Bell and the Hestia familia were on the 18th floor gathering materials for a bunch of quests they took. It was just them this time with no help from other familias. Since it was their first time back since Bell recovered they decided that the 18th floor was a good stopping point. They gathered some easy quests from the guild and set off.
They finished all the quests earlier in the day but decided to stay down here for the night. Since the prices were so high in Rivira Lilly decided they were gonna camp out for the night. That was fine with them and they started setting up camp when Welf wanted some alcohol.
Lilly and Welf argued for a bit but after a while, Lilly relented and sent Bell to go get some alcohol to celebrate their first Dungeon dive in a while.
So that's why Bell was in Rivira looking for a store to get a barrel of alcohol. As he got one he was ready to head out when he heard a voice behind him.
"Hey, Argonaut!" The voice said cheerfully from behind. Knowing only one person called him that, he turned around to see who he expected. Tiona was standing behind him with Finn and Tione.
"What's up, what are you guys doing here?" Bell turned around to talk to them. This time it was Finn who answered.
"We are down here making sure there are no other entrances to Knossos or anything else related to the Evils."
"Just you three?"
"No, the whole Dungeon exploring team is here. We three just came here to gather any info. What about you though, what are you doing in Rivira?"
Bell laughed awkwardly as he pointed to the barrel he was carrying, "Well we were doing some quest and decided to stay the night. One thing led to another and…"
Tiona had a great idea when she heard that, "Why don't you come party with us?"
"Huh?"
"Come party with us! It's been a while since we've talked!" She repeated with a bright grin on her face.
"I don't know I would have to ask my familia," Bell replied but Finn seemed down for the idea.
"I don't mind and I doubt anyone else would either. If you do come we will pay for the drinks and snacks." He said generously.
"Huh!? That's so expensive in Rivira!" Bell said shocked that anyone would willingly spend that much money here.
"Think of it as a payment for helping us out back then." Finn didn't say what he was talking about but Bell understood what he meant. They couldn't talk about it outside but that was fine.
"Well…. If you insist then we would love to." Bell slightly bowed before asking where they were camped at. After getting directions from them he handed them the barrel of alcohol and waved goodbye.
Once he left them he headed back to his familia's camp. Welf questioned why he didn't have any alcohol with him but he quickly changed his tune when Bell mentioned free alcohol. Even Lilly was down for it so with everyone agreeing they headed to the Loki Familia camp.
It seemed Finn had already told everyone that they were coming because they were welcomed with open arms. After all their meetings together both familia's had grown closer. At least enough to enjoy a drink together and that's what they did.
Within a few hours everyone, except Aiz, was a little buzzed at the minimum. The Loki familia must have spent a fortune because there seemed to be an endless amount of food and alcohol. Everyone was laughing and enjoying themselves. Lilly was talking to Finn as Tione watched over them. At first, Tione did nothing but glare at Lilly but after talking and drinking they were acting like best friends. Something that might be a problem if the slightly sweating Finn was any indication.
Welf was in a drinking contest with Gareth, Bete, and most of the males from the Loki familia. Most of the people were light drinking but they were going crazy. Most of the alcohol was going to them. Haruhime and Mikoto were chatting with Aki, Narvi, and Rakta. Bell didn't realize they knew each other but they seemed to be having a good conversation.
And Bell was sitting around a fire with Aiz, Tiona, and Lefiya. They were trading stories about what happened recently. Bell made sure not to mention anything about the 37th floor and was mostly talking about their adventures. Tiona was doing most of the talking with Lefiya adding things in here and there while Aiz just sat next to Bell eating some of the Dungeon-grown fruit.
Bell didn't know why but it was slightly awkward to be near Aiz. The last time they saw each other was at the graveyard and haven't trained together for a while. But that wasn't the problem, it was that there was something different about Aiz. Maybe he was overthinking it but she seemed less closed off around him. Right when he sat down she immediately sat down next to him. He was glad they were closer but didn't know what to do next leaving him more awkward around her than before.
Bell looked around and noticed he didn't see many of the elves. He wondered if they just didn't want to drink.
"…new move." Tiona finished saying.
"Sorry, can you say that again," Bell said, zoning back in.
"Did you have too much to drink?" Lefiya asked, watching as he took another sip of his drink.
"Hahaha! I asked to see you move. You know, the chiming one." Tiona repeated her question.
"Oh, you mean my charge-up skill? I thought you've seen it before?"
"I heard the little chime one, not the church bell one." She clarified, looking eagerly at him.
"Sorry to disappoint you but I can't choose which one I use. It depends on the fight I guess." Bell explained, scratching his head sheepishly.
"Awww I wanted to see it."
Bell just laughed at how worked up she was getting, "I'll show you some time I promise."
With that, they talked a bit more about what the Loki Familia was doing.
"So did you guys find anything down here?"
"No, all the exits were destroyed during the battle. It doesn't seem like there was anything that escaped." Lefiya answered him confidently.
"You guys seem pretty sure, have you already finished looking over the entire floor?"
"Yeah we have been down here for a few days and besides we had help."
"Help?" He asked but before they could answer a drunk Loki Familia member who was walking by tripped and spilled his drink on Bell.
"I'm so sorry!" The drunk adventurer apologized but Bell just laughed it off, telling him it was fine. Bell stood up looking at his shirt, it was covered in alcohol.
"Well, I'll be back. I'm gonna take a quick dip and try to get it out." Bell said as he looked at the fake sky. It was starting to approach the 18th floor's night time but it was still enough for Bell to see.
"Hey Lefiya, no one's taking a bath right now. Right?" He asked, wanting to make sure nothing like last time happened.
"Yes, you will be fine. Everyone already took their baths today."
With that, he nodded and headed off to the lake. The three girls went back to talking while they waited for him to come back. They were talking about what to do when they got to the surface when Aiz spoke up.
"Where's Riviera?"
With that Lefiya's head shot up as she noticed that not only was Lady Riviera wasn't there but most of the elves weren't either.
"Oh no…. Wait, I gotta go stop that human!" With that, she took off towards where Bell went.
Bell walked towards the lake that his familia used to clean up whenever they got there. As he walked through the trees he appreciated the peace. He walked through and saw the lake. Shaking off the memories of what happened with Lord Hermes, he began to take off his clothes.
He took off his armor and ruined shirt. He went on one knee and started to unbuckle his boots. Once that was done he started to take off his pants and underwear. After he was naked he quickly got into the lake.
"Ahh," he let out a sigh of relief in the cold water as the water went to his knees. Right when he was about to sink lower he heard a voice.
"BBBBEEEEEEEELLLLLLLL!" He heard Lefiya scream from a distance. He turned his head in that direction wondering what was happening. It was then he heard a splash from the lake. As he looked back at the noise he saw a green-haired goddess emerge from the water.
—-
"Ahhh," Riveria let a sigh of relief as she dipped into the lake. She walked in till that water was up to her shoulders. Her long hair was unbound and flowing behind her.
She looked up at the crystals in the sky slowly dimming. But even though it was so late she was determined to enjoy her time soaking. She missed her chance to go enjoy her bath earlier in the day like normal when the Xeno Ray appeared. Fels had sent her to help with looking for Evil remnants.
So even though she was missing out on the party that Finn sprung on them it was fine. She didn't have that close a connection to the Hestia Familia anyway. While she was glad everyone was enjoying themselves she left.
She didn't want to drag the other elves with her but they insisted it was their duty to watch over her. Riveria looked around and saw them hiding in the trees around setting up a perimeter so no one could peek at their princess.
With another sigh, she sunk her head underneath the water. She enjoyed the weightlessness of being underwater. And unlike Aiz she had no fear of the water so she was content to stay underneath the water as long as she wanted. Where no one could see her she could relax. Here she wasn't the elven princess, the strongest mage, or a top executive of the Loki Familia.
As she was enjoying herself she heard the sound of someone entering the water. Thinking nothing of it, that it was just one of the elves, she ignored it. It wasn't until she heard the sound of Lefiya yelling that she opened her eyes and emerged from the water. Thinking it was just Lefiya being mad she wasn't taken for guard duty she wiped the water off her face. Once she looked in at the person in the water and froze in shock.
The one standing there wasn't Lefiya or any of the other elves. It wasn't an elf at all or female. It was a naked white-haired young man, who was also staring at her in shock. She recognized him immediately, it was hard not to, no one else had white hair with red eyes.
They both stood frozen not knowing what to do. It was Riveria's first time seeing a naked man. Sure she saw them with partial clothes after battle but nothing like this. Almost against her will her eyes roamed across his body. He was fair-skinned with a lean body. While he wasn't nearly as muscular as Gareth you could easily see his muscles that he got through his adventures. Feeling her gaze on him, his body heated up as a certain part woke up. Seeing that she went red as an apple as all the blood rushed towards her face.
Seeing his face also turn red as he stared at her in awe she realized she was still naked. She quickly covered herself with her arms. Watching that Bell also realized he was uncovered and dove under the water so only his head was peeking out. He had his eyes squeezed shut as he looked away.
They were just in time as Lefiya came bursting into the clearing staring in horror as she saw the two of them in the water.
"Lefi-" Riveria tried to stop her but it was too late.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" She yelled, causing all the elves that were watching the perimeter to see what the disturbance was. Once all the elves gathered they stared at the boy in horror before it turned to anger.
"How dare you, human!?" They raised their weapons getting ready to attack the human who had seen their princess in her most vulnerable state.
"Wait!" Riveria commanded them, seeing that the boy was going to accept all the attacks. They all stopped but didn't lower their bows or staffs.
"But why Lady Riveria!? Peeking on you is a crime worthy of death!" One of the elves said with the rest letting out cheers of agreement.
"First let us get dressed then we will question him."
After saying that Lefiya ran and grabbed her clothes and handed them to her. After drying off she put her clothes on and looked at the boy who was finishing putting his shirt on in the water. He slowly came out of the water fully dressed looking like a man heading towards the gallows.
He didn't seem to care that his clothes were soaking wet. He simply had a face that looked like it was about to burst out crying as he was as red as could be.
Once Riveria was sure her face cooled down she spoke, "Mr. Cranel, I hope you have a good reason for being here." She spoke with an icy tone. She didn't believe he would come to do anything but this was the second time he walked in on the Loki Familia bathing. If he did come here with a perverted fantasy then she would kill him where he stood.
"I-I'm so sorry. I just came here to clean up," he said in a trembling voice as he looked at Lefiya with tears in his eyes. "You said no one was bathing!"
The elves all turned to Lefiya who flushed and held her hands out to defend herself.
"No one was supposed to be! Why are you here, Lady Riveria!?" She turned towards the green-haired elf.
"I wasn't able to go early."
As the elves began to yell at Lefiya for sending the boy to their princess she snapped back. "Why didn't any of you stop him when he walked up?"
All the elves began arguing over whose slip-up caused this disaster to happen. Riveria looked at the boy who looked downright miserable and would rather be anywhere else. Seeing that expression she knew that this was all just a horrible mistake. She looked at all the elves before seeing that one was missing.
"Where's Alicia?" She asked for her second in command who should have been there but was missing. All the elves looked around before realizing she was right. Before they could go searching for her they heard movement coming from the bushes. They turned around aiming their weapons at the intruder before Alicia popped out. She looked shocked when she saw everyone.
"What's wrong?" She asked wondering why everyone looked so tense.
"'What's wrong?' What's wrong is that you abandoned your post! Where were you!?" A dark-haired elf yelled at her.
"Huh?" She was confused at the anger but answered her anyway. "Well, Ray asked me to help her preen her feathers. And as thank you for before I went. Why what's the….problem…"
She trailed off when she saw the boy on his knees.
"No…" she mumbled as she looked back at Riveria. She had a look of devastation on her face as she saw Riveria look away.
Before the elves could do anything else Riveria spoke up.
"Enough."
With that one word, everyone stared back at her waiting to hear what she would have to say. All except one boy who did nothing but stare at the ground.
"Mr. Cranel, look at me." With that Bell finally raised his head to stare at her. Seeing that he was still responsive she nodded her head and continued.
"There is no denying that this was a mistake caused by unfortunate events. However, what is done is done. None of you will blame Mr. Cranel for what has happened, none of this lies with him."
She glared at all the elves to make sure they fully understood what she was saying and wouldn't act out of line. Seeing them all reluctantly agree she closed one eye as she thought about what to do next.
"Luckily for us, we are too far from the camp for anyone else to know what happened. In other words, only we know what happened here. So as long as no one speaks of it it will be like nothing even happened, understood?" Seeing them all nod one more time she looked at the boy who still hadn't said anything for a while.
"Listen Mr. Cranel I apologize for the inconvenience but I must stress how important it is for you to never let slip what happened here. Even to your goddess or familia or there will be consequence." She tried to speak in a softer tone to not scare him, but he needed to know what who happen if he didn't listen.
"Of course! I won't tell a soul, I promise!" Seeing how sincere he was being she opened her closed eye and told him to head back. Looking around nervously, still afraid of the elves Bell left in his still soaking clothes. The elves watched as he vanished before Lefiya timidly spoke up.
"Are you sure this is fine, Lady Riveria?"
"Yes, unless you think he will go back on his word?"
Lefiya shook her head, "No I don't think he will but don't you think you should have told him about that?"
"No, there's no need to cause him to stress and worry about it. If he thinks it was just seeing me n-naked then he not say anything." With that settled she looked at Alicia who was crying.
"I'm sorry…I'm so sorry, Lady Riveria!"
Riviera walked up to her and patted her head. She sniffed as she let Riveria rub her hair. "I told you it's fine. I'm glad you were able to meet up with Ray again. Don't worry nothing will happen we will all forget about this soon. More importantly, let's get our stories straight."
After thirty minutes of waiting they walked back into the party. It seemed they didn't need to worry about anyone wondering why they took so long. Most of them were passed out drunk and the few that were awake we sitting by multiple fires. Riviera spotted Bell sitting next to Aiz and Tiona, trying to dry his clothes. Once they entered Bell made eye contact and instantly looked away. Riveria did her best to ignore him and walked towards Finn as the rest of the elves dispersed. He was talking to Tione who glared at her for interrupting them, but she sat down anyway.
"Seems the party was fun." She commented as she grabbed some of the food that Finn offered her.
"Yeah, it was. What took you so long?"
"Ray stopped by to say goodbye for the time being."
"Ah, I see." With that Finn was drawn back into talking to Tione. Riveria looked over everyone. She took a glance at Bell as her face heated up. For her to see the naked body of the boy Aiz was attached to made her feel guilty. She glanced away before anyone noticed. She knows what she told everyone but for some reason, she could still feel a small trace of unease for what lies ahead.

It had been a few weeks from the day in Rivira and Bell was resting in the Hearth Mansion. He was currently reading a book while he was lying on the living room couch. He had a simple long-sleeved black shirt and pants. It was just him and his goddess in there at the moment. Everyone else was out at the moment. It was one of their off days so everyone was doing different things. Welf was in his forge, Lilly was getting supplies from the familia, and Mikoto had left with Haruhime to visit the Takemikazuchi Familia. Meanwhile, Bell had decided to relax with his goddess and they were both relaxing while reading books. Bell had managed to get the event out of his head by then and barely thought of it anymore. Most people would have wondered how he could have forgotten such a goddess-like body, but Bell felt like the fear of death was a good motive. Like he promised nobody knew what he saw.
It was supposed to be a nice day until Bell heard a knocking on the door. He and his goddess looked at each other before Bell gestured that he would get the door. He couldn't think of anyone that was supposed to visit them today. He opened the door and was going to say hello but stopped when he saw who is front of the door. It was a tall regal male elf that Bell was certain he had never met or even seen. The person was the definition of an elf, when people picture elves this guy must be who they thought of. He was an extremely beautiful man with long silver hair that ran to his back. He was taller than Bell and was dressed in white elf clothing. Despite his attractiveness the look he gave Bell was chilling.
"Are you Bell Cranel?" He asked in a clipped tone with no emotion.
"Y-Yes, how may I help you?" Bell responded nervously. The man simply stared at him for a minute. Bell opened his mouth to repeat himself but the elf interrupted him.
"Good. You will come with me."
"Huh? Why?" Bell asked getting more confused by the second.
"Don't ask questions just follow me if you do not wish to get punished." The man said with a tone that showed it wasn't a joke.
"Punished?!" Bell shouted, causing his goddess to come out to see what the problem was.
"Bell what's the matter?" She asked him, but before he could answer the elf walked away. Bell watched in confusion before deciding to follow him. He didn't know who he was but he didn't want to risk anything by earning his ire. As he walked after him his goddess followed him.
"Wait Bell what's going on?"
"I don't know Goddess. He suddenly said to follow me or else I would get punished." Bell explained as they followed the elf into the city.
"Punished?! Who does he think he is?!" Seemingly angered by him she marched up to give him a piece of her mind.
"Hey! I don't know who you think you are, but how dare you threaten my Bell?" She yelled at him but the elf simply turned around and lightly glared at her.
"I said no questions."
"Yes sir!" They both repeated falling in line when they saw his glare.
"Bell how could you let him get away with this?" She whispered to him as they followed him.
"Sorry Goddess but I'm scared of him too," Bell admitted, while he would stand up if the elf did decide to fight, he didn't want to if he didn't have to.
"Well do you at least have any idea where he's taking us?"
"No but I got a bad feeling," Bell replied. A scary royal-looking elf and the direction they were heading couldn't be a coincidence. "Anyway you should head back Goddess, I'll be fine."
"What are you saying? How could I leave you alone with that guy?"
Bell was touched by this but if what he thought was about to happen he honestly didn't want her there. His fears were proven as they got closer to Twilight Manor.
He gulped as the man walked up to the guards and told them to get Lady Riveria. It seemed that everyone was universally scared of this guy since the guards left without a word of complaint. Bell was wondering if he should just leave but before he could Lady Riveria walked out of the door with Lefiya by her side. Her eyes widened when she saw the elf and her face paled as she looked at Bell standing timidly behind him. She nonetheless walked up to the elf and stared him in the eye.
The elf went into a polite bow before greeting her, "Lady Riveria, you look as beautiful as ever."
"What are you doing here Elysium?" Riveria asked ignoring his greeting completely. The elf, Elysium, didn't seem to mind and answered.
"You know why my Lady. I would advise that we talk in a more… private setting."
Riveria didn't want to do that, but after glancing around at the crowd they were gathering she nodded her head.
"Follow me." With that, she briskly turned around and walked back into the manor. The elf followed but Bell tried one last time to leave.
"Um this looks like a problem for elves, so if you don't mind we'll take our leave." He said and tried to take a step back when the elf glared at him again. Glancing at the shocked Lefiya and realizing he had no chance he unwillingly followed. They walked into the house, Bell shrinking with every look at him. His goddess seemed fine until Loki appeared.
"What's this, who let Shrimp into my house?" She glared at Goddess but before they could get into a fight Riveria stopped them.
"This isn't the time. Follow me." She said while still waking. Loki looked shocked at the seriousness but one look at the elf and she realized it was no joking matter. They all followed Riveria until they entered a room.
Upon entering Bell was confident that the room belonged to Finn. From the furniture to the Prum Goddess painting it all screams Braver. It also helped that he was sitting at the desk with his glasses on working on paperwork. He looked up when they all walked in with confusion.
"Is something the matter?" He asked once Riveria closed the door.
"That's what I want to know. So get to talking elf boy." Loki told Elysium.
He didn't reply and looked around at all the people gathered in the room, "This is a matter that only concerns Lady Riveria and the boy. The rest of you are unneeded."
"That's no way for a guest to talk. Though I guess you elves wouldn't know what good manners are." A voice said as it opened the door. It was Gareth who closed the door behind him
"This is nothing for a lowly dwarf such as yourself to hear." Elysium spat out with a sneer.
"Don't talk to him like that. He is a valued friend." Lady Riveria snapped back at him. Gareth let out a laugh at that.
"You defending me? What a rare day. Anyway hurry up boy unlike you we have things to do."
With that Elysium once again looked at everyone in the room. It was Bell, Hestia, Riveria, Lefiya, Loki, Finn, and Gareth.
"Fine if you insist." He looked directly at Riveria as he ignored everyone else. "You know why I am here."
Riveria frowned and glanced at Bell for a second before looking back at him. "I have no idea what you are talking about."
"Playing ignorant? That's fine we know you broke your vow as a high elf."
The words meant nothing to Bell and Hestia but from the way that everyone else acted it was a big deal. The rest of the Loki Familia had shocked expressions as they realized the reason Bell was here.
Hestia, who had enough of being gawked at, snapped, "Okay, and what does that have to do with us?!"
Elysium smiled when he heard that. It was a smile filled with a cold sharpness that removed any friendliness. "It has to do with that boy since he was the one who broke her vow."
"What vow!?" Hestia screamed, getting more annoyed by the second. This time it was Finn who answered.
"All high elves have a vow that the only person that can…look upon their naked bodies is their spouse."
After he said that the room was deafeningly silent. Hestia slowly turned to face Bell with a fake smile plastered on her face.
"Bell, surely they aren't trying to say that you saw her naked, right?"
Poor Bell was bright red as he glanced at Lefiya for a way out of this but she just grimaced. Seeing that she wasn't going to help he decided staying silent was his best plan.
"Hmmm? Bell, why aren't you saying anything?" She asked in a sickening sweet voice.
"Yeah, why aren't you saying anything boy?" Loki jumped in glaring at Bell
"Enough!" Riveria snapped at everyone before glaring at Elysium. "Surely you're not suggesting…"
"Yes," he interrupted knowing that she understood why he was here, "as tradition dictates the first person who sees you in that state will become your husband."
"WHAT?!" Bell yelled as he heard that. This had to be some sick joke.
"You have to be joking! There's no way my father would have me marry a human!"
"You should have thought of that before you had your dalliance with a human." He said with a look of disgust as he looked at Bell.
"Wait wait! You're misunderstanding, nothing like that happened!" Bell jumped in.
"It's too late to act as if it has nothing to do with this. From this moment on you are Lady Riveria's husband."
While Bell was getting yelled at by Hestia, Riveria focused on the other elf.
"What are you planning? Father wouldn't have sent you here just for that."
"You are correct, My Lady. Of course, under normal circumstances gaining a husband would be a cause for celebration. However, the future elf prince cannot be a human."
"If that is the case then why did you bother coming? The only thing this will cause is unneeded rumors to spawn."
"Unfortunately we cannot simply act like this never happened. While few, some of the elves in the forest are saying this man will be your future husband. Naturally, this outraged His Majesty so he sent me to test him to see if he is worthy of you."
—
"Test? Tell me what is this test?" She asked Elysium. Whatever the test is she knew it would be designed for Mr. Cranel to fail. That wasn't the problem. The problem was whether the test required Mr. Cranel to live. Her father couldn't be happy about this so there was a real chance that he would want the boy dead.
"The test is simple. All he has to do is hold my hand for five seconds," Elysium said.
"That's it?" She responded in shock. That test was too easy. Elysium who only ever lived in the Alf Forest would only ever allow another elf to touch him.
"That is all. Since he would be the future prince of elves he needs to prove that the elves will accept him."
"And there will be no punishment?" She needed to confirm.
"No, His Majesty simply wishes to get this over with. He doesn't want to strain the relationship with you anymore."
In other words, he wanted to leverage the fact that he didn't harm the boy over her in exchange for something. But that honestly wasn't that bad of a deal. It was her negligence that led him to be in this situation, so the least she could do was make sure nothing happened to him. Unfortunately, the rumors probably spread by now which would make elves target him, but if she worked quickly then she could tell them to stop. While she was thinking of the pros and cons, the boy spoke up.
"Wait a minute. Why do we need a test? Neither of us wants to get married to each other so why are we even talking about this?" He said as he looked at Elysium.
Elysium scoffed before answering, "Please don't act like this isn't a dream come true. The fact that a human like you even is being considered to be her husband should be your greatest honor."
"You're right, I'm sure whoever Lady Riveria decides to marry will be blessed beyond belief," Bell replied in a natural tone. It caused everyone to look at him in shock but he didn't realize as he continued. "But the one who decides who she marries is not you or anyone except herself."
Riveria felt her cheeks heat up slightly as she heard that.
"Besides there is someone who I already love."
With that Bell firmly denied his intention of having anything to do with this elf tradition. Elysium glared at him but Riveria spoke first.
"Mr. Cranel, thank you for that but I think you should agree to the test."
"Huh!? Don't tell me you want to get married to my Bell?" Hestia yelled at her for suggesting that.
"No, that's not why I want him to take the test. This test was designed to fail so when he takes it and fails that should be all."
"So please take the test, Mr. Cranel." She said looking at him.
"...Okay if you insist."
Bell nodded and walked over to Elysium, "So how do we do this?"
Elysium sneered at the boy before answering, "Simple just hold my hand for five seconds and if I don't let go then you will become married to Lady Riveria in the eyes of the elves. Of course, such a thing will never happen."
Bell didn't seem to mind the slight racism and simply held out his right hand. With a look of disgust for having to touch a human, Elysium extended his hand and clasped hands with him. Seeing that Riveria let out a sigh of relief. Not that it was over with, now she would have to deal with her familia who were watching her with varying grins. Then she would have to worry about all the elves in the city but for now, at least it was over. Maybe she should do something as an apology for Mr. Cranel.
As she was wondering about all of this she wasn't paying attention to the actual results of the test. She was knocked out of her thoughts by Bell yelling.
"What are you doing?! Let go!" Riviera looked up and saw that Elysium was still holding Bell's hand. Bell was the one who separated their hands with a look of horror that matched Elysium's.
"...six seconds," Loki whispered.
When she heard that Riveria felt her heart drop. "What are you doing, Elysium?!"
He looked back at her in shock before looking down at his hand. "I didn't reject you… what are you?" He still seemed shocked about the whole situation. Riviera realized why as she looked at him. He must have thought he would naturally reject the touch of a human and when he didn't was stunned.
"Wait what does this mean?" A paling Bell asked, looking between Riveria and Elysium.
"…It means starting from today you are Lady Riveria's husband."
"Huh?!"
"I must tell His Majesty immediately." With that said he turned to leave without listening to her shouts for him to stop.
After the door shut the room was silent as everyone struggled to comprehend what just happened. Riveria couldn't believe what was happening, when this first happened she thought it would be a hassle but she never expected the marriage to happen. But now that Bell had passed the test it would get to every elf around. While her father wouldn't approve once everyone heard how Bell passed his test it would become an issue.
But she needed to calm herself, she was the adult she needed to help Bell. Looking at him she could tell he was a moment away from breaking down. And all the people in the room weren't going to help they would probably make it worse.
She walked up to him and put her hands on his shoulders. He looked up at her with terrified eyes, seeing him like this she could understand why he was thought to be a rabbit.
"Don't worry, I'll protect you." She said while looking into his eyes. She tried to smile at him to calm him down, but knowing it wasn't her strong suit. His face was turning red but she didn't know if that was a good sign or not.
"I'm sorry but this will be difficult. But by working together I'm sure it will be fine." She wondered if it worked when Bell made a strange face.
"Are you fine Mr. Cranel?"
"Oh Y-Yeah my back just burned a bit." He said and while it meant nothing to her his goddess eyes widened when she heard that.
"HUH!?" Riveria watched as Lady Hestia marched up to Bell and started taking off his shirt.
"Goddess!?" Bell tried to resist as the rest watched in shock. Riveria didn't know where she got the strength but she managed to get the shirt off him.
She held out her hand towards Finn, "Needle now!"
Finn seemed to understand what she wanted and handed her a pen. Riveria realized what she was doing as she dragged Bell to the corner of the room and pricked her finger.
'A status update. But why now?' She thought as she watched her write on his back. Once she was done her eyes flashed in outrage as she glared at Riveria.
"YOU DAMN RABBIT HOW EASY ARE YOU!?" She screamed as she read whatever was on his back.
"Hey, chill out Shrimp. What's wrong?" Loki asked her.
"What's wrong is all your women trying to seduce my Bell."
"Seduce?!" Riveria said in shock, when did she do that?
"Bell from this moment on you're not allowed to meet anyone from Flat-Chest's Familia!"
"Huh!?" Bell looked the most shocked by this but his goddess grabbed his hand and began to walk towards the door. Before they could leave however Loki blocked the door.
"Wait Shrimp."
"What? Get out of the way."
"No, you need to calm down. I know we've never seen eye to eye but this isn't the time to buttheads. This can turn into a huge problem even for us. So we need to work together." Loki told her, which shocked Riveria for how seriously she was taking this.
"Work together? With you?"
"Yeah, the whole enemy of your enemy is your friend thing. So no hiding anything. Including whatever you just saw."
"You think I'm going to tell you about Bell's status? You must be crazy." Hestia said with a laugh. Loki let out her laugh before replying.
"Since you don't understand our predicament let me tell you. Soon every elf in the world will hear about this. When they find out you can bet that they aren't going to take it. You'll be lucky if they don't just attack you."
"S-So you're saying that I should just show you Bell's status? How is that gonna help?" Hestia said still not trusting them. It was Bell who tried to talk her into agreeing.
"Come on Goddess we can trust them and it's not like them knowing my status is that big deal. They already know most of my magic and skills."
Riveria saw the guilty look flash across his goddesses face. Loki also saw it and flashed an evil grin.
"Unless you're hiding something from him, like maybe a secret skill."
"I don't have anything like that right, Goddess?" Bell looked at her with a trusting expression which caused her to flinch.
"Goddess?"
"W-Well m-maybe there was something I forgot to tell you," she said in a sheepish tone.
"G-Goddess!?"
"S-Sorry but if I told you other familias would target you! So we decided not to tell you."
"We!? Does everyone but me know!?" Riveria felt bad for the boy. She was shocked he didn't realize he had a rare skill but remembered he did become an adventurer recently with a completely new familia.
She stepped forward, "Lady Hestia, I know you may not trust Loki but I swear on my pride as an elf we will not tell another familia. This is so Mr. Cranel can stay with you."
Hestia looked at her and saw she wasn't lying. She thought about it before letting out a sigh.
"Fine but if you break your promise…" she said threateningly before walking to Finn's desk grabbing a piece of paper and writing down his status. Once she was done she handed it over to Bell. He took it and looked at it before freezing. After a minute he slowly raised his gaze to hers and turned a bright red. Before she could wonder why Loki snatched the paper out of his hands.
"Thank you," she said with a grin as she looked at his status. Riveria stood behind her and went to look at his status when she felt her mind stop thinking.
