Chapter 28: The Ending of The End, Part 1
Twilight sat on a swing chair, holding Baby Darius as her son snuggled into his mother's chest fur while babbling softly and the sun rose slowly above the forest trees.
As Twilight continued to hold her son, Nyx, Cadance and Shining Armor walked up to her as the white unicorn stallion held Flurry Heart.
"We're very proud of you and Chase, Twilight." Cadance said with a happy smile as Twilight turned to her sister-in-law. "Looks like you both were able to make your dream come true after all."
"Yeah." Twilight added in agreement with her sister-in-law as Nyx joined her mother and gently patted her baby brother. Twilight brings Nyx closer to her with a happy smile as her daughter smiles back. "Now Chase and I have two kids."
"And thank goodness you both do." Applejack said as she, Rarity, Rainbow, Pinkie, Fluttershy, Sokka, Clay, Spike, Grazer, Sunset, Santos, and Jewel approached the family.
"Let's just hope we'll be able to save the world so that maybe Darius maybe the new heir to the throne when you and Chase rule Equestria, Twilight." Clay said with hope.
"Don't worry, Clay. I'm sure that will happen, but I still want to hold my baby boy the way he is for a while." Twilight replied back as she gently caressed Baby Darius' cheek and he cooed.
While they were conversing, they heard the sound of hoof steps coming to them as they turned to see Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio walking up to them.
"Hey, guys. There you are we were just discussing about… huh?" Sokka was cut short when he and the others noticed the Elite Ninja stopping in front of them with serious looks.
The group were surprised by this as Twilight gets up from the chair and walks up to Chase.
"What is it, honey?" Twilight asked her husband.
Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio stood together tall and strong, the rising sun rays reflecting brilliantly off their bodies, along with an overflowing aura of a new found determination.
"It's time to go back." Chase announced.
The rest of the Mane Sixteen, Santos, Jewel, Cadance, Shining Armor, Grazer, and Sunset Shimmer stared at the five ponies in speechless awe.
They were utterly amazed.
It was obvious from the moment that they laid eyes upon them that they had all changed. From the frightened ponies that fled from Equestria, beaten and broken with little hope left in their eyes, to the composed, deadly ninjas they were destined to be.
Twilight gazed at each and every one of them, tears starting in her eyes again, but for once, they were not of sadness, they were of pride. In that very moment, she could never have felt more proud of them, more specifically Chase. She smiled and nodded her head firmly.
"Then what are we waiting for?" Rainbow asked with a grin a new burst of hope blooming within her chest. "Let's get going!"
"She's right. We will need to be prepared no matter what the cost." Santos said with a firm look, agreeing with Rainbow.
"We have no time to waste either." Jewel said in agreement. "It's time we return to Equestria and finish our business with Emperor Zhao once and for all."
The others nodded as they went inside to get ready for their long journey back to Ponyville for the final battle.
Twilight and Nyx stood outside with the alicorn mare holding Darius in her left foreleg. She was never more proud of Chase already.
"I'm so proud of you, sweetie." Twilight said to Chase with a proud yet tearful smile.
"Thanks, Twilight." Chase replied back as the two alicorns shared a loving hug and kiss.
Twilight and Nyx went inside with Baby Darius as they helped the others pack up for their long journey back to their home.
Chase makes another glance at the mountains that leads in the direction of Ponyville and had a determined look on his face.
"I'll be coming for you soon enough, Zhao." Chase said with a whisper.
*Main theme*
In no time, the whole group had gotten their act together and were ready for the journey home. Chase looks at the mountains again with a determined expression before he looks back at his friends and family.
"Well, guys. This is it. You ready to do this?" Chase said with a firm look.
"You kidding?" Pinkie asked excitedly. "We're ready for anything the Quinkan will throw at us, Chase!"
"We'll give Zhao and his henchman one for!" Rainbow said with a determined look.
"I will assist you, your family, and your friends in anyway I can, my friend." Grazer added with a confident glare.
"We're all right behind you, Chase." Spike added with a smirk.
Chase nodded as he tapped his medallion before his dragon appeared from the mist with a loud roar. Then Chase, his family, and friends, minus Grazer, Fluttershy, Rainbow, and Sokka climbed on.
"Then let's get going." Chase said with a determined glare and whips the chains.
His dragon gave out a loud roar before it spread its wings and flew off into the direction to Ponyville as Grazer, Fluttershy, Sokka, and Rainbow flew beside the group.
(Scene changes)
About a few hours of flying, towards midnight, the dragon continued to carry its passengers with Grazer, Sokka, Rainbow, and Fluttershy flying beside the others.
While riding his dragon with his friends and family, Chase was at the front while glaring at their destination.
"We gotta be nearing Ponyville right about now, guys." Jade said while looking concerned. "Or maybe what's left of it."
"Oh, I hope Sokka and I will get to see our animal friends again as much as everypony. It's been so long since we were gone." Fluttershy said with concern.
"Don't worry, honey." Sokka said with an assuring smile. "I'm sure we'll find them soon enough."
Fluttershy smiled back at her husband.
"I do hope Sweetie Belle is alright with our parents." Rarity said with concern for her family's safety.
"Or ours." Applejack said as she and Clay had concern for their family at Sweet Apple Acres.
"Or mine and Scootaloo." Rainbow added with concern for Scootaloo and her parents.
"We'll find them soon enough, guys. But right now we focus on stopping Zhao for good." Chase assured his friends gently yet firmly.
"Then we must be cautious. I have a feeling that something is not right after what Zhao has done to Canterlot." Grazer said with concern. "There is no telling what else he will do to the Equestrian realm."
As Antonio took out his binoculars, he looked through them and saw something up ahead.
"Hey, guys. I think I see Ponyville up ahead!" Antonio said as his family and friends turned to see where he was looking, only to be shocked by what they saw.
There, in the distance, was Ponyville or what was left of it as its buildings were trashed and destroyed as the Windegos continued to circle in the sky with the intense wind blowing.
Chase's dragon landed on the ground as the group climbed down while Grazer, Sokka, Rainbow, and Fluttershy landed beside them. Chase's dragon went back into the alicorn stallion's medallion as the whole group looked at their once beautiful home torn down.
They walked through the empty streets of the town with worried and concerned looks on their faces.
"Uh, guys. Where are all of the Earth Ponies?" Clay asked with concern as he doesn't see any sign of the Earth Ponies anywhere.
"You… You think the Quinkan took… everypony?" Pinkie asked with a look of horror.
"No, it can't be possible." Sunray tried to deny with a concerned look.
Jade tapes her medallion to show the diagram for any sign of the Earth Pony population, but there was not a single dot on the diagram.
"It's possible, guys. I don't see any sign of the Earth Ponies here. All of them are just… gone." Jade said with concern.
Grazer took the moment to sniff in the air, only to get nothing.
"She is right. We are the only ones here." Grazer said with a grim look.
Chase continues to lead the group in hopes that they will find the Castle of Friendship to spend the night before they can prepare for the final battle.
As Chase walks up to a corner and looks for any sign of the castle, he gasps in shock before he immediately presses his back against the wall of the flower shop, alerting the others.
"What is it, honey?" Twilight asked with concern as Baby Darius was riding on his mother's back with a fearful whimper.
"We're not alone out here." Chase answered with concern as a growl like snoring was heard, making the group widen their eyes.
Peaking out of the corner, Twilight notices a Tyrannoquin sleeping beside some rubble and fearfully pulls back.
"Is it a Tyrannoquin?" Spike asked with a worried look.
"Yup." Twilight replied back nervously as the others were scared by this.
"Oh boy." Rainbow said with worry. "What do we do now?"
"If we're really quiet, we can sneak past him while we still can." Chase said with caution.
"Okay." Shining Armor said.
Then the group cautiously sneaked past the Tyrannoquin with caution as the beast continued to let out a snore-like growl. Fluttershy whimpered softly as Sokka held his wife closely while silently walking past the Tyrannoquin's mouth filled with sharp teeth.
Once the group made it past the Tyrannoquin, they silently let out a sigh of relief as Chase saw the Castle of Friendship just a few more yards away.
"There's the castle, guys. We're almost there." Chase said silently to the others.
"What are we standing around here then? Let's get over there before the Dinoquins find us." Sunray replied back.
They nodded in agreement as they were about to head for the castle when Pinkie suddenly stepped on a piece of wood with a loud snap. The others turned sharply to her with widened eyes.
Growling was heard as they turned to see the Tyrannoquin opening its eyes. Immediately, the group hid behind the remains of Town Hall, standing perfectly still as the Tyrannoquin roared out loudly and went to investigate.
The huge beast growled softly as Chase and Twilight silently turned to see, to their horror, the Dinoquin snarling with his fang teeth baring. The royal couple, their family, and their friends stood perfectly still while slowly breathing heavily.
Baby Darius silently cried at the sight of the Tyrannoquin fearfully while riding on Twilight's back as his mother used her magic to bring her son close to her chest while hugging him.
"It's okay, honey." Twilight whispered silently.
Soon the beast snorted and moved forward, not noticing the group, as it walked away in search of other fresh meat around Ponyville.
Once the Tyrannoquin was gone, the group sighed heavily before they glared at Pinkie.
"Nice one, Pinkie." Chase said sternly.
"Sorry." Pinkie replied back sheepishly.
Thinking that there might be some more beasts around town, Sunray silently jumps upward through the rubble. Once he made it to the top of Town Hall, he saw a pack of Tyrannoquins prowling around the area in search of other ponies as they growled softly.
"What's wrong?" Chase asked Sunray as his younger brother jumped back down to join the group.
"That beast wasn't the only one. There's too many of them. They're all over the place." Sunray answered with a whisper.
"Are there any Pteroquins in the sky?" Sunset asked with worry.
"Not yet. But as soon as the Tyrannoquins find us…" Sunray replied back.
"It's okay, guys. As long as we remain vigilant, we'll stop this. But right now, let's get to the castle." Chase said as the others nodded before they continued to stick to the shadows while moving towards the Castle of Friendship.
(Scene changes)
In about a few more minutes, the group arrived at their destination to the Castle of Friendship.
"Here we are, guys." Chase said as he used his magic to open the doors and they went inside as it was mostly dark.
"Yup. Just like how we left it." Twilight said fondly, happy to be back as the others smiled in response.
"Home sweet home." Spike said in agreement with a smile.
"Yeah, and it's still in much better shape from the outside than in here." Sunset added with a smile.
Chase noticed that the castle was in a bit of a wreck as a few rats ran by him and Rarity shrieked at the sight before she fainted. Chase and Twilight just rolled their eyes annoyingly.
Twilight turns her attention back to Darius and takes him in her left foreleg with a sweet smile.
"Welcome to our home, honey." Twilight said gently and nuzzled her son lovingly, making him coo softly. "As soon as we're done with this war, this castle will be a great home for you."
"Then we better get to work on cleaning it up." Cadance suggested with a smile as the others nodded right after Rarity woke up and they got to work.
(Scene changes)
About a few minutes, the group was sweeping the floors with brooms, wiping a few windows down, and cleaning up some cobwebs.
Rainbow, Clay, and Applejack came out with some spare blankets and pillows they could find, whilst Sunray and Jade shooed away the rats that had nested themselves in their home, both ponies armed with brooms.
Sokka and Fluttershy gently guided some rats to the doors in hopes that they would find a safe place to stay until the war was over.
While Rarity was busy cleaning some mirrors with a duster, she swats a star spider away.
"I honestly don't see how we are all gonna get this place cleaned up in a war like this." Rarity said with a discouraged look while Chase and Twilight looked annoyed by her behavior.
"Will you quit complaining, Rarity?!" Twilight snapped in annoyance as Rarity glared at her annoyingly. "It's just for the night."
Behind them, they could hear Sunray growl in frustration.
"I still don't see why we can't just get started right away!" Sunray said, sweeping his broom at a rat with a little more force than was really necessary.
"It's been a long drive, Sunray." Chase replied calmly as they shooed away the last of the rats from their home, letting them scurry away out of the castle, "And before we go advertising to the Quinkan that we're back, we could all use a few hours' sleep."
Sunray finally relaxed with a sigh of resignation.
"You're right, Chase," Sunray mumbled, just as Cadance and Shining Armor returned with a few blankets and pillows, both bearing surprised expressions at Sunray's statement. "It's just that I –"
Something thumped in one of the upper rooms. All of them froze in place as they turned to where the sound had come from.
The sound came again. It was coming from Spike's bedroom.
"What was that?" Trini asked in a loud whisper.
"It's coming from my room. Who's in there?" Spike asked with a loud whisper as well.
"I don't know," Chase answered in an equally hushed tone, "but we're gonna find out…"
Ninja instincts kicking in, Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio slowly moved towards Spike's room, horns lit, and aura hands reaching instinctively for their weapons. Twilight stayed behind while holding Darius as Nyx stayed beside her mother and brother. Cadance held Flurry Heart closer to her as Shining Armor held them protectively and the rest were ready for a fight.
After sharing a brief look and a silent nod with his young brother, Chase swiftly swung the door open as Sunray charged into the room with his horn lit, aura hands replacing his front hooves. A small scuffle ensued in the darkness before Sunray finally overpowered the intruder.
"You?!" Sunray growled, pinning the offender on the ground outside of the room and holding his sai to her throat.
The intruder lifted her face, revealing a very familiar pegasus mare from Zhao's army… Lightning Dust.
"Lightning Dust?!" Rainbow said in surprise as the others were shocked to find her here.
"Bet you think you're pretty slick?" Sunray mocked with a sly grin.
However, Sunray was not prepared when Lightning Dust twisted his aura hand with a sickening crack, making him cry out in pain. Lightning Dust took that moment to flip Sunray off her back and stomped him on the chest, making him land hard on his back as he grunted in pain.
"I have my moments," Lightning Dust jeered down at him.
Suddenly, a magical aura ceased her in the process and she was pinned against the wall. Lightning Dust turned to see Twilight glaring at her with Chase by his wife's side narrowing his eyes at the ocean blue pegasus angrily. The others glared at her as well.
"Alright, Lightning Dust. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't attack you right now." Chase demanded with an angry look.
"Please! Just listen! I'm not here to kill you!" Lightning Dust insisted as she struggled to get out of Twilight's magical aura.
"Why should we believe you?!" Jade demanded furiously. "After all the trouble you put us through to get to not just Chase, but also our family?"
"Yeah, you nearly took out my friends back at the Wonderbolts Academy! You almost got Scootaloo killed at the Washouts! Why should we trust you after what you've done to us?!" Rainbow said furiously to her rival.
"Look, I know what I did was under Zhao's orders and there's no excuse I have to make. You guys have every right to be angry with me." Lightning Dust said sincerely for once.
"Gee, ya think?!" Clay retorted sarcastically and angrily as he and others continued to glare at Lightning Dust.
"Thanks for the offer!" Spike added rudely as he glared at her.
Chase stared at Lightning Dust for a moment, noticing the guilt in her eyes. Having no other choice, Chase sighs reluctantly.
"Twilight, let her go." Chase instructed, shocking the others in the process while Twilight turns to her husband in surprise.
"What?!" Rainbow shouted in disbelief. "Chase, come on! For all we know is that she probably has the Quinkan here! What makes you think we can trust her?!"
"Because we can't just let this one slide, and I have a feeling she came here alone." Chase said sternly and turned to Twilight. "Let her go, honey."
"Chase, this is wrong!" Grazer said with a glare he sent to Lightning Dust. "We cannot trust Lightning Dust! If you only knew what she was capable of."
"My decision is finally, buddy." Chase said firmly yet gently.
A little unsure about this, Twilight released Lightning Dust and stopped using her magic. The pegasus lands on all fours as she turns to Chase.
"What are you doing here, Lightning Dust?" Chase inquired, folding his wings across his chest firmly, "If you don't want to kill us, then what do you want?"
Lightning Dust turned away from the blue banded turtle for a moment. She had the last four months to think upon her actions and decisions. She had also thought about the consequences that would be upon her should Zhao ever find out about her treachery.
Then she turns her attention back to Chase as she nervously looks at him.
All her life she was with the Quinkan and was loyal to their leader. His orders for her were to destroy Chase so that he wouldn't know what hit him and so far, he was still breathing.
"I came here to...see what you guys were really about…" Lightning Dust replied, "Who you really are…and to re-think some things, like what we're going to do to this world...what Zhao is going to do..."
"We already know, Zhao has the Windegos scaring all of the ponies and his Sanzu River is poisoning the south part of Equestria." Chase said firmly.
"What else do you know?" Fluttershy asked curiously.
"Listen...I'll tell you everything," Lightning Dust said, turning to Chase. "Just let me stay here for the night. I promise I will not do anything to hurt your clan again...to hurt your family again."
Chase looked at her for a moment while the others behind him were surprised by her words.
Releasing a sigh, Chase made the right choice.
"Alright, but for now." Chase said firmly. "Until we know where your loyalty lies, we'll see who you really are. Tonight, you stay with us."
Lightning Dust nodded in reply.
(Scene changes)
A little while later, they were in the throne room as Lightning Dust managed to explain why she avoided Zhao all this time.
She told them that Zhao was preparing to destroy the world and all life around it to become ruler of both realms while she still wanted to live.
After a brief moment of silence, Chase decided to break it.
"I still don't understand why you could serve someone as evil and dishonorable as Zhao." Chase said.
"Well, you only knew Zhao as a merciless enemy." Lightning Dust said as she sighed. "But I knew another side of him."
Flashback
Long ago, back when Lightning Dust was a filly, she was in an alley in Manehattan being abandoned by her birth parents while looking angry.
"It was he who discovered me many years ago in Manehattan, after my parents had abandoned me." Lightning Dust explained as her past younger self sat alone beside the dumpster when Zhao wrapped up in a cloak and hood found her, making her look up to him.
(Scene changes)
In his dojo in the Netherworld, Zhao jumped and landed on the floor, then he and Lightning Dust sent a bunch of punches forward.
"He allowed me to train alongside him..." Lightning Dust said as both her younger self and Zhao spin around and do a side kick. "..and thus I learned the art of ninjutsu as well as helping me fly at full speed."
Both Young Lightning Dust and Zhao lower their arms and rest. A scene changes to Lightning Dust flying around some obstacles in the dojo as Zhao watches with pride while remaining stoic.
A teenage Lightning Dust held up a Bow and Arrow, and then aimed the arrow at Zhao.
"I respected him, and he trusted me." Lightning Dust's voice continued to narrate as her teenage self fired the arrow, followed by four more, but Zhao knocked them all away with his forearms. An adult Lightning Dust bows before Zhao, who holds a sword in its holder. "To me, he was Master Zhao." Zhao pulled the sword out of its holder slightly, before pushing it back in. "He was more than just my master." Zhao hands Lightning Dust the sword, who took it, as he smiled. "He became a father to me."
"Only discipline, effort, and loyalty earn the right to wear the Dragonquin…the Crest of The Quinkan." Zhao spoke to Lightning Dust, his voice low and orotund. "You are here because the outside world rejects you. This is your family. I am your Father…and I want you to become a full member of The Quinkan. And I need more followers to end this pathetic ninja clan called the White Lotus."
Lightning Dust bowed her head in respect to her master.
Flashback ends
Chase and the others listened to Lightning Dust, now understanding why she was following Zhao's orders after she was abandoned by her parents.
"Well, I guess now this explains a lot." Chase said, sympathetically. "No wonder why you were doing this."
"At least for now you are on our side, Lightning Dust. But we will still see where your loyalty lies." Santos said calmly yet firmly.
Lightning Dust nodded back in reply, accepting this.
(Scene changes)
In the library, Jade was going through a few pictures she took back at the blacksmith house after she had recently drawn through pencils.
With her, Lightning Dust was looking at a few as well.
"Wow, these are really good." Lightning Dust said as she looks at a picture of Chase sitting under a tree while meditating.
"Thanks, I found a few pictures and a pencil at the house we were staying in." Jade said while looking at a few pictures of her family and friends having fun. "Most of them were done after Chase had woken up from his time in the dream realm."
"Do you think…I could have one?" Lightning Dust asked Jade hesitantly.
Jade stared at her for a moment before she gave the pegasus mare a friendly smile.
"Sure, why not?" Jade replied kindly.
Lightning Dust smiled back and picked up the one with Chase meditating under the tree.
For at least a few minutes, the two were starting to bond well together while staying inside the castle so that the Quinkan wouldn't be able to find them.
(Scene changes)
Twilight and Chase were in their bedroom while looking at the view of their once beautiful home. Now it was nothing more than a ghastly site of a ghost town with torn buildings.
The sight of it made their hearts ache so much after all Zhao has done to them as well as to everypony they knew and loved.
"I can't believe that Zhao has nearly destroyed our home, honey." Twilight said to her husband sadly yet softly.
"I know, and it will be much harder for us when we bring the fight to him." Chase said as he looked down and turned slightly away from Twilight. "What really scares me most is losing you and our family, Twilight. You, Darius, and Nyx are my life. Without you, I won't have anything, but a shadow to remember me by."
"Chase, I understand your loyalty to honor your grandfather's legacy." Twilight said with a sympathetic smile.
"Grandpa's spirit was what gave me the courage to bring us all back here. But now, we won't have anything left." Chase said as he closed his eyes when Twilight touches his forehoof.
"You have so much more than that, Chase." Twilight said with a gentle and loving smile as Chase turned to his wife.
The alicorn couple shared a loving hug with their foreheads touching each other as their eyes closed.
"My love for you and our children burns inside my heart, Twilight. Brighter than all the stars in the universe." Chase said warmly and softly as Twilight smiled while she snuggled under her husband's chin.
(Scene changes)
Later towards sunrise, the others were sleeping soundly in the spare bedrooms.
In one of the bed rooms, Lightning Dust was tossing and turning restlessly in her sleep.
Zhao's voice echoed in her dreams…
"You are here because the outside world rejects you…" Zhao's voice echoed in her head. "This is your family… I am your father…"
Lightning Dust jolted awake, her face dripping with sweat as she sat up and held her head in her trembling hands, her eyes wide and fearful as she stared blankly ahead of her.
She couldn't go on like this. This endless battling between her loyalties to Zhao and doing the right thing had to stop, or she would go insane.
Lightning Dust had never cared about doing the right thing before. Whatever she did, if it was fun, then she would screw the rules and go do it. Now however, she was involved in something so much bigger. She had actually begun to develop feelings for the heroes over the course of a few hours, simply by watching them, and in reality, it hurt her upon thinking about what they had put them through.
Silently, the pegasus mare creaked the door open with her saddle bag strapped to her and she silently made her way to corridor of the castle before she made her way to the door.
Before she could open it, she looks back to where the bedrooms were.
"I'm sorry, Chase." Lightning Dust whispered with a guilty look.
She quickly yet silently opens the door and goes outside, closing it immediately before flying off to Canterlot.
(Scene changes)
It had taken longer than she thought while flying, but Lightning Dust eventually reached the town of Canterlot where it was now an armed fortress as the White Lotus Clan ninjas were still forced to work to improve the place.
Silently, Lightning Dust crept through the shadows of the buildings to Zhao's castle while remaining undetected from the Quinkan soldiers.
In no time, she found the door that led to the catacombs and walked down the stairs.
Once she made it to the dungeon, Lightning Dust stood in the center of the prisoners. Celestia, Luna, Starlight, the Pillars, and Discord had heard her coming down and turned to see her.
"Lightning Dust. This is a surprise." Celestia said as Lightning Dust turned to the sun princess. "We were expecting one of the Quinkan to mock us."
"Though, we were not expecting you to join us. We were heard that you have not been seen for days." Luna said surprisingly.
"I've been in my hideout a lot lately…" Lightning Dust said as she sat down in the center, "I had some things to think about…about Zhao's evil intentions."
"And do you hide…from your surrogate father as well?" Star Swirl asked curiously.
Lightning Dust shrugged and cast her gaze downward.
"I don't know…I just…after what he's done and made me do all of those terrible things to ponies when he took me in…" Lightning Dust replied back feeling very guilty.
Celestia smiled down at her warmly.
"It would seem that you have been through so much with your alone time, and are in the right place." Celestia said with a gentle smile.
"And your heart is in the right place." Luna said, agreeing with her older sister along with the others that sent smiles to Lightning Dust.
Lightning Dust smiled in return.
It was finally clear in that moment, that Lightning Dust realized who Zhao really was. He was not her father figure.
He was a monster, a monster that was going to destroy everything around Equestria and everyone in it.
"Lightning Dust." A familiar voice spoke behind Lightning Dust, causing her to gasp sharply and spun around to come face to face with Zhao, who came up to her as he was glaring down at her suspiciously.
With him were Kai, Tai Lung, Chrysalis, Cozy Glow, and Tirek.
"What are you doing in here?" Zhao inquired slowly.
"Nothing, Master Zhao," Lightning Dust explained, trying to appear casual whilst holding down the new-born anger within her, "I was interrogating the rat again for any new information."
Zhao did not lose his glare.
"Where have you been?" he probed further.
"Scouting Ponyville for any sign of the Earth Ponies. I've found nothing so far, but we're getting close – " Lightning Dust tried to explain feebly
"– You are lying to me."
Lightning Dust faltered. Of course he knew she was lying; he was a master of ninjitsu, as well as the monster who had raised her for almost her entire life just like Cozy Glow. He could see right through her little act.
"No I'm not," Lightning Dust protested futilely, "I was – "
Zhao silenced her by unsheathing his blades from his gauntlet and raising them to her neck with a dangerous sorce of magic coursing through him. She froze in place, her eyes wide and fearful. He had never done this to her before, not even when she failed her mission in killing the Elite Ninja.
After all this time, was he finally slipping?
"Yes. You are," Zhao sneered, and noticed a folded piece of paper in her saddle bag. "…and you are hiding something as well…"
Sheathing his blades, Zhao slowly reached down his hand and snatched the folded paper from her bag. He unfolded it, and his glare intensified upon staring at the picture of Chase meditating under the tree. He slid his angered glare back to Lightning Dust, who watched him in rare fear.
"I knew you couldn't be trusted, after all I did for you." Zhao said sternly as he turned back to Cozy, Tirek, Tai Lung, Kai, and Chrysalis as they too saw the picture of Chase alive. "They're back!"
Starlight, Celestia, Luna, the Pillars, and Discord turned to them, their eyes widened in shock and surprise.
"It would seem as though Chase has survived the fight with his family and friends." Zhao said sinisterly and evilly. "But it does not matter… by today…" He unsheathed his blades, slicing the picture of Chase Young in half, his head severed from his body as it floated down to the floor. "…they will be no more."
Then he turns his attention to Lightning Dust as she turned to her former master with a scared look.
"Chrysalis, take care of her." Zhao firmly instructed as Chrysalis fired a magic beam at Lightning Dust, sending her to an open cage as she grunted in pain.
The former changeling queen quickly uses her webbing on the pegasus mare's cage before joining the Quinkan leader.
Zhao turned and left the room, his cape flowing behind him as he strode away. Kai, Cozy, Tirek, Chrysalis, Tai Lung, and Kai followed after him, casting a conceited smirk at Karai and the other prisoners.
The seven approached the courtyard.
"There will be no mistakes this time," Zhao commanded as he turned to Kai. "Kai. You, Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy take the Quinkan to Ponyville. Destroy those ponies."
"As for Chase?" Tai Lung asked his master with a sinister look.
"If he is still alive, bring him to me. I want to deal with him personally." Zhao answered as the six bowed in respect before they went to collect the Quinkan soldiers. He turns his attention to Grogar's bell and uses his magic to extract his magic from Discord, Celestia, and Luna's magic inside. "And take the bell with you. Discord, Celestia, and Luna's magic in the bell is of no use to me anymore."
Kai nodded as he takes the bell before he Tai Lung, Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy went off to deal with the heroes as the Quinkan joined them.
(Scene changes)
In a short time, a big group of the Quinkan flooded the road that was leading to Ponyville. Once they arrived, they noticed the Castle of Friendship. Soon they were making their way towards it to find the heroes.
Unknown to them, Chase had just noticed them as Twilight was standing beside him. Now the only difference in their appearance is that they have black paint marks on their faces.
"Is it them?" Twilight asked her husband silently.
"Yup. I had a feeling that Lightning Dust would return to Canterlot to see our other friends there." Chase said as he turns to his wife. "Tell the others to get ready, Twilight. The fight is already here."
Twilight nodded in reply before she went off to get the others immediately as Chase glared at the Quinkan soldiers heading towards their direction.
It was not long until the Quinkan finally arrived at the entrance of the Castle of Friendship. As one unit, they charged into the corridor, leaping inside with weapons drawn and ready. However, they were very surprised to find that the place was empty.
"SURPRISE!" Pinkie's voice shouted as smoke abruptly filled the room, blinding all the unsuspecting Quinkan soldiers.
In the thickness of the smoke, grunts and roars of pain could be heard as the soldiers were kicked, punched and beaten down one by one. Soon, the smoke finally cleared, revealing Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio standing smugly over the several unconscious Quinkan soldiers.
The five ponies were wearing their old armor from when they fought off the Storm King with black marks on their faces as they had their horns lit, and aura hands replacing their front hooves.
The rest of the Mane Sixteen approached them wearing gi belts to their waists, different colors of bandanas wrapped around their foreheads, and different colorful paint marks on their faces of their own.
Santos and Jewel joined them as well.
Twilight had yellow paint marks on her face, a yellow gi wrapped around her waist, a yellow bandana, white wrappings on all fours with her katana and tanto blade strapped to her side.
Pinkie had blue marks on her face, with a blue gi wrapped around her waist, a blue bandana around her forehead, blue wrappings on her forelegs, and has a bo staff strapped to her side.
Rainbow Dash had red marks on her face, a light red bandana wrapped around her forehead, a red gi wrapped around her waist, red wrappings wrapped around her forehooves, and was carrying a tanto.
Applejack had green marks on her face, a green bandana wrapped around her forehead, a green gi wrapped around her waist, green wrappings wrapped around her forehooves, and has a bow and arrows strapped to her side.
Rarity had dark blue markings on her face, a blue gi wrapped to her waist, a dark blue bandana wrapped around her forehead, blue wrappings wrapped around her forehooves, and a pair of war fans strapped to her side.
Fluttershy had a light green bandana wrapped around her forehead, light green gi wrapped around her waist, light green marks on her face, light green wrappings wrapped around her forehooves, and has a double bladed sword strapped to her side.
Clay had gray marks on his face, a gray bandana wrapped around his forehead, light brown wrappings wrapped around his forelegs, and had a battle ax strapped to his kusarigama.
Sokka had black and white marks on his face, a black and white striped bandana wrapped around his forehead, black wrappings wrapped around his forelegs, and has a spear strapped to his side.
Finally, Nyx had light blue marks on her face, a light blue bandana wrapped around her forehead, light blue wrappings wrapped around her forehooves, and had a pair of twin sais strapped to her side.
"Dudes! No sweat!" Antonio said and laughed as he planted his aura hands on his hips.
Sunray smirked as he twirled one of his sais in his left aura hand and stopped.
"Well, I do hope there are more of them!" Sunray said with a grin.
At that moment, Sunray's wish was granted as more Quinkan soldiers poured in from the entrance, all roaring and growling at the heroes as they turned to them.
"Whoa! You really gotta stop saying stuff like this, Sunray!" Antonio said in shock and fear.
"Don't worry, Antonio! We can take these guys down this time, no problem!" Chase reassured Antonio. Then he turns his attention to Rainbow, Rarity, Pinkie, Applejack, and Fluttershy. "Okay, you guys ready?"
"Ready!" The five girls replied back with confident smiles.
Touching his medallion, Chase used his aura hand to transfer some of his powers into Pinkie, Rarity, Rainbow, Fluttershy, and Applejack. Once it was done, the five girls smirked at the Quinkan soldiers, who growled at them.
"You guys are in so much trouble now!" Rainbow said with a smirk as she and the others used their powers from Chase's medallions to conjure aura hands to replace their front hooves and dished out their respective weapons.
Without warning, the Mane Sixteen charged at the soldiers.
Chase dragon kicked two Pyroquin soldiers aside, sliced through most of their weapons before spin kicking five to the ground.
Jade grunted as she used her tanto blade to slice through some weapons from a group of four Protoquin soldiers before she kicked two of them to the ground and whacked them aside with one of her tessen fans.
Sunray threw a series of dragon punches at two Pyroquin soldiers as Rainbow came at his side to punch the other three aside and Applejack back kicked two aside.
Nyx blocked a few punches from two Pyroquin soldiers before spin kicking them to the ground as Rarity and Pinkie each performed dragon kicks at two soldiers aside.
Trini managed to block a few incoming attacks from two Protoquins before she palm strikes the first one off screen and high kicks the last one away.
Jewel and Santos both looked around as four Quinkan soldiers surrounded them, each with a sword. Santos then whacked one and then kicked the second with both his hind legs.
Jewel punched the third in the face, and then whacked the fourth with the handle of her tanto blade.
All in under five seconds, this caused them to fall over out cold, as they didn't know what hit them.
Grazer appeared from out of the shadows with Sunset riding him as the Dragon-turned-Wingquin charges at the Quinkan soldiers, bashing and swatting them aside as his rider used her magic to fire beams at them.
Five of them had cornered Fluttershy and Sokka back against the wall with their katanas at the hand when a log fell on top of the soldiers. They looked up to see Cadance, Flurry, and Shining Armor above them on the second floor with grins on their faces.
"You guys are naturals!" Sokka said with a smile.
"Thanks, Sokka." Shining Armor said with a cocky smirk.
Sokka and Fluttershy smiled back at them before they joined the others into battle.
Fluttershy, now with a look of confidence, high kicks a Protoquin soldier aside, upper cuts another into the air, and dragon kicks the last one aside.
She didn't notice that one of the other Pyroquin soldiers had snuck up behind her and was about to attack, but Sokka landed beside his wife, taking the soldier out with a single sweep of his left hind leg as Fluttershy turned to see him down.
"Thanks, honey." Fluttershy said to Sokka with a sweet smile.
"You are so welcome." Sokka replied back with a hint of his cheeks blushing.
In the other corner, Chase and Sunray were face to face with another group of Pyroquin soldiers.
"Sunray! Link up!" Chase said as he drop-kicked another Pyroquin soldier.
Sunray grinned and leapt over to his older brother. They stood back to back as the soldiers surrounded them, completely unsuspecting…perfect.
With a final nod and a grin large enough to split their faces in two, Sunray and Chase linked their arms together as Sunray hoisted him off the floor and began rotating in a spiral motion as Chase kicked out at commencing soldiers, watching as they all went down one by one like rocks. As soon as they were all defeated, Sunray released his older brother as they shared another grin of unconcealed pleasure.
"Nice job, bro!" Sunray said with a smirk as he and Chase high fived each other.
They turned just in time to see Twilight quickly and gracefully defending herself. She uses her katana to block an incoming sword swipe from a Protoquin soldier before back kicking it aside and phoenix kicks another aside.
Chase joins Twilight as his wife turns to him with a grin.
"Nice job, honey." Chase said with a proud smile.
"Thanks, honey." Twilight said to her husband with a smile.
"Gangway!" Antonio cried jubilantly as he used a skateboard to fly past several Quinkan soldiers, avoiding their swings and attacks as he whizzed past them.
He whipped out and spun his nunchaku, hitting several Pyroquin soldiers as he raced by.
Sokka followed shortly after on his own skateboard, whacking and jabbing soldiers with his spear as he flew past after Antonio. They laughed as they skidded to a stop, pumping their fists together and making an explosion with their hands.
Sunray stared at them both with a scowl.
"Show-offs!" Sunray called, smashing his fist into the face of a Protoquin soldier without looking.
Chase shook his head with a smirk before they all resumed into battle.
The view changes to the outside at the front of the castle as pounding and smacking sounds were heard before the whole group of the Quinkan were sent flying right out into the open.
They then regrouped and retreated back to where they came from right back to Canterlot.
Chase, Twilight, and the others were outside just in time to see the soldiers running off.
"Looks like we got them on the run!" Rainbow said with a smirk.
"Hold up, Rainbow. I got a feeling that this was only the first part." Chase said with caution as the others turned to him. "We need to get to Canterlot now. There's no telling more will be on the way over here."
"He's right. We have no time to waste." Santos said, agreeing with his son.
"Let's go, everypony. We've got a fight to bring." Twilight said as Cadance and Shining Armor walked out.
"You guys go. We'll make sure they won't get Darius and Flurry." Cadance said to the group with a confident smile.
"And Chase?" Shining Armor said to Chase as his brother-in-law turned to him. "Give Zhao a couple of hits from us."
Chase smiled back at them before he and Twilight led their family and friends to Canterlot with Grazer and Sunset following them.
(Scene changes)
Unknown to them, they were being watched by Zhao as he used his powers to conjure a magical mist as he glared at the group before he smirked evilly.
"And I will be waiting for you pathetic ponies with your lives in mere seconds to death." Zhao said sinisterly.
(Scene changes)
In just a few seconds, the Mane Sixteen, Santos, Jewel, Spike, Grazer, and Sunset walked into a field as they noticed the path leading to Canterlot to Zhao's fortress.
"Okay, based on Lightning Dust's intel, Zhao has turned Canterlot into an armed fortress. It's heavily fortified and there are traps and the rest of his Quinkan army everywhere. We'll have to keep on our hooves." Chase instructed the others.
"Right, honey. There's no telling of the danger we'll be facing." Twilight said agreeing with her husband as the others nodded in agreement.
"No doubt that this will be very easy. Zhao's army must have grown larger by now." Grazer said with concern.
"You think they know we're here?" Spike asked the group with concern.
Suddenly, a magically swirl appeared as Kai, Tai Lung, Tirek, Chrysalis, and Cozy Glow came walking out with the bell.
"I'd say they have an idea." Applejack said.
The Windegos continue circling as the villains approached the group of heroes.
"That bell has Discord, Celestia, and Luna's magic inside." Twilight said, seeing the Bell. "If they use it against us-"
"Discord's magic is so chaotic, he's the only one who can use it." Fluttershy said.
"So it's true, Chase." Kai said with a smirk, getting the heroes to glare at him and the other villains. "You're still alive and decided to come out to face us!"
"You just can't accept that you were beaten before you even realized there was a fight, can you?" Chrysalis questioned.
"Yeah, well, you can't keep a good ninja down." Chase replied back with a scowl.
"You've managed to defeat a lone villain easily." Tai Lung said with an evil smirk. "But do you think you can actually defeat five of them?"
"We're just getting started, Tai Lung." Sunray said with a glare.
"You can't beat us if we never give up!" Twilight firmly said. "As long as I have my friends by my side, I'll put my faith in friendship-"
"Ugh, can we get on with this please?" Cozy groaned impatiently.
"So tell me, Princess and Prince." Kai said to Twilight and Chase with a sinister smile. "How do you two choose to die?"
"That's for you guys to find out. Come and give us your best shot!" Jade replied back.
"With pleasure." Kai said as he snapped his fingers.
At his command, Cozy quickly flew up and fired a blast towards them, lands a direct hit leaving a large crater in the ground. The five approached it to find the heroes gone.
Then Twilight and the others appeared in the forest after Twilight quickly teleported them.
"Phew! That was a little too close! Good job, Twilight." Sunset said to Twilight as she wiped some sweat from her head.
"We still need more time to stop them." Chase said with a firm look.
"Chase is right. We need to get that bell and get Discord and the princesses their magic back." Twilight said as she turned to Rainbow, Pinkie, Sokka, and Clay. "Rainbow Dash, Pinkie, Sokka, Clay, you're with me."
"Sweet!" Rainbow beamed. "I'll grab that bell in 10 second-!"
"No. We're the distraction." Twilight corrected as she gestured to Sunset, Fluttershy, Applejack, Spike, Nyx, and Rarity. "They're gonna get the bell."
"While you guys are doing that, I'll take Grazer, Jade, Sunray, Trini, Antonio, Mom and Dad with me. We're gonna do our best to slow Kai and Tai Lung down." Chase said firmly as the others nodded in agreement.
Meanwhile, the villains were still looking for the heroes.
"You can't hide from us forever!" Kai said as Chrysalis fired at a tree, destroying it.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are!" Chrysalis said.
"There!" Cozy yelled while pointing at something offscreen.
All of a sudden, Clay, Sokka, Twilight, Pinkie and Rainbow came charging out of the treeline as Pinkie and Rainbow yelled.
"GET THEM!" Kai yelled out while pointing at the five.
The villains charged as Cozy fired blasts at them as they dodged them. Sokka and Rainbow flew around Cozy as she tries to hit them, and then Rainbow quickly flew by Cozy making her spin like a top. Sokka flew at her and sent a powerful punch, knocking the filly away a bit before she recovered with an angry look.
Cozy flew after Rainbow and Sokka.
Tirek and Tai Lung charged after them as Twilight appeared in front of them and charged her horn.
"I've waited a long time for this." Tai Lung said as he smirked and cracked his hands together.
Tirek cracked his neck as he then lifted several rocks with his magic and throws them at Twilight as Tai Lung charges at the alicorn mare when Grazer came in and tackles the anthropomorphic snow leopard off screen. Twilight quickly dodges them, and fires a powerful beam at Tirek, knocking him off his hooves along with losing a tooth from that.
He gets up charged towards Twilight as then Pinkie appeared in front of Chrysalis as a carnival baker.
"Step right up, evil fillies and gentlevillains!" Pinkie said. "Try your luck!"
Chrysalis fired a beam at Pinkie as she jumps a wheel, and rolls off and Chrysalis fires another beam and lands a direct hit on the wheel as it was ash. But Pinkie appeared a tree as Chrysalis fires a beam, only to miss the pink pony.
"Missed me!" Pinkie shouted as she popped under a rock and Chrysalis fired at her again, only to miss her. Pinkie appeared from a bush. "Close, but no cherrychimichanga!"
"UGH!" Chrysalis shouted in anger and annoyance as she fired at Pinkie again, only to miss her.
"Thanks for playing!" Pinkie said as she laughed, appearing next to Chrysalis with a stuffed toy version of the former changeling queen.
Chrysalis fires a beam at the toy turning it to ash and it flies off her hoof. Pinkie rushed off as Chrysalis went after her.
Kai watched the battle going on when he noticed that there was only Twilight, Sokka, Clay, Rainbow, Pinkie, and Grazer attacking.
"Where are the others?" Kai said as he looked around with a glare, not noticing Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, Antonio, Santos, and Jewel leaping on a few tree limbs.
The seven lit their horns with aura hands replacing their front hooves and they dished out their respective weapons. Kai continued to look around for a bit when…
"Coming through!" Chase shouted, making Kai turn around to see the seven up in the air, twirling their weapons, and dove down towards the anthropomorphic yak.
The seven each sent a number of whacks at Kai, making him grunt in surprise and pain as he flew in mid air, right on to his back.
Growling angrily, Kai took out his chained connect swords and clashed blades with Chase for a bit when Jade came in and punches Kai in the face, making him stumble for a bit when Grazer tosses Tai Lung at him, sending the two on their backs to the ground.
Soon they all were starting to lure the five away from the bell as the others quickly rushed to it and Cozy fires a beam towards Rainbow and Sokka, who quickly dodge it.
"Do they have to be so annoying?!" Cozy asked Kai annoyingly as she growled.
Chrysalis overheard them as Cozy fires another beam when the former changeling queen suddenly noticed something.
"Not annoying!" Chrysalis said, looking back to see the rest of the group were about to loop a rope around the bell. "Distracting!"
"STOP THEM!" Kai shouted, pointing at the rest.
Chrysalis fires a beam towards them as they quickly flee as the changeling chased them.
Rarity, Sunset, Nyx, and Spike flee as Chrysalis fires a beam at the baby dragon. Rarity got in front of him and block Chrysalis' beam with their magic shield, but it soon broke. And then Chrysalis both fired a blast at her, but Spike quickly fires a blast holding it back as Sunset and Nyx fired their own beams of magic. Rarity quickly joins them, and then Chrysalis fired a blast at them and knocks them off their feet.
Back with Chase and his team, they weren't having the best of luck as Santos and Jewel were knocked to the ground by Kai. Sunray, Trini, Antonio, and Jade tried to help them only for Tai Lung to kick them aside, making them grunt in pain.
Suddenly Chase came in and sent a few dragon punches to the snow leopard before kicking him aside.
Then Kai came in and whacked Chase aside next to his family.
Meanwhile, Tirek chased Applejack and Clay as they each had a rope in their mouths. They quickly loop the ropes around the Bell, and try to pull it away. But Tirek rips the ropes and tossed them away.
Sokka and Fluttershy quickly flew towards the bell, but Cozy quickly got in front of them.
"Now, now, professors." Cozy smirked. "We all know you're not the fast ones."
"Don't you dare mock us!" Sokka shouted when Cozy fires a beam at the pegasus couple, knocking them away as Rainbow and Grazer quickly caught them.
"Enough!" Chrysalis said as she holds out Spike and Nyx with her magic, threateningly to pull their wings off, making them shout in pain. "Or the dragon and filly's wings get plucked!"
"Please! Don't hurt him!" Twilight pleaded as Chase glared at them angrily. "And don't harm my baby girl!"
"Put them down! NOW!" Chase shouted in anger.
"Don't worry about us!" Spike yelled. "Just save-!"
He and Nyx then groan in pain from Chrysalis' pull of their wings.
"Mommy, Daddy! Don't do this!" Nyx shouted in despair.
"Oh! We all know the answer to this problem!" Tai Lung said with an evil grin.
Given no choice, the Mane Sixteen, Sunset, Grazer, Santos, and Jewel were forced to surrender as Kai laughed evilly.
"That's it?!" Kai retorted as he took Spike and Nyx in his right hand. "That's all you fools have got?! You're making this way too easy for us!" He then laughed evilly. "Honestly, I've expected more of a fight from you, Twilight and Chase! But in the end, you're both not the leaders everyone deserves! A true leader keeps fighting till the end! But you two... Are nothing but a coward."
"Turns out that the Magic of Friendship is your biggest weakness." Tirek said as Kai threw Spike and Nyx over to them as Twilight caught him while Chase caught Nyx as the two alicorns held them protectively. "A fitting end to your pathetic story."
"Any last words?" Kai asked as Cozy, Tirek, and Chrysalis charged up to fire.
"No matter what, we face it together!" Rainbow said.
"And there will always be a new hope to rise up from the shadows to stop you all!" Chase added with a determined look.
"Oh, really?" Kai said and chuckled loudly. "Then who's going to stop us from killing everyone?!"
The group joins together and the Windigos howled as they circled.
"GOODBYE, TWILIGHT SPARKLE AND CHASE YOUNG!" Kai roared. "THIS ENDS NOW!"
Then Tirek, Cozy Glow, and Chrysalis fired at the group as they closed their eyes.
Everything turned white.
"What happened?" Spike asked, realizing something was off. "Can I open my eyes?"
"Ya sure can!" Applejack said.
"Guys, look!" Clay added in shock and amazement.
Then the brightness fades as a magical shield was over them as the beam continues hitting it and they saw it.
"Way to go, Twilight and Chase!" Applejack cheered and the villains ceased fire.
"What?!" Kai exclaimed in shock.
"It's not us!" Twilight said as Chase noticed something behind him and the others.
"Guys, there's something on the horizon!" Chase said as the others looked back as marching sounds were heard.
Then appearing on a hilltop was everyone and every kingdom. Of ponies, changelings, hippogriffs, griffons, yaks, dragons, and buffalos.
"Our allies of Equestria and beyond are here! But how?" Sokka asked in shock and awe.
Suddenly, half of the army charged towards the villains and some of the Pegasus quickly placed a fog layer around them as all the creatures rushed pass the Mane Sixteen, Grazer, Santos, Jewel, and Spike, as some Changelings changed into the group of heroes. The magic shield lifts up with the heroes off the ground.
"Don't let them escape!" Tirek yelled.
"Which ones?!" Cozy got on his head and looked around.
All of a sudden, the yaks started stomping the ground, making them struggle to stand as dragons, griffons and Hippogriffs flew around Cozy, and she soon twirls around like a top.
They started firing at every direction as the magic shield lands on the hilltop and git rew larger surrounding them all.
"The changelings won't fool them forever." Thorax said. "And I don't know how long the unicorns' shield will hold."
"I don't understand." Twilight said as she and Chase were looking at the fight below. "How are you all here?"
"Why are you all here?" Chase asked in confusion and surprise. "And how did you get past the Quinkan all these months?"
"That's kinda our fault." Gallus said and they turned to the Young Nine.
"You know those long lectures about friendship you gave at school?" Smolder asked.
Flashback
The Windigos continue circling as the Earth ponies rushed off when Sandbar got out a crate and stood on it.
"We all know the story of Hearth's Warming Eve!" Sandbar said, gaining everypony's attention. "We can defeat the windigos together!"
"You really think if we all sing a couple songs, everything will be fine?" Berryshine said.
"It's not just singing that saved the founders of Equestria!" Sandbar said. "It's what it represented!"
(Scene changes)
In the School of Magic, Raspberry was doing something similar.
"Earth ponies, unicorns, and Pegasi becoming friends!" Raspberry said and the other unicorns turned to each other.. "We learned at Twilight and Chase's school that friendship is the most powerful magic there is!"
(Scene changes)
At Cloudsdale, Hyper speaks to the other Pegasus.
"Focusing on our differences keeps us divided!" Hyper said. "Villains and creatures like the windegos and the Quinkan use that division against us!"
(Scene changes)
In Yakyakistan, Yona was also giving a speech to her fellow yaks about the friendship that they made with the ponies, and how it made them stronger.
"Yaks strong. Ponies strong. But yaks and ponies stronger together! Yaks must be loyal to pony friends!" Yona said to the other yaks.
(Scene changes)
Even in the Dragon Lands, Smolder was determined to unite dragons with ponies for the first time.
"I know helping other creatures by being kind and generous sounds lame." Smolder said to the other dragons. "But I've seen how powerful it can be! Plus, Chase and his family saved us from time to time fighting off the Quinkan and we owe them for that!"
(Scene changes)
"Playing together!" Gallus said to the other griffons in Griffonstone. "Singing together! Even laughing together! That's what real heroes look like! And right now, Chase and his family need us to defend all of Equestria by any means possible from Zhao's army!"
(Scene changes)
"Were we really happy by ourselves at the bottom of the ocean?" Silverstream said to the other Seaponies including Novo and Skystar. "Be honest! It's the ponies that showed us a better way! And we need to stop the Quinkan before they conquer our home to honor Chase and his family!"
(Scene changes)
"They've taught us how powerful love, Bravery, and the Magic of Friendship truly is!" Ocellus said to the other Changelings at the hive. "We can't let them stand alone! We're their friends! They need us! And we need to stop Zhao and his army before they take over the world!"
(Scene changes)
In the underground from Chase, Twilight, Spike, Sunray, and Jade's adventures, all of the united kingdoms had joined Korra, Mako, and Bolin to prepare the war.
"We do this for the Elite Ninja after everything they've done for us to stop Zhao for good. Now it's our turn to bring the fight to the Quinkan." Korra said to all of the kingdoms with a determined look. "And this time, we're not hiding in fear! Are you all with us?"
The kingdoms of Equestria and beyond cheered in response, ready to end the Quinkan threat once and for all.
"Then let's get ready and bring the fight to those spirit monsters." Mako said as the citizens of Equestria and beyond continued to cheer.
Flashback ends
We return back to reality as the Young Nine beamed happily as Twilight was in tears of pride while Chase smiled at their students proudly.
"How 'bout that?" Applejack said as she smiled. "It's just like you said the day we opened that school."
"The more creatures who know about friendship, the safer we'll be." Spike said.
"We told you we had it all figured out!" Pinkie said.
Chase and Twilight smiled, but then a Changeling suddenly hits the shield as they turn to see Soarin hitting the shield as well. Then Minuette, Twinkleshine and Lyra lost concentration of her magic. And soon the shield disappeared.
"Oh no! The shield is down!" Sokka said in alarm.
Meanwhile, the villains were stilling fighting blind through the fog.
"ENOUGH!" Kai angrily roared and then Tirek slams a fist into the ground as it knocks everyone off their feet. They all turned to everyone of the hilltop. "KILL THEM ALL!"
They charged towards them, but then suddenly Twilight and Chase each fired a beam at the ground causing them to stop.
"ENOUGH!" Twilight yelled as she and Chase hovered in the air. "Because of you, we almost lost my way! But everycreature here has reminded us of the true power of friendship!"
"You think friendship will win every time?!" Kai roared furiously as half of the army regrouped with the rest. "There will always be creatures like us to come to fight!"
"That maybe true and there will always be darkness in the world, but there will also always be those who find the light!" Chase said as he and Twilight glowed.
(Scene changes)
In the cavern, Somnambula, Flash and Rockhoof glowed and disappeared.
"The Pillars knew this!" Twilight's voice said as Starlight, Celestia, Luna, and Lightning Dust glowed and disappeared as well. "That's why they created the Elements of Harmony!"
Soon the other Pillars vanished as Discord waited but felt sad and then glowed and vanished.
(Scene changes)
In the courtyard, the White Lotus clan ninjas glowed as well before they disappeared too. Unknown to them, Zhao had just witnessed everything and smirked evilly as he began to use his magic to summon the black mist of the volcanoes from the Netherworld.
(Scene changes)
Soon, the clan, Celestia, Luna, Starlight, Discord, and Lightning Dust appeared with everyone else. The Pillars appeared in the air by Twilight and Chase as Rockhoof returns to his true form.
"The Elements showed me, my husband, and my friends how strong our friendship could be!" Twilight continued. "Together we worked to bring harmony to Equestria!"
Then the five girls of the Mane Sixteen and Spike glowed as they floated up. Nyx, Jade, Sunray, Trini, Antonio, Sokka, and Clay glowed as they too floated in the air.
"But there will always be more to do!" Chase said. "Which is why we teach others about the Magic of Friendship! Others who will continue our mission after we are gone!"
Then the Young Nine glowed and joins them.
"Now I truly understand!" Twilight said as the entire army of Equestria and beyond watched with smiles of hearing Twilight and Chase's speech. "The Elements were just symbols! The real magic has always been right here! And the more who understand how powerful friendship is, the stronger we will all be! Together!"
Chase and Twilight's eyes each glowed white. Then the Pillars send rainbow magic as well as the Young Nine, the five girls and Spike as well as the Elite Ninja, Sokka, and Clay as the ones with the elemental powers each shot a combination of water, fire, earth, and wind as they joined up to the royal alicorn couple.
Twilight and Chase each fire a white beam as a rainbow beam swirled around and shot up high in the sky and cleared the clouds and the Windegos disappeared with the Golden Dragon surrounded by the rainbow beam appearing, roaring out.
"This is bad, isn't bad?" Cozy asked fearfully as Tirek and Chrysalis gazed the Golden Dragon scared.
The Golden Dragon fired a rainbow beam as it shot higher and then it shot down straight towards them.
Kai growled as he and Tai Lung tried to run, but the beam hits the ground over Chrysalis, Cozy and Tirek as it knocked their two partners out. In the process, the three jewels that contained Pakku, Bumi, and Iroh Kai had attached to his chains fell off.
They glowed before they formed a magical mist as the three leaders of the White Lotus Clan appeared as they breathed heavily and they turned to see the Mane Sixteen, the Young Nine, and the Pillars finishing off the villains as they smiled proudly at them for returning.
Soon the villains lost all magic from the bell as it drops to the ground. In no time, the rainbow beam disappears with the Golden Dragon as Cozy drops to the ground back to normal and rubs her head. Tirek as well was back to his weak state as Chrysalis too was back to normal.
Chase, Twilight, and the others landed on the ground as Chrysalis growled at the alicorn couple with ferocity while Cozy and Tirek nervously backed away from them.
"You think friendship will save you two?!" Chrysalis yelled out in absolute rage. "We will always return! Nothing will ever stop-!"
SPLAT!
Suddenly, a giant cupcake landed on top of them, shutting Chrysalis up, and then it started raining chocolate milk as Spike licks it.
"Chocolate rain?" Spike said as he and the others curiously frowned.
They turned to see Sunset Shimmer, Santos, Jewel, Celestia, Luna, Starlight, Grazer, and Lightning Dust joining them as well as Discord as they turn to him.
"Don't look at me!" Discord said.
"Well, if it wasn't you then who was it?" Chase asked curiously.
As if he got his answer, the real culprit appeared as Pinkie vibrated while holding the bell and they all turned to her.
"Pinkie! You took Discord's magic from the bell?!" Twilight said baffled. "How do you feel?"
"Hmmm... Tingly." Pinkie said. "Itchy. Also like..." Suddenly she grew as big as 6 story building. "I COULD TRANSFORM THE COSMOS SO EVERYTHING IS MADE OF ICING!"
They looked at her baffled.
"Wow. Now I know why it's impossible for any other creature to control Discord's magic." Chase said.
"Perhaps maybe I should..." Discord said.
Discord flew up as he grabs the Bell, aims it at Pinkie, and it took back the chaos magic. In the process, Pinkie shrinks back to her normal size in mid-air and then she fell as Twilight caught her.
"You okay, Pinkie?" Chase asked with concern.
"Waiter!" Pinkie said dizzily as he eyes were swirls. "There's some chaos in my soup!"
Chase stared at her for a moment with the others before they smirked in amusement.
"She's back to normal." Chase said as Twilight giggled.
Discord aims the bell at him as he got his chaos magic back and snaps his fingers as a demon pineapple appeared. Then he got to Celestia and Luna as it returns them their magic. Suddenly, Tirek, Cozy and Chrysalis finally crawled out from the cupcake as Celsetia and Luna stood by them.
"There isn't a punishment worthy for all you've done!" Celestia said angrily as she and Luna glared at them.
Then two Discords whispered into Celestia and Luna's ear.
"You know what I would do if I were..." Discord whispered and it grew indistinct as Celestia and Luna glanced at each other.
"Oh. That does seem fitting." Luna said, agreeing with Discord.
"May I help?" Discord asked with a pleading smile along with his other half.
"Please?" Discord 2 begged.
Then the three fired beams at them as the cupcake broke apart.
Electrical sparks appeared around them, and then Cozy stared turning to stone, as well as Tirek, and even Chrysalis as she snarled and tries to lunge at them. The three formed into a statue.
"Together forever." Discord said as he approaches the statue and flicks Chrysalis' horn. "I can't think of anything that they would want less!"
Sokka laughed happily as the others turned to him.
"Alright, we're saved!" Sokka said happily as Fluttershy giggled.
"We're not done yet, buddy. We've still got Zhao to deal with. This was only the first part." Chase said, reminding the others as they turned to him and nodded in agreement with serious glares. "We need to get to Canterlot and stop him now."
"Wait!" Discord said, stopping the group as they turned to see him having a guilty yet serious look on his face. "There's something I need to say first."
Celestia nodded as Discord approached Chase and Twilight with deep regret.
"Chase, Twilight, this was all my fault. If I hadn't eves dropped on you back at the castle in Canterlot, none of this would've happened." Discord said guilty.
"Yeah, we knew you would pull something as reckless as this and weren't thinking clearly for all the trouble you had caused us." Chase said firmly as he and the others glared at Discord sternly.
"It doesn't matter. For the first time in my life, I am thinking clearly. You were right all along, I'm not your friend. I'm just a villain, a stupid little insignificant villain who does more harm than good. I had to do this because after you and Twilight were done being Celestia's students, you wouldn't have another teacher to help you when you became the royal couple long ago. But instead I completely blew it all and messed everything up. I held you all back ruined your lives and I'm sorry." Discord said sadly, guilty, and regretfully.
The others stared at him for a moment before Chase approached the now nervous Discord with a serious look.
"If there's one thing I'm good at being a good friend…" Chase started firmly before he smiled. "It's that I'm a very forgivable pony."
"So am I." Twilight added with a smile as the others smiled at Discord as well, making him smile back and gives them a friendly hug for their forgiveness.
Suddenly, slow clapping was heard, making them freeze before they turned to see Kai clapping his hands slowly with an evil smirk.
"Nice. Very touching." Kai said sinisterly and stopped clapping.
The group glared at him angrily.
"Give it up, Kai! It's over!" Sunray said angrily, only for him and the others to become more confused as Kai gave out a low chuckle.
"Oh, I don't think so. It's only the beginning." Kai said as he throw some smoke bombs to the ground, forming a cloud of mist around him and Tai Lung.
When it cleared away, they were gone as the others were confused and cautious about this.
Suddenly the sky became dark again with forming black clouds as the heroes and their allies looked up to see orange lightning clashing in the sky.
"Oh no, he's right." Santos said with concern and realized. "This was all a distraction for us to get rid of the three worst villains in Equestria."
"And if Zhao has something to do with this, that means…" Jewel added with concern in her voice.
"He's bringing the Quinkan army now." Jade finished with a look of horror.
Then Rockhoof noticed something heading their way and widened his eyes in horror.
"Chase!" Rockhoof shouted and pointed ahead. "Here they come! Thousands of them!"
The Mane Sixteen, the rest of the Pillars, the Young Nine, Celestia, Luna, Discord, Pakku, Bumi, Iroh, Lightning Dust, Spike, Sunset, and Nyx turned to where Rockhoof was pointing.
They saw that Rockhoof was right as many more Quinkan soldiers from before were charging at them. In fact, this was the whole army, causing Twilight and Case to gasp in shock. The soldiers roared viciously while charging at the army of Equestria and their allies.
"We must defend our way to get to Canterlot." Pakku said as he and the others glared at the army, ready for a fight. "Even if it costs us our lives."
Chase, his family, and friends got on the offense as the alicorn stallion lit his horn, aura hands replacing his front hooves, spun his katana swords around, and crouched low.
"Let's do it!" Chase said, determined.
The army of the Quinkan monsters kept on running towards the heroes and their allies while they growled as the war for the Equestrian world had just begun.

Here's chapter 28 with the first part of The Ending of The Ending remake. I did a few twists and surprises for this as well, especially for what Lightning Dust went through and to make her come to her senses. I'll be back to write the other chapters for this arc. I hope you enjoy this one.
