Fou observed Team RWBY, it was interesting, the normally animated team that had spent the past week under constant pressure and were able to laugh and live. The previous night they were given a small feast and sat around a campfire excitedly telling tall tales and drinking and it was just… Great. To slow down, to take a moment and breathe.
And now? Now… they moved with purpose. They woke up and immediately started preparing, Ruby serviced their weapons as Weiss organized their ammunition. Yang started running through stretches with Blake, both with firm resolution.
And when they finished? All of the lined up ready to enter the bullhead. "All right, cock-bites, listen up!" Neo stood in front of them, sunglasses obscuring her roaming eyes. Her aura flared, pressure bore down on the team, they all stood with square shoulders and nary a grimace.
"You've been put through hell, and you persevered." She started to pace back and forth slowly. "You took this training and you pushed through. And for that I commend you." She turned, her back toward them, and slowly stepped into the bullhead, each word punctuating her walk. "You're ready, ready to take on your other selves… Team 3.0, ROLL OUT!" She shouted after a moment of silence.
The team invigorated by her words moved in with their heads held high.
The bullhead ride was quiet, the only thought on Team 3.0's mind being of the worst case scenario. Though they had more reason than the hellish training to push through; Seeing Neo, someone who they figured out during their training was from another world, still helped them earnestly was enough reason already for them to further cement their determination.
Landing in a field outside Mountain Glenn's destroyed town, they quickly followed Neo, who seemed to know exactly where to go. Despite them Grimm rushing to attack them near non-stop, all it took was a single *snap* for Neo to unleashed Fou upon the horde. He glided through the horde like the Nightwalker who glides through oceans of blood, it was all one smooth continuous motion.
Team 3.0 brought up the rear and finished off the now immobile and non-destroyed Grimm he left in his wake. And soon they all were fighting like a well oil machine, covering for each other while preserving their strength for the harder fight ahead. The ground shook from a charging Goliath, but it was quickly turned into a pin cushion as Greatswords, Longswords, Katanas, Scimitars and more riddles it's body into nothing more than dust.
Arriving out of sight at the entrance, they saw two people standing guard at the entrance, Coco Adel and Velvet Scarlatina. Of course, these two were Grimmified; Pale skin, Black sclera, Red Irises and desaturated hair colours along with bone white Grimm plates attached to their bodies.
Velvet sniffed at the air for a second before smacking her lips and turning to Coco, saying something loudly for Neo and co to hear. "It's them, Coco. Earlier than we expected too… Let's go inform mistress Neo!" They both turned deliberately at the building they were hiding behind. "Oh, I love the way your twisted mind thinks, Bun-bun…" Coco laughed, patting her Bun-Bun's head as she winked at the building they were hidden behind.
"Good noses… And mistress, huh? I guess Grimmified Neo climbed up the ladder of success" Neo mused before turning back to everyone else. "She… is not Mast- Neo" Arturia muttered with a resolved shake of her hand. "No, she is not Neo, Neo's better in every way!" Fou exclaimed as he added his two cents.
"Alright, they know we're here and they're expecting us, so ambushing them is out." Neo started formulating a plan as she and the team moved forward. "We'll just have to do this the old-fashioned way." Neo cracked her knuckles, hearing Tearwyn cheer in response as Fou gained a feral grin.
"And that is…?" Weiss asked, almost afraid to ask from the feral grins spread across 3 faces.
A massive explosion rocked the caves, and Weiss regretted asking Neo that damned question. For Neo had just gone silent as Fou pulled out bricks of some kinda and ran off. It was 30 second later that Neo rushed forward, they fallowed suit.
And when they arrived at the wall, it exploded, sending force and debris everywhere, as well as casing a small cave in that crushed some Grimmified people. Yet Neo strode forward and stood atop the rubble, looking into the big open cave system.
"Brute force!" Neo finally answered.
