"You think the kids are up yet, as they have their first day of school today, Shadow and they were hyper last night, plus Knux said his kid is gonna be in their class which should be intresting-" Sonic said seeing a lil blue streak run into his and Shadow's bedroom followed by his twin sis, Moonie who looked like Shadow but Miko looked like Sonic. It was many years into the future and Sonic and Shadow along with Tails, Knuckles had retired from saving the Galaxy and while Knuckles was in Green Hills with Wade and Tails was an inventor, Sonic and Shadow had moved to Mobius with their cubs Miko and Moonie who were cloned from Sonic and Shadow. "Morning dads, are you up yet so we can go to school." Miko asked seeing Moonie quiet making Shadow get it.
"It's okay honey, preschool will be okay, pkus your twn brother will be there, if you get scared." Sonic told the female hedgehog cub seeing her squeeze her lil gloved hands into fists which helped and Shadow had taught her this seeing her using Chaos Controk disappearing impressing Miko that his sis coulddo that.
"We need to see if she's still in the house, Sonic as she's still learning to control her powers." Shadow said seeing Miko speed oht of the room. "She's in the kitchen dads." he yelled as they came downstairs seeing Moonie at the table drinking juice since she couldn't eat coffee beans or drink coffee like Shadow as Sonic poured cereal into bowls but he and Shadow had madetheir lunches last night before going to bed.
While they were beating, Miko was excitedly talking about school while Moonie was quiet which Shadow understood being shy himself but eating a bowl of coffee beans but drinking coffee to wake himself up while Sonic was eating Chaos Emerald shaped pop tarts and drinking juice like their cubs since he couldn't drink coffee which Shadow had explained to Miko and Moonie got but after breakfast, they grabbed their backpacks leaving with their dads but saw other kids their age guessing they'd he in their class making Moonie sighing.
Miko got excitable entering the pre-school but Moonie was anxious wanting to use Chaos Control to telepirt herself back home where she was safe pkus had her favourite stuffie for confort and naptime seeing Knux Jr or KJ there beibg her usual self making Miko smirk knowing her dad used a ring to telepirt her to school hoping she didn't use the Flames of Diaster in class seeing other kids inching away from her on the rug but Miko and Moonie weren't afraid of her making the teacher sigh. She was aware of Knuckles's warrior ways and guess he'd been passing it onto KJ which meant having to talk to her dad but keeping an eye on her going about their morning making feeling-pillows after explaining to the students making the class excited using art suppkies and markers.
"I bet KJ drew her dad being a warrior and using the Flames of Diaster like her when she's angry." Moonie whispered to Miko as KJ was at their table but Miko's design was him playing baseball with their dads making Moonie smile making Miko relieved as he was worried about her. "Daddy and Papa will like yours, Miko asdaddy loves baseball and playing it with you." she replied. "Thanks sis, what did you draw on yours." he asked her. She showed hers which had her dads and Miko hugging her which made him smile knowing his sister loved being hugged. "That's awesome and know you love hugs oh boy KJ's is a lil intrestibg and bet the teacher's gonna freak." Miko said to her making Mooniestunned along with their teacher as KJ had drawn her using the Flames of Diaster fighting giant owls.
"You need to make another one that's more… positive." she told her.
"It is, as my daddy's an echidna warrior and the last of ohr people thanks to the giant owls, so it is." the female echidna youhgster said getting upset like her dad making Miko and Moonie exchange a loo. "You could draw something like bowling with your dad and uncle Wade as you love smashing bowling pins." Miko suggested seeing Moonie nodding.
"Okay it's almost recess, so let's tidy up." the teacher said as the kids were doing that except for KJ who was scowling ane not wanting to help making Miko and Moonie sigh.
"Fine, get in trouble." Miko said as they were finished but at recess, they were playing dodgeball but KJ was playing more like a warrior insteas of being gentle grinning with pride. "It seems I'm class champion." she declared unaware the teacher had seen everything tending to the other kids who unlike Miko and Moonie weren't used to KJ's rough play..
"You're going into tine out young lady." she told her making KJ annoyed stomping inside. "I guess KJ is having a bad first day." Moonie said softly to Miko seeing him nodding asthey went back inside seeing KJ annoyed while in timeout as the teacher was reading them a story which was calming the class down after a crazy first recess plus let them have free play.
"We should go pick them up, Shadow and hope they had a good first day, but were you eating a Snickers bar as a snack." Shadow heard Sonic saying nodding. "I was hungry Sonic plus you had chilli dogs for lunch, Sonic but yes, we should pick them up." Shadow replied as he was leaving the house. He smiled seeing Miko and Moonie hug him making him smile seeing their feeling pillows poking out of their backpacks. "We'll explain when we get home, papa." Moonie said as they left seeing Knuckles talking to the teacher guessing KJ had gotten in trouble seeing Miko nod.
At home, they were telling their dads about their day including showing their feeling pillows but also about KJ's antics making Sonic and Shadow exchange a look guessing Knuckles was probabky angry hoping Wade was calming him down hearibg Shadow snort. "I highly doubt that, Sonic you and I know what Knuckles is like." he said while Miko and Moonie were havihg a snack but relieved their kids had a good first day plus maybe after dinner, Sonic would going to take an hap after today's events play catch with Miko which was making the male cub excited seeing Moonie smile at her brother's excitement going to take an hap after today's events but Sonic got a test from Wade saying KJ had been kicked out of school seeing Shadow shrug knowing after what had happened, it would have happened hoping Knuckles was okay with this
"Maybe Wade texted you, because Knux was upset and would've used the Flames of Diaster on the phone." he said seeing Sonic agreeing hearing Shadow giggling a lil making Sonic facepalm. "We talked about how much Snickers bars you eat as it makes you hyper plus the cubs notice when that happens." he told him.
"Chocolate boosts happiness Sonic so it helps when I get sad." he replied to hin seeibg dinner was here telling the cubs to wash their paws hearing them do that then join them at the table digging in making Sonic and Shadow smile at this plus Miko was asking when they could play making Sonic chuckle. "Soon buddy." he replied to him seeing Moonie nodding as she was finishing dinner but was going to do art as it helped her keep calm which was why she'd enjoyed makihg her feelings pillow in class which Miko had noticed along with Shadow which he noticed when it was his or Sonic's birthday or the holidays.
"You ready to play ball, buddy." Miko heard Sonic asking making him excited grabbing his catcher's mitt making Shadow grin seeing them go outside seeing Moonie drawing noticing how calm she was being peeking over her shoulder she'd drawn herself as Supersonic Moonie making him impressed guessing she imagined about being this. "That's really cool honey and you're si giid at art." he told her ruffling her quill haur majibg her giggle softly as it was funny.
