Chapter 2: Come Together Pt. 2
Previously:
"What is happening to ME?!" "Welcome to N-Tek." "What's happening to him?!" "He's going critical!" "Steel?! That's not possible!" "You ain't seen nothing yet." "Is that a fire monster coming at us?"
(Intro)
Max, Steel and the quintuplets continued to fall towards the bottom of the gorge. "Steel, if we ever hit rock bottom, literally, I just want you to know one thing." Max said. "Yes, Max?" Steel asked. "This was fun while it lasted!" Max exclaimed. "Don't count your blessings just yet, cousin!" Vandana exclaimed. She used her mana powers, created a mana ball-like barrier, caught herself and everyone else, and hovered in the air, saving them from their fall. "Whoa! Very impressive." Steel said with impression. "Thank you." Vandana said.
Just then, a Jump Jet swooped by, caught them in its tractor beam and pulled them inside. "We're okay!" Max exclaimed as he and the quintuplets rushed up to the front. "Strap up and pipe down." Forge said, revealing himself to be the pilot as he flew out of the canyon. "Okay, what's going on here, Dad?" Yeager asked. "Yeah. What was that beast?" Wandella asked. "An Elementor. 1 of 4 monsters capable of controlling the 4 elements." Forge said. Max and the quintuplets weren't convinced. "What I want to know is how on Earth you're still alive?" Forge asked. "Well, Uncle Ferrus, sorry to disappoint you-" Max tried to say. "Max, I think he's referring to me. And really, sir, it's all thanks to Max here." Steel said. "Yeah. My Turbo Energy reactivated him." Max said. "Okay. But what were you thinking, Steel?! Attacking N-Tek Agents and stealing N-Tek ordinands?!" Forge exclaimed. "We were escaping. Obviously." Steel said. "Escaping? You weren't a prisoner, Steel." Forge said. "I wasn't? Oh. My apologies then." Steel said as he apologized. "It's good to have you back, Steel." Forge said. "So, Steel was my dad's special project?" Max asked. "Yes. But after the accident, we all thought after the accident, he was gone too. But it's good to see you again." Forge said. "I wish I could say the same, sir, but I have no recollection of you." Steel said. "He said his memory core was damaged." Max said. "That's unfortunate." Forge said sadly. But then he perked back up. "On the bright side, now that you 2 are Ultralinked, Steel can help regulate your Turbo Energy. First order of business, Steel, you're going to suppress Max's energy signature." He instructed. "That's how the Fire Elementor tracked us, right?" Steel asked. "Yes. The others will soon follow." Forge said. "Right. Initiating Turbo dampening protocols." Steel said, merging into Max's suit. "How long is that gonna take?" Xena asked. "Signature suppressed." Steel said. "Whoa! That was fast." Vandana said.
At THI, the employee lost signal. "Uh, sir? I have some bad news." The employee said with worry, making Naught look at him.
"Second, tomorrow, you lot report to N-Tek for testing. And finally, no one is to mention any of this to Molly or Amelia." Forge instructed. "They'll kill us if they find out." Max, Forge and the quintuplets said simultaneously. By then, the Jump Jet was reaching the city. "Dad? While our minds are on the subject, what exactly are our mana powers? And how are they passed down from our mother?" Xena asked. Forge sighed, knowing that he had to tell them. "Your mother is actually an Anodite, an energy being from another planet. An alien, as you would say." He revealed. The 6 and Steel were shocked by this. "But Aunt Amelia looked human to us." Max said. "She's disguised as a human to hide her Anodite form from other humans." Forge said. "How did you and Mom meet each other, Dad?" Zad asked. "I'll tell you kids that story another time. Promise." Forge said.
Meanwhile, back at THI, Dread was not happy. "What do you mean you've lost the Turbo Energy signature?!" He asked angrily. "I…I don't know. It just vanished. Shall we resume our initial plan?" Naught asked. "NO! You will find me the source of that Turbo Energy or you will find yourself terminally unemployed!" Dread exclaimed. "Well, I won't like that." Naught muttered.
Later, 2 female ninjas in high-tech armors, one black and the other white, dropped down from the vents. They scanned the hallway with their visors, detecting a very high security system of laser grids. They got set and ran towards the security grids, flipping through them without triggering the alarm. Then they came right up to Naught's private office. The black ninja scanned the access pad and started hacking into it. Just then, someone cleared his throat. The ninjas turned to see 4 security guards standing beside them. The black ninja flipped over the first one and tossed him into the wall. The second one grabbed her from behind, but she head-butted him in the nose and kicked him into the access pad. The white ninja trapped the other 2 in balls of magenta mana energy and slammed them against the wall. Afterwards, the pad was hacked and the door opened to Naught's office. The ninjas entered and made their way to Naught's desk. The black ninja scanned the tablet while the white ninja went down to the room where Naught contacted Dread. She pulled up a blueprint for an unknown machine and scanned it before going back up.
Meanwhile, the Jump Jet had just arrived in the city near the apartment. "Thanks for the ride, Dad." Xena said. "Remember, keep a low profile." Forge said. "Low profile. Got it." Max said as he, the quintuplets and Steel hopped out of the Jump Jet before it took off.
As they entered the apartment, Max shushed everyone to keep quiet. But then he tripped over some of the boxes that were left on the floor since they moved in and made a noise. "Max? Is that you, hon?" Molly asked. "Kids? Are you home?" Amelia asked. "Uh oh. Busted." Max said with worry. "Not yet. I got an idea." Vandana said. The quintuplets covered Max and Steel like a human wall just before Molly and Amelia came in. "Hey, kids. Where's Max?" Molly asked. "He's in his shared room, Aunt Molly." Vandana said. "Yeah. He's working on a new project for his science class tomorrow at school." Yeager said. Molly and Amelia smiled at each other. They were convinced. "Well, you kids should get to sleep. For you all have school tomorrow. And tell Max too." Amelia said. "Will do, Mom." Wandella said. As soon as the 2 mothers walked out of the living room, the quintuplets sighed in relief, uncovered Max and Steel before they each went off to their own rooms and said their goodnights to each other as they went to bed.
Later, Molly and Amelia looked through the tablet that has a weird machine. Amelia then picked up her phone to call her husband. "Forge, honey, we need to meet." She said with a serious tone. Molly placed the tablet on the sofa, next to 2 familiar helmets, revealing that she and Amelia were the 2 ninjas that broke into THI.
[Dream]
Max woke up and found himself in some kind of void. "Where am I?" He asked. "You are in a dream, young Maxwell." A woman's voice said, echoing through the void. Max turned to see a woman in a dark blue robe and hood standing in front of him. "Who are you?" He asked. "Who I am is not what I have come to tell you." The mysterious woman said. "Then what do you have to tell me?" Max asked. "You must find the Gaia Crystal. It must be protected from the forces of darkness." The mysterious woman explained. "The Gaia Crystal? What's that?" Max asked. "A powerful crystal that can give lots of life in this universe. But in the wrong hands, it can be used for terrible destruction. Find the crystal and protect it, Maxwell McGrath. You and your friends are the universe's only hope." The mysterious woman said before she disappeared.
[Dream End]
Max woke up with a big yawn. "What a weird dream." He said before he looked at his suited hand. "Good thing this wasn't a dream too." He soon got up from his triple bunk bed that he shared with Yeager and Zad. Zad slept on the bottom and Yeager slept on the top while he slept in the middle. "Steel?" He called as Yeager and Zad woke up too. Just then, there was a knock on the door. "Max? Yeager? Zad?" Molly called. "Hey, Aunt Molly. What's up?" Yeager asked as he answered the door. "Just wanted to make sure you boys were up. The girls are already out having breakfast. You all have to be out the door by 15." Molly said. "Will do, Aunt Molly." Yeager said, closing the door. The boys continued to look around for Steel, but couldn't find any sign of him. Just then, there was a muffling noise coming from the ceiling. The boys looked up and…saw Steel stuck on the ceiling with webs. They were shocked to see him like that. "Hold on, Steel. I got you." Zad said, using his mana powered telekinesis to remove the webs off Steel. "What happened?" Max asked. "I was pranked by a bunch of little creatures." Steel said. Then the slugs came out of their hiding spots and chittered for a good morning greeting. "What are they? I'm familiar with Earth's slugs, but I've never seen ones like these before. They're so different." Steel said. "We'll tell you later, Steel. Right now, we gotta get to school." Max said. "Right. I spent last night scanning your clothing so I can replicate your…unique look, seeing how it's unsafe for you to remove the Steel Suit before I got pranked by those slugs. And so, through the use of sophisticated holographic refraction process and advanced tactile warping algorithms, I can make it seem as though you're wearing your everyday attire." Steel explained. "So, Camouflage Mode." Max guessed. "Exactly." Steel said. "Why didn't you say anything yesterday?" Max asked. "You never asked." Steel said. "Yeah, good point." Max said.
Steel linked up with Max and created a holographic outfit. But Max ended up wearing one of his mom's clothes, making him scream. Yeager and Zad laughed at this. "Oops. Sorry. This was from when I scanned your mother's closet." Steel said. "Wait. What were you doing in-" Max tried to ask. But Steel cut him off as he created a different outfit with a blue jacket with Steel's mark on it. "Whoa." Max said with impression. "Now that is style." Yeager said. "Totally. Wait 'til the girls see this." Zad said. "Yep. Not bad if I do say so myself. You are still safely contained in the Steel Suit. But now you are dressed in your normal fashion." Steel said. "Great. Thanks, Steel. Now get in my backpack. We have to get to school and I still need you." Max said. "Right." Steel said as he got in Max's backpack.
Once they got to the school, they met up with Kirby in the hallways. "Hey, guys. I wanna say thanks again for yesterday. Those bullies were really close to damaging their fists on my face." Kirby said. "No prob, Kirby." Max said. "Yeah, we always help our friends." Wandella said. "We all should totally hang out sometime. Let me give you guys my number." Kirby said, pulling out his phone. "Sure." Max said. "Ladies first." Kirby said, winking at Xena, who giggled as she brought out her phone while blushing. Kirby dialed his number into her phone. "Thanks." Xena said. Kirby then each dialed his number into the rest of the quintuplets' phones. But when he came to Max, Max saw that he still had Sydney's phone. "Oh no! I totally forgot! Sydney's gonna kill me." He groaned as he walked away. "Thanks, Kirby. We'll catch you later." Yeager said as he and his siblings joined Max.
"Who's Sydney?" Steel asked from Max's backpack. "She's this girl we met yesterday and I kinda destroyed her phone with my Turbo Energy." Max answered. "How did you even get her phone anyway?" Wandella asked. "They accidently got switched after Butch tripped me." Max explained. "May I see it? I can fix it in a flash." Steel said. "Okay. Let's head for the cafeteria so we don't get caught." Max said.
Once they got to the cafeteria, Max handed Sydney's phone to Steel and he started repairing it. And in just a few short seconds, he gave it back to Max, good as new. "Max, there you are." Sydney said as she walked up to Max and the quintuplets. "Hey, Sydney." Max greeted. "Cool, you remembered to bring my phone." Sydney said. "Yeah. Here you go." Max said as he traded Sydney back her phone with his. As Sydney looked at her phone, she noticed something new. "Wow! Max, that's amazing. You made me a playlist." She said. "I did?" Max asked, surprised. "He did?" The quintuplets asked, surprised as well. "You did." Steel said in Max's mind. "Oh. Yeah. I figured you could use a bit of music. So, I picked out of cool tunes for you." Max said. The quintuplets looked at each other, knowing that Steel was behind this. "But how? My phone couldn't play music before." Sydney said. "I kinda tinkered with it." Max said. "Wow. I can't wait to listen to it. See you later…Maxwell McGrath." Sydney said as she left. "You added a playlist?" Max asked as soon as she was gone. "She's nice. I could tell you like her. So, I did something special." Steel said. "Thanks. Now let's get to N-Tek." Max said.
Max and the quintuplets ran into an alley. "Okay. Where did Uncle Ferrus say the entrance was?" Max asked. "There. I think it was that wall." Vandana said, pointing to a wall at the end. Max fired a pulse of Turbo Energy at it and it opened a secret entrance, a 6-seated ride. Max, Steel and the Ferrus Quintuplets were impressed. They ran up to it and Max and the quintuplets each sat in one of the seats. Steel linked up with the controller and they all travel down the tunnel in high speed as they head their way towards N-Tek HQ. "This is awesome!" Max exclaimed.
Once they arrived, they were greeted by Forge, Berto and Kat, who were preparing an arena for the test. "You ready to get started?" Forge asked. "Ready." Max said. Forge nodded.
Max stepped into the center of the arena. The quintuplets stood with Forge, Berto and Kat. "Go Turbo!" He called. Steel linked up to him and changed Max's outfit to his Steel Suit. "Today, we're interested in learning everything we can about your powers and your link with Steel." Forge said. Berto activated one of his testing robots called a C.Y.T.R.O. "Knowing your limits will help us keep you and everyone around you safe." Forge said. Berto sent the robot into the arena for the test. "Say, I like that robot's design, Berto." Max said. "Thanks. I designed it myself." Berto said. "What kind of power core does it run on?" Max asked. "It's a special fusion reactor combined with quantum energy cells." Berto said. The 2 just continued with all the science talk for 10 whole minutes. "Knock it off! We're supposed to be testing Max's powers, remember?" Forge reminded them. "Oh, yeah. Sorry, Commander. Go ahead, Max. Attack it." Berto said. Max ran towards the robot and prepared to punch it. But the robot just swatted him away. "Incoming!" Steel exclaimed as the robot prepared to punch Max. But Max rolled to the side. "Go Turbo! Strength!" He called, activating Strength Mode as Steel linked up to Max. As the robot prepared to slam down on Max, he punched a hole through the robot. "Head's up, Berto." He said as he knocked the robot's head off, sending it into Berto's arms. Berto activated another robot and sent it into the arena. "Max, look out!" Steel exclaimed as the robot prepared a laser cannon, firing lasers at Max. He jumped to dodge the first one, but the second one sent him into the wall. Strength Mode deactivated as he landed. The robot continued firing lasers at Max, who continued dodging them. As Steel de-linked from the suit, Max charged him with Turbo Energy and tossed him at the robot, slicing it in half and destroying it. "Whoa." Forge said with impression. "Kid's pretty good." Kat said. The Ferrus Quintuplets watched with impression as their cousin was doing well with his Turbo Powers.
Max noticed Steel was a bit dizzy from that last move. "You okay, Steel?" He asked. "Yep. I should be okay in a few seconds." Steel said. "Your robots are pretty impressive, Berto." Max said. "Thanks. But the test isn't over yet." Berto said, sending in 5 more robots. "Go Turbo! Strength!" Max called, activating Strength Mode once more. He bashed down 2 of the robots, but the other 2 blasted him towards the 5th one, who blasted him into the air. Berto cringed at that. "Ooh! That was too much." He said.
Max began to fall back down towards the arena. "Steel, you got any modes that can fly?!" He asked quickly. "Hold on." Steel said, scanning through the modes. "Here!" He activated the suit's new mode. "Alright!" Max called as they flew through the air and landed safely in the center. "Alright, that's it for the test. Great job, you 2." Forge called. "Sorry about shooting you up in the air like that, Max." Berto apologized as Max walked up. "That's okay, Berto. If you hadn't, I never would've discovered my new Flight Mode." Max said. Just then, Max got a call from his phone. "Hello?" He said as he answered it. "Oh, hi. Really? Okay. Okay, bye." He said as he ended the call. "Who was that?" Wandella asked. "That was Sydney. She just asked me out on a date." Max said. Suddenly, Xena's phone rang. "Hello?" She said as she answered. "Hey. Really? Oh, of course. See you then." She said as she ended the call. "And who was that?" Yeager asked. "Kirby. He just asked me out too." Xena said. "What's that? Someone asked you out on a date?" Forge asked, getting protective. "Whoa! Easy, Dad." Xena said. "Xena, you know I don't take kindly to boys asking out my daughters out on dates." Forge said. "Uh, Dad? I know you might not like this. But Berto asked me out on a date too." Vandana said. Berto gulped as Forge looked at him. "You do anything to hurt my eldest daughter and I'll fire you from N-Tek, Berto. Am I clear?" Forge warned. "Yes, Commander!" Berto understood in fear. Just then, Max's phone shorted out caused by his Turbo Energy.
Later on, Max, Xena and Vandana got ready for their dates at their apartment. Wandella, Yeager and Zad were waiting outside their rooms. Then after a few minutes, Max came out wearing a nice suit. Vandana and Xena came out wearing beautiful dresses. "Whoa. Van. Xena. You 2 look beautiful." Wandella said. "Max, you look really dashing in that suit." Zad said. "As an expert on fashion, I have to say, you 3 look extremely wonderful for your first dates." Yeager said. "Thanks, guys." Vandana said. "You really are the best." Xena said. "Are you sure you guys don't mind staying here on standby?" Max asked. "We're sure." Yeager said. "Yeah, you 3 deserve this." Zad said. "Especially after everything we went through this week." Wandella said. "What about you, Steel?" Max asked. "I'm gonna stay too. I'm not gonna give you any trouble on your date." Steel said. "You sure you're okay with that, buddy?" Max asked. "I am positive." Steel said. "Okay then. We better get going." Max said. "Right." Vandana said as Xena nodded.
Later, Max, Xena and Vandana were waiting outside a café for their dates. "I can't believe I actually agreed to wear this monkey suit." Max said, tugging on his collar. "Relax, Max. I'm sure Sydney won't mind." Vandana said. "Speaking of which, here they come." Xena said. Sydney, Kirby and Berto were walking towards them. Sydney was dressed up in a nice dress herself. Kirby and Berto had nice suits on too. Max was in awe at how beautiful Sydney looked at night. "Well, look at you guys all dressed up." Sydney said. "Same with you guys." Max said. "So, who's the other guy?" Kirby asked, pointing to Berto. "This is Berto. He's my date." Vandana said. "Good to meet you both." Berto said, shaking hands with Kirby and Sydney. "You too." Sydney said.
Unknown to them, Forge was meeting with Molly and Amelia at the same café. "Molly, Amelia. Luckily, I happened to be in Copper Canyon when you called." Forge said. "Quite a coincidence, beloved." Amelia said. "Though I guess we could've just come to you…in your secret Copper Canyon facility." Molly said, making Forge choke on his coffee. "Okay. You got me. You 2 were always the best of us." Forge said. "And we still are." Amelia said, handing her husband the tablet.
Meanwhile, inside the café, the 3 couples sat at different booths next to each other. "So, what's it like being the eldest of the Commander's quintuplet children?" Berto asked. "Well, it's kinda hard. As the eldest, my siblings look up to me. But I managed to help them set their own paces. It's been that way ever since we were kids." Vandana explained.
"I still can't get over your sister. She really put the beat down on those bullies yesterday. How is she so tough?" Kirby asked. "Well, like she said yesterday, she had it rough since childhood." Xena said. "How rough?" Kirby asked. "Wandella always hated bullies. One day, she saw the bullies picking on me and my brothers. She just snapped and beat them to a pulp. Teachers saw everything that happened, but they didn't say anything against her. They knew she was looking out for us. I'm quite happy to have her as my sister." Xena explained.
"So, tell me about your childhood friends. The Shanes and the Wheelers. What are they like?" Sydney asked. "Oh, where do I even start? Back then, those 4 were the craziest bunch of best friends me and my cousins could ever ask for." Max explained. "Eli and Harley were always so following of their father's work with slugs, and Vert and Olivia were very passionate about really fast and tough vehicles." "You said you haven't seen them in 10 years." Sydney said. "Yeah. After my dad died, my mom and aunt moved us away from our old home 10 years ago. We were all really sad when we moved away." Max explained sadly. Sydney gently took his hand out of kindness.
Meanwhile, Forge looked over the machine on the tablet. "Seems to be some sort of giant energy collector." He deduced. "But what's it for?" Amelia asked. "Who knows? THI invested millions of dollars into this thing." Molly said. "I knew THI was rotten." Forge said. "So, is that why you arranged a job there for us, honey?" Amelia asked. "Amelia, you're retired. Both you and Molly." Forge assured. "You knew we'd take the job and you knew we'd go poking around once we got it." Molly said. "Once N-Tek agents, always N-Tek agents." Forge said.
Meanwhile, Wandella, Yeager, Zad and Steel were chilling at the apartment. Zad was feeding the slugs with slug chow for dinner. Yeager was reading a fashion magazine. Wandella was watching TV. And Steel was looking through the family photos in the family albums. "Such a lovely family. I wish I could remember my family life." He said sadly. Then he found another album and started looking through it. It had pictures of Max and the quintuplets playing with their childhood friends as kids. "Who are all these kids?" He asked. "That's us and Max as kids, playing with our childhood friends, Eli and Harley Shane, and Vert and Olivia Wheeler." Zad said. "Hmm. I have no recollection of these 4 children. But yet they seem so familiar for some reason." Steel said. Just then, Wandella gasped with realization. "What's up, sis?" Yeager asked. "I just realized! With Steel here while Max is on his date with our sisters, that Elementor can track him now!" Wandella exclaimed. Yeager and Zad gasped. "What have I done?!" Steel exclaimed.
Meanwhile, at THI, the employee picked up Max's Turbo Energy signature. "Sir, we got it again." He said. "Scramble the troops! And this time, let's be sure to make Big Daddy happy!" Naught exclaimed. "Yes, sir!" The employee exclaimed.
Meanwhile, back at the café, the 3 couples were happily sipping their drinks. Suddenly, the ground started shaking. "Huh? Did you guys feel that?" Max asked. "Yeah." Sydney said. "What was that?" Vandana asked as the ground shook again. "Whatever it is, it can't be good." Max said. The 6 exited the café and saw a fire wall coming in from the right and an earthquake cracking up the streets on the left. "Yep. All bad." Max said in worry.
The people started running and screaming from all the chaos. "What is that?!" Sydney asked with a scared tone. The Fire Elementor emerged from the fire wall, throwing a fireball at a car, destroying it. The earthquake continued breaking up the streets. "Berto, you gotta get Sydney and Kirby to safety." Max said. "Right." Berto agreed. "But what about you guys?" Kirby asked. "We'll be fine, Kirby." Xena said. Berto whistled for a cab. The cab stopped and let Berto, Kirby and Sydney in. "Are you sure you'll be okay with your cousins?" Sydney asked with a worried tone. "We'll call you. Promise." Max assured. Sydney waved as the cab drove away.
Max, Vandana and Xena then glared as the Fire Elementor tossed a flaming iron rod through the windshield of a moving car, which the driver immediately got out before it hit his car, causing it to crash. Then another Elementor, this one made entirely out of rocks, emerged from the earthquake and knocked a moving truck, which the truck driver to jump out immediately, onto its side before hopping onto it and giving a loud roar. "2 of these guys?" Max asked in shock. "Dad did say that there were 4 of them." Xena said. "Max?" Molly called. "Xena?" Amelia called. "Vandana?" Forge called. Max, Xena and Vandana turned to see their parents run up to them. "Mom?" Max asked. "Mom?" Xena asked. "Dad?" Vandana asked. "What are you doing here?!" They all asked. But before any questions could be answered, Forge saw a fireball coming right at them. "Take cover!" He exclaimed, pushing his family out of the way. The fireball hit the street before they all started running. The Fire Elementor tossed another fireball at them, hitting one of the parked cars. "Come on!" Forge exclaimed. The family all hopped into Forge's car just as a boulder was tossed at them. Forge quickly drove away before they could get hit. The Earth Elementor roared before he joined his fire brother chasing the car. Wandella, Yeager, Zad and Steel arrived too late. "Hey, wait!" Yeager called. "We gotta go after them!" Steel exclaimed, flying after the car and the Elementors. "You heard the robot!" Wandella exclaimed as she and her brothers joined the chase on their bikes.
"Forge Ferrus, why are there 2 of the Elementors chasing my son?!" Molly demanded. "And why are our daughters with him?!" Amelia demanded. As Forge hesitated to answer, Max, Xena and Vandana looked back to barely see Steel, Wandella, Yeager and Zad following the Elementors. "We gotta go back! Steel, Wandella, Yeager and Zad are back there!" Max exclaimed. "Wait. Steel?!" Molly asked in shock. "Steel's alive?!" Amelia asked in shock. "I told you 2 to stick together! Suppress your Turbo Energy signature!" Forge exclaimed. "Hey, he wanted to stay behind while we were on our dates!" Xena exclaimed. "Wait. You 3 were on dates?!" Amelia asked in shock. The Fire Elementor threw another fireball. "Hang on!" Forge exclaimed, steering the car to dodge the fireball. The Earth Elementor telekinetically summoned up 4 boulders and threw them at the car. Forge steered the car, dodging every boulder. "Maxwell McGrath, you tell me what's going on and you tell me now!" Molly demanded. "That goes for both of you too, young ladies!" Amelia exclaimed. "We…promised Uncle Ferrus we wouldn't say." Max said sheepishly. "Oh, he did, did he?" Amelia said as she and Molly glared at Forge, who smiled nervously.
The Fire Elementor fired another fireball, but Forge steered the car and dodged it. "Max! Wait up!" Steel called. "We'll never catch up at this rate!" Zad exclaimed. "Yes, we will, Zad! We just have to stick together!" Wandella exclaimed. "Kids. Always in a hurry. But I like it." Steel said.
As the Fire Elementor continued to chase the Ferrus-McGrath family, he unleashed another fire attack, sending a bunch of cars aflame. One of them, flying towards the family. Max stood on the tailgate, unleashed his Turbo Energy and punched the car away. "Max?" Molly asked, surprised by this. 2 more flaming cars came flying towards them. "We got these ones, cous." Vandana said as she and Xena joined their cousin on the tailgate. The 2 of them fired beams of mana at the cars, destroying them. "Vandana? Xena?" Amelia asked in surprise, seeing her daughters' mana powers.
Suddenly, as the Fire Elementor continued to chase them, a streetlamp fell in front of him. He looked up and saw Steel. "You again! The abomination!" He exclaimed. "I beg your pardon?!" Steel asked insulted. "I will remove the stain of your treachery ONCE AND FOR ALL!" The Fire Elementor exclaimed. "Treachery?" Steel asked, not know what the Fire Elementor was talking about. The Fire Elementor threw another fireball. "Steel, look out!" Wandella exclaimed, leaping in front of Steel and creating a mana shield to block the fireball. Then she, Yeager and Zad fired blasts of mana at the streetlamps, knocking them over on top of the Fire Elementor. "And a very good day to you, sir!" Steel exclaimed before rejoining the chase with the other 3 quintuplets. The Fire Elementor struggled to get free with a growl.
Meanwhile, the Earth Elementor summoned up a big boulder and tossed it towards the car. But Forge managed to tip the car to dodge the boulder. Everyone then saw Steel and the other quintuplets catching up to them and the Earth Elementor. "Steel!" Max called. "I don't believe it!" Molly exclaimed in shock. "He is alive!" Amelia exclaimed in shock. "I can get you to him quicker, but I can't guarantee the landing." Forge advised. "Do it." Max said. "It's the only way." Vandana said. "Forge, don't you dare." Molly warned. "Forge, if you ever loved our children." Amelia warned. "Brace yourselves!" Forge exclaimed as he made a U-turn and drove towards the Earth Elementor. "3! 2! 1!" Forge slammed on the brakes and sent Max, Xena and Vandana flying towards the Earth Elementor. Steel flew ahead and linked up with Max as the Earth Elementor tried to reach for him and the 2 quintuplets. "Go Turbo! Flight!" Max yelled, morphing into Flight Mode and flying over the Earth Elementor. Vandana and Xena created mana platforms beneath them and landed on them. "Vandana! Xena!" Wandella called as she and her brothers reached them. "You 2 alright?" Zad asked. "We're okay, guys." Xena said. "Right now, Max needs our help." Vandana said.
"Go Turbo! Strength!" Max yelled, morphing to Strength Mode. Molly and Amelia gasped at this. The Earth Elementor roared and charged for Max. But as Max charged back, he grabbed the Earth Elementor's arm and tossed him into the side of a building. "Nice toss, Max." Yeager said as he and the quintuplets regrouped with him. "Thanks. I'm liking this Turbo Strength Mode." Max said. "Indeed. The perfect mode for fighting these types of monsters." Steel said.
Meanwhile, the Fire Elementor, having recovered from its streetlamp trap, chased after Forge, Molly and Amelia. "This clown car come with all the N-Tek standard bells and whistles?" Molly asked. "Yes." Forge said. Molly smiled, opened the compartment and pulled out an N-Tek blaster. "I'm gonna help Max and our kids. You 2 handle Match-Head." Amelia said. "Good luck, honey." Forge said. Amelia closed her eyes and glowed magenta, morphing into her Anodite form. Her skin was all purple and her hair was magenta and mana powered. She then flew up from her seat and flew off to help Max and the quintuplets. Molly prepared the blaster as the Fire Elementor got closer. Forge turned the car around as Molly fired a laser from the blaster. The Fire Elementor ducked and the laser struck the columns on a parking lot building. "Humans! So inferior!" The Fire Elementor exclaimed. Suddenly, the columns gave out and the building started to tip over. The Fire Elementor ran to try and get out of the way, but the building collapsed on top of him. "Nice shot, sis!" Forge exclaimed with impression. But then a fireball shot out of the rubble. Forge got the message and started driving again.
Meanwhile, Max and the quintuplets continued to fight against the Earth Elementor. Max and the Earth Elementor both threw a single punch at each other. The impact caused a wave of Turbo Energy to burst, shattering every glass window nearby. The quintuplets took cover before they could get pierced by the falling glass. The Earth Elementor chuckled. But then he noticed that Max broke off his arm, making him roar in anger. "Looks like he's been disarmed." Zad joked, making his siblings laugh. "Here, Rocky. Let me give you a hand!" Max exclaimed, using the arm to strike the Earth Elementor and sent him flying out of the city. "Home run for Max McGrath, ladies and gentlemen! 1-0!" Wandella exclaimed as the other quintuplets cheered. But suddenly, Max got struck in the back by a fireball. "Max!" The quintuplets cried. "Boy, come with us and we'll spare the others." The Fire Elementor warned. "Well, aren't you just the best?" Max asked sarcastically, using the Earth Elementor's arm and slamming it on the Fire Elementor's head.
"That's some boy you got there." Forge said as he and Molly drove back towards the battle. "Don't I know it." Molly said. Suddenly, the Earth Elementor came out of the road and tossed a boulder at the car. As Forge made the car leap over the boulder, Molly fired a laser blast from her blaster at the Earth Elementor. But the Earth Elementor quickly recovered and retaliated with an earthquake attack, knocking the car over. Forge and Molly quickly hopped out as the Earth Elementor grew back his arm. But then Max came up behind him and punched him in the face, knocking him down. "Get Mom to safety." He said. "On it!" Forge exclaimed, taking Molly to safety. The Earth Elementor recovered and prepared to attack again. But suddenly, several strands of magenta mana energy wrapped around his arms, legs and body, and stopped him from moving. Max looked at his cousins. "Wasn't us." Vandana said. Just then, Amelia floated down to the ground, holding the Earth Elementor in place. "Aunt Amelia?" Max asked in surprise. The quintuplets looked on in amazement, seeing their mother in her Anodite form. "Anodite. We meet again." The Earth Elementor said. "You will not touch my nephew or my children, rubble breath!" Amelia exclaimed, using her mana hair to tighten her grip. "We'll see!" The Earth Elementor exclaimed. He grabbed her mana hair and repeatedly slammed Amelia into the pavement, knocking her out. "MOM!" The quintuplets cried. They ran out and each fired their mana beams at the Earth Elementor, knocking him down.
Suddenly, Max turned and saw that the Fire Elementor had cornered Forge and Molly. "No! Mom!" He cried as he rushed over. Just then, Steel de-linked from him, shutting down Strength Mode. "Max, throw me! A controlled explosion should snuff out that hothead's flame!" He exclaimed. "Okay! Turbofly!" Max called as he powered up Steel with Turbo Energy and tossed him at the Fire Elementor like he did with the robots during training. The Turbo Energy explosion completely snuffed out the Fire Elementor's fire, weakening him. Unfortunately, Steel was too dizzy to notice until too late when the Fire Elementor fell on top of him. "Steel!" Max cried. He rushed over to help, but then he was knocked off his feet from below by the Earth Elementor. "Too slow! Too weak! Too bad!" The Earth Elementor exclaimed as he picked up Max and tossed him into a wall, knocking him out. As he prepared to finish Max, 5 mana energy whips wrapped around his wrists, ankles and neck, stopping him. The quintuplets were struggling to pull him away from their cousin. "No! Max!" Molly cried as she fired her laser blaster at the Earth Elementor. But the Earth Elementor broke free from the whips and protected himself with a rock wall. Then he broke it and tossed a bunch of boulders at Molly and Forge. "Molly, look out!" Forge cried, pushing Molly out of the way. But they were both knocked out during the tumble. "Dad! Aunt Molly!" Xena cried. "Look out!" Zad exclaimed. The Earth Elementor tossed more boulders at the quintuplets, knocking them out. Max struggled to recover, but the Earth Elementor punched him, knocking him out again. He then picked up Max and the Fire Elementor and walked away. "Max..." Steel struggled to say, suffering heavy damage from when the Fire Elementor fell on him and couldn't do anything to save his friend as the Earth Elementor tunneled underground.
Later, at THI, Max woke up and found himself in the presence of Miles Dread himself. "Awake? Ah, wonderful. I can't express how ecstatic I am to have you here." Dread said as he walked over to his machine. "And where is here?" Max asked, finding himself strapped to a lab table. "Unimportant. It's why you're here that matters. I'm told you're special. I'm told you're literally bursting with special-ness." Dread said as he put on his helmet. "No idea what you're talking about." Max said. "Don't insult my intelligence. We're going to be chums for a long, long time. And do you know why?" Dread asked as he walked back to Max. "My sparkling personality?" Max asked jokingly. "Because of your Turbo Energy. Turbo Energy that's about to be…mine." Dread said. "And believe you me, I will put that power to use!" He began draining Max's Turbo Energy, hurting him in the process. "Yes. Thanks to you, my new best friend, Miles Dread will truly be a powerful man once more!" Dread exclaimed, cackling as his suit morphed as he drained enough Turbo Energy as Max passed out.
Oh man. Wasn't that something? Max and Steel are learning to test out their new Ultralinked powers. Then while Max, Xena and Vandana are on a triple date with Sydney and Kirby from school, and Berto from N-Tek, the Fire Elementor returned, brought his Earth Elementor brother and attacked. Even with help from, Steel the Ferrus Quintuplets, Uncle Forge, Aunt Amelia and even his own mother, Molly, Max was captured and brought to Miles Dread, who began absorbing his Turbo Energy into his own suit. How will Steel and Max's family save him? What other forces are under Dread's command? Will Max ever have a future with Sydney? Leave a review if you want.
