Elinor came downstairs from checking that the movers had gotten everything from the attic. Her mother was in the kitchen crying.
"Moving day," Marianne sighed dramatically. "So many memories here."
"Did they put the furniture in the truck yet?" Elinor asked.
"They dropped the coffee table, but the men told me it was fine," Margaret told her.
"What?" Elinor asked, taking a deep breath to calm down. These things happened with movers. At least this company showed up. Some of the reviews she had read had dozens of people recounting absolute no show movers.
"Margaret, why don't you go play."
