Or will the desires of the heart bring forth a scandal?

So, I know this is a bit unusual, but this isn't actually a fanfiction. I came up with the idea for a regency romance novel today. And I just started writing and before I get too much further I wanted some outside opinions. A type of pre-Beta readers if you will. So please if you wouldn't mind reading, it's just one chapter. Penelope falls in love with Lord Debling

Starts at the kiss scene in S03. Colin goes for a third kiss. Nice Cressida, happy Polin, Pen and Eloise make up. Lady Whistledown ... Give it a chance please?

This is the story of Francesca and Michael. I wrote it as a mix of the books and moments from the show too.

Returning from his adventures, Colin Bridgerton is stunned by Penelope's icy reception. Determined to make amends for his words last season, he finds simmering desire instead. Yet, winning Penelope's heart demands more than words; it required devotion. In the ton's moonlit ballrooms, their relationship ignites into fiery passion, blurring the thin line between friendship & desire.

Short filler for season 3, episode 4. Set from when Colin is left on the dancefloor at the ball until he reaches Penelope's carriage. Just dipping my toe back into writing after a long, long hiatus. To quote Colin, "It is good to be back."

His throat feels horrendously dry. "Pen," he tries, his voice hoarse. "It's me." She only offers him a raised eyebrow, looking as confused as ever. It was her next question that stupefies him, rendering his brain incapable of any coherent thought for a split second—for what could he possibly reply to a query from her like "Who are you?" Penelope and Colin join the Bridgertons for their annual Pall Mall game. Colin makes a statement that Penelope can't seem to forget. Colin wants cake and Penelope makes it happen. Rated M for adult themes and sex.

At night, Colin's sexual frustration only builds, especially when he has nothing to do but wait until the day finally arrives for his and Penelope's wedding. She had given him a taste, but now he needed MORE… Perhaps even in front of a mirror…

Started as a way to explain Portia Featherington's bad behavior towards Pen, but developed a lot more. Varley knows a lot. Polin, Lady Whistledown, Cressida taking credit and being shamed, happy marriage... Give it a chance please?

Unable to face the reality of a life without Colin, who broke up the engagement as soon as he found out her other identity, Penelope decides to take matters in her own hands and present herself to the Queen, delivering herself to be punished at her Majesty's pleasure. However the Queen's pleasure might be quite different from what she had expected.

Colin and Penelope excitedly share that they are engaged with the Bridgertons and Featheringtons. The reactions of the two families are vastly different. Just my little head cannon about what could happen in part two. I know it won't happen this way, but I had it in my head and had to get it out. Please read, review, be kind and enjoy!

In which Penelope turns Eloise down, Eloise falls in love with Cressida Cowper, and despite all the odds, Eloise and Cressida manage a happy ending. This will be a retelling of parts of season three alongside imaginings of what happened in the countryside that brought Eloise and Cressida together.
