Lincoln had began running after clearing the gate of the school in clear panic; not wanting to face the back of him once it became clear everything he had done since he got off the van at the school parking lot. Hell even before then when he decided to go to a flower store; what was he thinking? He pretty much made a fool out of himself in front of the entire school body and now Zee the best friend that he made in the city who was pretty, popular and talented with her magic and Perdita who he was starting something good with as a cute nice girl who was an actual queen; will probably never want to talk to him again!
He didn't know where to go and decided to just run past the crowd on the pavement; shoving his way through it and he ended up managing to make his way to Action Comics. He went through the door and some staff members noticed Lincoln and their eyes widened. "Hey... Everyone... Has anyone heard..." Lincoln asked as there were some uncomfortable looks.
"My kid sister tagged me in it..." muttered one of the staff members and Lincoln groaned as they and some customers looked at him in pity.
"If you need somewhere to vent or just take it in Lincoln then you can go to the staff area; not your shift but Chris won't mind. you're his favourite anyway..." John Corben then suggested patting him on the back and Lincoln nodded in thanks. before Lincoln started walking; John put on a concerned look and asked "how are you feeling Lincoln?"
"I just need that space and time to vent John but thanks..." Lincoln replied as he got to the staff area and sat down with a sigh. There was a squawk and Lincoln saw Eagly in his cage noticing his mood and was trying in his own way to cheer him up; Lincoln put on a small smile as he got up and petted him on the head.
"Normally when I see my student trending; he is in costume but no... You definitely made your mark on social media today out of the suit." said a voice and there was an amused Chris at the door to his office as Lincoln just stared at him clearly not in the mood. "Listen... I got a call from your folks asking to tell them if you end up going here... They said that Lynn used some science juice on you and that was her and Lisa's fault and they will be dealing with that... Won't make it better and I will say that if you don't want me to text back then I won't..." Chris then told him and Lincoln thought that this being the result of one of Lisa's science experiments did make sense but how much did it matter?
"Zee and Perdita are never going to want to be seen with me again after this... My social life is over... 2 cool girls that I have completely alienated..." Lincoln muttered as Chris then put his hand on Lincoln's shoulder.
"Lincoln... When I was your age where I grew up... High school life was totally different and the friends I had there; we used to sneak into farms and try cow tipping... Took some time before we realised that it's not something that actually existed or is possible but whatever... We weren't popular and here you are the kind of kid that would be picking on... You managed a group of friends and you have been friends with Zee for years and the teen Queen who you are on first names basis with... Even if they don't like you that way back; do you think that they are so shallow as to alienate you for this? Try talking to them..." Chris then told them and Lincoln thought it over unsure.
"What if they are done with me they decide?" Lincoln then asked as Chris shrugged.
"If they are that shallow... Their loss and good riddance; it's their problem if they don't know what an amazing guy you are... One who I am certain is a better Peacemaker than me... Able to become what I couldn't..." Chris then told him and Lincoln thought it over.
"I think... I might try but... I want to punch out my frustrations..." Lincoln then said as there was a news report on the TV monitors there. Lincoln was dumbfounded as robbing an armoured truck was a man who had arms that looked like they were made of plants and the right side of his body looked like it was part dinosaur and he had a T-rex head next to his head.
"Wow... Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man! I fought him when I was in Charlton City; I let him live and just gave him to the cops because out of pity because... He looks like that so he probably didn't have any options left to him but be a criminal..." Chris then said with Lincoln staring and going to the backdoor.
"Normally; I would be intrigued and excited to fight such a bizarre foe but right now... Ugh..." Lincoln muttered as he went to change.
The other Super Friends were looking all over Metropolis; Bumblebee was flying about with Supergirl with the latter using her X-ray vision to search for him. Wonder Woman was leaping from the top of buildings while peering down as if on a hunt and Limelight was flying about and using her ring to try and scan for Lincoln. Zatanna was floating about the streets deep in thought and Batgirl was leaping from buildings herself while checking her phone for recent sightings of Peacemaker.
Batgirl then found an updated and then gasped; she then called the others and said "girls; Peacemaker has been spotted fighting some sort of plant, dinosaur man thing... Looks like he came out of a move that Cronenberg made while drunk... Between Siegel and Shuster streets..." The Super Friends then all converged on the location to find Peacemaker had taken Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man down to the ground and put his arms around the T-rex head to subdue it.
The crowd cheered as it was over and the police came; Peacemaker then noticed the others coming and was nervous with Zatanna looking like she would stop him but he put his hand up. "Don't worry; I will go and talk... Let me get changed..." Peacemaker then said as Zatanna suggested it as the others went tense.
Big Belly Burger and Lincoln was sitting nervously with Zee and Perdita at a table with the other girls standing by watching tensely from a distance while they were making Perdita's bodyguard stay back as well. "I just want to say... Science experiment or not... I am really sorry for what went down but... I can't say that it made me lie as I really like you both and... I can't really decide who I like more and... Please give us a chance to fix this as I don't want to lose you both as friends..." Lincoln pleaded as then came in Barry smiling as he gave them their orders and let.
They slowly took a bite out of their burgers and Zee and Perdita shared a look and nodded. "We like both like you too Lincoln; we had a talk and... It turned out that we were trying to pair you with the other as we both thought that you were better off with the other..." Zee then admitted and Lincoln's jaw pretty much dropped to the ground upon hearing that and they giggled at that.
"We talked it over and... We thought why not try give this a try... Not rush anything and no hard feelings if this doesn't work out and we can still be friends... Go at the pace that makes us comfortable and... Give you dating us both a try..." Perdita then said as Lincoln just sat there not moving with them frowning.
"Come again?" He asked once he found his voice and then faced the other girls. "Kara... If you pinch me and I don't wake up then this is definitely not a dream so..." Lincoln asked as Kara blinked and thought it over and shook her head.
"Would be funny but I can't do that to you Link; not after the day that you just had..." Kara then replied and Lincoln thought it over.
"You two would be fine with you both dating me?" Lincoln asked sceptically as their smiles brightened.
"Why not? It's only as weird as you try and make it and just make sure you have time for yourself and not overwork yourself trying to please us both. As long as we have you our dorky brave knight; then I will be happy at least." Perdita then said and Zee then gave a bigger smile at her.
"Me too as I have been in love with you for some time..." Zee then said as Lincoln was startled.
"Really... How come I never noticed?" Lincoln asked as there was scoffing from Kara.
"Everyone who has ever seen you both together has wondered that..." Kara shouted out only to get slapped in the arm by a glaring Jessica. "Okay; I had that coming..." Kara sighed.
"Well I don't know if this is normal but normal is kind of overrated so..." Lincoln asked getting up and embracing them both and they did the same with teh girls cheering and clapping and even Perdita's bodyguards joined in.
There was a knock on the Loud House door and Rita and Lynn Sr who were worried about their son; found him at the door and embraced him relieved. "How are you feeling champ..." Lynn Sr asked as Lincoln sighed and nodded looking fine. "LJ! Lisa! Come over here..." Lynn Sr then called out sternly and Lynn Jr and Lisa then walked forward from the kitchen with their heads down at the parents looked at them sternly.
"I will say that Lynn used a lot more than my recommended dose in the water but... I give my apologies to the plot and Lynn was the brains of it all... The first time that she was the brains of anything..." Lisa stated as Lynn jr then went angry but didn't want to risk getting herself into more trouble.
"Yeah; I', sorry too bro... I thought this would help you out but... I made you probably the talk of the school for some time... I thought that you needed a push to confess as I heard you talking to Clyde and I knew what you were like... I am just making excuses but I also thought that helping you would help us hang out..." Lynn Jr then said as well as Lincoln just sighed at them.
"Thanks for the apologies and... I am not really thrilled about what went down but the results... You know if you wanted to hang out then you could meet me and my friends at my work at times..." Lincoln said giving them a wink as they then quickly realised what was implied.
"Well they would be able to as we told them that they are grounded for a month except for if they was anything to make it up to you Lincoln so helping out at your work where they don't think too highly off would be a good place to start..." Lynn Sr then said as Lynn Jr and Lisa groaned at the reminder but Rita picked up on something.
"What did you mean by the results Lincoln?" Rita asked as Lincoln smiled and he stepped to the side to show that Zee and Perdita were standing there smiling as well.
"Mum, Dad and family... You know Zee but I want to introduce her and Perdita to you as my new girlfriends..." Lincoln then said as they blinked taking that in and suddenly the twins, Lily and Lucy appeared as well.
"I have to go get the camera..." Lynn Sr screamed running as Lola was staring.
"Isn't that the teenage Queen of Vlatava; so nice to finally meet you as we didn't get a chance to meet last time you were in Metropolis and I am sure that we can schedule meetings now as I consider myself high society and royalty in all but blood..." Lola then stepped forward looking quite smug as Rita looked stern as she invited them in.
"Lola; you're father and I agreed that you are all to give Lincoln space as we haven't forgotten about the sleepover fiasco..." Rita then told her and faced Perdita. "So sorry about that Zee and your highness..." Rita said apologetically as Perdita giggled.
"No problem as it's nice to meet you all and please; it's just Perdita..." she then replied as Lincoln sighed with a smile.
"You know we will have to watch out for our friends trying to help us out in our new polycule as well; Jessica volunteered to be your plus one to the Palooza to try and steer us both together despite my wishes..." Zee then said to Lincoln who just shook his head with that.
The next day Lincoln was out of the van and to the school grounds where there were still mutterings about; snickers from Guy Gardner and Oliver Queen and he found Leslie Willis and Doris Zuel then went in his way. "Where is your girlfriends Loud? They want to be seen with you?" Leslie asked mockingly as there was Perdita coming forward with her bodyguards as she then took Lincoln's arm and dragged him forward and there was Zee coming out of her limo followed by her father.
John Zatanna then went to Lincoln and embraced him with a smile saying "I have been expecting this though not the how but as long as you are all happy; please take care of Zee for me Lincoln." Lincoln then nodded as Zee waved goodbye to John Zatara and took Lincoln's free arm as she and Perdita then both kissed a cheek on Lincoln's face at the same time and he was a little red faced.
Everyone was staring surprised as Zee and Perdita then gave them looks. "What are you looking at; we are just kissing our boyfriend. Nothing for you all to see here..." Perdita then said as everyone was dumbfounded but they came to the other girls to go into school together.
"Looks like you will have to get used to the stares as well as them getting used to the news." Diana stated as the three then shrugged thinking that they will face this together.
"Plus solving the ship wars that started immediately from the story breaking out in social media; Perditacoln V Zeecoln..." Karen told them amused.
"Well all's well that ends well..." Barbara said as they passed Doris and Leslie just staring at eachother to comprehend this.
After school they were all at the Quantum Unfolding Storage Area; Lynn Jr and Lisa was there and merged together to form Firestorm and was now in an orange and yellow bodysuit with an orange mask with a hole for the face and the flaming head was still there. "What do you think? Lisa had this made for us and we changed into it when we transformed so it will only stay when we are Firestorm?" Firestorm asked as they all gave a thumbs up to the newest reserve Super Friend.
I forever love that Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man exists and those who pitched the idea of having the character appear on the Doom Patrol show and then approving such a concept has my eternal gratitude. So the shipping has commenced with the main pairing coming true now and it's up in the air if I end up decide to add more to the pairing at a later date.
