Be Smooth

The morning of New Year's Day, after the whole Starrotech incident, the team opted to sleep in after a momentous victory, including one magician and bird boy.

Zatanna lightly stirred from her slumber. Her mind was a little cloudy. As she tried to stretch, she realized she was being held down by a pair of arms wrapped around her waist. It took a few seconds, but Zatanna did finally realize who those arms belonged to. Relaxing, she breathed a sigh of content as she rubbed the hands that held her. Gently, she loosened her boyfriend's grip so she could turn around and face him. She couldn't help but smile looking at Robin's peaceful face as he soundly slept. His soft breath just barely touching her face made the little moment almost perfect…almost. She found it amusing that he actually slept with his domino mask on. She hoped that one day, she would wake up next to those beautiful blue eyes she longed for. Until then, she was happy to be patient…Well patient on the eyes anyway. No one said anything about waiting to kiss her beloved. So, she leaned forward and began kissing his jaw and trailed downward towards his neck and collarbone.

Finally, tickled by the sensation of Zatanna's feather kisses, Robin woke up. Feeling this, Zatanna leaned back up to face him.

"Hi."

"Hi."

Robin leaned forward and kissed Zatanna gently…..then not so gently. Zatanna squeaked as Robin all but forced his tongue into her mouth. This was a lot for an early morning kiss.

"Haha so eager dear Boy Wonder."

"Hey, it was our first night sleeping together. Gotta make it memorable right?"

"Hehehe", Zatanna laughed as she cupped his cheek, "I could get used to this. Pretty soon I won't be able to sleep without you. I'd miss the warmth and comfort of your arms and the sensation of you breathing into my hair."

"Zee, I'd love nothing more than to just be here and sleep next to you every night. But something tells me Bats won't let me do this as often. Honestly, he let things slide last night because we saved the league."

"Then you're right. We'll just have to make this memorable."

She began to pull and squeeze Robin's torso closer to her, but in the heat of passion, she accidentally pressed on a still healing bruise.

"Ahh," he winced.

"OH sorry sorry. I forgot. Are you ok? Do you need some ice or maybe some more balm?"

"I'm ok. I'm ok. Ahhh. Haha Just uh, be mindful of where you squeeze haha.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," Zatanna said in between kisses to Robin's bruises on his upper chest.

She suddenly blushed as a bold idea came to her.

"Y'know. Since I can't squeeze you very much, in return, I'll let you…squeeze me as much as you want. Riiiiighhht here."

Slowly, she place one of Robin's hands on the curve of her ass.

"Uhh Zee, isn't this….below the belt?"

"Hehe yes, baby. We're….not ready for THAT yet. But….I don't mind some….touching, especially from you. Go ahead, just a squeeze."

Robin did as he was told.

"Wow…..you're really soft."

"Hehehh and you're…..kinda hard."

"huh?….OH….OH NO."

Panicking, Robin tried to back away but Zatanna held him close and tightly.

"Shh shh baby it's ok. Haha it's ok. Truthfully….I'm flattered. I'm really happy you think I'm that….attractive. Tell you what, when we're together like this, you can squeeze me all you want. I'm yours. But when you're healed, you're mine. Deal?"

"Haha you're gonna get me in so much trouble."

"Absolutely. But that's why you love me. Now come back here and kiss me."

Later in the day, when everyone was fully rested and recharged, the Team decided to throw a New Year's celebration party. It wasn't everyday Batman and the League gave them a break to just be kids. Thinking it would add little pizzazz to the party, Kid Flashed raced all the way to Japan to bring back a bag of unmarked candies.

"It's kinda like Russian Roulette. You pick a piece and taste it hoping to get good flavors. The flavors are printed on the inside of the wrapper."

"Oh oh me first! Me first!"

"No cheating M'gann!" quipped Raquel.

M'gann stuck her tongue out as she reached into the bag and popped the first piece in her mouth.

"Woohoo green apple! Miss Martian survives!"

"I guess I'll try my luck." Conner grabbed his piece, ate it, and scrunched up in disgust.

"Ugh….cheese? Really? I'll stick to these instead." From seemingly out of nowhere, Conner pulled out a bag of Scooby Snax.

"Conner, how do you have so many bags of those gummies?" Raquel asked.

"I went to the store."

"Yea but like, for almost three weeks now, you always have a bag on hand. You've been munching on those wherever we go…..Come to think of it, Kaldur's been eating them too."

"Raquel, it is nothing to worry about. Conner and I are simply enjoying the delicacies of the surface world."

"You do realize they're just sugar, gelatin, and some other chemicals, right?"

"Y'know Arty, if you put those gummies into a tube with molten potassium or sodium chlorate, the sugar will immediately combust and you get this awesome explosion….but also a ton of toxic gas."

"Wally, babe, how is it that you know all this science, but you can't write an essay about The Great Gatsby?"

In the midst of all this confusion, Zatanna sneakily grabbed a piece from the bag. When she ate it, she also scrunched up her face in confusion at the odd taste.

"What'd you get, Zee?"

"Bleh….clay."

"Clay?"

Quickly, Robin looked around and saw his friends still jovially talking about Scooyby Snax and Wally's ineptitude at English literature. Seeing his window, Robin swiftly cupped Zatanna's face and pulled her into a long kiss fully utilizing his tongue. Moments later, Zatanna was left breathless and a little stunned with her cheeks burning red. Smirking, Robin got up and went to the kitchen.

"'Tanna? You ok?" Wally asked.

"Uhh yea…he stole my candy."

"Huh? Who? That's ok, here have some more!" Wally reached for the candy bag and handed it to Zatanna.

Meanwhile in the kitchen, as Robin fished out a soda from the fridge, his tongue rolled his new prize around his mouth.

"Huh she was right….this does taste like clay."
