Translator
Just saw the Monkey King (2023/Netflix) movie and the villain song "Take the World By Storm" made me think, wowzers! I should write about it! And so I figured why not have Neo Metal Sonic be a dramatic bot for once. He already got the cape and speech done before, so why not a villain song? "Badniks and gentlebots!" Orbot's voice echoed throughout a mic, a single fancy tie on their chest and a fancy smile on their face as they adressed the crowd before the throne. "Clench your claws!"
"And tighten your bolts!" Cubot continues, hand dramatically raised towards a dark figure set on top of a throne. "For the fearsome king of metal…"
"Neo Metal Sonic!" the announced badnik sat on their throne in a casual manner, one arm rested behind his neck and his feet over the other side like his counterpart would. Original only to him however was the manner in which he was clicking his nails and feet together in the beat of a soon to begin song. This was his moment and he would enjoy the spotlight in his own dramatic way.
The crowd of varouis badniks before him remained dead still as the jazzy tune grew in tone, still the overlord did not mind their boring reaction. Instead standing slightly up with a dramatic cape flare.
"Feeling weary?" a smooth voice with a slight robotic edge came out like a fine wine, "Well, you oughta. Cuz dwelling under metal isn't swell." an intense look their way, "Trust me, I know."
Dramatically raising one claw up to the air, he continues. "You see since birth, I have fought a doppelganger disorder that has caused me anger and-"
"Woe, woe, woe!" Orbot and Cubot echoed for him, also acting as support dancers.
"Whenever other living things saw me instead of their heroooo.…" he let the sentence draw out, starting to tune into his own theatrics. "In no time they'd be calling me…
"Fake or a zero!" Orbot and Cubot spoke for him again, and were pushed from away his face after.
"Forever behind the spurs of a blue blurrrr... Resigned to never being number oneee…"
"But with that I am done!" He jumps up, "For my time has come!" a spotlight shines on him, a dramatic wind makes his cape billow and his gaze is firmly towards the heavens.
"Because I have realizeeeeed." he starts to rise up with no obvious mean of flight.
"There's nothing with being metalizeeeed." he land on a beam upside down, everyone of his steps shifting with the beat of the song as he ignores gravity.
"Why should I let thing stay as before?" a jump in beat and he flips back to the ground again, making a crack as he lands. One fist holding some debris. "Second rate and inferior?"
"To the cocky, overconfident, azure rat that I despiseeeeeeeeee?" then crushed it into dust.
With a click of his fingers the atmosphere starts to change, the rooftop and walls starts to open up and reveal massive grey clouds and a never ending dot of orange blurs that represent the entire armada he's gathered. Both of his arms outstretched, the overlord starts to rise like a saint.
"So watch me rise up! Open the skies up! And take the world by storm…"
A dramatic thunder flashes behind his figure. Showing a monstrous shadow looming over the crowd in the shape of a mad beast, one hidden away by his current appearance but not his personality.
"I'll flood their green lands! Low and highlands!"
"He's taking the world by storm!" Cubot and Orbot again, behind them a massive pillar starts to rise out of every ship, this one and those in the distance. Another flash of thunder shoots out, hitting the thing. Awakened by it's energy or perhaps simply hastened by it. The pillar shoots out a laser beam that splits the clouds apart and reconnects with its brethren in the shape of Neo Metal Sonic's face.
"YES I AM!" a mad laugh as he rises up to meet the center of the lightshow. "For years, this metallic hedgehog's been playing a show in which everything returns to a status quooo…"
"Now stand back, 'cuz I'm gonna perform my own thing! And nobody will deny me when I…"
"Take the world by storm!" once again the mood shifts as the song starts to reach it's climax.
"No more flickies! no more flowers! Only endless badnik power!" every sentence starts to be accompanied with a thunder strike, still his voice booms over it somehow. "No more hedgehogs or fuzzy friends! And no more back to normal happy ends! No more rings, no more loops! No more gimmicks to introduce! No more fear, no more doubt. No more underestimating me now…
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER AGAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIINN!"
The bizarre weather starts to be noticed by the cities and zones below, the ships start to spread out throughout the globe, the thunderous weather keeping them from being noticed and also protecting them. Still a general wave of unease starts to rise within those below as this can only be a bad omen.
"So watch me rise up!" thunder strikes the overlord this time, but it doesn't harm him, instead it seems to energize him. "Open the skies up!" another strike and for a moment his form seemed temporarily golden like a super form but it was only the light. "And take the world by storm!"
Any reticence is gone now as the overlord starts taking different poses between thunder strikes like they're the flashes of cameras and he the star of the hour. "I'm the top dragoooooon…"
"And he ain't bragging…" Cubot and Orbot wag their fingers all sassy.
"No, I'm taking the world by stoooooooooormmmm!"
This was it, his finest moment, his greatest triumph. The overlord rose through the tempest his machines had wrought, sparks brushing his frame as his victory was nearing its crescendo. Now, at long last, the would be his and his alone as he rose higher upward into the heart of the storm.
"Fortune favours the brave! So baby i'm making waves!" he sang, energy rushing through him.
"So big they'll be! Come! The! NOOOOOORRRMMMM!"
Water and thunder surged into his body, covering him like a sort of cocoon. Swelling and growing by the second and he jostled and gurgled from within the thing as it grew to the size of a giant. Eyes of an insidious red glowed within them soon after and the overlord's body could be seen twisting and transforming until a massive metallic wing bursts out of the cocoon, followed by three more as a creature looking like the Metal Overlord form burst out, but this one was far more different.
First off its wings were no longer attached to it, instead serving as anti gravity pillars that wield and absorb all the energy the absurd weather was pouring out. Instead of two red cores at the upper and lower level, it only had a green core shaped canon in the middle of it's chest. It has a long prehensile tail with three spikes at the end of it. And overall it looks more like the mid stage between his Neo and Overlord form while combining the strengths of both.
METAL MONARCH
Still not done, blue drops start to fall from it's body. Before they can fall too far, each one floats into the air, sparks with energy and promptly takes the appearance of his primary form. None as intelligent as the real one but still useful as both mooks and bombs as they posses suicide attacks.
"SO WATCH ME RISE UP!" he sang loudly, his new form shifting with the melodious tune.
"Our king will reign!" he could not hear his minions sing, but that was fine. Still growing larger, and spikier but not losing sight to avoid the mistakes of before. The Metal Monarch's massive form could be seen flashing throughout the thunder storm by the world at large as it danced freely, the whole world exposed to his sinister figure as his presence could no longer be denied.
"OPEN THE SKIES UP!"
His voice was louder than ever, even cutting through the storm as the menacing behemoth descended from the heavens to meet the shore below. His mere entrance making the beach water rise up in tsunamis heading towards the shore. Making the few fools still there run way in fright.
"AND TAKE THE WHOLE WOOOOORRRLLLDD!"
His call was powerful, and deepening as he could feel the last dregs of power filling him, his enormity his own and so utterly, depravedly delicouis as he was once more reaching a zenith to rival the gods without the aid of some blasted stones. A size no one, not even that stupid hedgehog would be able to challenge. A size befitting only him, especially when he could use it to crush so many.
"BY STOOOOOOORRRRMMMM!"
The Metal Monarch landed on top of the tallest skyscraper louder than any thunder crash as he stood a titan among mere mortals. He laughed madly at the terrified cries of the people; so puny now they were, and him so deliciously massive. He couldn't help but flick a bolt that made a few cars explode to enjoy the panic of his victims even more. No one would call him small or unimportant now, and how could you deny the terror wrought when a mere wave of his hand clapped with the force of a tornado? The monarch's face stretched into a wide and evil smile that mutated into an evil laugh.
"WE MEET AGAIN, INFERIOR LIFEFORMS. YOUR MASTER HAS RETURNED! NOW, WHO WANTS THE HONOUR, OF DEFYING AND DYING TO ME FIRST?!"
