The bonfire crackled and roared, casting a warm, flickering light over the gathered tribe. The aroma of roasting meat and fragrant herbs filled the air as everyone settled down to enjoy the feast. Laughter and chatter rose and fell like the waves of a gentle sea, creating a cozy, festive atmosphere.
Kagome sat comfortably in Kouga's lap, nestled against his chest as they shared a plate of food. Around them, other couples were similarly positioned, the females contentedly perched on their mates' laps, basking in the shared warmth and closeness.
Kagome leaned back a bit, resting her head on Kouga's shoulder and feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. She reached her arm around his waist, her fingers brushing against the soft fur of his tail. Kouga stiffened slightly at her touch, his eyes glancing down at her with a mix of curiosity and surprise.
Kagome smiled up at him, her fingers continuing their subtle exploration. She stroked the base of his tail with gentle, teasing movements, her touch light and delicate. Kouga's breath hitched, and he instinctively tightened his arm around her, pulling her even closer.
"Enjoying yourself?" he murmured, his voice a low, husky whisper in her ear.
Kagome nodded, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Just making sure you're comfortable," she replied innocently, her fingers never ceasing their gentle caress.
Kouga shivered, his body reacting to her touch in ways he hadn't expected. He shifted slightly, trying to maintain his composure as the sensation sent tingles up his spine. "You're full of surprises, aren't you?" he whispered, his voice thick with emotion.
Kagome's smile widened, a flush spreading across her cheeks. "I'm just getting started," she said softly, her hand sliding a bit lower to explore the sensitive area at the very base of his tail.
Kouga couldn't suppress a low growl of pleasure, his eyes darkening with desire. He leaned in, his lips brushing against her ear. "Keep this up, and I won't be able to wait until later," he warned, his voice a heated promise.
Kagome's heart raced at his words, excitement bubbling up inside her. "Maybe that's the idea," she whispered back, her fingers continuing their sly, sensual dance.
The fire crackled, and the sounds of laughter and conversation swirled around them, but for Kouga and Kagome, the world had narrowed to the intimate space they shared, their connection deepening with every passing moment. As they sat together, the warmth of the bonfire and the closeness of their bodies creating a cocoon of intimacy, they knew that tonight was only the beginning of a new chapter in their story.
Kouga's eyes sparkled with mischief and tenderness as he reached for a piece of roasted meat from their shared plate. "Here, eat up," he said, his voice a playful murmur, "You'll need your energy for the night ahead."
Kagome blushed, her heart fluttering at the implication. She opened her mouth, allowing Kouga to gently feed her. The meat was succulent and flavorful, a taste she savored even more because of the intimate gesture. She chewed thoughtfully, her eyes never leaving his.
Kouga continued to feed her, offering her bites of roasted vegetables, fruits, and other delicacies. Each morsel was given with a look of adoration and a touch that sent shivers down her spine. She accepted each offering with a growing sense of anticipation, feeling the connection between them deepen with every bite.
Around them, the bonfire continued to burn brightly, casting dancing shadows over the gathering. The other couples were lost in their own worlds, sharing whispered conversations and quiet laughter, but for Kouga and Kagome, the night held a special promise.
Kagome leaned back against Kouga's chest, feeling the strength and warmth of his body envelop her. She reached up to caress his cheek, her fingers trailing along his jawline. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice soft and sincere.
Kouga caught her hand, bringing it to his lips for a tender kiss. "Anything for you," he replied, his eyes holding a depth of emotion that made her heart skip a beat.
Kagome felt a surge of affection for the wolf prince, her heart swelling with love and gratitude. "I'm so lucky to have you," she said softly, her voice barely audible over the crackling fire.
Kouga tightened his arms around her, resting his chin on the top of her head. "No, Kagome," he murmured, his voice filled with conviction, "I'm the lucky one."
They sat together in comfortable silence for a while, the sounds of the festival fading into the background as they enjoyed the simple pleasure of being in each other's company. The bonfire's warmth, the scent of the feast, and the gentle caress of the night breeze created a perfect moment, one that Kagome knew she would cherish forever.
As the night drew on and the festival continued in full swing, Kouga and Kagome found themselves slipping away from the lively crowd. Kouga's strong arms lifted Kagome effortlessly, and she instinctively wrapped her legs around his waist, her hands coming to rest on his shoulders.
"Kouga," she murmured, her voice breathless with excitement and anticipation.
He gave her a playful, roguish smile. "Hold on tight, Kagome."
Kagome's heart raced as Kouga began to walk back towards the den, his steps sure and confident. The sounds of the festival faded into the background as they moved through the dimly lit tunnels. The bioluminescent moss cast an ethereal glow, illuminating their path with a soft, otherworldly light.
Unable to resist the urge, Kagome leaned forward and pressed her lips to Kouga's, initiating a passionate kiss. Kouga responded eagerly, his lips moving against hers with a hunger that sent shivers down her spine. Each kiss deepened their connection, making the journey back to their room feel both endless and far too short.
Their kisses grew more fervent with each step, their breaths mingling in the cool air of the tunnel. Kouga's hands roamed over Kagome's back, pulling her closer as he walked. The feel of her body against his, her warmth, and the taste of her lips drove him wild with desire.
Kagome's fingers threaded through Kouga's hair, holding him close as she kissed him with all the pent-up longing she'd been feeling. Her heart pounded in her chest, a mix of nervous excitement and pure, unadulterated desire coursing through her veins. She could feel Kouga's muscles tense under her touch, his body responding to her every move. She ground her hips into his trying to release some of the tension, rubbing her heat over his solid length between her thighs. Kouga pulled back gasping "Ka- Kagome…" She didnt let him finish as she pulled his mouth back to hers, their tongues battling for dominance, her fingers caressing his ears.
When they finally reached the entrance to their private den, Kouga paused, leaning against the doorframe for support. He broke the kiss, panting softly as he looked into Kagome's eyes, his own filled with a fiery intensity. "Are you ready for this?" he whispered, his voice low and husky.
Kagome nodded, her eyes locked on his. "I've never been more ready," she replied, her voice barely more than a whisper.
With a determined look, Kouga pushed open the door and carried Kagome inside. The room was bathed in the gentle glow of the bioluminescent moss, casting a romantic light over the furs and pillows that adorned their bed. Kouga gently lowered Kagome onto the soft bedding, his lips never leaving hers as he joined her.
They continued to kiss, their bodies pressing close together as they explored each other with a newfound intimacy. Kagome's hands roamed over Kouga's back, feeling the hard muscles beneath his skin, while his hands traced the curves of her waist and hips pulling on the ties that held her furs together.
As the night stretched on, their kisses grew slower, more languid, filled with a tenderness that spoke of deep affection and a bond that went beyond mere physical attraction. Kouga pulled back slightly, his forehead resting against Kagome's as they caught their breath.
"I love you, Kagome," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion.
"I love you too, Kouga," she replied, her eyes shining with unshed tears of happiness.
In that moment, surrounded by the warmth of their bed and the soft glow of the moss, they knew they had found something truly special. The rest of the world faded away, leaving only the two of them and the love they shared, ready to face whatever the future might bring, together.
So I tried to write a lemon for this one, I really did. I have discovered that not only do I not seem to be any good at it, I am just into fluff for this story. So, sorry there's no good details and lemony goodness, I'll give it a good practice on my own, and we'll see about later on in this story and/or others. Sorry for any disappointment!
