Cyber awoke an hour later, groggy. She'd slammed her head hard against that electromagnet earlier. Second time in a day she'd lost consciousness, the canary hoped that didn't become a regular thing from here on out.
Looking around the room, she soon assessed her situation. Her feet and hands were being tightly held out by 4 smaller electromagnets, leaving her unable to move her limbs. Spike was leaned against a wall next to her, her hands held above her head by chains. "Bout time ya woke up." Spike said, before a new presence in the room drew the attention of both women.
It was the female dingo with the face mask from the video, but now the canary could more clearly see her dark grey fur, with red paint breaking it up across her body. She wore only a small black top and shorts to match, along with the standard red boots and gloves, and on her neck was a golden chain. She held up the earpiece Cyber had earlier given Spike. "We found this on the hedgehog. It looks like Prower Tech. Some kind of translation device, perhaps?" She put the device in her ear. "-How are YOU so familiar with the stuff Tails builds?-"
"The Dingo Squad takes what it can get for profit. It pays to know the value of such pieces." The dingo replied, before drawing her Hover Wispon and pointing it under Cyber's chin. "Now...WHERE IS XAVIER!?"
"-Where's WHO?-"
"DON'T PLAY GAMES WITH ME! I KNOW you took him!" The dingo screamed, pushing the Wispon harder underneath Cyber's throat. "Might want to ease up on the threats, girlie. Doubt she wants to tell you much of anything after you beat up her man, left her for scrap, and traumatized their kid." Spike interjected.
"-Well, Raccoon isn't really our...Wait, I...I guess he KINDA is! YOU TRAUMATIZED OUR KID!-" Cyber said, her emotions suddenly spiking. "What my squad did to them was business. What your 'Restoration' did was personal." The dingo spat out, equally enraged. "I know how they murdered my father in cold blood! And when my brother was a witness, you locked him into some deep, dark corner of the Earth to rot!"
"-Your brother? Wait...You're Xenia, aren't you? The daughter of the Alpha Dingo!-"
"Finally, you realize." Xenia muttered, before taking off her face mask and sitting down on a nearby metal crate. "I went to rescue them after that blue hedgehog went away...I'd stealthily placed a tracker on their transport. But before I could get there, I found it overturned, and my father's body already cold. Broken by your 'friends' in the Restoration. My brother was long gone. But rather than dwell in my grief, I chose to rise and take my father's place. I took up his body markings and face mask, to honor him, and lead the Dingo Squad towards a better future."
"Yeesh, hope you at least WASHED that mask first." Spike commented, before Cyber did a head motion to tell her not to make light of this current situation. "-Xenia, I know you've been through a lot, but I can assure you, the Restoration had nothing to do with all of this.-"
"LIAR!" Xenia yelled as she slapped Cyber across the face. "I WILL find my brother, I WILL have my revenge, and YOU are going to ROT here until I get what I want!" The young dingo stormed out of the room, leaving Spike and Cyber alone once again. Spike shifted a bit, uncomfortable in her chains. "So...I only caught about half of that conversation, but it didn't sound that good."
"!" Cyber beeped at her in a tone that indicated the hedgehog was right. "Well, desperate times and all that." Spike muttered. before reaching one of her hands behind her head and yanking out one of her quills. "Ahh! Gonna go bald if I keep on doing this!" She said, before using the quill to pick the lock on one of her wrists. She soon followed it up by freeing her other wrist, and then deactivating the electromagnets holding Cyber in place. "You alright?"
"!" Cyber beeped, indicating her shaky, yet stable condition. "Oh, we'll have to get that translator back, pronto! Come on!"
