Midoriya looked up at Melissa Shield, shocked to even see her here at all. He felt a little flustered when he realized that Melissa was on top of him. She felt a little embarrassed and soon got up. She reached out her hand and pulled him up. He still looked flustered, but tried to shake it off. He was speechless, but AllMight looked at him like he knew she was here.

"M-Melissa?! H-How are you here?!" Midoriya asked both her and AllMight.

Melissa couldn't help but laugh at how excited he was to see her here. At last time he saw her was at I-Island, and he didn't know if he'd ever see her again.

"I actually called her to tell her what was happening," AllMight explained to him, "I thought that someone like her could help with the device. She actually helped a lot at the last minute."

Midoriya's eyes widened and felt like hugging her, but then saw Uraraka looking at them. He felt a little awkward with Uraraka around, but was still excited to have a friend here.

"I can't believe you're actually here!" Midoriya cried out, "I bet you made a lot of great inventions with Hatsume!"

"I actually did," Melissa said back with a smile, "Me and Hatsume have been having a lot of fun making all of these inventions. She just a lot faster at building them than I am."

Midoriya couldn't help but laugh and smiled so widely. He felt so much better already now that Melissa was here.

"Melissa's been staying here ever since I sent the message to you guys," AllMight said to Midoriya, "With how well things are going with her and U.A., she might get a special opportunity to join U.A."

Midoriya's eyes sparkled, feeling so happy for her.

"That's amazing, Melissa!" Midoriya cried out, "You deserve it. U.A. would be a great place for inventions like yours."

Midoriya then remembered Marinette's fashion designs and got so excited to introduce her. Without thinking he grabbed her hand and pulled her towards Ladybug.

"Deku, what're you doing?" Melissa asked him.

Midoriya then stopped once they got to Ladybug who was looking at them confused.

"Hey Izuku," Ladybug said to him, "Who's this? She doesn't look like she's from around here."

"She's not. Ladybug, this is Melissa Shield," Midoriya introduced, "She lives on I island. It's an island that has a lot of scientists and inventors there. She actually makes a lot of inventions for superheroes!"

"W-Well, I hope to. I'm still working on it," Melissa said to her.

"Melissa, this is Ladybug," Midoriya introduced, "She is Parisian's hero back in their Paris. Her and Cat Noir are basically the Symbol of Peace back there."

Melissa's eyes sparkled, realizing who she was. Ladybug got a little flustered from Midoriya's comment and tried to keep it together.

"Really? My Uncle Might is just like you!" Melissa commented, "That's so cool!"

"Uncle Might?" Ladybug pointed out.

"Yeah. My dad and him go way back. They use to work with each other when he was living in California," Melissa explained, "He actually made pretty much all of his hero costumes."

Ladybug's eyes sparkled, realizing what this meant. She was basically related to a superhero fashion designer.

"Y-Your dad is a fashion designer for superheroes?!" Ladybug cried out, "No way! That's amazing! I've been wanting to meet someone like you ever since I heard about people like you in this Japan!"

Midoriya smiled, so happy to see her so full of joy and passion again. Midoriya leaned so no one else would hear him.

"She's actually wants to be fashion designer," Midoriya whispered to her, "Maybe you can give her pointers or tips for superheroes. She actually keeps her identity a secret."

Melissa nodded, understanding what was going on.

"So, tell me about these fashion designs," Melissa said to her quietly, "We could go back to Hatsume's lab if you want. Maybe you could help out with some of them."

Ladybug's wasn't expecting that and looked back at Cat Noir and her teammates. He looked so happy for her and walked up to her, knowing full well what was going on.

"Go on, milady," Cat Noir said to her, "You can come back later."

"But what about Chrysalis and HawkMoth?" Ladybug asked him.

"Don't worry about them," Mr. Aizawa said to them, "We're going to deal with this the way U.A. does. We'll send these pictures out there and see if anyone has seem them around. I'll even get some pro heroes on this job to look out for them. For now, just settle down here. We'll figure out what to do tomorrow. Your teammates can stay down here in the common room so you know where everyone is."

Ladybug smiled when Cat Noir waved her away.

"O-Okay. If everyone's okay with it," Ladybug said, "I'll go with you, Melissa."

Melissa smiled widely and turned over to Midoriya.

"You can come too if you want, Izuku," Melissa said to him, "I really need your opinion on some inventions that I've been working on. I've been wanting you to see them."

Midoriya was a little hesitant to go with her, but then looked at AllMight. He looked okay with it as he walked up to them.

"Sure. Why not?" AllMight said back, "We can talk about our plans later. Besides, you haven't seen Melissa in a while. Go ahead."

Midoriya smiled and followed Melissa and Ladybug out of the dormitory.

Uraraka stood there as she gripped onto Midoriya's backpack. She watched her boyfriend go running off with a girl she thought she'd never see again. Once she showed up, she felt something return. She even noticed Melissa holding his hands at one point when he was too excited to notice.

"So Melissa's back, huh? Things just got a little more awkward..."

On U.A. Campus...

Midoriya felt a little more excited than he excepted while walking down the pathway towards U.A. Just the fact that Melissa was with them made him smile so widely. He never thought that he would see her right after coming back or ever again. As they walked together, all he could do was stare at Melissa talking to Ladybug.

"So, you're a fashion designer back in Paris?" Melissa said to her, "That's pretty cool."

"Yeah. I'm also a graphic designer. I actually also designed a CD for an album one time for Jagged Stone," Ladybug explained, "He's a rock star back in Paris."

"Seriously? You never talked about that," Midoriya cried out with sparkles in his eyes, "Y-You met Jagged Stone?! I heard some of his music, and he sounds amazing!"

Ladybug got a little bit embarrassed, but then realized that she was talking about this as Ladybug.

"W-Well, I actually do all of this not as Ladybug," She tried to explain, "You see, I actually keep my identity a secret. For the most part lately."

"Okay, I understand," Melissa said back with a smile, "So, what's your name? You know, behind the mask."

"I'm Marinette Dupain Cheng," She introduced with her hand out.

"Well, it's nice to meet you Marinette," Melissa said back as she shook her hand.

Midoriya couldn't get over how exciting this was to see his friend from Paris getting along with someone he hadn't seen in a long time. He couldn't wait to see her inventions and what she's been working on lately. They soon made their way into the school building, but Ladybug was shocked to see the front of it so big and grand. She looked at it for a while, so excited to see the school everyone was talking about. Once they made their way inside, Ladybug kept looking around the hallways.

"Melissa, what have you been working on with Hatsume?" Midoriya asked her.

"Oh! I've been working on that full gauntlet that you... Well, you know... destroyed," Melissa said back to him, "I was able to make another one, but also improved it so it was more sturdy."

Midoriya was shocked to hear that she made another full gauntlet since he broke it last time he saw her.

"What's full gauntlet?" Ladybug asked her.

"Well, it's a glove that wraps around your hand. It can withstand AllMight's quirk tenfold," Melissa said to her, "I actually made it even stronger since you might need it for when you fight off a villain next time."

Midoriya then realized that Melissa had no idea about Chrysalis and HawkMoth. She obviously didn't even know about his quirk now being turned into a Miraculous. Then he noticed that her and him were now more relatable than ever before.

"So, you're really going to be accepted into U.A.? That's a pretty big deal considering you're quirkless and all," Midoriya said back.

Melissa didn't seem to be bothered by it and kept walking over to Hatsume's lab.

"Wait a minute, you're quirkless?" Ladybug pointed out, shocked to hear this.

"Yep. I'm quirkless, but was able to work hard to get what I wanted which is to become an inventor. I want to pro heroes in any way that I can, just like my dad," Melissa said, but Midoriya noticed that she sounded there for a moment.

Midoriya knew that she was upset about her dad being arrested. He didn't know if he got out of jail or not. But based on her reaction, he probably still needed to stay in jail for a little bit longer.

"That's gotta be a big deal, right? I heard that eighty percent of the population has some sort of quirk," Ladybug said to her, "I mean, the fact that this school wants you here has to mean that your handiwork and inventions are pretty good."

Melissa couldn't help but blush at what Ladybug just said. She couldn't look her in the eyes as they made their way towards Hatsume's lab.

"Ye-Yeah. Well, I'm just so happy to help out my friends in any way that I can," Melissa said to her, "Deku has a very special quirk, and I want to be able to support him."

Ladybug's eyes widened in shock and realized that she might know about One for All. She didn't want to accidentally say anything, but she at least could tell that her finding out about his Miraculous being missing might make things worse. Ladybug and Midoriya shared a look, and she could tell that Midoriya didn't want her saying anything about it.

Before they knew it, Midoriya finally found the lab. Ladybug got excited for a moment, and went to open the door.

Then Midoriya felt something was off and instinctively pushed Ladybug out of the way. Just like he thought, an explosion caused the door to go flying off of the wall. Melissa jumped back, knowing full well that that might happen.

"A-Are you two okay?" Melissa asked as she fanned the smoke away from her.

As the smoke cleared up, Midoriya found himself on top of Ladybug, protecting her from the explosion.

"We're okay," Midoriya said back, "Are you okay, Ladybug?"

"Ye-Yeah..." Ladybug said as noticed that he was on top of her.

Midoriya felt a little embarrassed once he noticed what was going on. He quickly got off of her with a flustered freckled face. Midoriya helped her up as he avoided eye contact with her. She grabbed it, feeling the same way.

"Oh, hey! It's you!"

They all turned around to see a girl with pink hair pulled back with a pair of red, steampunk like goggles. and yellow eyes that looked like targets. She wore a black tanktop and baggy pants.

"Hey Melissa! It looks like you brought Midoriya, and... who are you?" Hatsume asked as she got into Ladybug's personal space pretty quickly.

Ladybug was not expecting that and tried not to be bothered by it.

"I-I'm Ladybug. I helped Midoriya and his friends get home through the portal that you made," Ladybug explained to her.

Hatsume barely blinked, and Ladybug didn't understand how she didn't remember her. She just saw her not that long ago.

"Sorry. Doesn't ring a bell," Hatsume said to her as she turned around to go back in her lab.

Ladybug was so thrown off and didn't know how to respond to that. Midoriya looked at her, understanding exactly how she felt.

"Come on in. I'm sure Hatsume won't mind," Melissa said to them, "Power Loader might be in there."

Melissa let them inside of the lab, and Ladybug instantly amazed by all of the inventions scattered everywhere. She knew there'd be a lot of inventions, but wasn't expecting to see them everywhere she looked. Hatsume looked like she was working on a piece of what might be the device to the portal.

"So, how's the portal coming along?" Melissa asked Hatsume.

"Going great! I just repaired a couple of pieces to be a little more sturdier!" Hatsume said a little too loudly as she worked on it.

"That's good. We actually might be able to get Ladybug and her team home faster than we thought," Melissa said back.

"Actually... There's still a problem. We don't have the right power source for my baby," Hatsume tried to explain.

Melissa looked at her very confused, which caught Midoriya and Ladybug to worry.

"Wait. What do you mean we don't have the right power source?" Melissa asked her, "Nothing's changed. It should still be same battery for this device."

"Yeah... About that... I made some changes!" Hatsume cried out as she got closer to her, "I was able to make my baby stronger and sturdier so that your Paris friends could go home! But now I had to scrap pieces of it, so now we have to find a different battery!"

"Hatume! You shouldn't have done that without telling me or Power Loader!" Melissa cried out, "Speaking of which, where is he?"

"Oh! He left to get more pieces of the device that were outside," Hatsume explained as she grabbed a tool to use.

Melissa glared daggers at her, and Midoriya and Ladybug had a feeling that this usually happens between them.

"Hatsume. What are we going to use now for the portal?" Melissa asked her, "We don't have any other battery at the ready! We'd have to have one shipped here, and that could take weeks! Maybe even a month!"

Ladybug got a little worried when she was talking about her and her friends not going home for a long time. Just like the others did. She felt her stomach tighten, realizing that Ladybug wouldn't be around to help out Paris. She was just glad that HawkMoth and Chrysalis wouldn't be around for that either.

Midoriya noticed her reaction and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"I'm sure everything will turn out okay," Midoriya said to her, "I know it doesn't seem like it, but Hatsume is very capable of making some pretty amazing inventions. Not to mention she makes them pretty quickly and faster than anyone else here in U.A."

Ladybug understood and tried to get herself to relax.

"Sorry about that," Melissa said back to them, "I brought you here to see my inventions. Why don't we give Hatsume some space?"

Ladybug and Midoriya both agreed with her and followed Melissa into her section of the lab. Her area was less scattered and more organized than Hatsume's. Midoriya instantly spotted her full gauntlet invention right on her desk and got really excited. Melissa lifted it up, and Ladybug was confused to only see a red bracelet.

"What's this? Is this full gauntlet?" Ladybug asked her.

"Yep! I was able to use a stronger material that helped Midoriya out better than last time he used it," Melissa explained to her, "I even added a protective barrier around it so it would help protect it better and also repel any villain that punches it."

Midoriya's eyes sparkled with joy just seeing it again. Melissa noticed the look on his face and handed it to him.

"You wanna try it?" Melissa asked him.

"A-Are you sure?" Midoriya asked, a little thrown off, "I don't want to use it if it's not quite ready yet."

Melissa smiled at him, making him feel a little nervous around her.

"I'm sure. I'm pretty much done," Melissa said to him, "Besides, I was hoping you'd try it out as soon as you got back home."

Midoriya smiled back and grabbed the full gauntlet. He put it around his wrist and remembered there being a button to activate last time. He found it and pressed it, causing the bracelet to wrap around his hand and arm. Ladybug's sparkled when she saw how it worked. It looked like red gauntlet that wrapped around his whole hand and arm.

"Whoa! It feels so much lighter than I remember," Midoriya said to her he as he moved his arm around.

"That's great to hear! That's what I was hoping for," Melissa said back with a smile, "I picked a material that wasn't as heavy as the other one. I thought that it might help with flexibility and maneuvering around villains."

Midoriya pretended to punch something, feeling really satisfied with it.

"This is great, Melissa!" Midoriya cried out, "I can't wait to try it out!"

"I'm really glad you like it, Deku," Melissa said back, "I really wanted to get around to finishing it when I heard about you coming home soon. It looks like I finished it just in time."

Ladybug looked at it with sparkling eyes and couldn't look away. As Midoriya went for a couple of air hits, she thought she saw something going on with the gauntlet. It looked like it was shimmering for a moment there. She thought her eyes were playing tricks on her, so she shook it off.

"Ladybug, what do you think?" Melissa asked her, "Does it need any additions or improvements? I don't mind."

Ladybug snapped out of it and looked back at it again. She got closer to Midoriya and held the gauntlet as he tried not to get all flustered. Ladybug looked at it as she lifted his arm to observe how it wrapped around his arm. She was pretty impressed with the way it protected his arm without getting in the way of flexibility.

"Hmm... It's hard to tell without trying it on myself," Ladybug said to her, "B-But, I couldn't. This is for Izuku, right?"

Midoriya's eyes sparkled, remembering the fact that she now had a little bit of One for All inside of her Miraculous.

"Why didn't I think of that?! Ladybug, now you have to try it on!" Midoriya cried out a little too eager.

Ladybug got a little flustered as Midoriya pressed the button to unwrap the full gauntlet. He took it off and tried to give to her. Ladybug looked back at Melissa, and she seemed okay with this. She looked back at it and picked it up. Something about it felt pretty satisfying to hold onto. Once she put it on, she remembered where the button was and pressed it.

Even though she saw it happen, she was still surprised when it wrapped around her arm and hand. It fit really well, almost as if it didn't matter who was wearing it. She noticed that it must fit to any size. She was so surprised that it felt so light, like she could wear it herself as well. Her eyes sparkled as she observed some more.

"Whoa..." Ladybug said without realizing it, "This is... Something else..."

"Isn't it so cool?" Midoriya said so eagerly.

"Yeah. I've never felt anything like it before. It almost feels like it's a part of my suit. I bet you could add something that could enhance the strength of whoever's using it. Quirk or no quirk," Ladybug said to her.

Melissa looked hesitant as she got a closer look at it.

"Hmm... I don't know if I could that much else to it, but I could probably tweak it a little bit," Melissa said as she played around with it on Ladybug, "I'll play around with it some more, and maybe get back to you on that one."

Once Ladybug was done with it, she gave it back to Melissa continued on with the tour around the lab. Melissa showed her a couple of her inventions, and they were all excited to see what she had created.

Ladybug smiled, feeling so grateful to have met someone like her.

Another amazing chapter!

This was so much fun to write! I absolutely love Melissa, and I've been wanting to add her in for a long time now! I knew that she'd a great addition since her and Ladybug would get along so well. I don't know if I ship her and Midoriya per se, but I do think they'll stuff coming up with Uraraka because of her return. Melissa's full gauntlet came back, and better than ever! Yay!
