guys, this is Jessica," Noah introduced the 'patient' to his friends. "Jessica, this is Ain, the angel I was talking about."
"I don't accept fake names. Spill the truth," Ain said, staring at startled 'Jessica'.
'Jessica' sighed heavily, looking back at Ain. "Real angel, huh? My name is Lithia."
Noah explained the situation to Ain; about how he said he had a friend who had wandered into Henir realm and came back alive.
"And how would you believe me? I don't have evidence," Ain said to Lithia. He found it weird that he got to share his story with a stranger. He only told Noah because the kid knew something about Henir.
"Blind trust," Lithia replied with a shrug. "Tell me. I'll be the judge whether I should believe you or not."
"Let's get out first. The patients need the doctor," Ain said as he got out of the room like he was always there in the first place. With an awkward silence, Lithia and Add also walked out of the room while being stared by confused patients.
Two people were sitting in the living room, enjoying their tea time while watching a movie through a hologram screen from one of Eve's drones. "So this is a movie platform called Elflix? I didn't know this existed," Rose said with an amazed impression of current technology. She may have been spending too much time with Add, she lost contact with the outside world, while Add was somehow able to keep up with the latest trend.
"It's just for spending free time. We're with our own boyfriend too much," Eve sighed as she browsed for the next movie. She wasn't bored with Elsword, but whenever he wasn't around, she wasn't sure what to do. Everything seemed basic.
Rose leaned her back on the sofa, looking at all the movie posters that seemed interesting. "Maybe we should do something else? Not sure what we can do with this link. We can split up but once we teleport, there's nothing else to do anymore."
"Well…" Eve faced Rose, who seemed to be confused but excited for another movie. "How curious are you with what Chung actually read?"
Rose didn't give a reply, but she faced Eve with a serious look. Eve got up from her seat, flying up to the second floor and called Rose to teleport. Now they're standing in front of a normal looking bookshelf. Eve picked up a random book and read the title. "'Embarrassing Moments in Elrianode and How to Avoid Them'...?" She questioned what she just read and opened the book. It was filled with unfortunate moments with its explanations.
Rose picked up the book on the top left, titled 'The House in Mirage'. She read the synopsis:
"You're awake in an unfamiliar bedroom with a maid next to you. You have no recollection of anything, not even your own name. The maid took you on a journey in the mansion through tragedies in the past, to see it with your own eyes. But will you care, when these tragedies hadn't even happened to you?"
"This sounds cool, actually. Is there a movie adaptation for it?" Rose asked as she showed the book cover to Eve.
Eve stayed silent as she read the title and the author. There was something that Nisha mentioned weeks ago regarding Chung's books.
"I don't know if you guys noticed, but he's been reading a book about a mystery of a plagued village lately. It has around 17 volumes. If you can even distract him from that, then maybe you could get him. Good luck."
Eve checked the bookshelf to find 17 books that looked alike. It was placed on the second row; a dark red book. She picked up one of them and checked the author's name.
Joy Felix
"Oh, same author! So do they have movie adaptations?" Rose asked in excitement. She checked the other books to find the same author. "How many books did they write? Damn, we only found 2 books but look at all those series! This is awesome."
"The author is a mystery. People want movie adaptations, but nobody knows who Joy Felix is in person… if they're even a person," Eve explained based on her knowledge. Sometimes Elsword and her wanted to find new kinds of movies and had to search through book adaptations. "Also the author never mentioned this was fully fictional."
"Aside from random books, Chung reads some good stuff here. I'm not disappointed," Rose said as she kept the book in her hand. "Why are you surprised? Is there something here?"
Eve looked at the book in her hand, comparing it with one of her memories and data from her counterparts. "Bluhen reads books as a hobby. He said there weren't any new releases here, but he read other books."
"Yeah, they said he likes reading–" Rose's eyes widened in surprise as she realized the major problem with the book. "Wait, we have the same book title and author…?"
"I should've processed this information more. I could've asked Bluhen the real author's name, then maybe we could go somewhere from that," Eve sighed in disappointment and put the book back on its shelf.
Rose raised her one eyebrow in confusion on Eve's remark. "Is the author's name that important, Eve? Aren't we just checking Chung's books?"
"Yes, but don't you find it odd? We all have different hobbies, but Joy Felix was able to publish the exact same book on at least 2 timelines?" Eve asked back.
Rose smacked Eve's head with the book in her hand. "Did Bluhen ever tell you what he read? I'm interested in this one, so I'm going to read it and we can compare the story and see if it's actually the same!"
