"I gave them what they thought they needed." Amber tapped a pen on the table. "I gave them Phase 1 Nanotech but they think it's Phase 9." Amber looked at her Dad, who nodded his head and went to the computer.
"What is Phase 1?" Steve asked as Bucky entered the conference room.
"Phase 1 we can track. Phase 1 is also temperamental. If they haven't figure that out yet they will soon." Amber said.
"Which gave me enough time to get Pepper and Morgan to a safe and secure location." Tony add, throwing a map with the nanotech location.
Amber still tapping the pen on the table. "They're in New York?"
"That's Steve's apartment." Bucky chimed in. "Why would they be at your apartment?"
"Dad mentioned you met with Director Pierce." Amber laid her pen down and looked at Steve. "Where did you met him?"
Steve stood up and straighten himself. "You already know the answer to that. Don't you?" Steve and Amber stared at each other.
"You're move Captain." She slowly stood up.
"I know when I'm beat."
"Won't stop you from trying."
Steve shrugged his shoulders. "You're right." He dashed out the conference door. Amber and Bucky right behind him.
"Stay on him. I'll get ahead of him." Bucky said detouring around.
Steve ran into an elevator and Amber managed to slip right in.
"Let's talk about this." Steve tried to bargaining but Amber punched him in the face, causing him to stagger back.
Using her magic, she held Steve against the wall of the elevator. "Were you there?"
"I knew about it."
"Why?"
"Stark runs a tight ship. Needed some leverage."
"And how did I work out?"
"Let me know when you wake up." Steve said and then immediately spoke something in German.
Amber passed out.
"Amber wake up!" Bucky shook her. "Where's Steve?!"
Amber fluttered her eyes open. She felt like she got hit with a brick.
"Where's Steve?" He asked again.
"I don't know. I had him." She looked around seeing they were still in the elevator. "I had him then he spoke German and- and- and I blacked out."
"Fuck." He whispered.
