"MOTHERFUCK-!" the yell got cut off by a loud thud as numerous teenagers land on the floor, miraculously not breaking anything important.
This would be something worth being grateful over if they were not too busy experiencing the pain of falling from hundreds of feet in the air.
"Where are we or, more specifically, why did we just randomly land in a movie theater?" Annabeth, observant as ever, noticed their surroundings and the oddity of the entire situation.
"You think we got kidnapped or something?" Leo exclaimed, oddly excited for the probably more sinister undertones of his question.
"Leo, if we weren't kidnapped, I don't think we'd be here. But why a movie theater" Percy responded.
"That would be me"
"AAAAAAAAH!" the booming voice resulted in a very…interesting sound coming from the hero of Olympus.
"That's hilarious. I should try that again later. But anyway, I kidnapped you and brought you here. Now I know what you're going to ask. Who am I? Not important. Why did I do it? For fun, fuck you. Is there a bathroom? Yeah it's on the other side of the theater, and no there's no exit so don't even try it. As for why it's a theater, that's cause I brought you here to come watch this with me. It's a set of alternate universes, featuring versions of you"
"Uh…okay? So what exactly makes if different from our own?" This came from Jason, level-headed on the outside while freaking out on the inside.
"Well I was getting to that, but basically there are no gods or monsters. Well, there are monsters, but only really the metaphorical kind, if you know what I mean. No, this story is your classic detective case, but different. It's more of a journey through a man's min-"
"Wait wait wait, so let me get this straight; there are different universes and some of them don't even have gods and monsters? Why are we just ignoring this?" Annabeth interrupted the voice, to its great irritation, with Piper nodding along.
"Because it's not important. Now shut up you're wasting time. And before anyone asks, you can get food just by thinking about it. It's like Camp Half-Blood or whatever the hell you losers are part of. But anyway, let's begin this"
