Erin's POV
Zane was grinning ear to ear. I was in his room filling him in on the details of my interaction with Kaiba.
"Get that damn smirk off your face" I growled.
"Sis if Kaiba kissed you on the forehead it means he likes you"
I was still reliving that simple peck in my mind. He would have continued laughing if it hadn't been the "Holy Shit" look that suddenly came to his face. I arched an eyebrow waiting for Zane to spill the beans. My elder sibling then went red.
"Uh it looks like it might be your turn to tease me my mate is on this blimp"
"Are you serious?" I asked. "Who is it?"
Zane shook his head.
"I don't know but she's certainly on board"
The only women on board besides myself were Mai, Tea, and Serenity.
"You did blush at meeting Mai" I traded giving Zane a poke.
"She's a beautiful woman you can't blame me"
I chuckled before giving my brother a hug.
"I'm happy for you big bro, let's just hope your female doesn't keep you waiting for too long"
"Thanks, sis"
The next duel wasn't happening until a half-hour so I left Zane to plan for his duel. I also wanted to see Ryou. His room was empty when I arrived and Ryou looked peaceful as he slept.
"Nice of you to visit my Moonlight"
I jumped and turned around to see Bakura in spirit form. He wore his signature smirk and it was sexy.
"So your just hovering around?" I demanded.
"For the time being yes, Balerion's attack weakened me and I need to regain my strength"
"If I could I would exorcise your ass out of Ryou" I hissed.
"No, you wouldn't Erin"
Bakura's tone became firm.
"You had a vision of us my love in our past life, what did you see?
"And why should I tell you? All I know you're just trying to manipulate me into getting what you want"
"That isn't true"
Bakura stepped forward until he was directly in front of me.
"I loved you with every fiber of my being Erin, and gods I still do, but it would seem another seeks your affection"
Shit, he's talking about Kaiba I thought.
"Kaiba is not worthy of your love Erin, he cares nothing but himself and his brother"
"You don't know that" I countered. I felt tears coming to my face, and I did not want to shed them in front of Bakura. "You can't tell someone how they feel about someone"
"And tell me my Moonlight what is it you feel for Seto Kaiba? Yet alone me?"
"That's not fair you bastard"
"Life isn't fair sometimes my love"
"I don't have an answer for you"
I just didn't know how I felt for both men.
"I have waited for thousands of years for you Erin, I can wait a bit longer but remember I will never hurt you ever, or that of your loved ones"
Then like Kaiba did Bakura kissed my forehead before disappearing.
"Damn it" I growled.
Kaiba's POV
Mokuba wolf-whistled after I admitted to kissing Erin on the forehead.
"I knew it your crushing on her"
"Kid I need to focus on my upcoming duel not think about getting a girlfriend"
"Seto, will you just forget about dueling for a minute?"
Mokuba's sharp tone caught me off guard.
"I'm not an idiot Seto, you like Erin and it's obvious she likes you back"
That made me smirk a little because Mokuba was right. Erin Randall did like me back because she was always blushing whenever I was around her.
"So you think I should take a chance and just ask her out?"
"Not right away Seto, these things take time, it's called dating"
"I know what dating is Mokuba"
Mokuba smirked.
"What?"
"You just blushed"
"Don't be ridiculous"
Mokuba rolled his eyes and it made me chuckle.
"I know you also get jealous whenever another guy is near Erin"
"Well you can't exactly blame me she's a beautiful young woman"
I then swore realizing I just confessed to saying Erin was beautiful. And Mokuba's smirk was wider now and I simply face palmed.
Thirty Minutes Later.
Erin's POV
"Alright it's time for the next duel good luck," Mokuba said as the Blue Eyes Ultimate machine came to life again.
It didn't take long for Duelist Number 2 and that was Joey's number. His opponent was the guy who had the tattoos on his face.
Supposedly the duelist was Marik Ishtar. He was the bastard who tried to control my mind via the Rare Hunter but I didn't buy Joey's opponent was Marik. My suspicions were on Namu being the real Marik. It wasn't long until we were on the sidelines of the dueling arena with the others while Joey and his opponent stood in their respective places. I couldn't help but chuckle at Joey's failed attempt to try and intimidate the tattooed human male.
Suddenly I had another vision from my past life. Again I saw myself as Mareena and before me was Kaiba.
Holy shit he's hot I thought as I took in Kaiba's past self.
I couldn't hear what Kaiba's past self was saying but it was obvious Mareena was very upset about something. She was crying hard and the priest looked guilty. Then he drew Mareena into his arms trying to console her but instead, Mareena tried to push him away. My eyes then went wide as Kaiba's past self seized a kiss from Mareena and my past self stopped fighting.
She then closed her eyes and let the priest continue kissing her. Then I was brought back to reality with a revelation. Like with Zane, my mate was also present on this blimp and now I stared at him. Seto mother freaking Kaiba was my mate. I couldn't bloody believe it. But it would explain about the visions of him seeing a silver Nine-Tailed Fox, that fox was me.
"Sis the duel is starting" Zane nudged me.
"Are you okay Erin?" Yugi asked.
"Yeah"
I was still in shock to be honest that Kaiba was the male I was destined for. It didn't help that I also had unknown feelings for Bakura too.
Kaiba's POV
Erin looked like she just saw a ghost and it worried me. I would keep an eye on her during the duel.
Erin's POV
Joey made his first draw and the others cheered him on. Well until the wind decided to blow hard and the goofy blonde scrambled to prevent his cards from blowing away and I smirked as a card was clenched in Joey's teeth.
"Man he's a goof" Zane mumbled.
"Be nice" I growled at him while Serenity told her older brother nice catch. Back in position Joey started the duel off with Gearfried the Iron Knight and ended his turn.
His opponent played a magic card called "Temple of the Kings". A literal temple appeared behind the tattooed male and he explained the magic card limited the number of magic and trap cards that could be played in one turn. Joey's opponent lay two cards face down and concluded his turn daring for Joey to attack.
"Come on Joey! Teach this guy a lesson!" Tristan encouraged the goofy blonde to attack.
"Attacking is too risky" Duke reminded Tristan.
"Agreed Marik has those face downs and I guarantee their traps" Zane added.
"I got a bad feeling about that temple" I stated feeling uneasy about the Temple of the Kings.
"Quoting Star Wars now sis?"
I shot Zane the bird and Yugi blushed. Joey looked nervous and you couldn't blame him. The blonde shot his cards a glance no doubt thinking of his next move. Then he brought out Little-Winguard in attack mode and concluded his turn. Marik placed two more cards face down and his turn also ended. Joey's next monster was Hayabusa Knight in attack mode and then he played Giant Trunade.
Good move buddy with that magic card you can destroy all magic and trap cards sending them to the graveyard.
A white funnel appeared and made its way toward Marik but instead of destroying the face-down cards Giant Trunade's winds began to weaken.
"The hell?" Zane and I asked in unison.
"Your Giant Trunade triggered one of my trap cards"
Marik revealed his first trap card Judgement of Anubis.
"Damn it that's a bad card for Joey" Zane growled.
"How so?" Serenity wondered looking at my brother.
"That card will destroy not only Giant Trunade but also all of his monsters and half of their attack points will be deducted from Joey's life points"
Joey swore as his monsters were destroyed and he lost 2100 life points now leaving the blonde with 1900 left.
"Oi! Don't get discouraged Joey just stay calm and focused!" I shouted.
Serenity joined in but I heard Marik taunt Joey which made me annoyed.
Smug bastard, I thought.
Marik again placed two more cards face down and concluded this turn.
"Alright now I'm getting annoyed," Zane said with a hint of frustration. "Not at Joey but with that tattooed guy"
Joey was also getting frustrated.
"You know the game is called Duel Monsters right? You're supposed to attack with monster cards not just behind traps"
"If you can find a rule that prevents me from using trap cards I'll cease playing them"
After making his draw Joey brought out Alligator Sword and placed a card face down. Marik made no new moves on his turn and passed. Joey was getting even more frustrated and my own patience was beginning to thin.
Kaiba's POV
Erin looked mad and I mentally smirked.
"This duel is getting out of hand and it's making Erin, Zane, and Joey mad, if nothing is done soon this duel is going to get boring real quick"
"Wheeler will crack before Marik does"
I was suddenly hit with that same setting in my mind of the cherry blossom tree.
And the silver Nine-Tailed Fox was sitting on its haunches before me.
"I'm kind of in the middle of watching a duel fox," I told the canine firmly.
The fox rolled its golden eyes before standing up. Again its snout pressed itself into my hand and an unfamiliar warmth surged through me. It was a comforting kind of warmth and it made me feel safe. The fox then backed up and my eyes widened as the silvery canine shifted shape. Then Erin Randall was standing before me.
"Seto?"
The vision ended and I was brought back to reality.
"You okay bro?"
"Yeah sorry kid I guess with the duel being slow I spaced out"
Erin's POV
"What's up with Kaiba?" Zane whispered to me.
"I think he had another vision"
Zane looked confused and shot Kaiba a glance. Then a grin broke out onto his lips. Just as he was about to say something I smacked him hard on the head.
"Are we missing something here?" Mai inquired looking confused. The others were looking at us in curiosity.
"Zane was about trash talk one of my favorite characters from a video game"
"No, I wasn't! Though Sephiroth is"
I gave my brother a death glare because he knew better than to go insult the drop-dead gorgeous villain from Final Fantasy 7.
"Sephiroth who now?" Yugi asked.
"One of the hottest villains to date my friend, and yes I crush on certain anime or video game characters"
Duke decided to wolf-whistle while Zane mumbled about a headache. Kaiba and Mokuba both had WTF looks on their faces and it was damn funny.
Wanna take a guess who Zane's mate is? Also to my Lion King reader the sequel to the first fic is currently on hold and the fic would be a PG-13 setting. Also y'all tell me who you ship more with Erin. Bakura or Kaiba?
