A.N: Well... hi there.

I know it's been a hell of a long time since I graced you all with something, but here I am again. A lot of stuff has been happening since I've done anything on here. My family and I moved about two years ago and my granddad passed away shortly before said move. It was the first time I ever lost anyone that close to me and it royally sucked going through that.

I don't want to dwell on that now. I've got something here that I've been working on for a long while. It was inspired by Wraith002's story Angel of Iron. After reading it, I wanted to do my own Avengers/Carrie crossover, and so, I came up with this.

Now, you all get the chance to read it. There are some rough spots, yeah, but I'm still glad with how it turned out.

I hope you like it too, and of course, constructive criticism is welcome.

Hope you enjoy it!

(Quick note: The characters from Carrie are based on the 2013 remake. Also, imagine Josh Keaton's voice as the one for Spider-Man. I also searched the MARVEL multiverse database to make a number for a new reality where this story takes place as you will see.)

Chapter 1: Chamberlain

Note: I own nothing. Spider-Man belongs to Stan Lee and MARVEL Comics and Carrie belongs to Stephen King.

Earth-4713

He slowly opened his eyes, body sore and the scent of smoke instantly hitting his nostrils. The massive headache he had didn't help matters, either. A groan escaped his lips as he rubbed his head and blinked under his mask.

'What... happened?'

Spider-Man slowly stood up and saw that he was in the middle of nowhere. Next to him were small pieces of airship and Chitauri technology. Around him were small pockets of fire with some metal parts bearing the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo.

'How did I get here? Oh, yeah. Now I remember.'

Memories flooded his head. He was fighting Vulture and Shocker inside a S.H.I.E.L.D plane with alien tech that they tried to rob. They trashed the inside of the plane, knocking down crates filled with Arc Reactors, alien blasters and other things. Then at one point, Spider-Man knocked down Shocker to the floor with a kick.

Shocker, in return, picked up what he thought was a Chitauri blaster nearby. In reality, it was a prototype portal gun.

Vulture must've known what it was because the web slinger then heard him yell, "Schultz, no!"

At the same time, Spider-Man fired an experimental Electric Web that went right down the barrel of the weapon.

The result of this was an explosion that opened an out-of-control portal. Spider-Man tried to save himself and the two from being sucked into the portal, but he was knocked into it by some boxes of technology and pieces from the inside of the plane, which he hoped crashed into the ocean since he managed to get a glimpse of a beach before he entered the plane.

"Great.", he sighed.

He took out his phone to contact Nick Fury, but he had no signal.

"Figures."

In the distance, he saw the lights of a small city. Web zipping to the road, he saw a sign nearby that read:

Chamberlain: 5 miles

On the bottom left of the sign, it said State of Maine.

'Maine? Well, at least I'm still on Earth.'

He saw a big rig truck driving down the road, so he swung on top of it and hitchhiked his way into the town of Chamberlain.

When he entered the town, Spider-Man swung to the roof of a building and examined the town from it. It wasn't big, but it wasn't small either from the looks of it. If Vulture and Shocker ended up in the same place he did, they'd be here for sure. So far, it didn't look like they were here.

He leapt off and swung around the place more. According to the time in his phone, it was 10:47 P.M., so there weren't a lot of cars out and about. He didn't see anything that seemed odd or out of place or anything to indicate that Vulture or Shocker were here.

"Come on, there's gotta be something I can work with.", he said to himself.

Spider-Man landed on another rooftop and called Nick Fury now that he had signal.

'Oh, joy...', he sarcastically thought before answering the call.

"Spider-Man.", he heard Nick say.

"Fury.", he replied as calmly as he could.

'What in the hell happened in there, Parker? Where are you?", Fury questioned.

"A town in Maine. A portal opened up and now I'm here.", said Spider-Man.

"Portal? Maine? I guess that explains why we haven't found any of you yet. The plane crashed on a beach in Coney Island. It was empty, so at least there weren't any casualties or injuries. Have you found Toomes or Schultz?"

"No. I'm in a town called Chamberlain and I haven't found anything here. It's the closest place around from where I woke up. I'm positive they're here, but I haven't found anything definitive. You think you can send some S.H.I.E.L.D agents or anyone here for a little extra help?"

'Please say yes, please say yes.', the Avenger thought.

"I would, but I'm a bit short handed here, Spidey. I'd send another Avenger, but they're either dealing with something on their own or off world. It's sad for me to say it, but you're on your own for this, Spider-Man.", Fury replied.

Spider-Man sighed.

"Damn it.", he said. "Well, thanks anyway. I'll find those guys, I swear."

"I know you will. We'll put out an APB on those two, it's the least we can do for now. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a mess to clean up."

"Sorry about that, by the way.", the web head said before hanging up. "Well, that went a lot better than I expected. Gotta find at least something to make sure they're still here."

He leapt off and started swinging again through the town. He had to admit, the place looked nice. It seemed quiet, like a place where not a lot of things happened. He just hoped he catches Vulture and Shocker before they do something drastic. The last thing he wanted to happen was that the place was somehow trashed or even destroyed by them and everyone blames him for it.

After a few minutes of seeing nothing out of the ordinary, Spider-Man saw a small group of people, about five of them, in front of a closed bakery. They all wore black, had hoods over their heads, and he saw them carry things like lead pipes and saw a gun in a holster on one of them. The one in front of them punched through the glass on the door and unlocked it, letting the others inside.

"I guess no place is safe from guys like these.", he said.

He landed on a lamp post and saw them enter quickly.

'Let's see if the Spider-Signal works this time.'

"Come on guys, hurry up! Just grab the money and get out. Cops are gonna show up any minute now.", someone, presumably their leader, said in a hurried tone.

Everyone else was getting money from the registers when they were suddenly blinded by a red light. On the floor was an image of Spider-Man's mask. This was the Spider-Signal.

"You guys still open? Great, can I have a few of those red velvet cupcakes then? Hey, wait a second, you guys don't look like you work here!", said Spider-Man, now hanging upside down on the post.

"Holy shit, is that who I think it is?!", one of the thugs exclaimed.

"The hell is he doing here?!", asked another.

"Who cares! Waste him!", the leader said as he pulled out a gun.

"Whoa there, guys! Why don't we put down the guns and we can beat each other up like real gentl-"

Spider-Man didn't get to finish as the thug shot at him. He did a flip as he jumped down and shot a web at the gun. He pulled it away and flung it into a sewer drain. Everyone ran out with pipes and wrenches and began to attack him. One thug swung a pipe at him, but Spider-Man dodged the attack and webbed his eyes. Another tried to attack him from behind, but his Spider Sense rang and dodged it by jumping in the air and fired a web to the ground. He pulled on it and launched himself at the guy, punching him in the face hard and knocking him out.

Four to go.

The thug that got his eyes webbed managed to rip the webs off and again tried to hit him with his weapon, but the Avenger punched him with an uppercut and shot a web at him mid-air before pulling him down on another thug, knocking both of them out.

Two to go.

With Spider-Man's back turned towards him, the leader then took out another gun he hid underneath his jacket and shots at him. With his Spider Sense going off again, the web slinger effortlessly dodged the shots.

"Too slow!", Spider-Man quipped.

He fired a web at the gun and pulled it away. This time, he spun it around and launched it at the guy, hitting him in the head and knocking him to the ground. The other guy swung his wrench at Spider-Man, who dodged it and stuck himself to the wall before launching himself off it and punching him, knocking him to the ground. He then webbed the guy to the ground and focused on the last guy, who got up and picked up a pipe.

He ran at Spider-Man with it and swung it. The wall crawler dodged it by sliding under between the guy's legs and kicking him in the back and sending him back to the ground. Before he could get up, he webbed him to the ground as well. Spider-Man dusted his hands and took a deep breath.

"Finally, something to feel good for.", he said.

When he turned around, he saw that a small crowd had formed during the fight and they were recording everything. They were cheering, clapping and saying things like, "You rule, Spidey!". It made him smile.

'Ah, that's nice. At least something went well tonight. Hm, it may be a long shot, but maybe someone saw Vulture or Shocker.'

"Aw, thanks, it was nothing. Hey before I go, this might sound a bit weird, but have any of you seen a guy in a big metal bird costume or his buddy?", he asked them.

"I did!", someone said.

That someone was a little girl about 9 years old who was holding her mother's hand.

"You did? Where?", Spider-Man pressed.

The girl pointed to a row of small buildings not too far from where they were.

"I saw both of them over there. They fell from the sky and I heard an explosion too.", she said.

"Oh man, thanks for that. What's your name?", he then asked.

"Sarah.", she said with a smile.

"Thanks, Sarah.", Spider-Man said as he leapt and swung away.

A minute later, he was on the roof of a place called The Blue Ribbon. He saw parts of Vulture's wing that was most likely damaged from what happened on the plane and one of Shocker's gauntlets damaged beyond repair discarded behind the building. There were burn marks on the wing parts and gauntlet.

"Yep, they were here alright. Thanks again, Sarah. This happened a little while ago from the looks of it, but they couldn't have gotten far or left the town. So, they're probably still here, which is both good and bad. I don't have anything to start looking for them, so I'll need to unfortunately wait until I either hear from someone else, or one of them messes up.", he said to himself.

Then, he got another phone call. This time, it was from Mary Jane Watson, his girlfriend.

"Hey, MJ.", he said.

"Peter! Thank God! Are you alright?! I heard about the crash!", she said.

"Yeah, I'm good."

"Where are you? They haven't found any of you from what I heard."

Spider-Man sighed.

"It's a long story."

In an old warehouse on the other side of town, Adrian Toomes and Herman Schultz reflected on what happened tonight.

This was definitely not how it was supposed to go. Everything was going as smooth as butter until the web head showed up and ruined everything like usual. When they woke up here, Shocker tried to use the opportunity to kill an unconscious Spider-Man, but Toomes told him not to, much to his dismay. Much of the tech went with them, so he told him to grab as much as he could and just leave him there. They'd get away, Toomes said.

It looked like that was gonna be the case, but one of his wings started to malfunction and they crashed in town. During the fall, some of the stuff fell onto the town's streets and neighborhoods, so now any random Joe can take home a piece of invaluable tech with them and hang it up in their living rooms or man caves. Maybe even both.

"Bet you wish I killed him now, huh?", Herman said to Adrian.

"Shut up, Herman. Look, the damage isn't that bad. I can fix it with some of the stuff that we got, so it shouldn't take long to get it done. I could even make a few improvements to the suit. And don't worry about the gauntlet, I think there's something here that will satisfy you for the time being.", he replied.

"There better be, but what about when the web head shows again? Don't tell me we aren't killing him.", Herman said as he looked at the gauntlet that was damaged as a result of the explosion.

"We're not. We'll fix this shit, take everything else and go. If he does show, and he will, do whatever it takes to stop him, but don't kill him. We're not murderers."

Herman groaned.

"Fine.", he said.

"Good. Now, let's get started. I just wished I didn't drop that piece of Programmable Matter. That stuff would've been a big help.", Toomes lamented.

Said piece of tech dropped in front of a house a few miles away.

A girl with messy strawberry blonde hair and older looking clothes saw it on the grass and picked it up on her way to school the next morning. She looked at it with surprised and curious eyes. She looked around to see in anyone is watching her and when she saw no one, put it in her backpack.

That's how Carrie White's day started.

A.N: Well, that was the first chapter of Along Came a Spider. I hope you enjoyed it. I had some trouble with the fight scene, but I think it turned out alright. If you have any constructive criticism, feel free to leave it in the reviews.

See you all next time!
