Allowing Selfishness

How does one handle working alongside their long-time crush now turned lover... Fareeha had to learn about that on the go. Whenever she saw that perfectly made ponytail and pretty blue eyes she had to remind herself that she wasn't constantly on a date with Angela because the medic might not be there for her.

It was hard, almost impossible to keep her joy to herself when said medic turned her attention to her, "Something you need, Fareeha?" She'd ask with a knowing smile and a glint in her eye.

The soldier would have to make herself scarce fast so she didn't occupy too much of Angela's time, although Angela was a professional even when she teased the younger woman.

"Do you want to stay over tonight?" The blonde asked from her spot down on the couch. Her nails kept running patters on the back of Fareeha's neck, making it hard to focus, her kisses making it hard to breathe, she was sure there was lipstick all over her too. "I hate that rejected look you give me while we're working."

"What look?" Was there a look?

"That one." Angela poked Fareeha's cheek, running her finger along the slightly paler scar that had yet to fully heal. "We're lovers now, Fareeha. You're allowed to be a little selfish with me you know. I don't mind it."

The soldier's heart skipped a long beat in her chest, "Is... is that a fact? Then could I selfishly steal you away for a flight beneath the stars this weekend night?"

"I'd love to fly with you. There's no one I'd rather share the skies with. As long as you don't try anything weird while we're in the air." Angela teased, Fareeha quickly blushing at the accusation.

"I wouldn't do that!" Or would she?
