The Loud Ark: Chapter 2 - Lincoln's Life

Lincoln and his family's life has gotten better as they have gained some new friends. It was an early morning at the Loud House. Lily is heard laughing, followed by Lincoln. Inside Lincoln's room, where the two mentioned siblings are sitting on the latter's bed, and the six fairies.

"Okay, Lily, I didn't wake you and the fairies up at six in the morning just to play." Said Lincoln as Lily laughed again. "This is very important Tink, It's time for a lesson about living in my home with me and how to survive in a big family, looks can be deceiving, but when you're the middle child of Ten sisters, Things can get pretty chaotic and well, Loud."

"Poo-poo," Lily said in determination.

"Today is Saturday, Lesson #374." As Lincoln explains as he turns on a projector; the first slide shows Lynn Sr. with a platter of burritos "Breakfast Burrito Saturday."

Causing Lily to gasp and shout "Bawitotos!"

"Now that you have teeth..." The next slide shows an image of Lily and the six fairies; an arrow pointing at her one tooth. "You'll want one of Dad's famous breakfast burritos all to yourself."

The next slide shows Lily and the fairies at the dining room table with a burrito in front of them as Lily reacted to the slide shouting "Wiwy!"

"Just like your/my sisters," Lincoln explained as the next slide after that showed all nine other sisters reaching out to take The Fairies and Lily's burrito.

Lily giggles, jumps off Lincoln's bed, toddles her way to the slide with beady eyes, and says, "Sisters!"

"It's not so Bad." Said Tinkerbell.

"Which means it's all of you against them at the table." Added Lincoln. The next slide shows a fight cloud from all ten sisters and the fairies struggling to get out causing them to gasp in shock.

"Uh-oh." Said, Lily.

"They fight?!" Exclaimed Rosetta.

"That looks a bit primitive?!" Replied Fawn.

"Not entirely, Don't worry, because your big brother/human friend is the Man with the Plan. Patent pending." As Lincoln explained, the next two slides read' LINCOLN LOUD: MAN WITH THE PLAN,' with a "Patent Pending" sticker at the bottom left corner of one of the slides. Lily giggles again as she and the fairies make their way back to her brother/friend.

"And today's plan..." As he turns off the projector and the room's lights are now turned on "...is to get to those burritos before our sisters wake up."

Lincoln sniffs the air of the burritos being made "I can smell 'em now. Okay, Girls, Lily, it's go time!"

Lincoln tears away his pajamas to reveal his usual everyday clothing. Lily follows suit by tearing off her diaper and throwing it at the door until a splat is heard. The two siblings look over, realizing as the fairies cringed that could only mean one thing...

"Poo-poo." Exclaimed Lily in worry as Lincoln looked back at Lily.

. . . . .

In the bathroom, Lincoln is changing Lily's diaper. "So all you need to do is just watch and learn." As he sets Lily down on the floor "Because around here, no one outsmarts Lincoln..." He opens the bathroom door, only to meet something... or a group of someone... unexpected. "...Loud."

"I think you might have Jinx that." Said Tinkerbell.

"How come?" Asked Lincoln. The Tinker fairy points to what she's seeing as the rest of Lincoln's older sisters and younger sisters just happen to be standing in the hallway.

"Nice try, Lincoln, but you're not the only one who remembered it's Breakfast Burrito Saturday." Said Lori.

"Yay! Burritos!" Shouted the sisters as the girls rush downstairs in burrito-induced excitement, though the Man with the Plan isn't letting a wrench in his plan ruin it.

"Oh no, you don't!" Shouted Lincoln,

He took the carpet and waved it, creating a fabric wave that sent the sisters wayward as they screamed and into the open front door, which Lily and the fairies closed as Lori shouted, "Lincoln!"

"Sorry!" The Tinker green-clothed fairy apologized as Lincoln, who had just taken the banister downstairs, high-fives his baby sister, who laughs triumphantly, and the six fairies.

"The key to having a plan is to always have a backup plan." As Lincoln finished explaining.

Lily answered him back, "Backup plan."

"I guess I was wrong," said Tinkerbell.

The group walked into the dining room, as Lincoln's father, Lynn Sr. entered from the kitchen, dancing with a plate of burritos singing.

Lynn Sr.: *Singing*Hot, burritos, hot, hot burritos, hey! Do a little dance and move your feet-os!

He stops and notices Lincoln, the fairies, and Lily at the table and begins to speak, "Hey! Morning, Lincoln." Then taps Lily's nose "Hello, Lily."

"Bawitotos!" Lily exclaimed. "That's right, sweetie. Bawitotos. As he kisses her cheek Lily giggles; as he notices the fairies. "I see you and our new friends are here first?"

"Yes, Dad, plus they're Lana's friends too," Lincoln responded. Then his father stops to look around, noticing some people are missing.

"Hey, where's the rest of your sisters? I thought I heard them coming down." Said Lynn Sr. wondering where the rest of her nine daughters went.

"Did you?" Lincoln said slyly "I guess they couldn't make it, Huh..."

He prepares to take a bite, but the front door opens, and the other sisters storm in and glare at the eight yelling. "YOU!"

Lincoln realized that they were about to become toast as both Tinkerbell and Lincoln exclaimed "Uh-oh."

"Now, Please girls? Can't we just discuss this instead?!" Said Iridessa trying her best to calm the crowd.

But it was too late, The girls all jumped on them and fought for the burritos, causing a fight cloud to ensue. Lincoln, the fairies, and Lily are revealed to have hidden under the table, safe from the fight as Lincoln sighs. "Sorry, guys and Lily. So much for watching and learning."

But Tinkerbell had a smile on her face saying. "I wouldn't say that,"

Lily reveals she has a burrito in her diaper with the help of the fairies exclaiming. "Backup plan!" Shouted Lily.

Leaving Lincoln very impressed. "Oh-ho-ho! The students have become the master!"

Master and apprentices split the burrito, toast with their halves, and dig in. Meanwhile, the other sisters are still fighting for the rest of the burritos; Luan, Lynn, Lori, Luna, and the twins are engaged in a tug-of-war, Leni uses her superior height to keep her burrito away from Lisa's little arms, and Lucy is unharmed, eating her burrito.

Suddenly, a whistle is blown off-screen, ceasing the burrito brawl. Rita, their mother appears, holding the whistle before saying, "Lola, we need to go if you want to make it to your recital on time."

"Don't forget my science fair!" Exclaimed Lisa.

"I have the Junior Morticians' Death Match." Added Lucy

Then one of the twins, Lana shouted, "I'm working with the pit crew at the race track!"

Soon the rest of the girls except Leni all ramble, saying they have an activity to attend to as well… Lynn says, "Soccer playoffs!", Luan jokes, "Joke-A-Palooza!", Luna shouts, "Don't forget my shred-off!"

Rita screams in shock, "You all have activities today?!"

Then Leni spoke. "Not me." Rita sighs in relief. "I just have my fashion show."

This shocked Rita. "That's an activity, honey!"

Then a frazzled Lynn Sr. enters, seeing the unprepared state of his wife exclaiming, "We're not prepared for this. This is a ding-dang disaster! What do we do?!" As he runs around and freaks out "Don't panic! Don't panic!" Then he screams at the top of his lungs. "DON'T PANIC!"

Rita and the girls are freaking out as well, with Lynn Sr. gnawing on the doorway to the kitchen. Lincoln, the fairies, and Lily pull up the tablecloth.

"Relax everybody." Said Lincoln They crawl out from the table as he picks up Lily, walking toward the living room "I got this."

Everyone relaxes, and smiles, knowing he does get this.

"Another lesson, girls." Said Lincoln as he set Lily on the stairs as the fairies sit down "It's always more important to help your family than to outsmart 'em and you might wanna cover your ears."

After placing headphones on the infant and the fairies covering their ears, he pulls out a megaphone and shouts. "Alright Louds, let's go, go, go!"

He puts away the megaphone and holds up Lori's golf clubs "Lori, golf clubs."

Lori takes them and heads out the door. "Thanks, Linc!"

Lincoln holds up some measuring tape, "Leni, measuring tape."

Leni takes it and heads out "Thanks, Lincoln!"

Then Lincoln holds up Luna's guitar and a microphone. "Luna, guitar."

Luna takes them and heads out. "Thanks, bro!"

Lincoln holds up a soccer ball. "Lynn, here's the soccer ball."

As he tosses it to Lynn. Lynn has the ball bouncing on her head as she heads out. "Yeah-yuh!"

Lincoln holds up a rubber chicken. "Luan, rubber chicken."

Luan takes the rubber chicken and laughs.

. . . . .

Outside the Loud House, the girls are heading outside as Lincoln continues to hand them their belongings. "Lucy, black veil."

"Thanks." As she puts on the veil.

"Lola, flaming baton."

As he gives the flaming baton to Lola. "Thanks, Lincoln!" As she twirls her baton.

"Lana..." As grunts as he lifts her toolbox wrench set. "Wrench set."

"Thanks, Linc!" As she heads out carrying her wrench set. Lincoln and Lisa walk out of the house next, with Lincoln holding a beaker of some colored liquid.

"Lisa, ammonium di..."

"Dichromate. Thank you, male sibling." Lisa takes the beaker and heads to the van; the parents as well.

"Alright, we got everything?" She rubs Lincoln's head as she passes him her.

"Yup, we're good to go!" Said Lynn Sr.

Lincoln notices something wrong, "Mom, Dad, you forgot something!" The parents stop walking and turn around, just in time to have Lincoln walk toward them, holding out an annoyed Lily.

As Rita sheepishly laughs. "Oh, sorry, sweetie."

Lincoln gives Lily to his mother; the infant lets out a groan in response. "Lincoln, Pop-Pop will be here in a few minutes to look after you and be a good boy."

"Yes, Mom." As he watches them leave. "This is how life is in the Loud House."

After he was done talking Tinkerbell spoke wondering what his task was. "What about you?"

"Oh me, normally I would perform a magic show, but business has been slow and I do afternoon preaching which is the least favorite thing to do." Lincoln sighed. "I just feel despite my efforts to show everyone how special I am no one seems to notice."

Tinkerbell places her hand on his nose saying. "Don't worry, Lincoln things will turn out fine someday, I thought my talent as a tinkerer wasn't as special and important, but it changed after that, hopefully, something big will happen that would be special to you."

"Yeah, you're right, I just need to be patient."Said Lincoln,

"Well, we better go do our tasks goodbye." Replied Tinkerbell

As the fairies flew off Lincoln waved goodbye, maybe things would turn out better for him someday as he thought more about what kind of plan does god have for him. What Lincoln doesn't realize is that god was going to use him to help him in his own plan to save all of creation.

. . . . .

On his way to his preaching spot, he noticed the activities of the people and his family in the village, their skills felt more special than his. He was there with them His eldest sister Lori at the Golf Tournament, Leni with fashion, Luna rocking out with her band, Luan making her comedy jokes, Lynn playing with her team at her soccer match, Lucy with her Mortician's club, Lana at the pit crew, Lola at her junior beauty pageants, Lisa at her science conventions, Lily was mostly with Mom and Dad, he helps his best friend Clyde bake, Zach, researching conspiracies, Rusty modeling for his dad's clothing, helping Liam on the farm, Lincoln would hold his staff given to gramps, Leonard Loud, to herd the animals and raise it in the air when he does so the animals followed in an organized line, Stella, helping her grandma, Ronnie Anne helping Bobby with bodega work with the Casagrandes, and Sid helping with her family at the zoo.

Lincoln sighed, "I wish there was some way I could be as special as everyone else."

Despite being a helper and a magician. He still feels left out, Tinkerbell building on an invention noticed him pass by, so did Silvermist, Iridessa, and Rosetta planting a flower, and Vidia and Fawn washing up the bluebirds can't help, but feel sorry for him. His other skill was preaching everything to spread god's word through his grandfather Pop Pop.

He stood on his rock on a crossroad, preaching words like"Aslan the Great Lion god is the true god!" "He loves and cares about everyone!" "Be generous and kind to one another" "Be a good friend and neighbor."

Most people passing by just ignored him or mocked him by throwing tomatoes and rocks at him, shouting "There is no god!" "You're wasting your time boy!"

He tried his best to ignore them, but inside he felt hurt and sad. The truth was the people at the time had become evil and wicked caring only about themselves and not god.

As Lincoln headed back home he saw people robbing one another, thieves stealing from the merchants, robbers killing people, bigger kids bullying the smaller weaker ones, vain and selfish girls gossiping and being mean to others, lavish parties by the rich, greedy people eating lots of food and having lots of money, littering, taxing, fighting among families and friends, he even sees two armies on a field fighting one another, and a cult of people worshiping a serpent idol statue. This hurt Lincoln even more as the village is the only place they are loyal to the true god, Aslan.

"Humanity keeps getting worse and worse, people not loving and helping one another," Lincoln said to himself. "I wonder what Aslan would say if he were to hear about this? Not only do I wish, I was as special as everyone else, I also wish there was a way to bring back peace and harmony to the world, there needs to be Justice, and there needs to be laws. I wish God was here to help us in this time of need."

. . . . .

Later he was in the living room of the house with his grandfather, Albert, Rita's Father, or what the kids call, "Pop-Pop," going over some scrolls of Adam with the fairies. Albert and Lincoln have a great bond as Grandfather and Grandson as he taught Lincoln the ways of the lord. Lincoln, still sad, asked, "Pop-Pop, Can I talk to you?"

"What is it Lincoln?" Said Albert Loud.

"It's about what's going on in the world," Lincoln replied, answering his grandfather's question.

"I have heard Him. Lamenting in the heavens over his children's misbehavior" he said in an almost joking manner. "Yes, my Greatfather Enoch told me that the Creator would not put up with our ways forever. He would one day punish us for what we have done." he paused with a sigh of sorrow.

"Sounds like a prophecy." Said Silvermist.

"Do you think that would ever happen, Pop-Pop?" asked Lincoln.

"Who knows? Enoch told me it will happen, but he never said when." Replied Albert.

"So why are these scrolls important?" Said Tinkerbell as she looked through them.

"These scrolls are of the teachings of the lord of our god, Aslan, They were written by Greatfather Adam." Replied Albert Loud.

Fawn looked at another scroll that had names written with animals painted on them, some they had never seen before or ever knew existed as Fawn exclaimed. "Amazing, Where have you seen all of these animals?"

"I've seen them on my travels even when Lincon's Mother was around his age," Albert began to explain. "You see I have wandered all over the land, seen all kinds of animals; all God's children, just like us. It was Adam who named every one of them."

"That sounded like a very big task," Fawn said surprisingly.

"Pop-Pop, do you ever feel how things got this bad? I mean, is Aslan really angry with everyone?" Lincoln asked. "The people like to harm me every time I preach to them."

"Well, it's hard to say actually. But despite all that, I never forget my teachings and my faith, and I just… keep being myself. "I don't think angry is the right word Lincoln and friends I think that the Lord is heartbroken." Said Albert. "It seems bit by bit after Adam and Eve's exile from the garden of Eden and Cain's murder of his brother Abel mankind has fallen into Violence and that's all that remains."

"That's just sad." sighed Rosetta.

"But Pop-Pop I know you're trying to teach me to be a preacher to convince these people, but I feel like I'm nothing," Lincoln replied.

"I can't stand people who don't believe in Aslan like people who don't in fairies." Said Tinkerbell in frustration.

"They cut down all the plants and poisoned the soil." Said Rosetta,

"And the water." Replied Silvemist, with Fawn joining in last.

"And Harming all the animals too." Added Fawn

"Well, I don't blame Aslan for this," said Vidia.

"Me too, It seems the whole world has forgotten who Aslan is." Added Iridessa.

"But Pop-Pop I know you're trying to teach me to be a preacher to convince these people, but I feel like I'm nothing." sighed Lincoln. "I'm not as special as my sisters or my friends or everyone in the village including you."

Then Pop-Pop placed his left hand on his grandson's shoulder, "Now, now, Lincoln it's more than just a skill that makes you special, but in the heart that counts, Aslan loves and cares for everyone, and all of the people I've seen, you found grace in the eyes of the Lord and that's something he is eternally grateful for." Said Albert. " As for the rest..." He stated that Lincoln and the fairies knew what he meant as they looked at the lights from the city knowing that the people there as well as everyone on Earth had become wicked and full of sin. Little did Lincoln know that one night he would dream of something terrible would happen and only he could be the world's savior.
