Chapter 25: Battle Royales and Battleship Raiding
Studiopolis Studios
The group made their way to the studio hosting the battle royale.
"We're here to sign up for the battle royale." Sonic said.
"We only have four spots remaining." The woman at the booth said.
"Well, me, Tails, and Knuckles are locks, so the four of you need to decide who's joining us." Sonic said.
"Rock, Paper, Scissors?" Maria suggested.
"So be it." Manic said.
After six games, Maria came out victorious.
"Maria it is then." Tails said.
"Good luck, guys." Manic said as he, Sonia, and Marine made their way to the stands.
"Ok, we got this, guys. For our, well, mine and Sonic's kids!" Knuckles said.
The other three nodded as they made their way to the locker rooms.
Egg Eagle
Shadow, Silver, and Blaze were getting ever so closer to the emeralds. They were also avoiding Eggman's robots as well.
"Are we close?" Silver asked.
"Yes, we are. They're in the next room." Shadow replied.
"Coast is clear." Blaze said.
The trio walked into the emerald chamber.
"Let's get them and go." Silver said.
"Not so fast, thieves!"
The trio turned around to see Eggman in his Egg Mobile, in which behind him was Titan Metal Sonic, a giant red version of Sonic's robot doppelganger.
"So you've come for the emeralds, have you?" Eggman accused.
"What do you think?" Shadow rolled his eyes.
"Not as long as Titan Metal Sonic is around. Destroy them!" Eggman commanded.
"Get ready!" Blaze yelled.
Studiopolis Studios
The tournament had begun and the quartet breezed through their opponents. However, there were four figures in cloakes that were their next opponents.
"They're down to our final eight opponents. The next battle is a 4 on 4, featuring Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Maria verses four mystery opponents." The PA announcer said.
"Mystery opponents?" Knuckles asked.
"I have no clue." Tails added.
"Well, whoever it is, we have to win no matter what!" Sonic said with a determined look on his face.
Then let's do it!" Knuckles added.
The four walked into the battle area to face the cloaked figures.
"Ok, before we start, who are you guys?" Tails asked.
The four removed their cloaks and the four heroes gasped.
"Rosy?"
"Miles?"
"Metal Knuckles?"
"Me?"
Indeed it was.
Amy's evil twin, Tails' evil twin, Knuckles' robot double, and an exact double of Maria, except her outfit was black, opposed to Maria's blue.
"Call me May." The other Maria said.
"A blue Scourge again?" Rosy said, grinning evily. "This will be fun!"
"Indeed, as well as me defeating this sad excuse of a boy, then taking his rabbit." Miles added.
"You won't touch a hair on Cream's head!" Tails shouted.
Metal Knuckles just stared at Knuckles.
"Come on, say something!" Knuckles pouted.
The robot just stood there.
"Never mind."
"How are you here?" Maria asked May.
"Dr. Eggman created me." May answered.
"So what about you two?" Sonic asked Miles and Rosy.
"We were recruited by this Infinite character." Miles answered.
"I'm not surprised. At least he didn't use virtual cronies this time." Sonic said.
"We will win! We will win!" Rosy chanted.
"Sorry, guys, but we really need that emerald."
"Well, prepare for battle then!" May yelled as the groups charged at each other.
