"LV 95 should be impossible. LV 20 alone would require loads of deaths. Frisk, get away from that... thing." There goes gravity. I'm pretty sure this skeleton just slammed me against a wall and before I can react, there are bones piercing my body.

"Sans, wait. She did nothing wrong sh-"

"Nothing wrong?! Look, kid. I know she helped with the defense last week but she is LV 95. We dont know what alterior motives she has." Frisk is arguing with Sans the entire time I am impaled on these bones. LV 95... good to know the ring Eric gave me works but not as well as I would like. "Just CHECK for yourself, Frisk."

"Fine, I wi-" I dont like that silence. I raise my head to look at Frisk and there it is... my true LV. "LV of... 428? Th-this is impossible." I feel it as the bones twist in my body, causing me to groan in pain.

"OK, I can tell this is going south. Guess it's time to drop the helpless act." I use my Soul to freeze the bones impaling me and break free... and the world turned black and white. Great, Soul Combat.

"Lucy has refused to die." Those words appeared before Frisk. Determination is one hell of a Soul.

"Frisk, run." The skeleton, Sans, has plenty of those blasters preparing to light me up. "Get everyone out of the Underground."

"Now, now. No need to run nor keep fighting." I put my hands up in the air and whince. "Poison... on a time limit."

"If you arent going to fight then please explain why your LV is..." I look at Frisk and sigh. Poor thing prolly never thought I had blood on my hands.

"Alright, I'll explain... just end the Soul Battle alright? MERCY is right there. You should see I'm yellow." I nod to the MERCY box and sure enough I'm yellow. I relax as the Soul Battle ends but Sans was still ready to open fire on me. "Right, I'll explain... everything. From my LV to my past."

"Not here. Lets go Grilby's. I know a shortcut." I look at the skeleton curiously but upon being motioned to, I follow Sans and Frisk in a... completely different direction than I expected but the moment I blinked, we are now suddenly in a bar. "Grilb's, the usual." Sans sat a counter where a flame headed bartender was working and Frisk sat one side of Sans so I sat opposite side. "Right, explain before I become a bit too... HOT HEADED." He motioned to the bartender, Grilby, and I can now feel a smile creep across my face.

"Alright, just... try not to burn me to quickly."

When I was a little girl, I werent born to a loving family. I was the result of a drunken night out... where only my father went out and refused to acknowledge the word 'No.' By the time I was 5, every day was threats of violence and worse until one day it happened. My mom and dad finally lost it. Mom tried to drown me, dad found her and shoved her, saying 'that isnt how it's done' but that little bit of breath and freedom was all I needed. My Soul finally activated and I froze the entire bathroom... deep freeze that killed every thing in the ice. I just sat there, on the frozen bath water terrified out of my mind and the ice was spreading further and further until neighbours finally gave a shit. Reported the ice and police came to investigate... Police ended up caught in the ice and losing limbs so an experienced detective with a Yellow Soul... the Justice Soul, came and bypassed the ice. He saw me, curled up in clothes that were barely holding themselves together, my bruises, my cuts, the handmarks around my throat... he was so gentle as he realized what was happening. It took him an hour to calm me down and by then, the neighbours had to evacuate their houses before they were caught by the ice.

Eri-... the detectives arms made me feel safe for the first time in 5 years. Took the police a week to get rid of all the ice. They couldn't even melt the ice until day 4. Eventually, all evidence was compiled and everyone learned of my abuse. Some neighbours were sued by the detective on my behalf due to them not saying anything for the past 5 years and then the detective took me in... Eric became my dad for better or worse. I werent popular in schools so I was always lonely and Eric had to teach me to control my Soul after I almost freeze dried a kids eyeballs for punching me. Then, 13 years later, I got wrapped up in a mercenary gang because I got a little too cocky on a drunken night out... they used me to kill a lot of people all while keeping me in Ebott City. Eric knew about it but he knew I couldnt get out alive so he tried his best to delay police. Despite having the least physically active role, I slaughtered over four thousand people before losing count. Using my Soul became the easiest thing to do, even more so than breathing or blinking but all at the expense of so many lives... some of them were innocent but majority were rivals and enemies of the gang. Ten years, I was doing this for. Werent until a week before the Asgore and 6 fallen children court case that I got out... by slaughtering the entire gang. They only knew I could freeze stuff, didnt know I could also increase the temperature and I burned them all alive. Their deaths contributed for one hundred Levels Of Violence... just that 31. I told and showed Eric my LV and he gave me a ring to lower my LV on checks so it's far less obvious. I know I'm a monster. I know I fucked up in getting involved with them. But I plan on making up for it all... And the truth behind my Twin Soul is it was created by me and the lingering Soul of another Light Soul from the Human/Monster war... the Light Soul of Chiara, one of very few humans who tried to defend Monsters... she was burned at the stake as a Monster sympathising witch. Turns out before dying, she swore to punish the people and shed light on humanities true enemy... itself. I lie about the truth regularly because I don't want people expecting too much of me.

"So, that's my history." I look at Frisk and Sans. Frisk did seem to give a reaction to the name Chiara which I will admit is similar to the name Chara... maybe I should do a history search later to see if there's any relation.

"So you had a COLD life and want to make up for it." Damn this skeleton and his puns... they're actually getting smiles out of me. "10 years of murder and violence until recently. You got a lot of work to do, kid."

"Dont call me kid, I get enough of it from Eric." Sans has now begun laughing at me and is patting my head. He and Eric are way too similar... maybe I should introduce the two later.

"Ah, come on. Have a little SOUL." I groan and rest my head on the bar countertop, stifling a laugh... and Frisk giggling at the puns was not helping. "Alright then, kid. You have had a rough life and admit to your mistakes. I won't take my eyes off you yet but you're in the clear to stick around." I look at Sans with a smile. "Hey, Grilb's. I'm going home... put the order on my tab, wontcha?" And before Grilby can stop him, Sans was gone. While I'm looking at the space Sans was just at, I feel a hand wrap around mine and look to see Frisk.

"I knew you weren't a bad person. Come on, it's late. We should go to the Ruins. Toriel will take care of us for the night." Before I can speak, Frisk was dragging me off. "See you later, Mister Grilby." And now we're outside of the bar... there's snow everywhere. Actual snow that cronched beneath my feet without me having to use my Soul to make it more snow like.

"Wait, we're going in the opposite direction of the Dreemurr Castle, aint we?"

"Yeah but thats where Asgore lives. Toriel isn't comfortable sharing a home with him yet." The entire walk, Frisk was humming. I couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt at the fact if I didnt betray the mercenaries, Frisk could have ended up being a target. Eventually we reached the Ruins and there Toriel was. After some hello's and eating some butterscotch/cinnamon pie, we went to separate rooms. I didnt even get to know Frisk's answer about what I came here for... maybe in the morning.
