For this story I wouldn't read too deep into power scaling, but if you want a simple run down of how I'll scale Scorpion in the DC universe, let's just put him at S tier with characters like Superman and Wonder Woman, but higher in any Hell like Dimension. For looks I'm giving him his Invasion attire. For the universe, I'm using the DCAMU, or basically Justice League vs. Teen Titans universe, though I might add some Justice League Unlimited episodes and original stuffs.

I do not own Mortal Kombat or Justice League along with any other DC character. Enjoy the fic.

Chapter 1

Kronika's Keep

Hanzo Hasashi aka Scorpion had made his Future Self a promise: not to stay mired in the past. But once the Spectre controlled the Hourglass, he could not keep that promise.

Over and over again, he crafted the Sands of Time in hopes of restoring his family to life. Yet in every new timeline their tragedy repeated. He was powerless to change it. After eons of being the keeper of time, Scorpion learned the truth.

Kronika alongside the Elder gods had conceived a plan to create an Immortal successor. One that would be somewhat unkillable.

After eons, it now made sense. Why he had survived being tossed into the Soulnado by those Oni's, why the Elder gods had made him their champion in hopes grooming him into one day overseeing the realms. Why the Elder gods had betrayed him by resurrecting his clan as undead warriors.

In the end he and his family were nothing more than pawns in their game.

"No more." Scorpion thought as he stared at the Hourglass. "Kronika may have succeeded in making me her successor but I have had enough."

Using every bit of his Titan ability, Scorpion unleashed an intense stream of flame towards the Hourglass, causing it to slowly crack. If the Hourglass was to be destroyed, so would the realms and hopefully, him along with them

As Scorpion increased the power of his attack, the cracks on the Hourglass continued to increase, until it finally shattered knocking the Spectre back due to the shockwave from it's destruction.

The effect was almost instantaneous as the realms began to unravel before Scorpion's eyes. As the realms shook, Kronika's keep also began to collapse. With his work finally done, Scorpion then closed his eyes as he waited for death to claim him, while also hoping he could finally rest.

After what felt like an eternity to Scorpion, the residual power from the destroyed Hourglass finally exploded, creating momentous energy similar to that of the big bang that first engulfed Scorpion before the rest of the realms, destroying everything until nothing was left.

Gotham City Back Alley

Scorpion was no stranger to death, as he had experienced it multiple times. Most times if he were to somehow perish, he would be instantly reborn in the Netherrealms. But that should not be the case as the Netherrealms was no more, yet somehow after dying at Kronika's keep, he was somehow alive though not in the Netherrealms.

Opening his eyes, the Spectre then looks around seeing tall buildings as he finds himself stranded in an empty back alley.

"No." The demon ninja growled in rage and frustration as he forced his fist deep into the wall as cracks spread around it. "No!" He roar out loud as fire burst out around him.

"Hey man." Scorpion turned towards the voice as he noticed a Man in Green floating above him. "You alright?" Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern asked

"Leave me alone." Scorpion said as he removed his fist from the wall before turning away from Hal.

"Look man, there's been a lot of kidnapping lately but maybe if you could answer a few questions I could…" Right before Hal's eyes the Ninja disappeared in a ball of fire causing the hero to speak to nothing but air. "...let you go.

Hal stared dumbfounded at the now empty spot the Ninja left before throwing his hands into the air. "Oh come on!"

Several miles away from Green Lantern's location, Scorpion stood on top of a tall and wide building as he had just arrived here via teleportation. Not looking forward to speaking with the Human flashlight, Scorpion began pondering to himself concerning his current location.

From what he could sense, he was on Earthrealm yet it felt different. Broadening his senses, he also noticed the existence of multiple realms similar to the Netherrealms along with many other realms he was finding difficult to locate.

"What am I to do now?" Scorpion signed to himself as he looked out into the city. "Clearly killing myself is not an option anymore, so what now?"

His thoughts were interrupted by the screams of a woman being carried away by what looked like a Netherrealm Demon. Seeing this an image of Grandmaster Hasashi appeared to Scorpion, but it vanished just as it came. "What would my future self do?"

After a while Scorpion contemplated helping her but then noticed a Man dressed as a Bat chasing after the creature, so he decided to ignore her believing this Bat man would be capable of saving her

That was until he noticed the Man was having trouble rescuing the woman as he struggled to keep the creature still, after attaching a grapple hook to it's leg.

"Just this once." Scorpion signed to himself before teleporting directly above the creature before delivering an axe kick that caused it to crash towards a nearby building while releasing it's captive. Scorpion was about to save the falling woman when suddenly a Green construct, courtesy of the human flashlight caught the woman before dropping her safely on a building.

Turning towards the direction of the creature, Scorpion noticed that said creature was making light work of the man dressed as a Bat. From what Scorpion could observe, he could tell that the man in bat costume was a skilled fighter but the difference in power against his opponent was proving to be his undoing.

Just when the creature was about to bite off it's opponent's head, Scorpion teleported Infront of it before grabbing it's throat, with the intention of snapping it.

Having being experienced in the art of knowing when a killer was about to execute an opponent, Batman rushed towards Scorpion before grabbing his hand, desperately trying to stop him from killing the Parademon. "No, don't kill it. We need it alive." The Dark Knight said

Raising a brow at this, Scorpion asked. "Why would you need it alive?"

Said question was never answered as the Parademon chose that moment to bite Scorpion's wrist causing the Spectre to hiss as he tossed the creature down towards the street right into an empty car which resulted in an explosion that blew a hole into the ground.

"Finally caught onto you guys." Green Lantern said as he flashed his ring's light towards Scorpion and Batman. "So which one of you tried to kidnap that lady?"

"None, now turn it off." Batman said shielding his eye

"Hold on, Batman?" Green Lantern asked in shock after getting a closer look at the man. "You're real"

"Clearly, now, turn off the damn light before they see us." Batman said

"Before who sees us?" Green Lantern asked

"This is Gotham P.D., put your hands in the air." A speaker said as multiple Helicopters started surrounding them. "Put your hands in the air."

Seeing this, Scorpion teleported all three of them into the hole the Parademon created

"What the hell!" Green Lantern yelled at being teleported

"You're welcome." Scorpion said as he started walking towards the direction of where he could sense the Parademon

"They don't like us much." Green Lantern said as he and Batman followed after Scorpion

"The world's afraid of us." Batman said

"You say that like it's a good thing." Green Lantern said

"It's necessary." Batman said before grabbing Scorpion's shoulder stopping him from advancing any further. "Move."

"Hey he just helped us, kinda." Green Lantern said stepping Infront of Batman

"Take your glow stick and go home." Batman said glaring at Lantern. "Gotham's mine."

"No, see, this entire space sector is my beat." Lantern said

"Uh-huh." Batman merely muttered

"I'm serious. I'm Green Lantern, damn it." He said

"I do not have time for this." Scorpion said as he shoved Batman's hand from his shoulder before walking deeper into the sewers

Saying nothing, Batman decided to follow Scorpion's lead with Green Lantern behind him

"So, what's it doing in Gotham?" Lantern asked

"Witnesses spotted this thing trying to plant some kind of bomb downtown." Batman said. "When the cops confronted it…it spewed fire from its mouth."

"Really now?" Lantern asked before smirking. "Luckily for us, fire is no problem for me."

"Huh." Batman muttered

"As I was saying." Lantern said ignoring Batman's disregard for his abilities. "Green Lantern can do anything."

"Except shut up, apparently." Batman said

"Wow, someone forgot to take their Tru Blood tonight." Lantern joked

"I'm not a vampire." Batman said

"Seriously?" Lantern asked in shock. "I thought with the darkness and the vanishing, and the, what, super strength?"

"No."

"Can you fly?"

"In a plane." Batman said

"Wait, you're not just some guy in a bat costume, are you?" Lantern asked causing the group to stop with Batman smirking slightly

"He is, now keep quiet." Scorpion said hoping to shut Lantern up, but apparently, he was wrong

"Are you freaking kidding me?" Lantern asked. "What, nobody asked you to prom...so now you dress as a bat and prowl around your parents' basement? Also you." Lantern said glaring at Scorpion. "Why are you here?"

"That abomination thought it wise to bite me, I intend to show it the error of it's ways." Scorpion said

"What's this do?" Batman asked suddenly holding Lantern's ring

"Huh?" Lantern asked in shock as his costume faded away

"No buttons." Batman observed. "I assume it works off concentration."

"How did you do that?" Lantern asked

"You weren't concentrating." Batman said

"You won't do that again." Lantern said causing his ring to return back to him

"Unless I want to." Batman said

"That's it. Let's rumba, spooky-" before Lantern could do anything, Scorpion shoved him towards a nearby wall before shushing him as he signaled towards the Parademon

"Hold fast. We need more info." Batman said as the Parademon detonated something on the wall

"Bull crap. That's a bomb and he just armed it." Lantern said as he started rushing towards the Parademon

"Lantern, wait." Batman said

"You fool." Scorpion muttered

"For Darkseid." The Parademon muttered before an explosion engulfed the entire area. When the dust cleared, it revealed Lantern to have already created a Safe, which protected him, Batman and Scorpion from the explosion.

"Darkseid? What's that, a band?" Lantern asked as he released his construct, causing them to step out

"A death cry." Scorpion said

"It wanted to take us with it." Batman said. "All to protect this."

"I'm on it. Ring, scan and identify." Lantern said as his ring started scanning the device

"Initiating scan. Processing. Unable to identify." a mechanical voice said

"That's impossible." Lantern gasped. "The ring knows what the Guardians know and the Guardians know everything."

"It doesn't scan like a bomb." Batman said observing the object. "More like an alien computer."

"Alien?" Lantern asked. "Like the guy in Metropolis?"

"Superman." Batman said

"Superman?" Scorpion raised a brow at the name

"Cheesy right." Lantern said. "Hold on, we don't even know your name."

"Scorpion." The Spectre said after a while

"Hmm, not bad." Lantern said before facing Batman. "You've met him?"

"No." Batman said. "But I've researched him. "His power levels are–"

"Not gonna be a problem for me." Lantern said

"We'll see." Batman muttered
