In Tokyo, a giant snake-like EVO was coiled around a woman with a hiss as Rex an Roxie stood at the attention on a nearby rooftop with a smirk.
"I don't know what your 24/7 is, but ours is 10% oh yeah!" Rex narrated as he leaped from the roof, summoned his Smack Hands and then slammed down on the giant snake... and then immediatley regretted it as his sister felt herself about to puke from the fluid that came from it.
"Yeah. That makes the other 90% oh no, bro," Roxie deadpanned as the crew stood in a meeting in Providence Headquarters as Roxie laid her chin in her hand, feeling her eyelids grow heavy.
"Blah, blah, blah, incursion, blah, blah, blah..."
"Not even our amnesia can save us from the morning meeting," Rex yawned. "Sure, working for Providence is awesome and all, but who would've thought being a special forces agent would be so much like school?"
Later, Roxie leaped in to face a frog EVO as she summoned two large gauntlets to her hands as she slammed them together.
"I felt you on that one, bro. Now, this is what we're really in this for: using our powers to fight against EVOs."
The frog EVO roared as Roxie leaped in and slammed him through a car with her gauntlets.
"The monster-pounding part is the life for us," Roxie narrated.
"The brain-boiling briefing part, we could do without," Rex yawned.
That was when Rex was slapped across the head by Six.
"These briefings are gonna be normal operating procedure. Get used to it, kids."
"We can promise you, Six. For a kid, this is not normal," Rex said.
"Numerous new occurrences of EVO activity in North-Equatorial regions including Gambia, Cambodia, the Philippines..."
"Oh," Roxie groaned, rolling her eyes. "If I don't get out of here soon, I'm going to create a baseball bat so I can slug myself to death."
"...and most recently in Cabo Luna."
"Cabo Luna?" Bobo perked up. "Hubba hubba."
"Que Cabo Luna?" Rex and Roxie asked in unison.
"Only the endless sunshine-bikini factory-bodybuilding-spring break capital of the world," Bobo explained.
"We need to call Noah," Roxie said, a light blush on her face visible on her face. "Garbage chute escape. Ten minutes."
"Make it five."
In Cabo Luna, Rex, Roxie, Bobo and Noah all made their way to the beach as Rex retracted his Rex Ride and Roxie dispelled her dune buggy.
"Okay, guys. Next time, can you give me a warning before you just take off and- woah!" Noah exclaimed, looking at the beach that lay before him. "This is Cabo Luna!"
Rex an Roxie then stripped their clothes off, leaving Rex in just his boxers and Roxie wearing a black and purple bikini as they both waded into the ocean.
"Sun, fun, girls!" Rex began as he and Roxie surfaced. "Would we ever steer you wrong, Noah?"
"We're telling you: this is gonna be paradise!" Roxie exclaimed... neither twin noticing some kind of monster retracting its tentacles from a nearby rock and sinking into the ocean.
After swimming, volleyball and suntanning for a bit, Rex grabbed a frisbee from the air and smiled.
"This is perfect. We can hang out, lay low, finally get some normal for once in our lives," Rex said.
"Considering the amnesia, I don't recall ever having a time this normal or this relaxing," Roxie chuckled as she caught the frisbee her brother threw.
"Argh," Bobo groaned, scratching his body. "Sand plus fur equals itch."
"Okay, talking chimps puts a damper on the whole normal thing," Rex chuckled.
Bobo groaned and started hooting like an actual chimp.
"Mas chido," Roxie said, rubbing Bobo's head.
That was when two beach babes in bikinis walked over to Bobo and looked to Rex.
"Is that your monkey?"
"We call him Bobo," Rex said.
"Does it bite?"
Bobo smirked wickedly at the two girls.
"Did you really have to bite her?" Rex asked.
"What did you expect me to do? She called me an it."
"Your fruit punch, senorita."
"Um, I don't think I ordered the-"
Bobo chittered excitedly as Roxie groaned.
"Oh, it's for him," Roxie said, taking the glass and handing it to Bobo.
"You know, Noah," Rex said. "I was thinking that maybe this could help us with our amnesia. Jog our memories. Who knows? Maybe we've been to Cabo Luna before."
"That is a distinct possibility," Roxie nodded.
"Then it must be some pretty bad amnesia," Noah said, noticing all the gorgeous women on the beach. "I don't know how you could ever forget something like this."
"Eh, they're nothing like Dr. Holiday," Rex said, leaning back in his seat.
"Isn't she, like, way out of your age range? She's, like, 28. You just need to get over that whole thing and meet some girls your own age."
The teens suddenly heard Bobo belch loudly as they turned towards him.
"And a low I.Q."
"That's easy for you to say, Noah. I can't just walk up to any girl and say "Hi there. I'm Rex. Oh, by the way, I'm an EVO!' That's kind of a deal breaker."
"And that's just for talking to girls, man," Roxie said. "Can you imagine how hard it is for me to talk to guys being an EVO too?"
"I don't know," Noah said. "I think you're great just the way you are."
"Oh!" Roxie said, a blush rising to her cheeks. "Thanks a lot, Noah."
The red on his sister's cheeks didn't escape Rex's gaze and he smiled and rolled his eyes. But before he could think much about it, he was hit in the head with a volleyball and was sent sprawling into the sand.
"Hey, kid! You gonna throw that back or do I need to call an ambulance?"
The jock who threw the volleyball, named Waylon and his bros beside him laughed out loud... before he was hit back with the volleyball.
"Let's play," Rex said as all of the onlookers 'oohed' at the challenge.
"Uh, Rex, Roxie, you have to know something," Noah said as he stepped up to the twins. "I'm not very good at volleyball."
"Well, you're in luck," Roxie smirked. "We are."
The game soon began as Waylon served the ball, only for Rex to instantly sent it back into the sand, sending the jock trying to catch it only to fail as it he landed face-first in the sand.
Another jock sent the ball up, only for Roxie to bound in and give a double hit up and hit it over the net with a flip of her hair.
This game continued for a bit as the jock sent the ball sailing into Noah's face as Rex ran in to get it and sent it back over the net, only to crash into a passing girl, sending the onlookers cheering at Rex and Roxie's score.
Rex got a good look at the goth girl. She had long hair that was black on top and red at the bottom and brown eyes. She wore a grey top with a red dress over it, gold arm warmers halfway up her arms, grey pants and long black boots.
"Are you alright?" Rex asked as he and the girl stood up. "Did you see that awesome save?"
"Sorry. I was busy trying not to get tackled by some nitwit."
"Hey! No one insults my brother except me!" Roxie said.
"Besides," Rex chuckled. "Look how that turned out for you. And who still uses the word 'nitwit' anyway? I'm Rex."
"Roxie."
"I'm leaving," the girl sighed.
"Hey, wait," Rex said, attempting to walk up to her.
"Hey, Roxie, you're up," Noah said, tossing the ball to her.
Meanwhile onboard Providence Keep, Dr. Holiday was looking on the satellites to track Rex and Roxie, albeit without much success.
"What about the new trackers?" Six asked.
"Their nanites un-built them, just like all of the other things we tried to stick in them," Dr. Holiday explained. "But we're still receiving their biometric readings. It's strange. They're all over the place, almost like their emotions are... shorting out."
"They each took an unusual interest in Calan's briefing in equatorial upticks."
"And that's important because why exactly?"
"Rex and Roxie have been acting a little stir-crazy lately. And I heard the monkey mention something about spring break," Six then turned to the agents at the controls. "Scan all resort areas for their bio-signature."
Rex, Roxie, Bobo and Noah sat down on a rock as they looked over the ocean.
"You have got it all messed up, dude," Noah said. "Falling for some girl? We're supposed to get them to dig us. Not the other way around.
"Well," Roxie said, laying down. "That's not sexist at all."
"I don't know, Noah," Rex sighed. "There was something different about her. She's..."
Rex turned his head to the side and spotted the girl walking down the beach and he instantly beamed.
"...right there! Later, guys."
The girl then noticed Rex and set off into a run with him following into the woods.
"Hey, wait up!"
"I think I should go follow him," Roxie said as she got up and ran after him.
Rex ran into the fray in the woods, only to be tackled by the girl as she glared.
"Why are you following me?"
"Uh... I don't know, exactly."
"Do you think I'm playing?!"
"Well, if you are, I'm down for another game."
A whistle was heard in the air as Roxie ran in and pounded her fists together with an angry look on her face.
"I know you're not about to pound my brother, idiota!!" Roxie scolded.
"Hey, he's the one who tracked me down, girl!"
"It's okay, sis," Rex said. "I thought maybe we could hang out. It is Spring Break after all. You know, fun?"
"I'm with my family. We're not really here for fun."
"What?!" Rex asked. "Who comes to the beach and doesn't have fun?"
The girl then pointed at herself as Roxie raised an eyebrow.
"I'm with Rex on this one. Don't you think that's kind of messed up?"
"Okay, maybe a little."
"So? What do you want to do?"
The girl smiled and shook the twins' hands as Roxie put a hand on her shoulder.
"I'm Circe."
"Rex."
"And I'm his sister Roxie."
Later, the twins whooped out in ecstasy as they raced on ATVs down the sand dunes with Circe cheering as she rode in Rex's ride.
"That was definitely better than my suggestion."
"What do you mean? Hunting for seashells is fun."
Rex and Circe laughed with a blush on each of their faces. And it was at that point that Waylon showed up to ruin their fun yet again as he kicked up sand in the twins' and Circe's faces.
"You three skid marks up for a race to the beach?"
"Well," Roxie said with a smile. "If you drive as well as you play volleyball, we could probably walk there and we would still win."
"You're on, meathead," Circe accepted.
Waylon growled as he took off down the dunes.
"So you were watching me and my sister play," Rex said to Circe.
"Maybe a little."
"Sure you want to do this?"
"Thrill me," Circe said with a wink as both twins fired up their ATVs and took off after the laughing jock as he laughed hard.
"Come on, Rex! Faster!"
Rex and Roxie both used their nanites to make the ATVs go faster, thankfully not catching Circe's attention, as they eventually caught up to the jock before he rammed into Rex's ATV.
Roxie looked ahead and the twins nodded to each other as they hit the brakes and got behind Waylon before he realized there was a large ditch in front of him before the twins each went up a rocky ramp on each side and landed on the beach, pulling over by the volleyball net as Waylon fell into the ditch.
The beach patrons all cheered for the twins victories as they bot off the ATVs and Roxie couldn't help but smile as she waved her hand and played it up for the crowd.
Waylon threw the broken handlebars down as Rex and Roxie stepped up to face him, but not before Circe's phone rang and gained her attention as she looked at the caller ID and gasped sharply.
"Wait," Rex told the jocks as they stepped up to them. "Don't move. I want our friend to see the look on your face right now."
The jocks looked over their shoulders and chuckled. "You mean her?"
The twins gasped and looked to see Circe running away.
"You're a real knack with the ladies, Rex," Bobo chuckled as he and Noah pulled by on another ATV.
Meanwhile, Circe was meeting with, of all EVOs, Biowulf.
"Explain."
"Relax, Biowulf," Circe sighed. "I was covering. Every day I'm out on the end of that jetty when I could be hanging out with the other kids. It's starting to look suspicious to Providence."
"You're not here for vacation, girl. You're here to prove yourself to Van Kleiss," Biowulf growled as he and Breach stepped out from the shadows. "And I'm starting to doubt you can."
"I told you. It's a done deal."
Suddenly, we pan to the Circe's shadow as a hideous extension grew from the young girl's mouth."
The next day, Noah was skipping rocks across the ocean as we see him, the twins and Bobo in their normal attire sitting on a cliffside.
"So what's on today's spring break agenda, guys?" Noah asked. "Jet skiing? Hiking?"
"Eating our weight in crab legs?" Bobo asked as Roxie beamed at that.
"Make it lobster and I'm in."
"Actually, I figured we'd just chill," Rex said. "Let's just see who- I mean what shows up."
Suddenly, the twins and Bobo stood up as they heard a siren-like call coming from below them.
"Do you hear that?" Roxie asked.
"Sorry. Enchiladas," Noah said, feeling his stomach.
"Not you. That," Rex said, referring to the beautiful singing as everyone stood up to run.
"You seriously didn't hear it?"
"Come to papa," Bobo said, dazed, before he fell off the cliff and fell into the water.
"Can you help him, guys?" Rex asked to Noah and Roxie. "I gotta go check this out."
"Gross!" Roxie shouted, shaking her hands. "Do you know what wet monkey smells like?"
"I owe you guys one!" Rex said, running off.
"Dude, that's at least three you owe me!" Noah called after him.
Rex ran down to the rocky terrain at the edge of the ocean to see that Circe was the one behind the siren song with her EVO abilities.
"Circe?"
"You really shouldn't be here right now, Rex."
"I heard something coming from over here."
"I'm serious, Rex. It's not safe for you or your sister."
"Or what? You think that some kind of rogue wave is going to-"
It was almost on cue that a giant tentacled monster rose from the ocean with tons of faces upon its torso as Circe smirked to herself.
"There you are."
The aquatic EVO slammed down on the rocky area leading into the ocean as Circe looked to Rex in concern.
"Get out of here, Rex!"
Circe dove into the water, followed soon after by a disobedient Rex as he swam towards her.
"What are you doing?"
"Me? What are you doing?"
The two looked up at the giant EVO hissing and screeching at them as he looked up to see his sister and friends on the cliff.
"Right now, my job. Promise me you won't freak out."
Rex then dove under the water and swam towards the EVO, jumping on its leg and he hissed at the creature as he formed a Smack Hand and punching it in several faces, sending it crashing into the water, stunning Circe as her jaw dropped.
"Rex?"
On the cliff, Roxie saw the EVO rise from the ocean as she pulled her goggles over her eyes and then looked to Noah and Bobo.
"Well, time to get back to the old grind."
"Have as you will, kid," Bobo said as Roxie did a swan dive off of the cliff into the water before she resurfaced and summoned a jetski as she zipped over to the EVO and her brother and new friend.
"Rex!" Circe said as she swam to Rex.
"My sister and I deal with these kinds of things all the-"
Rex was interrupted when the weight of his Smack Hand began pulling him under the water. Luckily, Circe was there to pull him up, albeit with some difficulty.
"Undo your hand! It's pulling you down! And you're pulling me down!"
Rex complied and changed his hand back to normal as he and Circe pulled themselves onto a rock.
"You're an EVO?"
"You catch on fast. My sister's one too. She can create basically anything with just her imagination."
"Yeah, it takes one to know one."
Circe then inhaled as her mouth formed into its large grotesque form.
"No way!"
Circe let out a sonic scream from her mutated mouth, sending the EVO back as it brought a tentacle on top of them, wrapping them up and then tossed the two into the water... just as Roxie pulled up in a fishing boat with her name on the side.
"Welcome aboard the S.S. Roxie, you two," Roxie said as she manned the harpoon gun at the end of the boat.
"Cover your ears!" Circe shouted. "Both of you!"
"What?"
"Your ears! Cover them!"
Rex and Roxie complied immediately as Circe stretched her mutated mouth out and let loose a mighty sonic scream, which sent the EVO sprawling backwards with a shout and flailing in the water.
Meanwhile, Bobo had just finished climbing back up the cliff with Noah going to help him, only for Circe's sonic scream to immediately hit their area and Bobo immediately covered his ears in pain and fell right back into the ocean, leaving behind an incredibly disbelieved Noah.
"Seriously?"
The EVO groaned in pain before retreating back into the water as Rex and Roxie suddenly ducked under the water as Circe swam over to help them.
However, this was all being observed by Providence, whose headquarters was flying in the air above them.
"Got them," Dr. Holiday reported. "Sudden bio-level spike, then dump. It's definitely Rex and Roxie."
"I'm in the vicinity," Six nodded. "What's their L&L?"
"19 degrees latitude, 96 degrees longitude. Cabo Luna. Picking up seven EVO readings. Three of them are obviously from Rex, Roxie and Bobo."
"Hmm..." Six hummed. "I don't like the sound of that."
Circe had swam the twins over to a nearby beach and had just finished performing CPR on them as Roxie suddenly recovered spat the water from her mouth and her and Rex groaned as they struggled to wake up.
"Did I hurt you?" Circe asked, holding Rex in her arms.
"Yeah," Rex said. "It was awesome."
"We heard a sound that prompted us to come down to the beach," Roxie explained as she held her knees to her stomach. "It's obvious that sound was coming from you."
"I'm glad you two are okay, but now I'm in serious trouble. I have to go deal with it," Circe sighed, standing up and began walking away from the EVO twins.
"Wait," Rex said, standing up. "Why are you in trouble? Is it because of that EVO? Please, let us help you."
"No. I have to do this all by myself."
Rex held her hand as Roxie stood by, rolling her eyes as he gazed into hers. "Meet us later."
"Rex-"
"I've never met anyone like you. Like me and my sister here. It'd be nice to talk to an EVO who's not trying to kill me for a change. 9:00 good for you?"
Unfortunately, as if on cue, Circe's cellphone rang in her pocket and she immediately answered it.
"I'll try."
Circe then ran off and left the twins standing there as Roxie nudged her brother with a smirk.
"Gee, bro," she chuckled. "That girl sure is a keeper."
"It's not a date," Rex said as he and the others were regrouping in their rented beach house.
"Sure it isn't," Roxie smiled slyly, hands on her chin as she laid down on the couch with her feet up.
"When you're on your date make sure you ask her stuff," Noah advised. "Girls like it when you talk to them."
"It's not a date!"
"Buy her some shoes," Bobo said, face buried in a magazine. "That's what girls really like."
"It's not a date! It's just, you know. I'm an EVO, she's an EVO."
"Oh, and ask for the second date before you screw up this first one," Noah said as Roxie kicked her feet with a devious smile plastered all over her face.
"And ask her what her family's like. Her personal life, you know."
"For the final time, it's not a date!"
Later at the resort's restaurant, a dejected Rex sat at a table all by his lonesome as his waiter came out to check on him.
"Your date. I do not think she is going to show up."
"It's not a date," Rex mumbled.
Rex then looked up to see Six standing there with a disappointed Roxie being dragged by her ear.
"Ow, ow, ow," she said as she was dragged to her brother.
"Go ahead, guys. Chew us out," Rex sighed.
"It's time to go, guys," Six said.
"Yeah. We know."
"Wow. You know, I would have expected something a little more resistance from either of you than that."
"What's the point?"
"Sneaking off for spring break was foolish and irresponsible and... completely normal for someone your age," Six admitted.
"Huh?" Roxie asked, perking up.
"Everyone at Providence is so caught up about controlling your nanites that they've forgotten you two can't even control your hormones. I mean, I've seen the way Roxie makes googly eyes at Noah."
Roxie then felt a furious blush rise to her cheeks as she gulped, not even trying to deny it.
"This isn't going to be a 'The birds, bees and machines' talk, is it?" Rex asked, worriedly.
"You two are still young and immature. But in our line of work, Rex and Roxie, you have to be careful. The people we pull in can get accidentally caught in the crossfire."
"We just wanted to have some fun, Six," Roxie explained. "See if we can try to jog our memories. Feel, you know... normal."
"Your 'normal' is different from other people, Rex."
Suddenly, the three Providence agents heard a familiar siren-like singing from the beach and they stood up from the table and glanced ove.r
"It's her, guys," Rex realized. "I have to go. Just please, let me deal with this. Alone?"
"Go get your girl, bro," Roxie said, bowing to him as he glanced at the beach.
Circe was unleashing her siren song to try to signal something, but was clearly not having much success.
"Come on," Circe groaned. "Where are you?"
The EVO girl immediately sensed Rex walking up to her and she groaned with a facepalm.
"You're only here because you heard my call, Rex. I mean, that's what I do. I'm like a giant EVO magnet."
"I came because I thought we were friends, Circe. And what are you calling? I mean, nothing's out there but big, ugly sea monsters," Rex asked.
Circe turned around and was aghast to see two figures approaching from the shadows.
"It's them. You have to leave, Rex. Please, I don't want them to see you with me."
"Who? Your parents?"
"They're not my parents, they're-"
"Huh?" Rex asked as he noticed Biowulf and Breach approach from the shadows, much to his shock as well as Roxie's, who was watching everything from a telescope she summoned.
"The Pack?" Roxie asked.
"Van Kleiss' guys? You're with them?!"
"Yeah... I'm with them."
Circe turned her head and fired a sonic blast at Rex, sending him sprawling into the ocean as Roxie gasped and immediately performed a swan dive into the ocean to save her brother as the traitor stood above the sinking Providence agent along with Biowulf and Breach.
"We're running out of patience with you, Circe," Biowulf told the EVO girl. "You have one last chance. Summon the EVO. Finish the job."
"You think I haven't been trying? Every day for the last week? Sometimes, these things take time," Circe groaned.
That was when the sound of splashing water sounded out as the twins burst out of the water, Rex activating his Punk Busters as Roxie slammed Breach back with a pair of gauntlets she summoned.
"Do you guys have to try to kill every friend we could possibly make?" Roxie asked with a glare.
"You're letting her go, now," Rex growled.
Biouwlf only chuckled. "So this is the person you've been wasting your time with. She's here on her own free will, Rex."
Rex only deactivated his Punk Busters and activated his Slam Cannon in their place as the twins looked over to Circe.
"At least let me tell my side of the story, guys."
"It's not gonna matter," Roxie sighed.
"We've already made up our minds: these guys are bad news."
Rex took some rubble from the boardwalk and fired at Biowulf and Breach. Biowulf avoided and tackled Rex as Roxie charged forwards and tackled Breach to the ground.
Biowulf tried to claw Rex's face, only for Six to run in and tackle him as Roxie took Breach's shoulders and gave a mighty headbutt, knocking the portal EVO to the ground, dazed.
Circe ran off in the confusion, leaving the three Providence agents dumbfounded.
"Circe-"
"You have to leave me alone, Rex! Please!"
Biowulf recovered and tackled Roxie to the nearby rocks on the shore as she recovered as she got onto her back and summoned a massive warhammer to her hands as she spun around and slammed Biowulf into a rock before she snarled outwards and slammed him into the rock again with the hammer head.
Breach sent a few portals to Six, who avoided everything she threw at him as he ran in to punch her. But just before he landed a hit, she opened a portal right in front of him and sent Six crashing right into Rex, who fell into his sister as they fell into the ocean as Roxie looked up to see Circe running off.
And they weren't alone as Noah and Bobo took notice of the entire from the cliff and instantly ran off to join the others.
"Go after her," Rex ordered the twins. "That's an order."
"You got it, Six," Roxie said as the twins ran off after Circe just as Noah and Bobo ran in to watch the fight, a coconut drink in Bobo's hand.
"Don't you worries, big guy. We got your back," Bobo said.
"We do?" Noah asked.
"Nah, my money's on the one with the claws."
Circe was continuing with trying to call the EVO with her siren call, only for Rex and Roxie to run in with a wink.
"The Pack? Are you serious, girl?" Roxie asked.
"To the rest of the world, I'm a freak! Not to them!"
"You're not a freak to us," Rex said. "What about that?"
"What about it? Spring break is fun and all, but we can't live in it, guys. The real world-"
"In the real world, we work for Providence," Roxie said. "You could come there with us!"
"No I can't!" Circe screamed. "I'm running out of time. Most people on this planet want EVOs gone, including Providence. With Van Kleiss, I have a purpose- a home. You don't know what that means to me."
"Actually, I think we do," Rex said, glancing at his sister.
"So what are we going to do?"
The trio of EVOs then heard a massive roar and looked to see the tentacled EVO from earlier roaring at them as it made its way to the beach.
"Well, for starters, how about we fight that big giant monster again?" Roxie whimpered.
"Finally. That's what I came here for."
"Wait a minute," Rex realized. "You've been calling that EVO here all along, haven't you?"
"It's my initiation into The Pack. I was brought here to capture it."
"By yourself?" Roxie asked. "That's suicide! The three of us could barely take it on together!"
"There's an entire resort here! Innocent people!" Rex shouted. "Send it back!"
"That's not an option, guys. Van Kleiss was very specific."
"Van Kleiss can't be trusted!" Rex shouted. "If you can't send it back, we're helping you."
"That's not an option either."
Circe sent her powerful sonic waves out, which blasted the twins back into the rocky cliff behind them before she turned her attention back to the EVO, blasting him with her sonic waves.
Meanwhile, Six still had his hands full with both Biowulf and Breach.
He was clashing and slashing with Biowulf's claws with his swords, not deterred in the least bit. Unfortunately, a portal opened behind him and Breach popped out and started trying to drag Six in by his shoulders while he was still parrying Biowulf's swipes.
Bobo and Noah came in with a slide down the rocks as Bobo tossed his coconut drink in the air.
"Go for it, kid!"
Noah leaped into the air and gave a hit to the coconut, sending it sailing to Breach, causing her to let go of Six, sending her back through her portal, which closed behind her and Six was able to get a drop kick to Biowulf, defeating him.
The giant aquatic EVO attempted to bring its tentacles down on Circe, who parried them all with her sonic blasts.
Rex and Roxie attempted to try to help her, only for her to blast them with her sonic scream, sending them sprawling into the sand.
"If I do this myself, I'll have a life," Circe explained. "If I don't, Van Kleiss will not be happy. And you two know better than anyone what he does when he's not happy."
"Van Kleiss is never happy," Roxie groaned, getting up.
"If we don't help you, he won't even get the chance to kill you," Rex said, only for him and his sister to get blasted again, breaking Rex's Smack Hands.
"Give me some credit, guys. I'm not as helpless as you think."
Bobo ducked and dodged past Breach's portals before leaping up and nailing her in the chest as Noah performed a sweep kick on her legs, sending her int the water.
Bobo laughed in hysterics, only for Breach to pop up again and managed to hit them with a large portal, sending them into the desert, which caused Bobo to slow his laughing before he groaned out.
Above Breach, Six was still fighting with Biowulf, kicking him down and he bared his sword at his throat... only for Breach to pop up beside him and send him right next to his colleagues.
"Hey, what took you so long?" Bobo joked.
"Providence," Six shouted. "Lock onto me and send my jump jet to these coordinates."
Circe dodged another tentacle strike, only to crash into the sand and looked on in fear as the EVO loomed above her. It brought down another tentacle, only for it to get instantly severed, causing the EVO to scream in pain and looked down to see Rex with his BFS out as Roxie held two twin swords in her hands.
"I don't care whose side you're on, Circe," Rex said. "I just don't want to see you die today."
"We're the only ones who can take this thing down for good, no matter how tough you are," Roxie said. "Your kind of powers clearly aren't designed for taking down this kind of EVO."
"You have no idea what I'm in for, guys," Circe said as Rex held his hand out to her. "...But you're right. I can't do this all by myself."
"You're not as helpless as you think you are," Rex said.
Circe took his hand as Rex lowered his goggles and Rex adjusted the positioning of his sword, turning it into a buzzsaw as Roxie lowered her goggles and leaped up as Circe sent her flying up with her sonic blast as she kicked off several tentacles, slicing them off with her swords as her brother sliced the EVO's legs off down below.
Circe smirked as she sent out a massive sonic blast from her mouth, sending the EVO into the water.
Rex and Roxie continued their work, slicing the tentacles, only to get grabbed from behind, their weapons being destroyed in the grip.
"Circe! Help!" Roxie shouted.
Circe nodded and sent out several sonic blasts that destroyed the tentacles holding the twins as Rex activated his Smack Hands, grabbed his sister and tossed her into one of the EVO's mouths as she summoned her gauntlets and smashed the creature's insides with a shout of fury.
Circe braced herself from the impact caused by Roxie as Rex landed on the ground as the EVO fell limp, dead.
"Rex, Roxie, you did it!" Circe cheered.
"You know, we make a good team, Circe," Rex said as Circe blushed heavily, wet from the water crashing down on them.
"Yeah. We really do."
Rex and Circe leaned in for a kiss, much to the female Salazar twin's approval... only to be rudely interrupted as Biowulf and Breach stepped out of a portal.
"This trial was for you and you alone," Biowulf scolded. "Van Kleiss will not be pleased."
"Forget them, Circe," Rex encouraged. "Come with us."
"Providence could really use someone like you," Roxie begged.
"That's your life, guys. Not mine. I'm so sorry."
Biowulf and Breach stepped back through the portal and Circe looked back at the twins with a small smile.
"I did have fun with you guys, though."
The portal instantly closed as Circe stepped through it, leaving the twins alone on the beach just as Six's jumpship touched down near them and Six stepped out of the cockpit and met the twins on the shore of the beach.
"I could probably buy you a few more days here if you want," Six suggested.
"Nah, we're good," Rex said, dejection clear in his voice. "Right now, I just want to go home."
"He's had a rough few days," Roxie said, hands in her pockets as she followed Rex to the ship.
"Hey, you two wanted normal?" Six asked, getting the twins attention as they turned to him. "I got news for you: what you're feeling right now, Rex, about her? It doesn't get any more normal than that."
Rex smiled softly as Roxie chuckled and jabbed his arm as he rubbed it.
"So, when you gonna ask Noah out?" Rex asked, startling his sister, a furious blush rising to her cheeks as she growled at her brother furiously.
"It's not like that!" she denied.
"Right," Rex said, slyly.
At Van Kleiss' castle, Circe was being restrained by Biowulf and Breach as the leader of the Pack only sighed, disappointed.
"We had high hopes for you and your abilities, Circe. Failure leaves its mark on yet another pretty face."
Van Kleiss stepped towards the siren EVO, claws growing from his golden gauntlet as she glared at him.
"I'm not afraid of you, Van Kleiss."
Van Kleiss brought his claws up to her chin, only to immediately retract them.
"Of course you aren't. You're a survivor, like all of us," Van Kleiss said, gesturing to his team. "I happen to know you made two friends during your trial at Cabo Luna. I'm pleased. Rex and Roxie are very important to me, Circe. That makes you very important to me as well. Welcome to the Pack."
