25 minutes later, after another energy-draining walk, the group finally made it down to the bottom of the statue.

"Ugh... Next time, Manny and I are flying," Gypsy said, panting slightly.

"I second that," Manny agreed, catching his breath.

"I think we all underestimated how many stairs there were," Angela added, wiping some sweat from her forehead.

"Well, at least we got a great workout," David quipped, earning a chuckle from the group.

"Yeah, but now we need a break before we head to the bowling alley," Rosie said.

"Agreed," Mike nodded. "How about we find a nice spot to sit and relax for a bit?"

They all found a nearby bench and took a seat, enjoying the brief respite before heading off to their next adventure.

"Maybe next time, Francis, you'll think twice about being impatient," Slim said, panting with frustration.

The ladybug rolled his eyes but nodded in agreement. "Yeah, yeah. I'll remember that."

As the group caught their breath, Angela looked around and smiled. "Well, despite the climb, it's still pretty amazing to be here."

"Absolutely," Mike agreed. "This view was worth it."

Everyone nodded in agreement, taking a few more minutes to relax and enjoy the moment before heading to their next destination.

"So, how was the pool for you, Gypsy?" Angela asked, curious about Gypsy's experience.

The moth chuckled softly as she reminisced about their time at the pool. "Oh, it was lovely, Angela. Just the right amount of relaxation and fun. Manny and I enjoyed dipping our feet in the water while chatting with Slim and Francis. It was quite refreshing after a long day."

"Indeed," her husband added.

"Tuck and Roll seemed to be having the most fun out of all of us," Mike remarked with a smile. "Those two were like little whirlwinds in the water."

Angela nodded in agreement. "They were. It was great seeing everyone unwind and just enjoy the moment."

After about 19 minutes had passed, everyone gathered at the base of the Statue of Liberty, still catching their breath from the climb.

"Alright, let's take another selfie," Lily said as she pulled out her cell phone. "We need to document this adventure properly."

Everyone huddled together, making sure Tuck and Roll were visible on Mike and Angela's shoulders.

"Say 'Liberty!'" Lily called out as she snapped the photo.

"Liberty!" they all chorused, smiling for the camera.

"That turned out great," David said, peeking over Lily's shoulder to look at the photo. "One for the memory books."

"Alright. Break's over," Mike declared, stretching his arms.

"Bowling time!" Angela added with enthusiasm.

The group exchanged excited glances and began making their way toward their cars, eager for their next adventure.

As the Highlander and Mustang were now on the move, inside the Highlander, Gypsy turned to Mike and Angela.

"So, what's the Statue of Liberty about?" she asked curiously.

Angela glanced back at Gypsy with a smile. "The Statue of Liberty is a symbol of freedom and democracy. It was a gift from France to the United States back in 1886."

Mike nodded. "It's one of the most iconic landmarks in the country. A lot of people see it as a welcoming symbol for immigrants coming to America."

"That's pretty cool," Rosie remarked thoughtfully. "I can see why it's so important."

"Yeah, it's got a lot of history," Mike added. "And climbing up those stairs? That's a workout I wasn't expecting today!"

Angela laughed. "No kidding. But it was worth it for the view and the experience."

"Definitely," Mike agreed. "So, everyone ready for some bowling?"

"Absolutely!" Gypsy replied with enthusiasm. "I'm curious to see how we all do."

As they continued driving, the group in the Highlander chatted about their favorite parts of the day so far, excited for the next adventure that awaited them.

Meanwhile, in the Mustang, Francis's curiosity sparked a question. "So, what's this 'bowling' thing you guys mentioned?" he asked Lily and David.

David chuckled, glancing over at Francis in the rearview mirror. "Bowling is a game where you roll a heavy ball down a long, narrow lane to knock over pins at the other end."

Lily nodded in agreement. "It's a lot of fun! You aim for the pins and try to knock down as many as you can in each turn."

Francis scratched his head, trying to imagine it. "Sounds... interesting. I'm game to give it a try!"

"Great!" David said with a smile. "You'll get the hang of it pretty quickly once we're there."

As they drove on, Lily and David explained more about the game of bowling, sharing anecdotes and memories of their own bowling experiences. Francis listened intently, looking forward to trying something new with his friends.

"I'll probably sit this one out with Dim," Rosie said with a smile.

"I second that," Heimlich chimed in, nodding in agreement.

"That goes for Tuck and Roll, too," Angela added with a grin, as she and Mike carefully set the two pill bugs on the table in the group's row.

"Alright, I'm gonna go order some food and drinks," Mike announced before making his way to the counter.

"Alright, Gypsy," Lily encouraged. "Give it a shot! You might surprise yourself!"

"Just stand right there," David instructed, pointing to a spot near the bowling lane.

"What are those?" Gypsy asked, pointing to the rows of pins at the end of the lane.

"Those are the pins. The goal is to knock down as many as you can with the ball," Lily explained.

Gypsy nodded, looking intrigued. "Alright, here goes nothing," she said, preparing to throw her ball.

"Put as much strength as you can," Lily advised, watching as Gypsy prepared to roll the ball down the lane.

Gypsy nodded, taking a deep breath and focusing her energy. With a swift motion, she released the ball, sending it rolling towards the pins.

The ball rolled down the lane, picking up speed as it approached the pins. Gypsy watched with anticipation, her heart pounding in her chest. As the ball made contact with the pins, there was a satisfying crash as several of them were knocked down.

"Nice throw, Gypsy!" Manny cheered, clapping his hands.

"Yeah, you got some serious power!" Rosie added, giving her a supportive smile.

The moth then observed the sweeper at the end of the lane collecting the remaining pins and clearing out the fallen ones for another attempt. "What's that contraption?"

"That's the pinsetter," David explained. "It's like a robot that resets the pins after each throw so we can keep playing."

"Here comes the ball," Rosie alerted Gypsy as the ball rolled out of the machine.

"Still got some left," Angela said, pointing at the remaining pins.

"Try one more time," Lily added with an encouraging smile.

Gypsy nodded and picked the ball. Concentrating, she threw it down the lane with determination. The ball sped towards the pins and knocked down the rest with a satisfying crash.

"Spare!" Angela cheered.

"Woo-hoo!" the moth exclaimed

"Way to go, Gypsy!" Lily cheered, clapping her hands.

"Now that's how it's done!" David added with a grin.

Just then, Mike returned with a cheerful smile.

"Food should be here soon. In the meantime, let's all grab some drinks!" he announced, spreading the good news.

"Great!" Angela agreed excitedly as everyone made their way to the soda machine and grabbed some cups. Mike and Angela helped Tuck and Roll, considering their small size, ensuring they got their drinks too.

"So, which ones sound good to you?" David asked Gypsy and Manny as they approached the soda machine.

Lily started pointing out some options. "There's Coca-Cola, Sprite, Dr. Pepper, and Fanta. What do you think?"

Gypsy looked intrigued. "What's Coca-Cola?"

"It's a classic," David said. "You should try it."

Manny nodded. "Alright, let's give it a shot."

As they filled their cups, Angela helped Tuck and Roll choose between Sprite and Fanta, their little voices chittering with excitement.

Mike chuckled. "Alright, let's grab a table and enjoy these drinks while we wait for the food."

Everyone agreed, making their way to a nearby table, chatting and laughing as they settled in.

"Alright, my turn," Mike declared as he grabbed his ball and approached the lane.

Angela gave him an encouraging smile. "Show them how it's done, honey."

Mike lined up his shot, focused on the pins, and then released the ball with a smooth, practiced motion. The ball sped down the lane and crashed into the pins, knocking them all down in a perfect strike.

"Yes! Strike!" Mike exclaimed, pumping his fist in triumph.

"Way to go, Mike!" David cheered.

"Nicely done!" Lily added, clapping her hands.

Tuck and Roll laughed and applauded excitedly from their spot on the table, clearly enjoying the energy and excitement.

Rosie turned to Dim and Heimlich. "You see that? Now that's how you bowl."

Heimlich nodded enthusiastically. "Ja, very impressive!"

Dim simply watched with a fascinated look.

As Mike returned to the group, Angela high-fived him. "Great job, babe."

"Thanks," he replied with a grin. "Who's up next?"

Francis stood up. "I'll give it a go." He picked up his ball and walked to the lane, determination in his eyes.

As Francis prepared to bowl, the group settled in with their sodas, the sound of laughter and friendly competition filling the air. It was clear they were all enjoying their time together, making the most of their day at the bowling alley.

With a smooth, determined motion, the ladybug released the ball, sending it gliding down the lane.

The group watched intently as the ball rolled with precision, heading straight for the pins. It made contact with a satisfying crash, knocking over several pins. But as the ball continued its path, two pins at opposite ends remained standing—the infamous 7-10 split.

"Ohhh! The dreaded 7-10 split!" Mike exclaimed, peering at the two separated pins at the end of the lane.

"Great. Just my luck," Francis sighed, eyeing the challenging setup.

"Try one more time," Lily encouraged, sensing his disappointment.

"Hit at least one of them. You might knock it into the other pin," David added, offering some advice to improve Francis's chances.

With a determined nod, Francis took a deep breath, refocused his energy, and prepared for his final attempt. He adjusted his stance, visualizing the trajectory of the ball as he aimed for the tricky split. With a swift motion, he released the ball, sending it rolling down the lane towards the pins.

The ball made contact with one of the pins, toppling it over, almost hitting the other pin, but narrowly missing it, leaving it standing.

"Awww, so close!" Mike exclaimed, sympathizing with Francis's near-miss.

"Don't worry, Francis. You gave it your best shot," Angela reassured him, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder.

Francis nodded, feeling a mix of disappointment and determination. "Thanks, everyone," he said, appreciating their encouragement.

"Alright, Manny! You try!" Lily encouraged the mantis.

Manny stood up, stretching his slender limbs. "Let's see how I do," he said with a determined smile.

"Go for it, Manny!" Gypsy cheered, her wings fluttering slightly with excitement.

Manny approached the lane, picked up a ball, and carefully lined up his shot. His first throw sent the ball gliding down the lane, knocking down six pins. The group cheered and clapped.

"Nice one, Manny!" David called out.

"Solid start!" Angela added with a grin.

Manny nodded, focusing on his second throw. He released the ball with precision, knocking down three more pins, leaving just one standing.

"So close!" Mike said. "You've got this, Manny."

Manny took a deep breath and prepared for his final throw of the round. The ball rolled smoothly down the lane and hit the remaining pin, earning him a spare. The group erupted in applause.

"Way to go, Manny!" Gypsy said, hugging him proudly.

"Great job!" Lily added, clapping her hands.

"Thanks, everyone," Manny said, smiling modestly.

As the game continued, everyone took their turns, the friendly competition bringing out the best in each of them. Tuck and Roll were chittering excitedly, watching the game unfold from their spot on the table.

Mike turned to Angela. "Ready to show them how it's done?"

Angela laughed. "You bet!"

She grabbed her ball and took her position. Her first throw was strong and precise, knocking down all but one pin. The group cheered as she lined up her second shot, easily knocking down the remaining pin for a spare.

"Nice spare!" Mike said, pecking her lips briefly.

"Thanks!" Angela replied, beaming. "Alright, go, sis!"

Lily stepped up to the lane, feeling the pressure of the group's encouragement. She took a deep breath and focused on her target. With a smooth release, her ball glided down the lane, knocking down eight pins.

"Nice shot!" David called out, clapping his hands.

"Almost a strike!" Rosie added, giving her a thumbs-up.

"Don't worry, you've got this," Angela reassured her.

Lily nodded, determined to finish strong. She took her time to focus and released the ball with precision. It rolled smoothly down the lane, knocking down the remaining pins for a spare.

"Way to go, Lily!" Mike exclaimed, giving her a high-five.

The group cheered and clapped, impressed by Lily's skill. As the game continued, the friendly competition intensified, each person vying for the highest score. Tuck and Roll watched with fascination, chirping excitedly as they witnessed the action unfold.

As the game progressed, laughter and camaraderie filled the air, creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime. It was a perfect end to a day filled with adventure and bonding, each person grateful for the time spent together.

"Order 233, Order 233," a female voice called through the speakers.

"Ooh! That's my cue!" Mike said, getting up from his seat. "I'll go grab the food."

As he headed to the counter, the others continued their friendly banter and competition.

Mike approached the counter where a staff member handed him a tray filled with delicious-looking food. He carefully carried it back to the group, his mouth watering at the sight and smell of the food.

"Alright, folks, food's here!" Mike announced as he set the tray down on the table.

The group eagerly gathered around, grabbing slices of pizza, chicken wings, and

fries, along with their chosen sodas. Tuck and Roll scuttled closer, curious about the feast laid out before them.

"Dig in, everyone!" Angela exclaimed, reaching for a slice of pizza.

The room buzzed with conversation and laughter as they enjoyed their meal together, the camaraderie and joy of the day filling the air.

"Mmm! Good stuff!" Gypsy said, taking a bite of her food.

"Ja!" Heimlich agreed, munching happily.

"You would know," Mike quipped to the butterfly with a grin.

Heimlich chuckled. "Well, I do have good taste!"

"So, why do we wear these shoes here?" Manny asked, looking down at his bowling shoes.

"It's to protect the lanes and help you slide when you throw the ball," Mike explained.

"You don't want to scuff up the lanes with regular shoes," Angela added. "Plus, the soles are designed to help you slide smoothly as you release the ball."

Manny nodded, taking in the explanation. "That makes sense. Thanks!"

"No problem, bud," Mike replied with a grin.

"So, how much longer are we staying in New York until our next trip?" Francis asked, nibbling on a wing.

The group paused, glancing at each other before Mike spoke up, "We've got a couple more days here before we head off to our next destination. Plenty of time to explore some more and enjoy the city."

"Right now, after this, we're heading back to Central Park to see some lights there," Angela added.

"Another trip to Central Park?" Slim asked with excitement.

"This time, you'll see a bunch of lights there," David replied.

"Lights!" Emily exclaimed excitedly.

"Alright, whose turn is it?" Lily asked as she slurped her soda.

"I think it's Angela's turn again," Mike replied, glancing at the scoreboard.

Angela stood up, stretching her arms. "Alright, let's see if I can get a strike this time!" She picked up her ball and headed to the lane, ready for her next shot.

Angela focused, took a deep breath, and rolled the ball down the lane. It curved slightly and knocked down all the pins, earning her a strike.

"Strike!" Mike cheered, clapping enthusiastically.

"Way to go, Angela!" Gypsy added, her wings fluttering with excitement.

Angela grinned as she returned to her seat. "Thanks, everyone. I've been practicing."

"Looks like it's my turn," David said, standing up and grabbing his ball. He lined up his shot and rolled the ball, managing to knock down eight pins.

"Not bad, David," Lily said, giving him a thumbs-up.

David smiled and picked up his ball for the spare attempt. He rolled it carefully, and the ball knocked down the remaining pins. "Spare!"

"Nice one!" Mike said, giving David a high-five as he sat back down.

The game continued with everyone taking their turns and cheering each other on. Even the bugs who couldn't bowl enjoyed watching and snacking on the food. Tuck and Roll were particularly entertained, chittering excitedly each time someone bowled a strike or a spare.

"Dim, you having fun, honey?" Rosie asked, looking at the rhinoceros beetle who was happily munching on a burger, with a little help from his adoptive trainer.

Dim nodded, making a pleased rumbling sound.

"Good to hear," the black widow said, smiling.

As the game went on, the friendly competition brought plenty of laughs and cheers. Finally, after everyone had taken their last turn, they tallied up the scores.

"Alright, who's the winner?" Slim asked, looking at the scoreboard.

"Looks like Angela takes the win!" Mike announced, beaming at his fiancée.

"Great job, Angela!" Gypsy said, giving her a congratulatory hug.

"Yay!" Emily cheered as she clapped her hands.

"Nice, sis!" Lily added.

"Thanks, everyone," Angela said, smiling. "That was a lot of fun."

"Alright, let's finish up our food and head out to Central Park," David suggested.

"Sounds good to me," Mike agreed. "I can't wait to see those lights."

Everyone finished their food and drinks, chatting excitedly about their next destination. As they turned their shoes in and left the bowling alley, they could already see the lights of Central Park in the distance, promising a magical end to their day.
