DM Jessica Down The Mine Chapter 1

It was a stormy night, the rain lashed down, the thunder boomed, the lighting flashed. High winds swept across the suburbs and the city. Trees were blown down, a water tower fell over, and the roof blew right of a barn. In Gru's house, everyone was fast asleep not letting the outside weather get to them. They all slept as they normally did under their duvets with their heads on their pillows, expect for Lucy who was lying on her stomach on top of her duvet. She was exposed in her bare buttocks, legs and feet and only wearing a white t shirt. She moved as the thunder rolled. ''Mmm...Gru, we're not on our honeymoon...'' grunted Lucy in her sleep and snoring loudly. The storm continued all night long.

The next day, the storm was over. Gru woke up, he got out of bed and went to open the curtains. He saw the mess the storm made last night. ''OH MY LORD!'' he hollered, ''WHAT'S HAPPENED OUT THERE?!''. Then Lucy woke up too. ''Gru, why'd you woke the entire house?'' she yawned. ''Lucy! The storm has made a terrible mess!'' exclaimed Gru. He noticed his wife was half naked, ''And you have no pants''. Lucy looked down and shrieked. She fell off the bed with a thud. She quickly got dressed. Later that morning the girls looked at the mess outside caused by the storm. ''This is a disaster!'' said Margo.

''This is awesome!'' said Edith. ''EDITH!'' said Margo. ''Sorry'' subsided Edith. Meanwhile, over at the farm, Jackson and Jillian's parents James and Jayla were looking up at the damaged barn. ''I must fix the roof right away'' said James, ''Or the animals will be cold the next night''. Over at Jillian's house, she was talking to Lucy on the phone. ''Would Margo, Edith and Agnes like to come hiking with us? We're taking Jessica's cousin Joshua too'' she said. ''I'm sure they would'' replied Lucy, ''I'll tell them right away'' and that was just what she did. The girls were very excited. Jillian, Jessica and Joshua soon arrived at Gru's house. Jillian rang the doorbell.

Lucy opened the front door. ''Mom can Kyle, Blondie and Lucky come too?'' asked Margo. ''Well if it's all right with Jillian'' replied Lucy. ''Of course they can'' smiled Jillian. Jessica and Joshua were delighted to spend the day with the dogs and goat. They drove out into the country with Joshua's dad, Jackson with some fishing rods so they could go fishing at the stream. He and Jillian had also made a picnic for them all to share. After they had parked the car and eaten their picnic, they set up the fishing gear. After they'd been fishing for a while, Jessica accidently hit a bee's nest in a tree with her rod! She gasped as the bees buzzed angrily. She started to run with the bees chasing after her. ''No! No, no, no! Get away from me!'' cried Jessica. She ran as fast as she could until finally the bees seemed to have given up.

''Phew!'' puffed Jessica as she stumbled through some deep grass, ''I think I've lost them''. Suddenly the ground gave way beneath her and she fell down a hole into a deep pit. ''Whoa!'' cried Jessica as she plunged downwards and landed with a THUD! ''Ow!'' she yelped. Jessica could hear the sounds of dripping water echoing nearby. She opened her eyes and saw the hole of light where she had come down and next to her was a tunnel leading off into the darkness with the roof being supported by wooden beams. Jessica slowly started to heave herself to her feet. ''Help!'' she called, but then a jarring pain shot through her foot causing her to collapse back down again.

''OW! Ahhh… my foot!'' she groaned and winced. Jessica sniffled and blinked back tears. ''I'll never see daylight again'' she said, putting her arm over her eyes to hold herself back from crying. Back out in the open up on the surface, everyone was wondering where Jessica had gone. ''She was being chassed by some bees'' said Margo, ''But I don't see her anymore''. ''Oh! Where is my vulnerable child?!'' said Jillian worriedly. ''She can't have gone far'' said Jackson. ''Come on Dad, let's go and find her'' said Joshua. When they came to the long grass where Jessica had been, Blondie pricked up her ears. ''Do you hear something Blondie?'' asked Margo. ''I do!'' said Edith, ''Listen!''.

When they all stood quietly they could hear a faint shout, ''Help! Help!''. Blondie ran ran off, when she got to the hole she barked as if to say ''Over here!''. ''Quick it's coming from over there!'' said Edith running towards Blondie. ''Help!'' cried the voice again. ''It's Jessica!'' said Agnes. They all peered into the dark hole. ''Don't go too near the edge'' warned Jillian. ''Mom?!'' called out Jessica from down below. ''Look Dad, look Aunt Jillian, Jessica's fallen down this hole!''. ''Jessica! Are you all right?'' Jillian called back down to her daughter. ''No! My foot hurts!'' replied Jessica, ''And it's too steep for me to climb back out''. ''Don't worry darling'' said Jillian, ''We'll get help. I'll call Lucy and get her, Gru and Dru to come over here. They're bound to have some way to get you out of there''. Jillian got out her phone and made the call to Lucy who wasted no time when she heard about Jessica.

She summoned Gru and Dru. ''Gru! Dru! Jessica's in danger!'' said Lucy urgently. ''What's happened to her?'' asked Gru. ''She's fallen into a pit while hiking'' replied Lucy. ''Eet's probably dat old disused mine shaft'' said Gru, ''Better bring de oxygen mask and de gas detector, there could be no air down there''. ''You and Dru take the airship'' said Lucy, ''And I'll follow you in my three mode car''. Back down in the mine shaft, Jessica was getting restless. She coughed. Soon, Gru's airship and Lucy's three mode car appeared over the top of the hill where the road went over.

''Here comes Mom, Dad and Uncle Dru!'' said Margo loudly. Blondie wondered off to explore and sniff around. ''Hang on Jessica'' Jillian called down the hole, ''Lucy's on her way with Gru and Dru''. ''They'll know how to get you out safely'' added Jackson. The vehicles screeched to a halt near the hole and Gru, Dru and Lucy got out with their pieces of equipment. ''Right first thing is to prepare the gas detector and lower it into the hole to check for the amount of oxygen and any signs of poisonous gas'' said Lucy. Gru did so and lowered the gas detector into the mine shaft, then pulled it back up to check the results.
