Chapter 4: Time Flies
Socks jolted awake with a gasp. She looked around frantically, wondering what part of the house she was in.
B-Bluey's bedroom? She thought, still looking at her surroundings. As she repositioned herself to be more comfortable, she felt a throbbing pain sparking throughout her head. It felt as if she was laying on a pillow filled with billions of tiny, pointy pebbles in its pillow case.
"How long was I out for...?" She asked herself, hoping that something or someone from somewhere would answer her. From the left side of the bed that she was laying on, there was an alarm clock on a brown table that was covered with stickers, though Socks knew that it wasn't there before. She's been in her room countless times and knew that Bluey didn't own an alarm clock because she couldn't tell time.
Socks guessed that maybe Bluey's mum was trying to make her learn what time was. A.M and P.M likewise. Or perhaps, maybe the parents come in here to unwind from Bluey and Bingo's nonstop games and tend to look at the clock to see how many minutes have passed by since they relaxed. That, she could understand.
Even for a small, two year old, energetic pup like Socks Heeler herself, she too could sometimes feel tired from the games that Bluey and Bingo come up with. Nevertheless, Socks loves to spend time with both her sister and her cousins.
When Socks looked at the time on the alarm clock, she was surprised to see that it was 3:50 A.M.
"H-Holy-" Socks stammered. She just remembered it being morning. How could it be night time already? Has she really been out cold for that long? She decided to shrug the questions off and go back to bed. But even in her sleep, the questions kept running through her brain like a marathon, worsening the headache. She groaned softly, trying her best not to scream out in sheer pain like this morning.
