Ibarra, Yui, and Itsuka stood before their agency, looking up at the building in big lettering. It read Expanding Horizons; after Itsuka had proposed Sisterhood, Izuku had kindly pointed out that S.A. would be an unfortunate abbreviation and that it may make any male heroes who wanted to join them or work there feel excluded.

Ibarra stood there with one arm around Izuku and the other resting on her pregnant belly; Mei was in the same position. Their parents and friends had come out to celebrate with them, turning it into an impromptu reunion; they all were having fun seeing Aizawa there, clean-shaven, appropriately dressed, and bright-eyed, as he smiled and laughed more than any of them could remember. When he was sitting on the bench outside with Hizashi next to him, they both had tears in their eyes as they fussed over Mina's baby, Nemuri. They were fussing over the girl and telling stories of her namesake, whispering things that made the baby giggle and babble.

Mei and Ibarra took a seat as their spouses and fathers fussed over every movement. Mei and Itsuka had opted for a small wedding officiated by Vlad King. It was a simple, quiet affair, with their friends and family present. Mei had gotten pregnant about a month before Ibarra, who once she was off her birth control was pregnant almost immediately. Neither of them could have been happier, except maybe Inko or Ibarra's parents, who were buying a house in the city to be near their grandchild.

Eri, hoping to get some relaxation time, was being quizzed and questioned by every one about her studies and training; all her new aunts had been running the girl and her friend Inari rough. The most peculiar thing that occurred was when Katsuki encountered Suijin. No one expected it, but they were soon dating, him on the way to being what Suijin called her lucky number 10.

Izuku had heard that Katsuki, his charming self, was pushing the girls hard in training; Suijin criticized him. He told her to shut up, and she hit him with a pool's worth of water. Inari found them sucking face, as she put it that night. Loud and brash was a great way to describe them. Izuku smiled, seeing his friend happy; he could see how they cared for each other. It was little gestures, Suijin bringing him coffee or him making sure she was served first and eating before he would even consider food for himself, even creating a position for her at his agency so they could be together more.

It was life, and life was good.

On a warm August morning, Akemi Midoriya was born, 7 pounds 11 ounces. Izuku was unsure why that last information was necessary, but all of Ibarra's sisters asked for that detail. Akemi meant faith, which was significant for Ibarra but also necessary for Izuku. He had lived most of his life believing things would improve or be alright. After he was diagnosed as quirkless, finding and saving Eri, he would find someone to his partner one day, and they would have a family together.

Ibarra and he agreed that she would share her faith with any children but, ultimately, allow them to make their own choices about whether it was right. Izuku would go to church with her on significant holidays. It was nice. The people were very friendly, and he even made friends with some of the husbands who had gotten him into fishing.

Of course, Itsuka and Mei were there with their son Isamu Kendo; his bright pink hair with green streaks was on display as he was introduced to his half-brother. It had been a long conversation between the four as they sat down and worked out the details; Ibarra and Izuku would be his godparents, and when the question inevitably came up, they would make sure he was old enough to understand where he came from. The kids would be raised as cousins to make things simple; Izuku and Mei would have it no other way. Mei insisted that the second person to hold him was Izuku.

Hina Hiro sat on the floor of her cell and wept the photo of Izuku and Ibarra holding their newborn baby; the card had arrived in her mail.

One slight problem…

Ibarra enjoyed sex; not a problem.

She particularly enjoyed the sex they had when they were trying to conceive. So much so that Izuku missed a few days at the café because his wife would not let him leave. She would let him go but lure him back to her.

Ibarra was practically insatiable in her desire for her husband, so much so that 11 months later, on July 5th, Ai Midoriya was born, Akemi's little sister. Izuku had to remind her that she had been strictly in office for the entirety of her new agency to get her to stop chasing him down for a third child. It was fun to watch her pout; it was even more fun in the bedroom.

When the time came, Ibarra and Izuku drove Eri to the entrance exams, and Izuku refused to leave till she came out. Ibarra watched as he paced and fretted when other students came out, wondering where she was. Ibarra calmed her husband by telling him it was probably those not trying out for the hero course. When she came out, she made sure he didn't run and smother her or bombard her with questions, mainly when she emerged later than nearly everyone else.

She looked exhausted; Ibarra remembered that feeling; she remembered when she stepped onto the ground of U.A. and all the dreams and promises it had carried. Then, the nightmare that came with it made her heart pound; she had nightmares the night before, and it wasn't until Izuku pulled her close that the nightmares stopped. Death, terror, and destruction had rained down on them for that first year, but they had survived. Then they all vowed to go to work, that it would never happen again. The fallout had ensured that it would be a hard road, that pockets of chaos would hold, and they would have to root them out. But they did; she could say that the world was better now than when she took the exams.

Eri hugged them both and just wanted food. She told them about her exam after they got her something to eat. She was testing for entry to the U.A., their medical program, and the hero course. That was what had caused her to run so late. She talked about the horror that was the robot villains, search and rescue victims, and crowd control. She felt good about all of them, but she struggled with crowd control. Her physical and quirk training from her family made her feel confident that she would earn one of the 60 seats. Inari did well; she talked with her after the first practical. Eri just wanted to go home and maybe be pampered by her parents. She was looking forward to some alone time with her siblings at their grandparents' house for the night. When she got in, she would be moving out of her home to the dorms at U.A., Terrified but excited.

Izuku, of course, was wondering why they had to wait so long to get the acceptance letters; it had been two days. When it finally came, she ran to her room to open it; Izuku was holding his breath, and then he heard her scream that she had gotten in and Uncle Mirio would be her homeroom teacher. Eri Midoriya was officially accepted to the U.A. Hero and Medical course, class 1-A. After tears and hugs, when Eri's phone rang, it was Inari. The scream that escaped Eri's lips Izuku swore made dogs go deaf.

Ibarra did her best not to cry, but Eri and Izuku were a wall of tears on the day they had to take her to the dorms; they had managed to get themselves under control by the time they arrived, but not by much. Ibarra marveled at the enormous dorms of all 60 hero course students; Cementos had outdone himself this time. After Izuku made her promise to come home every Sunday, they finally left to let her begin the next chapter in her life.

There was the silent fear that Izuku carried as he watched his children grow, watching Isamu and Akemi approaching their fourth birthday. He prayed, with everything, that they would get a quirk. He wasn't as worried about Ai. She had hair like her mother, and by the time she was three, honest-to-goodness flowers had shown up.

Itsuka was pregnant; she had opted for a different donor, choosing a dear friend of hers, Tetsu. The metal quirk man had been more than happy to help out his friends. Another boy, Raion Kendo, was on his way. Isumu had manifested his quirk earlier when it was discovered that the boy had a 360-degree vision, making Izuku anxious about his son.

Then it happened: it was Christmas Eve, and the Christmas tree almost burned down when Akemi had been drinking his soda quite a bit faster than he should as he and Isamu were having a burping contest with Shinko, much to Ibarra's and Seinaru's displeasure. But when Aizawa walked by and took the lead, there was no stopping it. Then, Inko chastised him, but he just laughed and played innocent. In the heat of this contest, when Akemi burped, he held his stomach afterward, and what came out was not a second burp but a green torrent of fire that nearly lit the Christmas tree on fire. Akemi Midoriya, quirk Dragon Fire.

It was one of the best Christmases ever, though Inko did have to explain where the fire quirk came from.

That's Life

Izuku sat with Ibarra leaning against him. The house was silent, and the presents were out under the tree with a nice glass of wine.

"Are you happy?" she asked, her hand on his chest as she gazed at the tree's twinkling lights.

"Deliriously," he said. "I tried not to think about it but was afraid he wouldn't get a quirk. I know he would be loved and supported no matter what, but it is a hard life."

"I could tell you were anxious," she sighed. "But he got one. He almost burned down the Christmas tree, but he got one." They both laughed. "Izuku, I want more children."

"The house is full," Izuku responded, "but I like the thought of more."

"Then let's buy a house," Ibarra said, sitting up. "We can afford more children; with the café and my hero salary, it would be tight, but I still have the money my grandparents left me; it would more than supplement anything we need; the account has just been getting larger over the past ten years. Also, my endorsement deals have been steadily getting better."

"I would say something about being the man and wanting to provide for my family, but I have seen your pay," he laughed. "That ship sailed a long time ago."

"Honestly, I only want to do heroics for another 12 years. I want to retire and live life for myself instead of splitting it," Ibarra said.

"Fully retire?"

"From active duty," Ibarra replied. "It would give me 20 years; I think that is enough. My entire life was heroics till the day I met you. I still love heroics, but not like I did, not like I love you and the children. I want us to be still able to have adventures together, spontaneous vacations, and enjoy family life. If we don't have to work our whole lives, then let's not and enjoy life."

"Okay," he said. Ibarra's eyes lit up. "Let's look for a house. Once we find one and move, how about you and I make a baby."

Ibarra straddled his lap; she kissed him hungrily, "How about we practice?" she giggled and threw her arms around his neck when he lifted her, carrying her to the bedroom.

Izuku and Ibarra

As they talked about, they found a house with six bedrooms, and her parents paid for half of it before either could protest. Inko and Aizawa married, and Ibarra gave birth to another little girl, Hana Midoriya. Ai's quirk was just like her mother's, but she could enlarge the vines she used. Hana could control plants. Mei's second child with Izuku, a daughter Ayaka, could control fire. Their third and final child and another girl could make things explode; she loved to make things explode; of course, her name was Megumin.

Eri graduated, became a pro hero, worked part-time at U.A. as Recovery Girl, and finally retired. She had met and fell in love with a boy named Kota while attending school. They were married two years after graduation, and a few months later, she was pregnant with her first child. She named him after her father.

In the end, neither of the seven children Izuku had with Ibarra nor the three he had with Mei were born quirkless. His greatest fear never came to pass. Ibarra and he were blessed in so many ways. When it came time for Ibarra to retire, he sold control of the shop and the building to one of his employees, who made him a fair offer.

Ibarra and Izuku lived the rest of their days happy and fulfilled, surrounded by an ever-growing family. He watched as his children became pro heroes, Eri rising as high as the 5th-ranked hero in Japan. They traveled and had adventures worldwide; they loved each other endlessly. Till one night, both at the age of 102, they slipped away. They were surrounded by eight children, their spouses, 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren in each other's arms. They were laid to rest between her parents and his.

The life and love of Izuku and Ibarra Midoriya would be carried on by their children and their children's children—a lasting legacy of love.
