rin gently and lovingly ran her slender, pale fingers through the adorable gray bunny's fur. The pink, velvet cradle swayed softly, as if blown by an invisible breeze as the bunny's foot twitched in its sleep.
the blonde girls large, endless dark blue eyes held love and affection as a soft, quiet hum escaped her thin, glossy, inviting pale pink lips. The Plot Bunny nursery was brightly colored and calming, the middle was white and the sides were a bright lush green, made to look like grass with small flowers. Most were colored either dark orange or pale orange with a few bright red. Mostly black flowers dotted the edges of the field and the sky was filled rolling pale gray, almost white clouds.
rin's eyes flickered upward, heart briefly picking up speed at the fact the rolling, peaceful looking clouds were a reference to a music video the author loved. The girl, stuck at age fourteen along with her twin, refocused on the peaceful sleeping Plot Bunny before her. The large space was filled with self rocking cradles, each containing a pale furred, sleeping, bunny with no hint to the full fledged story they would eventually become. The girl's large blue eyes slipped closed as her fingers carded through soft, impossibly fluffy, fur, taking in quiet and peaceful atmosphere.
"Rin! Rin! RIN!" The solid double doors, which were painted a very pale shade of off white, burst open to reveal a crying Len. The blonde boys large dark blue eye were watery, filled with silver, anime-ish tears as some trailed down his cheeks in thin streams. Eyes flying open, Rin fought down the mixture of anger and annoyance as she whipped her head around, gaze bright and glaring.
"What Len!?" She asked sharply, voice holding a note of anger. How dare he interrupt their peacefully sleeping, fluffy children! To her surprise, and relief, it seemed everyone was unaffected by Len's out burst.
"I'm worried about the author," He admitted, "she hasn't had an idea in…." The boy trailed off, taking in the colorful, large space before him with wide eyes, mouth opened in awe.
the twin's hair was ruffled as a fresh, cool breeze blew through the nursey and Rin felt her lips twitch as ghost of a smile appeared there. Len was still speechless and, if she wasn't as well, she'd giggle at how silly he looked. Both felt warm, as if sunlight was filling them up from the inside out, as their toes tingled.
rin's heart picked up speed once more as her eyes flickered to her brothers lips, noticing how…..inviting and kissable they are. She mentally shakes the thought away as she hears him plop down on the floor next to her. The girl doesn't have to look at him to know he's threading his slender, pale, white fingers through the seemingly random tufts of soft, bright green grass sparkled throughout the nursery. She can almost feel his eyes slip closed as he absorbs the soothing atmosphere, back arched slightly as he takes it all in.
she briefly wonders of he can feel the authors joy as the (heavy) dark, threatening storm clouds parted and muted golden sunlight spilled in as inspiration (finally) struck.
(A momentary smile makes her lips twitch as an image flashes in her mind of what exactly the older girl was thinking about when she typed the previous sentence.)
"Hey, Rin?" Len's voice breaks the calming, blissful silence….but just barely.
the girl hums softly in acknowledgment, looking down at him. She surprised to see a faint, barely noticeable blush spread across his cheeks before he phases the question weighting heavily on his mind.
"Do you think….." His voice trails off as he looks at the ground beneath him, fingers lightly flexing in the soft, vibrant grass, "we were born or made?"
rin inwardly winced as her gaze flickers upwards, pretending to 'think' about the disturbing question…for all of half a second before her hand hit the back of Len's head with a loud, triumphant cry.
"BAD THOUGHTS LEN!" She scolded as he blinked owlishly, seeming to take a moment to process the pain before his hand rubbed the sore, aching, tender spot. He offered a sheepish, apologetic smile, knowing where that type of thinking would lead.
"The author loves us way too much to give us an Existential Crisis." Rin voiced what they both were thinking as the twin's felt themselves get warm once more from head to toe. She huffed, shooting her twin a half hearted glare before turning her upper body away, arms crossed over her chest.
len was gripped with sadness and it suddenly felt as if a thin, yet heavy dark gray cloud hovered above them, threatening to unleash cold, stinging rain.
orange flickered in his vision and Len turned his head, eyes landing on a small, delicate looking orange flower. He leaned forward to gently plunk it from the ground as a thin trail of shimmers swirled before a new flower sprouted. Eyes brightened as he quickly, yet carefully, picked another one and a plan formed in he mind as he looped the thin green stem around.
"Rin, I have a surprise for you." He declared, on his knees before her as he held the flower ring like an offering. His heart beat faster as she kneeled as well and two pairs of gleaming sapphire eyes met. Len placed the flower ring on his sisters slim, pale finger.
the delicate looking orange flower had streaks of paler orange in the creases of the soft petals, as if the author had lovingly painted them on. The other one, held against the randomly placed tufts and vibrant green paint, was a bright, eye catching, dark orange. Len's heart beat hard, sputtering in his chest as he placed it in her short, blonde hair, hand lovingly caressing her cheek. The atmosphere had since returned to normal, well almost…
rin leaned her cheek into her brothers hand, softly closing her eyes as electricity danced under their skin. A small, blissful smile seemed to have found itself on her lips and Len found himself unable to look anywhere else as he slowly leaned in. The boy felt the light pressure of a hand on his cheek as he scooted closer, their lips softly meeting in a tender, passionate kiss.
len tilted his head, deepening the kiss as he pulled her closer. He felt Rin shiver against him and a soft, pleased sound escaped her throat, making his heart speed up inside his chest and pound faintly in his ears. His pale, slender fingers splayed over her back as pale orange flashed in his minds eye, the color slowly giving way to a coherent image, like a blurry picture coming into focus.
a fierce blush took over his cheeks as he saw himself and Rin — slightly older — as his darkened eyes gleamed with desire at the sight of her in lacey, inviting, tempting pale orange lingerie. He noticed darker orange highlighting her more… 'intimate' areas as she placed a small, dainty hand on his cheast, eyes doe-ish and questioning. A warm tingle like dying fireworks started at the back of his neck, slowly spreading down his body as Rin let out a surprising, somewhat reluctant, mewl, pressing firmer against him.
he stiffened briefly as he realized what the image meant and he could practically feel her have the same though as him, 'Why do I feel like the author has something big planned for us?'
they opened their eyes at the same time, the action slow and lazy and Len snickered inwardly as his sisters lashes fluttered like butterfly's wings, looking like the main character in a Shoujo manga before filling was disappoint as they pulled away, a thin strain of saliva connecting their semi glossy, fragile, rose petal lips.
the twins moved so their backs were firmly against a soft colored wall, looking up at the rolling, pale storm clouds. Rin's lips still tingled warmly from her brothers kiss and her heart beat loudly in her chest with bubbling emotion as she took his hands in hers. Their eyes locked, darkened and full of new found emotions.
"Len," The girl took a deep breath, feeling choked by the words inside her throat, "… I love you."
"I love you, Rin." They shared another tender, passionate kiss before Rin laid her head on his shoulder.
