Chapter 28 Strange place

Yuto and Yugo were with they're group the investigation team at the group date cafe room.
"Man to think today is the last day of the festival."Yuto said.
"Yeah but it just life for you."Yugo said.
"Still we should at least enjoy the day."Yukiko said.
They all nodded and Yu then hears a bell."did you hear that?"
"Yeah, it sounded like a bell, but it's not our schools bell."Yugo said.
"Oh I heard of a story like this."Yukiko said.
"Is it the one about if the bell stops you die?"Yugo asked and she nodded.
"Okay cliche."Yosuke said.
"Yeah."Chie said a little scared.
"Is it strange."Naoto said.
"What?"Kanji said.
"That a bell would be ringing right now."Naoto said.
"Well let's go out and see the rest of the festival."Yuto said and they nodded.
"Oh I can be a magician."Teddie said."Oh I heard they're having some juicy fish to eat."he drools a bit.
Yuto and Yugo then hit him over the head with two big fishes."you want fish, here."
They then went ou walking together, then Yu and the twins saw Margaret at a tent.
"My, it's good to see you again."she smiled.
"What?"Yuto said.
"You here."Yu said.
"Yes, I work in a tent here."she said.
"I see, but can you really work here while your with him?"Yugo said.
"Don't worry about that."she said.
"Hey does she work in that weird place you go?"Chie asked Yu.
"Yeah does the owner really have a big nose?"Yukiko asked.
"Yes, but I have something to show you."she said and they followed her.
They went inside a booth and when they arrived they saw a strange area that isn't the velvet room they knew, it had two stairs and two doors there that were chained up.
"Hmm, what's the meaning of this?"Margaret said and she looks at the doors."And what are these doors?"
"Strange."Yugo said.
"Two doors and four locks, what could these be?"Margaret said.
"They weren't originally here?"Naoto asked.
"No, it was a small room easily filled by a desk and a chair, there wasn't space for doors such as these naturally, could the room have changed because I brought you here?"Margaret said
"What do you mean? stop saying such weird things."Chie said.
Yuto taps his pocket but then gets shocked."Wait."he checks his entire body."It's not here!"
"What?"Kanji said.
"My gaia memory."Yuto said surprising them and they checked too.
"Hey mine is gone too."Yosuke said.
"Did we dropped them?"Yukiko asked.
"Then we better go out and find them, the velvet room being different is weird enough but if the memories are gone how are we going to transform."Yugo said.
"Then we better go out."Yu said and they ran out of the room.
When they exited they saw a lot more students outside at the festival surprising them while Teddie was excited.
"Was it always this crowded?"Chie asked.
"Okay, how is that possible, we were out like a few minutes."Yuto said and he looks outside the window."What?!"they all looked to see a clock tower."But that's impossible, we never had anything like that before."
"How did that even appear?"Yugo said.
"Yuto try the Gaia library."Yuto said and he nodded.
He tries it but then he opens his eyes."It's gone."that shocked them.
"What, but you always were able to go there."Yosuke said.
"This is becoming more problematic, we must search around the area."Naoto said.
They went walked around and they arrived at a room with a wonderland theme to it.
"Hey wait, that wasn't there before."Kanji said.
Yu looks at it and said."let's check it out."they agreed and went in.
They then arrived at a strange place with many cards and other wonderland like themes there.
"This must have been a lot of work."Yukiko said.
Naoto thinks of something and said:"Rise, use your persona to scan the area."
"But I can't summon my persona here."Rise said.
"Just humor me."Naoto said.
"Well okay, persona!"then Himiko appeared surprising them."It worked!"
"What, did we go inside the tv world?"Yukiko said.
"No, this might explain what happened to our gaia memories."Yuto said.
"Wait I detect many shadows nearby."Rise said.
"Oh come on, if there were really shadows I would have smelled them."Teddie then smells the area."You see there... Tons of Shadows!"He got surprised.
"So were in some strange world with them."Yugo said.
"Well let's go foward to look for a clue."Yu said and they all nodded.
"No choice but to use our personas."Yuto said.
They went foward and saw a group of shadows with mouth and tongues.
"Oh not these guys again."Yuto said.
"Persona."they all summoned they're personas but Kanji and Chie's were back to they're previous forms.
"Hey, wait."Kanji said.
"They're back to what they were before."Chie said.
"No choice attack."Yuto said and they all attacked the shadows killing them.
"So we not only lost the gaia memories but the personas that were evolved also transformed back."Yugo said.
"Well no choice but to keep going."Yuto said and they heard a scream."What, come on!"they then ran foward.
They opened a door and saw a guy and a short girl with long blonde hair.
"The guy points a crowsbow at them and said:"Who are you?"
"Hey put those things down before you take someones eye out."Yuto said.
He puts it down and said:"I'm asking who are you?"
"I'm, Yuto, this is my brother Yugo and our friends."Yuto said and they nodded.
"You must be students too of Yasogami High seeing your uniforms."Yugo said.
"Students of Yasogami high."the girl said.
"Are you two okay, the shadows should be here."Yukiko said.
"You mean those monsters."he said."They attacked but I drove them off."
"That surprises them and Yu said:"huh, cool."
"But weren't you crying earlier? What's wrong?"Teddie asked.
"I was scared, but Zen kept saying we need to go in."she said.
"Oh, it must be scary being in a place like this."Yukiko said.
"I've seen worse."Yuto said and his brother nodded.
"Did you come here to look see the area?"Yugo asked.
"That was the intention, but.."Zen said.
"There is still a long, looong way to go."Teddie said.
"So it's gonna take a while."Chie said.
"How about we go back and regroup to think about this?"Yu said.
"Go back."the girl said."I want to go too, I want to go back."she then looks at Zen."Can we go Zen?"
"Very well."he said."We will come with you."
"Good."Yuto said.
"I am Zen, and she is Rei. That's what we call each other."Zen said.
"Zen and Rei right, don't worry we won't leave you here."Yukiko said.
"Let's go."Yuto said and they went back.
But then three shadows came and with one being a slime one wearing a blue mask.
"I never seen that shadow before."Yugo said.
"Let's go."Yuto said.
The shadows attacked but Zen shoots arrows hitting them back.
"Not bad, now."Yuto and Yugo summoned they're cards."Persona!"they personas came and made a fire tornado burning the shadows making them vanish.
They then exited the place and were outside.
"Welcome back."Rise said.
"Hello."Rei said.
"Uh you must be Rei and Zen."she said.
"Say what year are you guys in?"Kanji asked.
"What year are you in?"Rei asked.
"I'm a first year."Kanji said.
"A first year."she said.
"Oh, then were the same age."Kanji said.
"Did she repeat what he said?"Yugo said to his brother.
"What were you two going there?"Naoto asked.
"I thought we needed to get out of here. We were looking for a place to leave."Zen said.
"I see, well considering this strange this place is, it's no wonder you can't find a exit."Yuto said.
"Yeah, well when our gaia memories are gone, we had that coming."Yosuke said.
"Gaia memory?"Rei said.
"Long story but let's head back to the Velvet room."Yuto said.
They arrived there and Margaret said:"what have you all dragged me?"
"We, you are the one that made us come here."Yuto said.
"That's right."Chie said.
"But we can tell this is the Velvet room or at least a altered version, and outside is like the tv world."Yugo said.
"Very smart Yugo, you are truly the one gifted with knowledge from Gaia."Margaret smiles.
"But those students out there are hopless, they just keep saying the fesitval is so cool and let's go to the shooting gallery, also I don't know a single one of them."Yosuke said.
"Those students are just phantoms, shadows will not attack them."Margaret said.
"I see, but until we can find way out."Yu said.
"Were stuck here."Yuto finished.
"Wait, really?!"Chie said.
"As far as I know, those monsters you call shadows never leave the labyrinth."Zen said."I don't why but it's always like that."
"Always how long have you been here'"Yukiko asked.
"We were here when we gained consciousness, we don't remember anything before that."Zen said.
"Our memories were taken."Rei said.
"T-Taken!?"Chie said.
"Wait by who?"Yosuke asked.
"I don't know."Rei said.
"But you remember them being taken away?"Naoto said.
"But I remember having them taken."Rei said.
"It's not impossible, Yugo gave some info about certain gaia memories with dopants being able to do that."Yuto said.
"So is it a dopant?"Yu asked.
"I'm not sure about that, but maybe it's one of those monsters."Yuto said.
"The shadows?"Zen asked.
"Oh no, we met a second type of monsters that we just call kaijin, they are monsters that appear almost everyhere."Yugo said.
"The only clues we can find if we go back."Naoto said.
"Leave?"Rei said."I want to leave too, I want to go back with everyone."she then looks at Zen."Zen, let's leave together okay? I want to go back too."
"I have a favor to request."Zen said to Yu."If your going to enter this labyrinth, I ask that you take us with you."that surprises them."We won't be any trouble, I will protect Rei and I can fight the monsters too."
"Well let's look for a way together."Yu smiled.
"Yes."Zen said.
"I hope we get a long."Rei said and she giggles."Now that's out of the way I'm feeling hungry."she then takes out food and starts to eat it.
"Huh, takoyaki, where did that come from?!"Chie said.
"I know something, the happiness comes in a shape of Takoyaki."Rei said.
"Whoa... She's a Yosuke level of disappointment."Teddie said.
"Did you just insult Rei?"Zen points a crowsbow at him.
"Eep, I would never, I just meant her distinctive looks and personality are amazing."Teddie said.
"No Zen! That's dagerous!"Rei stops him.
"You two get along well."Yukiko chuckles.
"I promised that we'd stay together."Rei said.
"Now we just need to find weapons since without our gaia memories we lost the only weapons we had."Yuto said.
"I know a place we can get some for you."Rei said.
They then arrived at a room.
"Handcrafted workshop."Zen said.
"Look Zen strawberries, they're like full of straw."Rei picks up a cake.
"Hey I bet this is your kind of place Kanji."Yosuke said.
"Well... Kinda."he said.
"Yeah we can use the weapons here."Chie said.
"One problem."Yuto picks up a bat and breaks it."They're toys."
"Are they no good?"Rei said.
"I maybe be possible to imbue them with enough power to fight shadows."Margaret said.
"What do you mean?"Yu asked.
"You should find them upon defeating shadows in the labyrinth."Magaret said."When you find these please bring them to me."She then takes the one Yu had."I will start one now."she then makes a long sword and gives it to Yu."I believe it came out well."
"Hey I saw a nurses office on the way here, maybe we can use it to recover."Yuto suggested.
"Hey good idea, it seems you can think."Yugo said.
"Hey what's that supposed to mean?"Yuto then tackles him and they start to fight against each other.
"Hey they're funny."Rei laughs.
"Why are they fighting?"Zen asked.
"It's just a brother rivalry."Chie said.
"Brother?"Rei said.
Then on top on the clock tower was standing a blue samurai looking warrior wearing orange armor, he looks around and runs off to the other side.
Note:heres a new arc being Persona Q, the group met Rei and Zen, don't worry the memories will come back very soon, while a new stranger has arrived.
