The petite blonde made her way back out of the train and onto the station platform hand-in-hand with Harry. Either the green-eyed wizard did not mind it, or he had not noticed, which in Luna's mind may very well be a good thing. The young witch had not been able to gather her courage again to try and express how she felt about him, because any time she tried something seemed to happen to prevent it. Though she still made sure that her actions conveyed how much he meant to her. As they approached the group the pair seemed comfortable enough to walk in companionable silence. The wind and the dark giving off a sense of foreboding of things to come.

Luna, Hermione, Ginny, Ron, Neville, and Harry were the last to get into the carriages and slowly make their way to Hogwarts. The carriage was cramped, but no one complained. Luna leaned on Harry as though he were a pillow. In an effort to gain more comfort and being so close to Harry was an added bonus in Luna's mind. The petite blonde swiftly fell into daydreams slowly interlocking their hands and giving a gentle squeeze. As the carriage meandered up the winding road up to the castle from Hogsmeade Station the group chatted amicably. Hermione suggested that they start up the DA again depending on the quality of this years teacher. Harry nodded; he would not mind tutoring his friends again. Sometimes even with a competent teacher it can be effective to see or hear a different approach to the topic.

The sorting passed as it always did with little note occurring. The ceiling displayed the dark clouds that were the storm outside. Harry's emerald eyes scanned the staff table the only staffing change that he notices was that an overweight wizard well along in years appeared to be the new defense against the dark arts teacher. Or at least that was Harry's assumption. Then, as Dumbledore began his announcements as he did every year the group seemed to tune out although quiet out of respect for the headmaster. Then, a sense of foreboding fell over the room as Dumbledore got the staff changes, "I am pleased to announce the return to our beloved institution, an old friend of mine Professor Horace Slughorn. He will be taking over potions as this year's defense against the dark arts professor is none other than our own, Professor Severus Snape. Good luck professor!"

Luna walked over to the Gryffindor table and gave each of her friends a quick hug. She noticed Harry slowly melting into her embrace as though he had needed such contact. She knows that he was not really used to physical affection. While the blonde pureblood knew that not all muggles were so despicable the ones that Harry lived with the last few years certainly were. She also knew that in spite of her supportive intent Augusta Longbottom was not the warmest person. So, that meant that he would only really experienced hugs occasionally from the Weasley's and Hermione.

Hermione had not been the only thinking about starting up the DA again. As they made their way out of the great hall Ernie MacMillan approached the Hufflepuff table. The boy who had in the past come off overconfident and pompous had steadily become a loyal supporter though not to the same extent as Harry's core group of friends. The Hufflepuff boy spoke clearly and precisely, "Hi Harry! You had a good summer, I hope. Justin and I were talking over the summer and thought that you should do the DA lessons again. It was super helpful; I scored a whole level higher than I would have otherwise. Thank you." Harry was taken aback and could barely get out, "thank you Ernie. We will be setting a meeting soon so watch your coin."

As the group dwindled down to just Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and Neville they walked in silence, each contemplating what to cover next in the DA lessons. As they entered the common room Harry went up and got a book out of his trunk that he had borrowed from the Longbottom family library. It was on occlumency and silent casting. It was interesting and something that Harry knew could be dead useful in a fight. Ron moaned, "NO there is three of you now." Harry glanced up at Ron's proclamation and noticed that Neville and Hermione were also curled up with books by the fire. After about an hour Harry was struggling to keep his eyes open and made his way up the stairs to the sixth-year boys dorms. Ron and Neville followed shortly thereafter, because when Harry came out from the shower and changing into pajamas, he found them gathering their supplies to follow suit.

As the Harry went to sleep, he drifted off into dreams of a future without death and dark lords and death eaters creating chaos. The kind of future where he could consider doing something about a certain petite blonde and how he felt about her and have a family. The green-eyed boy's mind drifted off to see a beautiful simple cottage decorated in blue with white and bronze accents, a garden filled with flowers in blue and yellow. The beautiful picture made it all the more complete as two children ran out the door of the cottage with dark hair. The boys hair was a mess similar to his own, but with blue-grey eyes. The beautiful girl resembled Luna more in features though her hair too was dark, but thick and long, styled to frame her face accenting the high cheek bones that were common to pureblood families. He watched as they began to run and start tossing a quaffle between them.

Suddenly, Harry jolted awake he could feel anger and it was definitely not his own. Harry took out an enchanted journal that Augusta had suggested he pick up in Diagon alley and began to record the date, dream, and how it made him feel and then what caused him to wake up. The exact feeling and from what it was coming. The reaction was something he would need to talk to Dumbledore about.
