"So that's your story. A guy in a green hood and a girl in white flew in and took out three armed kidnappers." Detective Lance said, skeptically

Oliver nodded. Detective Lance looked at Tommy, Sara, and Laurel, who nodded as well.

"I mean, who are they? Why would they do that?" Detective Lance asked

Oliver shrugged.

"I don't know. Find them and you can ask." Oliver said

Detective Lance nodded as he handed the sketch of the two vigilantes to his partner.

"Yeah. It's funny, isn't it? One day back, and already somebody's gunning for you. Aren't you popular?" Detective Lance asked Oliver

Moira looked at the man with distaste.

"Were you able to identify the men?" Moira asked

"Scrubbed identities, untraceable weapons. These were pros." Detective Hilton said

"Yeah. Well, they probably figured you'd pay a king's ransom to get your boy back or a Queen's ransom, as it were. After all, a parent would do anything to keep their child safe." Detective Lance said, snidely

He turned to look at Oliver and Tommy in distaste. Oliver held the detective's glare.

"I don't find your tone appropriate, Detective." Moira said

"If Oliver, Sara, Laurel, or Tommy can think of anything else, they'll be in touch. Thank you, gentlemen, for coming." Walter said

He stood and shook hands with the detectives. Detective Lance chuckled as he stopped in front of Oliver.

"Your luck never seems to run out, does it?" Detective Lance asked

"Dad..." Sara and Laurel warned

Oliver said nothing and the detectives walked out of the mansion. They met Malcolm Merlyn near the door, who ignored them and entered the living room in a rush.

"Oh my God, Tommy!" Malcolm said, in an overdramatic tone

Oliver merely stood up as Malcolm took his place on the couch.

"What happened? Are you all right?" Malcolm asked

Oliver fixed a drink as Tommy shifted slightly, Laurel placed her hand on top of Tommy's in comfort.

"You just missed the story, Dad." Tommy said, sarcastically

"It was nothing Mr. Merlyn. Just a few kidnappers who thought they could pull some money from you and Mom. This Hood guy and girl in white came and saved us." Oliver said

"I came here as soon as I could. I was in a meeting so I didn't take the call..." Malcolm started

Tommy looked at Oliver before Malcolm could complete his sentence.

"Am I supposed to be surprised?" Tommy asked

"Tommy." Sara said, in a warning tone

Moira shifted slightly as tense atmosphere descended in the room.

"Tommy, I am trying to be responsible here..." Malcolm started

"That would be a first." Tommy said

He stood up and walked out of the room. Oliver, Sara, and Laurel rushed after him.

Upstairs, in their room, Oliver, Sara, and Laurel found Tommy pacing around the room.

"Are you alright?" Laurel asked, concern evident

"I will be." Tommy said

His face hardened.

"We have other problems though." Tommy said

"The kidnapping. It changes things." Sara said

"We're going to have to move up our plans." Oliver added

"We are." Tommy agreed

As hours passed, Oliver and Laurel found themselves in their office researching Adam Hunt as Tommy did one-hand pushups behind them and Sara did sit-ups. Oliver felt a shirtless and rather sweaty Tommy come up behind him, bending down to stare at the screen. Oliver threw a shirt from near to Tommy who caught it with a smirk.

"Adam Hunt." Oliver said

"How bad is he?" Sara asked

She was laying on the floor, having finished her sit-up set.

"His crimes go deeper than fraud and theft, but he's been able to bully, bribe, or kill anyone who's gotten into his way." Laurel said

Tommy stood up straight and clapped Oliver on his shoulder.

"Well, he hasn't met you and Sara yet." Tommy said

Oliver finally looked up as Tommy walked to the door, pulling down a T-shirt.

"Are you sure you're okay with not going out yet?" Oliver asked

"Yeah, besides who's gonna be here to save your asses if Laurel and I don't?" Tommy asked

Laurel looked back at Tommy and grinned. Oliver narrowed his eyes as Tommy grinned. Picking up a random thing from his desk, he threw it at Tommy. Tommy caught it easily.

"Seriously Queen? You gotta do better than that!" Tommy teased

"It's Queen-Merlyn, get it right." Oliver corrected

He rolled his eyes playfully and the door opened. Tommy turned, to see Raisa holding a huge platter.

"Hey, Raisa." Oliver greeted

Laurel and Sara smiled over at the maid. Tommy, as always put on a cheerful smile and pressed a kiss on Raisa's cheek.

"Your food is in your room." Raisa informed

She gave the Merlyn boy a motherly smile, causing Tommy to grin more.

"Oh, how well you know me!" Tommy said

He grabbed Sara's hand, winking in Oliver and Laurel's direction, and walked out.

"Take a bath Mr. Tommy! And you too, Ms. Sara" Raisa called

Raisa turned to look at Oliver.

"You are different." Raisa said

Oliver raised an eyebrow.

"Not like you to read a book." Raisa added

Oliver immediately looked down where he spotted the book. Putting up a smile, he just shook his head, put the book in his drawer, and closed the screen of his computer. Laurel followed suit, closing her computer.

"I missed you, Raisa." Oliver said

"No kitchen on the island." Raisa said, jokingly

"No." Oliver said

"Not many friends either." Laurel added

Oliver walked over to Raisa and took the tray out of her hands. He placed it on an empty spot on the desk.

"Thank you." Oliver said

He placed the tray on an empty spot on the desk.

"Do I really seem different?" Oliver asked

"No. You are still a good boy." Raisa said

"Oh, I think we both know I wasn't!" Oliver corrected, playfully

"But a good heart." Raisa said

"I hope so. I want to be the person you always told me I could be." Oliver said

The enxt morning, Oliver and Laurel exited the mansion. Tommy and Sara were still finishing getting ready. Tommy had a nightmare but thankfully it had only woken his spouses.

"Oliver!" Moira called

Oliver and Laurel walked over to the Queen matriarch. Walter and a tall, well-built man stood next to her.

"I'd like to introduce you to somebody. This is John Diggle. He will be accompanying you from now on." Oliver said

"I don't need a babysitter." Oliver said

He looked over at John.

"No offense." Oliver said

"None taken, sir." John replied, calmly

"Darling, Oliver's a grown man. If he doesn't feel the need for armed protection…" Walter started

He was interrupted by Moira.

"I understand, but this is something I need." Moira said

Before Oliver could argue, Tommy appeared on his side. Sara stood next to Laurel.

"Whoa buddy, ready to- say, who's that guy?" Tommy asked

"Our babysitter." Oliver answered

"He is not your babysitter. Tommy, I would like you to meet John Diggle. He will be your bodyguard." Moira said

As Moira turned away, Tommy leaned closer to Oliver's ear.

"Why is he so serious?" Tommy asked

"Do I look like I know?" Oliver said

He walked over to the car, annoyed, followed by a overly cheerful Tommy. Sara and Laurel exchanged bemused looks before following after their husbands.
