Bitterly, Luna stomped down the hall, a way of letting every pony around her know that she was angry and not in the mood to talk.

I can't believe Celestia! She always has to ruin everything for me!

Her sister had just announced to Luna that they would be retiring and leaving the kingdom to Twilight; suffice to say, the discussion hadn't gone pleasantly. Very clearly, Luna had told her sister that she didn't want to retire yet.

I just got back, and my subjects have just started to like me for the very first time. Now sister demands I give that all up! I love dream walking and helping the ponies. Speaking of which, who's even going to take over my job?! Celestia probably hasn't even thought that through. IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT HER, AND HER RESPONSIBILITIES, AND HER OBLIGATIONS!!! I'm just along for the ride!

Luna hung her head, ears drooping.

No pony can dream walk except me, so I'd need to give some pony else my power. Clearly Twilight won't be able to with her taking sister's responsibilities over, and none of twilight's friends are Alicorns, so I'm unable to transfer my power to any of them.

Will dream walking really just fade into history?

If Twilight is really only going to be taking over Celestia's job, why do I need to retire anyways?! Celestia can have her little heir and dress her up as sun princess all she wants, BUT WHY CAN'T SHE JUST LEAVE ME BE?!!!

Grinding her teeth, Luna huffed and quickly wiped the "condensation" that had formed on her eyes. It was quite insulting actually for Celestia to imply that what she did every night, what she put so much effort and passion into, was so inconsequential that it didn't even deserve to be brought up in their conversation about who would take what over.

Granted, maybe it would of come up eventually if she hadn't went off on Celestia, stormed out of the room, and slammed the door behind her... much like a foal, and Luna would admit she wasn't super proud of that. But then she thought of her sister again and felt less sorry about how she had acted.

Yes, maybe it would of eventually came up, but it should of came up when she was talking about her duties, not sometime after she went on about where we will live... another thing Celestia didn't even get my opinion on!

Despite her fury regarding the subject though, she would still come quietly. Well, scratch quietly! It would more be kicking and screaming, but she would still come.

What real authority do I have to stop it anyways?! I should face the facts, I'm just Celestia's little pet like every pony else. Like Cadence and Twilight. I suppose the only difference is that she doesn't trust me enough to leave me alone in a castle!!

She's probably just waiting for me to turn evil again, Luna concluded to herself.
