Chapter 11: Copper Canyon in Artic
Somewhere, far from Copper Canyon, there was a secret organization where many, many strange people patrolling the area, keeping guard for any intruders or trespassers. Within the unknown organization, a man in a black and dark purple smart suit, named Cyran Hallwell, was walking down the hallway as he was heading towards the lab to meet someone. When he arrived there, Miles Dread and Mr. Naught were waiting with other scientists for him. "Cyran Hallwell. How have you been?" Dread greeted. "Been quite busy, dealing with my children to make sure they behave." Cyran replied, shaking Dread's hand. "Mr. Hallwell, the final test is ready, sir." A scientist said. "Very good. Let's begin." Cyran said as he, Dread and Naught walked up to a window view.
In the large room on the outside of the window view, stood a young man with cyan mullet hair, pastel purple eyes and extremely pale skin. He wore a full cyan battle suit with few colors of white. His facial expression looked completely blank with no sign of emotions. "This is your test subject?" Naught asked. "Yes. His name is Experiment Cryo99, or better known as…Frozen Killer." Cyran introduced. A buzzer went off, signaling the start of the final test. The Fire and Earth Elementors, now nicknaming themselves Ferno and Granius, appeared and stood before Frozen Killer. They both started laughing. "This is just a mere weak human." Ferno said. "We'll destroy him easily." Granius said. Frozen Killer didn't react. He stayed completely motionless.

"Time for you to feel the burn!" Ferno said, throwing a fireball. As the fireball approached Frozen Killer, a giant ice wall shot out from the ground and blocked the fireball. "What?!" Ferno exclaimed in shock. Once it was clear, Frozen Killer brought down the ice wall and fired a cyan energy beam from his left hand. Ferno fired his fire beam to intercept, but the Frozen Killer's energy beam shot right through it. "WHAT?!" Ferno exclaimed in shock. He was caught off guard as Frozen Killer's beam encased him in a clear, block of an iceberg that caused his fire to go out, freezing him in place. Granius was shocked to see his brother completely frozen and defeated so easily. "You will pay for that with your life!" He exclaimed angrily. He summoned boulders from the ground and threw them towards Frozen Killer. But then, he created ice skates on his feet and skated away, dodging every boulder with great speed. Granius tried to keep up, but Frozen Killer continued to dodge his every attack with his speed. Frozen Killer attacked by throwing multiple icicles from thin air. Granius blocked them with his rock wall. "That's not enough to beat me!" He exclaimed mockingly. But before he could attack again, he felt his feet getting cold. He looked down to see ice forming around his feet before spreading all over his body until he was completely encased in ice. Frozen Killer walked up to the frozen Earth Elementor, and with a small flick from his fingers, the ice shattered to pieces, along with Granius. "Final test: Defeat the Elementors. Complete." A scientist said over a P.A. system.
"Impressive." Dread said, impressed with Frozen Killer's ice powers. "I…don't believe it. He defeated both Fire and Earth so easily…without even a struggle." Naught said, terrified at what he witnessed. "You've done well with Frozen Killer's creation, Cyran." Dread said. "I did what I wanted to make Frozen Killer the perfect bio weapon." Cyran said. "Max Steel and his little team will have no chance against him." Dread said sinisterly.
Later, on that same day, Max, the Ferrus Quintuplets, Alex, Rayne, Sydney and Kirby finished school for the day. Steel was sleeping in Max's backpack. "So, guys, what should we do for the rest of the day?" Sydney asked. "How about we go to the pier and hang out there?" Zad suggested. "I think that's an excellent idea." Rayne said. "I could use a good corndog." Max said. The others agreed before heading off to the pier.
Meanwhile, in the busy streets, a truck driver was minding his own business as he was doing a delivery. But suddenly, he slammed on the brakes when he saw someone standing in his way. He poked his head out through his window and saw Frozen Killer standing in front of his truck, completely motionless. "Hey, kid, could you move out of the way?" He asked. Frozen Killer didn't reply. Instead, he placed his hand in front of the truck and ice began to spread rapidly. The truck driver was shocked to see this and quickly got out of his truck before it got fully frozen in ice. Police arrived on the scene and drew their guns on Frozen Killer. "Put your hands in the air or prepare to be shot!" One of the cops exclaimed. But Frozen Killer was unfazed by the warning. He spread his arms and summoned a massive blizzard, blowing the police away. The blizzard continues as it spread across Copper Canyon, freezing it over.
Meanwhile, Max and his group were on their way to the pier. Suddenly, Kirby felt a cold chill in the air. "Brr! I'm starting to feel cold. I never felt the cold weather being so cold before." He said, shivering. Max started to find this strange, thinking that Copper Canyon never had such cold weather before. He was about to say something, but then he suddenly saw his breath, surprising him and the others. Just then, they heard people screaming and saw them running away in fear. They looked over to see ice spreading through the city rapidly, shocking them. "Sydney, Kirby, you 2 get to safety. We'll go and see what's going on." Max said. "No, Max! It's too dangerous!" Sydney exclaimed with worry for their safety. "We'll be fine. Now go." Max said. Sydney was hesitant, but then she looked into Max's eyes and saw the calmness and determination in them. "Just be careful." She said before leaving with Kirby. "Alright, team, let's go see what's going on." Max said.
When they arrived, they were shocked to see that all of Copper Canyon was frozen over like an Arctic. "What could've done this?" Rayne asked. Just then, Max saw Frozen Killer in the middle of the street, freezing everything in his way. The others saw him too. "Who is that?" Xena asked. "I don't know, but I know that he's the one who's causing this deep freeze." Max said. "Then I think it's time to heat things up." Steel said, having woken up from the people screaming. "Go Turbo!" Max called. Steel linked up with him and suited him up. The quintuplets changed into their hero suits. "Ready to try our new suits?" Alex asked. "Ready and willing." Rayne said. They each looked at a wristband on their left wrist, pressed a button and changed into new hero suits Yeager designed for them. Alex's suit was a red sleeveless body suit with tiger stripes and a black mask. Rayne's suit was a purple sleeveless body suit with white lightning bolts and a purple mask. "Wow, Yeager, I gotta say. We are really digging these hero suits you made us." Alex said. "Yeah. It really goes with our powers." Rayne said. "What can I say? Designing is an art." Yeager said.
Frozen Killer noticed the team, ceased his freezing and slowly walked towards them. "Okay, chilly, who are you and what's your angle? Why are you freezing the city?" Max asked. Frozen Killer said nothing, remaining motionless as he continued walking towards them. "I don't think he wants to talk." Zad said. "Then let's go to the alternative." Alex said, cracking his knuckles. "Xena, first strike's yours." Max said. "With pleasure, Max." Xena said. She flew into the air and summoned her 4 mana eyes. Frozen Killer stopped, slide his foot around in a circle, creating an ice circle, and sealed himself in an ice dome. The mana eyes started firing mana blasts at the dome, but none of them made even a chip. Xena was shocked by this. Just then, Frozen Killer shattered the dome into giant icicles and fired them towards her. Xena protected herself with her mana shield, but the icicles knocked her down and out. "Cerise Healer!" Wandella cried in worry.
"Oh, you are not getting away with that!" Alex exclaimed. An imagae of a red gorilla appeared over him and disappeared into his body. He started hooting like a gorilla and charged towards Frozen Killer. But Frozen Killer swiped his arm across the street and summoned ice appendages, encasing Alex's arms in ice. He struggled to free himself, but his ape-like strength couldn't free him. Zad drew his mana katana and charged towards Frozen Killer with a yell. But as he went to slash him, Frozen Killer dodged gracefully and poked the pressure point on Zad's bicep, causing his entire body to encase in ice. "LIME SAMURAI!" Rayne cried. "That's it! Let's try to tag team him together!" Vandana exclaimed. She, Wandella, Yeager and Rayne charged towards Frozen Killer together. But Frozen Killer raised his hand, summoned an ice wall and pushed them a building wall.
Max watched in horror as his team was frozen in their places. "Max, what can we do to stop this freezer guy?" Steel asked. Just then, Max thought of an idea. "I think it's time to use our new Turbo Move." He said. He picked up a small rock and started kicking it around and doing tricks like a soccer ball. Suddenly, Turbo Energy began to gather around the rock, thus, forming a ball of Turbo Energy. "Oh yeah. Let him have it, Max." Steel said with excitement. "Turbo Strike!" He shouted, kicking it with full speed. Frozen Killer turned around and saw the Turbo Strike coming towards him. He didn't have time to block it as it struck him hard, sent him flying in the air and crashed onto the street, causing him to be knocked out from the strong force of the Turbo Strike.
Later, Max switched to Strength Mode and helped his team break free from their ice prisons. They were okay, but they started suffering from hypothermia. "I n-n-n-never felt so c-c-c-cold in m-m-m-my life." Xena shivered. "It's okay, guys. N-Tek's bringing warmth as we speak." Max said. Just then, N-Tek arrived as the agents helped warm up the team with warm blankets. As the team was brought on board the tanks, Max, Steel, Forge, Kat, Jefferson and a few other agents gathered around the unconscious Frozen Killer. "Restrain this one and prepare to take him to our high security prison." Forge ordered. But before anyone could do so, they came under fire from a group of strange people in armored suits on high tech motorcycles, firing laser blasters. Everyone quickly took cover before they started firing back. Just then, Max and Steel saw a large black tank drive up to Frozen Killer's unconscious body. 2 suited agents picked him up and loaded him into the tank before driving off with the motorcycles following. "Cease your fire!" Forge ordered. The N-Tek agents stopped firing as he watched the unknown enemies leave with a glare.
Later, everyone returned to N-Tek. "Okay, who the heck were those guys?" Xena asked. "Their technology was just as advanced as N-Tek's." Zad said. "And what about that freezer guy? It seemed like they knew him." Alex said. "Uncle Ferrus, who were they?" Max asked. Forge sighed, knowing that it was time. "They're from this evil organization called ORCUS. We've been trying to shut down their operations for years. But with their own advanced technology and weaponry, we haven't been able to track them down or even lay a finger on them." Forge explained. "What does ORCUS do?" Yeager asked. "They kidnap children from all over the world. Orphaned, abandoned and with loving families. They perform horrible experiments on these kids, giving them strange powers and turning them into super soldiers and living weapons of mass destruction." Forge explained. The team was horrified by this. "And that freezer guy?" Vandana asked. "He's one of their top experiments. They call him Frozen Killer." Forge said. The team was horrified from what they had learned today. Max gritted his teeth angrily. This ORCUS sounded more horrible like the threats of Dread, the Elementors, Toxzon and the Dark Black.
Meanwhile, at the ORCUS base, the unconscious Frozen Killer was placed in a pod by 2 ORCUS agents. The lid of the pod came down and locked him inside of it as the pod started healing his injuries. Cyran came in with Dread and Naught. "You may leave, gentlemen." He said. The agents nodded and did as they were ordered. The 3 men stared at Frozen Killer as the pod heals him. "Frozen Killer did well against Max Steel and his little team. But he wasn't able to withstand the power of Max Steel's new Turbo Move." Dread said. "I assure you, Dread, he'll be superior and able to beat Max Steel's team. Besides, my children will be eager to test out their new powers and bring forth a total domination." Cyran said.
Meanwhile, in another location in the base, poor innocent children were imprisoned and crying for help.
Oh man! That was intense! Max, Steel and their team encounter the Frozen Killer, an experimental assassin sent by the evil organization known to N-Tek as ORCUS, who appear to be in league with Dread and his followers.
