Chapter 23: Curseworld
Cinder looked at the shop in front of him. After getting the Sword of Sanctuary from Cloud Kingdom and getting away from Morro, they figured out what the last clue was. However they weren't safe from within the team as Ronin took off with the Sword and got away and then lied to where the tomb was at. The four ninja went to the Caves of Despair to find it but were led to a trap that al,ost got them killed. But Howe er Ronin saved them and gave them info about the true location of the tomb with his R.E.X. Then following after Morro went through the traps of the tomb until finding the tomb and the item the ghost was lost looking for: the Realm Crystal. But then they almost lost Lloyd after Morro left his body and threw him into the underground stream. But with Lloyd being freed from the ghost's possession the four ninja regain their elemental powers back. But it was futile as the ghost got away from them with the crystal but were relieved to get Lloyd back.
During all of this Nya was training her powers as the Water Ninja. She was learning slowly as she came nitrile it, but for Cinder he was able to used it easily after a few hours of practice. With them protecting the Bounty from possession by Morro's ghost allies near the to and were able to hold it off. Now the team headed back to the tea shop,
"Shouldn't we be going to Stiix? The longer we wait, the worse it'll get." Kai said annoyed
"We need to stock up." We said
"On what? Magic tea that will make us invincible? "Jay said excitedly and then gasped "Give us special powers? Is it gonna give us four arms?"
"Sadly, no magical tea today. I had to sell the rest of the merchandise along with everything else." Wu said
"What? You sold your business? But that was for your retirement." Zane questioned with worry. But then—-
"Ah! Hello again, ninja." Cyrus Borg said as the group came up. Cinder grinned at the man, but also saw a golden glow from a tree nearby. Looking over he sees his uncle in the tree and he flew over to the dragonet, landing in his horns.
"While we were away, I had Borg use the money from the tea farm to create us some new toys to balance the scales. They are expensive, you know." Wu explained as the group stopped in front of Cyrus by the shop's entrance. The
"It's been so long, I hardly recognize any of you. Lloyd looks older. I see a Water Ninja. A titanium Nindroid. Cinder with a dragonfly companion. Cole is a...a ghost? Huh."
Cole chuckles nervously and Sparx huffs in annoyance.
"Jay looks shorter. And, and then there's Kai."
"Hey, what do you mean I look shorter?" Jay squawked
"I'm sorry, Dr. Borg, but cut to the chase. We don't have much time." Kai said urgently
"Yes, always the impatient one. Come, let me show you." Cyrus said and pushed a button on a remote he held. The dial,in the ground in front of the shop opens up. Revealing three vehicles, one of them was Zane's mech but the other two were a bike and car. The car blue and bike black.
"If you want a little muscle with that hustle, I've made Jay a lightning-fast Ghost Taker GT. Front spectral intake, rear incorporeal storage." Cyrus said
"Oh, why did the Ghost cross the street? Oh, I don't know, maybe 'cause he saw me coming in!" Jay jokes with excitement as he gets in the vehicle and starts driving it.
"Zane's Ice Mech. Sure it appears to be the same, but I've equipped the underarms with Deepstone particle shooters, allowing you to freeze the competition." Cyrus continues
"Super cool. And I mean quite literally." Zane said smirking as he, too, jumped into his mech.
"Cole, I've made you a Ghost carbine blasters, auto-evasive handling. Made entirely of Deepstone, perfectly molded to fit the, uh...bodiless. And I've set all the radio presets to your favorite: soft rock." Cyrus concluded as Cole climbed onto the bike.
"I do love some slow jam." He turns on the radio. "Whoa!"
"And for you, Kai." Cyrustosses Kai a red headband.
"A headband?" Kai questioned
"A personal embroidered headband. Thirty-two thread count, easy tie capabilities. I apologize. I lost track of the time building the other vehicles. Eh, same goes for you, Lloyd and to you Cinder. To be honest, I wasn't entirely sure you'd be making it back." Cyrus said and looked at the dragonet. Cinder smiles at the man.
"Hey, you're good. I got something under my s asked to use against them."
"Hey, I'm just happy to be here. We'll take any help we can get." Lloyd said
"I hear Morro has opened a bridge between our two realms. It'll take time for the Preeminent to cross." Cyrus said
"Which is why we need Lloyd to use his powers to destroy the Realm Crystal before that happens. If Ninjago is cursed, the other realms are sure to follow." Wu stated
Nya: But they'll be expecting us. And Morro still has the Sword of Sanctuary. Even with all these fancy new vehicles, how are we supposed to get close?
"Yeah, we're supposed to take on an army of Ghosts?" Jay exclaimed
"Maybe I can lure him out. He said he always wanted to be the Green Ninja." Lloyd said
"No. He will not leave the Realm Crystal unguarded until his master is freed." Wu said firmly
"But even with our powers back, he's seen all of our moves." Cole said
"Then we'll show him something he hasn't: a Water Ninja." Kai said and looked at his sister.
"But I've just started my training. I haven't even found my True Potential." Nya said worriedly
"Nya, when our parents passed, you were there for me. Now, I'm here for you." Kai says putting a hand on her
"He's right. She's our greatest weapon." Cole said
"And as brother sharpens brother, the same should go for a sister." Zane said
"Our greatest power isn't what we can throw at him. It's what we have right here. A united team." Lloyd said and Cinder looked at her.
"You help me with training and having fun, I think it's time I return the favor."
"So, what do you think, Nya? Are you ready to lead them into battle?" Wu said and Nya thought it over but she already made her mind up.
"I'm in. But if they know we're coming straight for them, how about we show them not every path is a straight line?"
"Intrigued. Do you have a plan?" Zane said
"I'll explain on the way." Nya said as everyone got prepared for battle.

Cnder watched as everyone got into place. They have arrived in Stiix and were setting up the plan Nya made. The dragonet was up in the air watching as air support because of his size. He watched as "Lloyd" went through the streets as the others helped "him". However "he" was about to be spotted by a ghost dragon but Cinder used a water stream at it, but a ghost noticed this and called others to come. He listens to the conversation.
"Look what we have here." Soul Archer said
"The Green Ninja. So rude. Hasn't anyone told you it's not polite to be late to the party?" Morro said
"Now that we've got him, what do you want us to do with him?" Bansha questioned
"Surely it's not just you. I know your ninja are never far. Come out, come out, wherever you are. I have your beloved Green Ninja. You think you can come into my home and steal the Crystal I rightfully earned? You think I'll just hand it to you, just like the green gi was handed to you? Tell me. Tell all of us that I'm better than you, and I'll let you go. What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?" Morro says mockingly and pulls "Lloyd's" hood but under the hood wasn't the blonde, but Nya.
"Sorry, I couldn't hear you. I'm still a little wet behind the ears." Nya said as she created a water ball.
"She's a Water Ninja. She's... Protect the Realm Crystal!" Morro yelled to them as Nya starts destroying some Ghosts and then fights Morro. Cinder knew it was time to come in and went into a dive. His scythe blade was covered in a sleeve made of deepstone. So starts to do a vertical spin and spins and hits a few ghosts from it. Then he went out of it and went upwards at a 90 degree angle with his Wind.
"The ninja are winning. Get out there and stop them." Morro demanded
"Keep going, Lloyd. You're almost there.'" Wu shouted as Cinder shot water blasts at ghosts and dodged them gracefully through the air. The dragonet kept his mind focused as he tried to fight them or else get hit by them. He could see the others struggling a bit, with Zane and Cole were too preoccupied fighting off ghosts away from the others.
"He's too strong. I can't keep this going." Nya grunts as she tries to fight off the Wind Master.
"You have to, Nya. You can do it." Kai said but then runs off as the archer shoots an arrow at him. He then ziplines with his headband to escape Soul Archer's arrow. Then sees Jay having issues with his vehicle as a ghost's scythe gets stuck. But then Jay somehow released the ghosts he trapped within..
"Is that all? Is that all you've got?" Morro mocked but then
"HOOOOOOOWL!"
Morro was shoved forwards by a gust of wind and sees Cinder the one doing it. He sneers.
"You! So you know how to use my elemental power!? We'll see who's the better you stealer."
"Hnfm! Compared to you I was born with it rather than stealing it from ya." Cinder snarled as he released a ball of electricity at him and it exploded. Making the ghost go back from the explosion. Cinder just kept on throwing elemental breaths at him, he wasn't going to destroy him, just distract him until Lloyd gets the crystal. Lloyd was able to get in but Morro noticed this and went to the crystal quickly. Cinder tries to go at him but has to move back, his wings flapping rapidly to get him out of an attack from a ghost dragon.
"Leave! You can't stop us from releasing our master!"
"Well then, seeing how you're cursed, you're not a true dragon of your race."
The ghost dragon growled and roar, calling over others towards it and the dragonet. Surrounding him and they growled and snarled.
"If we're not worthy as dragons. Then we'll curse you as well, we have more experience and you're just a hatchling."
Cinder just laughs and the wind begins to pick up.
"You said I'm a hatchling? Well… then you underestimate my power."
Then he spins rapidly as a tornado forms. The ghost dragons were astonished and tried to get away from the vortex but the wind was too strong and they're sucked in. Cinder hit every single one within the tornado. After the tornado faded he dived down and landed on the ground panting. He trot over to Sensei and Misako as he watched the others go to Lloyd.
"Lloyd!"
Cinder heard Kai scream the green ninja's name as they tried to get in, but the doors and windows wouldn't budge. Suddenly a tentacle appeared from a window, and then another, and another. After a few minutes there were a multitude of tentacles waving around from the building.
"NOOOO!" Cinder could heard Zane yelled in despair as well as Nya's scream as the Preeminent was released, threatening to take over Stiix.n
"Lloyd couldn't destroy the Realm Crystal. The Preeminent has arrived." Wu said grimly
"But where's my son?" Misako questioned worryingly
"We need to evacuate everyone out of this town. Like, now!" Ronin demanded
"Hurry, on board!" Ronin shouted to the citizens.
"This way." Wu pointed
"Look, it's Lloyd!" Misako said but the Sensei looked and shook his head.
"That's not Lloyd." Ronin said
"It's Morro." Wu said as the ghost laughed.
"You were wrong about me, Sensei. You said destiny didn't want me to be the Green Ninja. Well, I make my own destiny. And now yours is coming to an end." Morro sad and sees Cinder. "As for your dragon. He's a pest to me and my master so I think I'd take him as my new host..l
Wu: You've released this scourge and it won't stop until it has cursed all Sixteen Realms. I trained you to be a ninja who protects, not one who destroys." Wu advisd as Cinder moves back and then jumped into the water.
"You made me believe I was to become the Green Ninja! Now I am!" Moore crackled as then the Preeminent grabs Misako.
"Wu!"
"Misako!"
"The more souls the Preeminent takes, the bigger she gets. Say goodbye to your loved ones, and say goodbye to Ninjago!" Morro said and flew off. Cinder came back up and shoots a stream of water at the limb holding Misako, which lets her go. The team worked on getting citizens to safety from the Preeminent's limbs. There was a paddle boat in the city and everyone were getting on it.
"I thought you were gonna get closer?" Nya exclaimed
"You don't think I'm trying?" Kai exclaims back but Wu shakes his head.
"It's too late. We have to get to the ship and protect the people."
"But what about Lloyd?" Jay asked
"Ugh. This is what Lloyd would've wanted." Misako said
"To the ship, but we're not leaving anyone else behind!" Kai said as then the Preeminent grabs Zane's mech, ejecting the Nindroid from it. Everyone was doing their on saving the citizens but with the ghost it was hard. Cinder was hitting ghosts left and right. Son the team was able to save all the citizens and get them to the boat.
"That's all of them. We need to get this ship to sea to put as much water between us as possible." Wu said
"No problem." Ronin cuts the rope with the Sword of Sanctuary. "Maybe one problem." Ronin said as Morro landed in front of him. The others were about to help him, but Ronin has got this and him and the Master of Wind, with Morro destroying the bridge of the boat. Nya turns to the captain.
"Is this as fast as it goes?" Nya questions but the captain nonchalantly says it's a paddle steamer and not a rocket ship. Meanwhile Ronin was disarmed by Morro and was about to be killed, but was saved.
"What?! You again?!" Morro growled as Lloyd came in. The young teenager stood in front of him, but instead of his civilian clothing but wearing his father's robes.
"Yeah, I'm back. I believe you have something of mine." Lloyd said as Morro looks at the crystal and attacks him. "Try this!" Dodges the attack.
"Yeah, all right, Lloyd!" Jay cheered
"Haha!" Kai exclaims
"Look! He got his father's robes." Wu said t Misako
"Go Lloyd!" Cinder warbled as the blonde turned to them.
"Ronin, get to the ship and protect the people. Ninja, take out the stilts. We need to drop the Preeminent into the sea."
"Ugh, why didn't we think of that earlier?" Jay said smacking his head
"That's why he's the leader." Cole said
"Ninja, go!" The four ninja shouted as they used Airjitzu to return to the city. Lloyd turns back to the ghost.
" Let me handle the blowhard."
"You think you're better than me? No one is better than me!" Morro demanded and the two started fighting. Cinder watched the fight between the two
"No, they're taking out the support beams!" The ghost yelled and then uses the Crystal to teleport behind Lloyd a couple times. He laughs evilly. "Protect the Preeminent! Protect the Realm!"
"Let's hope it can't swim." Wu prayed
"We need more speed." Ronin said
"I've gotta help the ninja." Nya said as she went off. Cnder nodded to her and stood next to Misako.
"Let me." Ronin said and pushed the captain away and maxed out the speed. The Preeminent throws a house, making a huge wave.
"It's okay. The ninja will stop it." Misako said to a child who was scared. Cinder whines and lays down next to her and allows her to pet his head. Purring contentedly even though they're in a dire situation.
(Zane uses his Ice, but the Preeminent breaks free and the ninja scream. She tries to walk on the water, but groans in pain.)
"Yes! She's unable to follow us to sea!" Wu said with a smile. However, the Preeminent tries again and succeeds.
"I thought Ghosts can't stand water. How come it's still after us?" Misako said baffled
"Have enough Ghosts at your disposal, I guess you can pretty much do anything. Throw anything we don't need off the ship. We need to go faster! Much faster!" Wu ordered and everyone did as they threw away crates. Wu turned to Ronin.
"Can we go any faster?"
"It's on full power."
"Head for that fog bank for cover!" Misako said
"If we're gonna destroy the Preeminent, we're gonna have to do more." Wu said
"Speaking of more, we need more fuel. If we turn back now, we'll have just enough to get us to shore. Otherwise, if we reach Hollow's Trench, we'll be sitting ducks out there." Ronin sa
"Hollow's Trench. Do you think it's deep enough to drown that giant thing?" Kai questioned
"One way to find out. Full steamer ahead!" Wu demanded and Ronin did so, the boat going full power as it chuffs towards the open sea. But unfortunately people screamed as the Preeminent takes out the paddles. Cinder then sees Morro coming out of the portal laughing.
"I did it. I finally got rid of you!"
Everything seem lost to the team, and Lloyd lost against the ghost and the goat undrivable. There was nothing that can stop the inevitable and everyone almost lost hope, however there was a saving grace. A massive whirlwind kicked up.
"Morro?" Jay asked nervously from the wind
"Not Morro, Nya!" Cole exclaimed
"She's unlocked her True Potential!" Kai said in awe at his sister as a water vortex surrounded her. Then the dragonet turned to watch as a giant wave came in and knocked the Preeminent off its feet and into the sea. Everyone cheered.
"NOOOOO! NOOO!" Morro yells in despair as the Preeminent begins to disperse not mist from the water and he is trapped by it. Wu tried to save him but Morro gave him the Realm Crystal and faded from the world as he went under. Wu came back to the team in the boat and later used the Crystal to bring back Lloyd.
"Haha, all right!" Kai cheered
"Whoo, haha!" Jay laughed
"Lloyd, you made it!" Misako said relieved
"And so did you." Lloyd reply back
"Good to have you back. You just missed—" Zane said but was cut off
"Oh, I know what I missed. I caught a glimpse of what would happen next, (Lloyd points at the Sword of Sanctuary.) and knew Morro had to return alone. Just 'cause I'm the Green Ninja, doesn't mean I have to save the day. Especially when I have friends to rely on." He said
"And that's why destiny chose you." Misako reply with a smile
"It appears your father's robe has imparted wisdom, but you still have a lot to master to earn the Sensei title." Wu stated
"If that's the path I'm on, I'll take it one step at a time. The Cursed Realm is gone...and so is my father...but I know we're all in a better place." Lloyd said as the others join in on the conversation. Cinder just looked out on the water, wondering what the future would bring to the team and Ninjago.

Well, here we are. Season 5 is done, the ending isn't bad but not my favorite really with the writing. I try my best on this but it's ok.
Now on the other hand, the next chapter won't take long, but I made the decision to skip Season 6 altogether, so it's onto DotD. But I'll be doing the first episode of Season 6, there's something that Cinder will get that was said back in chapter 1.
Still in progress on the Dragon Realms chapters, got an idea of a plot for it thanks to this person on here. Which leads into this announcement. Him and I are doing a Spyro fanfic, called Dragon Warriors. I'll be writing it, but he came up with almost everything for it. But I've made artwork for it as well, which I'll upload to both my Deviantart and Furaffinity accounts. On Watttpad I'll be able to upload pics into the chapter. Here are my account names here to go look at.
