—-Katarina's Point of View—-

Me and Durian were outside, in my training area zone. Durian was in front of me and in front of both of was the climbing tree

"Okay Durian, use Hidden Power again"

"Munch!"

And Durian shot out a red ball of light towards the tree, but this time was different than the previous; the ball finally turned green with yellow radiating around it and when the ball hit the tree it finally went inside the tree instead of bouncing off, the tree started to glow and some of the leaves started shaking, the leaves quickly grew and turned into a vine-like plant and fell to the ground, eventually, the tree stopped glowing and the vines stopped growing

I went over and tugged at the vines to check their strength and they were sturdy, I turned over to Durian and told him "It's perfect, you mastered Hidden Power, Durian!"

Durian happily said "Munch!" And I was happy too,

'Now that Durian knows Hidden Power, We can finally go to the forest and make that Hidden Base!'

I picked up Durian and ran into the Mansion, I then ran through the halls calling for "Anne! Hey Anne I have something to tell you!"

After about two minutes of calling for her, Anne appeared and asked me "Lady Katarina, what are you doing?"

"I just wanted to let you know that I'll be going to the nearby forest tomorrow, with a Mudsdale to help me of course!" I told her

Anne just sighed and said "Okay then Lady Katarina, but be careful, because you have a tendency to get… radical with safety"

"Oh don't worry Anne, there won't be a scratch on me, Promise!"

The rest of the day went as usual , a Tree Climbing, Pranking Geordo, Toy Dundparce Throwing, Gardening with Mary, Sword Dueling with Keith and the day had ended in no time

—The Next Day—

I waved goodbye to Keith, Anne, mother and father who all decided to see me off, I then kicked my foot to the Mudsdale's Leg to signify that it was time to start moving and the Mudsdale started running

While riding there, I was thinking about what type of Hidden base to get

Katarina's Doom Avoidance Council. Meeting #5

Chairman Katarina, like usual, decided to announce "Our new dilemma is what Hidden base shall be chosen?"

Fearful Katarina was the first to make a recommendation, meekly saying "W-what about a Cave? that way we can be safe in a nice hole"

Smart Katarina decided to counter, saying "I'm not exactly sure how we'd be able to farm in such an environment?"

Fearless Katarina defended to idea "Then we'll just have a farm outside the cave or have a sun roof for the farming area"

Lore Katarina decided to counter with "A farm outside our Hidden Base would make it seem much less Hidden and so would a sun roof, although a Zoroark or maybe some other Psychic Types could handle that keeping it hidden, but we don't have a Zoroark or Psychic Types and who knows if or when we'll find one"

Fearless Katarina pouted saying "Fine, no cool cave base then"

Happy Katarina decided to make her own suggestion "What about a tree? Durian did practice on those and we can constantly do tree climbing!"

Fearful Katarina then brought up "What if there's a storm? or an attack or a forest fire? It's harder to fix a tree than it is to fix a cave or underground passage and the leaves could disrupt the sunlight that the farm gets, and we all now how bad that can get"

Then, Smart Katarina said "And we cannot expand a tree without any special Pokémon versus the underground or cave which can be expanded by practically any Pokémon with enough power or even just us, and while anyone on the ground cannot recognize that there's a secret base even if we had a sun roof or not, someone flying on a Pokémon could notice"

Competitive Katarina sighed and said "And an Underground Base has the same problem of a Cave so what's left?"

Lore Katarina then said "Underwater Bases are the only thing left? Maybe we could try and make a sky base like a Dollartree Skyloft?"

Smart Katarina then said "Unfortunately, an Underwater Base is the same thing has the same issue that Caves and the Underground has, no sunlight for farming"

Competitive Katarina then said "And how would we get the land or anything into the sky and stay there?"

They sighed together

Then Chairman Katarina decided to state "It seems that this meeting has entered a dead end, I declare this Meeting Inconclusive and adjourned!" and she slammed her gave

—-Katarina's Point of View—-

I had finally reached the entrance to the forest and so I hopped off Mudsdale and opted to walk instead as I returned Mudsdale to it's Pokéball, I decided to release Onion from her Pokéball and put her on my head

'just in case a random Pokémon decides to attack for some reason, Onion could probably take them out'

And so we walked through the forest, I was seeing mostly weak Bug Types, the kind you'd see on route one; Burmy, Weedle, Venonat, Blipbug and the sorts

Then, the further I got, I saw a few Grass Types; like Oddish, Paras, Seedot and a few Pansage

I decided to start some battles with some of the local Pokémon there but they were very easy for Onion to defeat, the Pansage caught my eye, because we're sisters, but they always ran away so I couldn't catch any and hence, I continued to move foward

Then it changed from Oddish to Capsakids, Scovillians, and a few other Fire Types like Salandits, Heatmor and some Simisage

The Fire Types were quite aggressive, Luckily, Onion was able to knock them out with some Water Pulses and they tended to give up quite easily

The tempature had rapidly started to increase by then and I had to give Onion her protective Sun Hat so she wouldn't dry up, the amount of trees had also started decreasing along with the trees remaining either having a few craters around them and or burn marks on them

And I still couldn't figure out what base to get! I thought all this walking would help me come up with some idea but I'm clueless in what my Hidden Base should be, maybe a cave would be great since this heat might not be good for farming anyways and it'll help to cool off, but I still gotta farm and out here is still a good option since mother is probably gonna get mad if I expand my farm any further, that Garchomp glare is no joke and I saw that Mega Stone and matching Key Stone around her and mother's neck

Anyways, I eventually saw a giant mountain far away and so I opted to send out Mudsdale and hopped on and rode them towards those mountains, because maybe, I could find some interesting and strong Pokémon to catch or battle

We arrived to the enterence and that was when the weirdness started, I saw burn marks and a few still lit flames along with massive holes everywhere, there were also many fainted Pokémon and it reminded me of the Island of Nidoking and Nidoqueen that I had visited, although it wasn't this damaged and there was poison everywhere instead of fire

Then it got even stranger as the fire turned from orange to blue and the craters got bigger and bigger and the fainted Pokémon had all but vanished without a trace, there was only Carkol and Rolycoly left and they were hiding in tiny crevices and holes, the heat had gotten too unbearable for Onion due to her biology and so I decided to replace her with Durian and carried him in my arm since he could take heat much better than Onion and I cautiously pulled out my sword and held it in my other hand, It was Iron now because my parents had gotten worried and insisted I used it just in case, even if Onion was super duper strong now

Then I heard a massive explosion from behind me and I turned around to see that there was a Coalossal flying threw a hole in a mountain, I jumped off Mudsdale and decided to run over to the Coalossal and saw that it was covered in burn marks and a few blue flames along with the Coalossal being fainted and I looked over to the hole it came from and saw blue flames around it

I then heard Durian scream "MUNCHLAX!" and I turned my head over and I saw 'it', a Pokémon with massive claws that were glowing blue and for some reason, had a blood red liquid covering its claws and the voices of Durian and Mudsdale were getting harder to understand as the beating of my heart was starting to get louder and louder and this overwhelming pain had struck my body and especially in my back area and then I noticed 'oh wait, its blood red because that's my blood'

The force of the blow had caused me to fall forward and onto my face, the large thumps of my heart beat was deafening 'No, I'm not gonna face my doom here, not now or ever, I've gotten had my fair share of broken bones, bone bruises and fractures from falling down trees' "S-so this is n-nothing!"

I started to try and get up and although my arms were shaking and my back was still in pain, I managed to rise up a little, but then I got kicked to the side by the Pokémon and it was then that I got a clear view of what I was dealing with

Like a cruel joke, It wasn't even fully evolved but rather a middle stage evolution, specifically, a Charmeleon with a blue colored tail flame and eyes that were filled anger and disgust, it then turned it back at me as it ran over to Durian

The Charmeleon had punched Durian into the air with a blue flame covered fist and it could've even killed Durian if it wasn't for Mudsdale jumping up to catch him on its back before he hit the ground, then I saw the Charmeleon start walking towards Mudsdale and an unconscious Durian, Onion had left her Pokéball without orders so she could defend Mudsdale but the Charmeleon had started to breathe blue fire from within its mouth, the heat was so intense that it stared to feel as if I was about to burn myself and Onion was instantly fainted along with Mudsdale just barely managing to stand

I then saw Mudsdale pick up Onion by her antennae and put her on it's back before running towards me and grabbing my collar with it's mouth, Mudsdale had managed to dodge a hit from Charmeleon, the hit had collided into the nearby rocks instead and I felt shockwaves from the move and I had gotten to see just how deep and massive the crater could be

The crater could probably fit my house, not my past life's house but this world's mansion, and Mudsdale looked to slightly hurt from the fire and the shockwaves and my dress had caught on fire

Luckily, Mudsdale had managed to run away and we escaped the mountains as I saw the Charmeleon only walk away with a Coalossal being dragged away

After awhile of running, Mudsdale had gotten all of us out the mountains and it was at this point that I had finally succumbed to my injury and fainted

I woke on a grassy ground, I looked down the see that my torso was covered in bandages and a wet cloth on head, then I saw Purprea and Durian sleeping on my leg with bandages in both of their hands and I turned my head to see Onion sleeping near my head, Mudsdale wasn't asleep but rather resting as it still had it's eyes open and its ear twitching to show alertness

'Guess It wasn't a dream then, I had to run away from a middle stage evolution, not a even a Charizard and that sword training was completely useless, I couldn't do anything and two of my Pokémon were instantly knocked out, and I had to run away with a Pokémon that I don't even own!'

It was at this point that I felt tears of frustration start to form and fall and so I rubbed my face and said "No, I can't cry, me and my Pokémon need to be strong so I can avoid my doom, I haven't won a single battle and I nearly died already, crying and feeling bad isn't going to help me avoid doom flags"

So I got up and grabbed my Pokéballs from Mudsdale's bag and returned all my Pokémon, I then told Mudsdale "Okay Mudsdale, time to leave" and Mudsdale had nodded and allowed me to mount it before standing up and starting to move

'A Goomy won't evolve until level forty and considering how easily she got knocked out by a Pokémon that can't be any higher than level thirty, Onion isn't even close to that point. A Toxel will evolve at level thirty but I doubt that Purprea is at a close enough to that level since Onion got more training than her and Onion should be my highest leveled Pokémon. A Munchlax evolves when their at high friendship and leveling up, if I have a Snorlax then I instantly change from having a Pokémon with a 390 BST to a fully evolved Pokémon with a 540 BST'

I grabbed my Pokéball containing Durian and said to it "All right Durian, looks like your my new anti-Doom Flag now" before putting it back and contiueing to ride out the forest

'I can't tell anyone about what happened with Charmeleon, they'll never let me into the forest ever again if I do that and I need a spot to get exp'

Luckily, It wasn't too hard to hide what happened as I just claimed that climbing trees had roughed me up and tore up my dress, since I ripped off the burnt parts, the scar was more difficult hide but I just used a bag carried by a Mudsdale as a backpack and it didn't get too much suspicion from Keith and my Parents who were waiting outside to greet me back

And so I returned Mudstale to the stables and went to my bed without issues as I continued to contemplate what I should do with Durian

It was now the next day and I had a concrete game plan

'Step one is to figure out Durian's ability while training him up. Step two, get a held Item to boost the power of Munchlax along with medicine or the special feathers to encourage better ev's, and lastly. Step three, have Munchlax train for new moves to replace his old move set, punish usage of old moves to encourage new move sets if nessasary'

And now that I had Munchlax's plan ready, it was time for the execution so I released Munchlax and told him "Okay Durian, Let's start some new training today"

I started with the beginning area of Bug Types to gage his strength and since Munchlax knows Ice Beam, It was easy to take down the Bug Type Pokémon but we'll have to change that to something else since Ice Beam is a special move but Snorlax is a physical attacker

After a few hours of grinding, Munchlax looked to be tired from all the attacks he would take and so I decided for us to rest to heal him up and continue again until it was sunset and time to go home

That had became the standard for about two weeks since Munchlax and so It was time for step 2 of the plan, so I started feeding Munchlax some Iron Medicine and some Protein medicine so he could tank hits better and deal bigger damage, Munchlax looked a little uncomfortable with the medicine but it raises friendship so he's fine

We did step two for another week but by then Munchlax's medicine had ran out and so we had to go shopping

—-Durian's Point of View—-

I don't know what I did to have Master Katarina do this, but recently she's been feeding me awful medicine, making me train to near unconsciousness, she's stopped calling me by my name

And while we were out shopping, I heard her say "Maybe I should try and replace that Ice Beam with something else, maybe Thunder instead"

'No, not Ice Beam, and with that move to replace it'

I couldn't do it and so as soon as Katarina put me down, I ran as fast as I could with tears rushing out my eyes that caused my vision to blur, I could hear her calling out to me but she only said "Munchlax! Where are you going!", I didn't stop and continued running as fast as could and scurried through the crowd and bumbing into multiple things

I saw a blurred wall of green and brown so I figured that it was a forest and continued to run into it, 'This is just like before, running aimlessly through a forest, alone, cold and afraid'

I didn't want Katarina to catch up to me so I kept moving, even when I kept tripping on Bug and Grass Types or when it started getting scorching hot, I still kept moving at a slower and slower pace and so I had to stop at a nearby cave to cool off and recooperate

'Katarina doesn't care about me, she'll just ignore and get rid of me, like Chanterelle and I should've never told her that Katarina cares about us, she trusted and listened to me and now she's gone, given away like a tool'

'Katarina hates me, Father is gone and Chanterelle had been given away. Onion, Purprea, Apollo, Dratini and Tyrunt are all with Katarina a-and'

But was ripped out of my thoughts and crying from a loud roar that had thundered throughout the cave I was in, and I turned over to see the source of sound

It was a lizard-like Pokémon that towered over me, It had its entire body covered in shiny, white and grey, metal that looked like armor of the knights at Katarina's mansion and it had a massive tail and blue eyes that looked at me with anger

The Pokémon raised its tail before making it turn a glowing white and slamming it into a wall, most likely giving me warning so I started backing away slowly as I had realized what it was because of Katarina's books and I said "M-Mr. Aggron, p-please don't hurt me"

The Aggron only laughed mockingly and said "You must be new here, Let me give you a lesson so you never dare enter my cave ever again"

Mr. Aggron's body suddenly started to glow yellow along with sparks of lighting appearing around his body and I've seen that move before, that's Thunder, and so I was paralyzed with fear as the electricity shot out from his body and charged into my direction

—-Katarina's Point of View—-

I was aimlessly running through the forest and screaming out "Munchlax! Munchlax! Where are you!", while internally panicking 'What if I can't find him, Should I just replace him? I can't avoid my doom without strong Pokémon because then Geordo can-'

And at the remembering of Geordo's name, I suddenly remembered another event, When I told Geordo why I had gotten Chanterelle and Purprea, I pleaded that '"The shiny Nidoqueen might have just adopted them but she was still their family but since they were harming the envioment, I couldn't just leave them to be seprated and alone, so If you are mad please just punish me instead"

'Right, It's the same for Durian; He was alone and couldn't stay with Nidoking and he looked to be alone and separated in the colony so I couldn't just leave him them and I can't leave him now, Durian is my friend and I can't abandon a friend. Chanterelle can still be visited and is safe, Durian isn't so I have to apologise and bring him back and give him better options!'

And so with my resolve being even stronger, I ran with more vigor and managed to reach the Fire Type zone, but no sign of Durian yet

I then heard a loud roar, I turned my head to see if where it came from just in case and then I heard it, It was quiet and meek but I regconised that voice from anywhere "Mun-Munchlax!" It was Durian's voice

I ran over to the cave and saw a burst of yellow light coming from the cave and managed to see the entrance, I saw an angry Aggron covered in yellow light with electricity surrounding it and the Aggron's electricity was getting close to the entrance

'Oh no, an rampaging Aggron! And I left the rest of my Pokéball home, gotta use a potion or something to stun it so I can escape'

But then my eyes drifted down and I saw a scared and shaking Durian, I stopped thinking as my body moved on its own as I grabbed Durian and I started to run with Durian in my arms as the Aggron's Lightning had missed us and so It had started chasing us down, I turned to Durian and said "Durian! I'm gonna need you to climb a nearby tree while I distract the Aggron, Got It!"

And I threw Durian as high as I could and onto a tree branch, I looked over to see that the Aggron looked torn on whether it should I go after me or Durian

So I grabbed a nearby rock, threw at the Aggron and said "Hey Mecha Godzilla!, over here you dumb lug!" And I ran away as the Aggron had started chasing me

Eventually, the Aggron was starting to closer and closer to me, my adreniline was no longer making my running easier as my exhaustion had caught up with me

I had been forced to lean on a tree and my legs had given out so I had sat down, then I stared up and saw the Aggron was looking down on me, It kicked me into a rock nearby and I turned my body at the last moment which caused for only my arm to get injured from the impact and although I've dealt with arm injuries in my past life from accidents involving tree climbing, it still hurt and I wasn't used to having this new body being this injured and so I cried out in pain

The Aggron then charged up its fist and I faced my final doom flag

'I can't move my legs, I can't even breathe properly and I don't have enough strength to grab anything that could stun it, not that it would help much. Guess I should just hope to reincarnate again'

And so I closed my eyes and braced for impact but then

"MUNCHLAX!"

My eyes had rapidly opened as I saw that Durian had jumped from the trees and inbetween me and Aggron, Durian was also glowing blue and a near blindingly bright and white light had shone from Durian's body and his body had started getting bigger and bigger with his ear becoming more shorter in comparison and his dress-like fur had disappeared

The glowing had stopped and the Munchlax that jumped in to save me had disappeared in place for a massive Snorlax, but I could still recognise that this Snorlax was still my Durian

The Aggron had attempted to use a move that caused it's tail to glow white and it tried to slam the tail into Durian but Durian had grabbed to tail and swung Aggron into some rocks

Before Durian went after the Aggron further, he looked at me gave me a thumbs up before running at Aggron on all fours

I was finally relived and let my brain rest as I collapsed onto the ground

"Durian!" I said as I rose up suddenly, I noticed that my arm was bandaged and was in pain although not as much as before, I looked around me to see that I was no longer in the forest, I was inside a room and it was the same room that woke up in when Keith's Ho-Oh attacked me, the recovery room my parents called it although I refer to it as the 'Katarina, you done goofed up' room

And I was right to call it that as I was barraged by a plethora of questions from Keith, Geordo, Mary and my Parents, Anne was also there but she didn't ask me questions.

I was more concerned with Durian since he was in the forest and- wait how did I even get here? So I asked "Hey, how did I get here"

Everyone stopped and Anne decided to explain "You were in the arms of a wild Snorlax who had walked near the gate, the guards had managed to get the beast to let you go but it refuses to leave as it is inside a hole in the ground"

I was so excited to hear that Durian was okay that I had yelled out "Durian!" And got up and jumped out of my bed and managed to outrun everyone

I ran through the halls and the path to the entrence as I hoped and begged that Durian would forgive me and that he was okay

I eventually reached the gates and saw that the Gaurds had Diggersby around a hole and one of the guards said "Diggersby, Use Hyper Beam" and the Diggersby had started generating a ball of light

I yelled to the Gaurds "No! That's my Snorlax, don't do it please" the gaurd who commanded the order looked at me for a moment and sighed as he rose his hand which caused the Diggersby to stop its move

I then said "Thank you, can I please go through the gate" and the guards once again, relented, as they opened the gates and I walked through and stood at the entrance of Durian's hole and said "Durian, I'm so so sorry, I should've asked you if you were comfortable, or tell you why I doing everything, o-or I should've"

Durian then rose from his hole and gave me a big hug, I then dried my tears slightly forming tears and grabbed Durian's Pokéball and asked him "Durian, would you like to join me as my friend again?"

Durian nodded and tapped on his Pokéball's button, returning him into his Pokéball

My family and friends had caught up to me but I wasn't at full health and still tired and passed out once more.
