With no sign of Hank and the storm raging outside, Leah rolled her eyes and stood up from her desk… and almost collided with someone, who immediately reached their arms out and stopped her from falling.

"I'm so sorry!" Leah responded before they looked at each other.

"Officer Anderson, hello again." Connor replied, Leah smiling softly before they heard Fowler calling out for Hank.

"He said he was going home." Ben explained.

"I doubt he did. I'll go look for him." Leah responded before she grabbed her coat and pulled it on before she buttoned it up and grabbed her gun before she and Connor left.

Standing across the street from Jimmy's Bar, Leah curiously watched Connor flip his coin before he pocketed it and they walked into the bar.

'Objective: Find Lieutenant Anderson'

"Shit, I thought androids weren't allowed in here."

"And it brought Anderson's kid with it."

Leah saw Hank and motioned for Connor to follow her, Connor doing so.

"Go home, kid!" Hank grumbled.

"Lieutenant Anderson, my name is Connor. I'm the android sent by CyberLife. I looked for you at the station but nobody knew where you were. They said you were probably having a drink nearby." Connor explained, Hank looking at him and Leah.

"Is he serious?" Hank asked.

"We're needed at a crime scene." Leah responded.

"You were assigned a case early this evening. A homicide, involving a CyberLife android. In accordance with procedure, the company has allocated a specialized model to assist investigators." Connor explained.

"Well I don't need any assistance, especially not from a plastic asshole like you. So just do me a favor and get the fuck out of here. You too, Leah." Hank responded.

"I'm sorry, Lieutenant, but I must insist. My instructions stipulate that I have to accompany you." Connor replied.

"You know where you can stick your instructions?" Hank asked sarcastically.

"Don't start with this shit, Hank!" Leah responded, Hank turning to her.

"I'm tired of you talking back to me!" Hank snapped.

Moving closer, Connor grabbed the glass of whiskey and poured it out as both Leah and Hank were shocked… and Connor casually set the glass down.

"I think we can go now." Connor responded.

Hank v: Hostile

Leah ^ Warm

Standing up, Hank lunged at Connor and grabbed him by his jacket collar and Leah immediately tried to pull them apart.

"You little prick! I don't know what's stopping me from knocking you out!" Hank growled angrily.

"Hitting me in front of your daughter will not accomplish anything, Lieutenant." Connor explained calmly… and Hank let him go after Leah stepped back.

"That's my niece." Hank grumbled before he took a 20 dollar bill out of his jacket pocket and set it on the table. "Wonders of technology… they can even program assholes these days." He responded before the three left.

Driving to the crime scene with the sirens blaring and lights flashing, Leah stepped on the brake as Hank growled from the back seat.

"You're never driving my car again!" Hank responded.

"I wasn't going to let you drive drunk, Hank." Leah replied before they got out of the car, locked it and walked to Ben.

"Evening, Hank. We were starting to think you wouldn't show up." Ben greeted.

"Yeah, that was the plan until this asshole and my niece found me." Hank explained.

"So… got yourself an android, huh?" Ben responded, Hank rolling his eyes.

"Oh, very funny, Ben. Just tell me what happened." Hank replied.

"Got a call around 8 from the landlord. Tenant hadn't paid his rent for a few months so he thought he'd drop by, see what's going on… that's when he found the body." Ben explained as they carefully walked into the house… and Hank saw Leah turn pale.

Before he could act, Connor guided Leah outside to the sidewalk and held her hair back as she threw up.

'Can't fault her for that, I've seen crime scenes that have made seasoned cops throw up.' Hank thought as he walked to the car, grabbed a bottle of water and handed it to Leah after opening it.

Standing up to her full height, Leah thanked him and carefully drank the water.

"Take a bit to breathe, Babydoll." Hank responded quietly before he walked back into the crime scene.

Connor lightly rested his left hand on Leah's back and they looked at each other.

"Are you feeling up to examining the crime scene, Officer?" Connor questioned.

Leah nodded before they walked into the house and saw Hank and Ben talking about the body… and Connor scanned the body.

"He was stabbed… 28 times." Connor explained.

"Seems like someone really had it in for him." Hank responded before Leah recognized the body.

"I know this guy, busted him on drug possession charges back on October 12th… somehow he got the charges dropped against him." Leah explained.

"Damn… well at least the taxpayers money won't be wasted on a trial." Hank responded.

Scanning the rest of the house, Connor walked into the restroom and pulled the shower curtain back before he examined a statue.

Finding blood on the wall after walking back into the living room, Connor lightly touched it and put his fingers in his mouth as Hank covered Leah's eyes.

"What the hell are you doing?! Not in front of my kid!" Hank growled.

"I'm analyzing the blood. I can check samples in real time. I'm sorry. I should've warned you two." Connor explained, Hank taking his hand off of Leah's eyes.

"Okay, just… don't put any more evidence in your mouth, got it?" Hank asked.

"Got it." Connor answered, Hank rolling his eyes.

"Fucking hell, I can't believe this shit…" Hank muttered before he walked away.

Scanning more evidence and putting the pieces together after reconstructing the crime scene, Connor approached Hank and Leah.

"Lieutenant, Officer, I think I've figured out what happened." Connor responded.

"Oh yeah? Shoot, we're all ears." Hank replied.

"It all started… in the kitchen." Connor responded before they followed him to the kitchen.

"There are obvious signs of a struggle... the question is, what exactly happened here…" Hank replied as they saw the missing knife.

I think the victim attacked the android… with the bat." Connor responded before they walked back to the living room. "The android stabbed the victim."

"So the android was trying to defend itself…" Hank replied.

"The victim fled to the living room and the android stabbed the victim." Connor responded.

'Shit, it all lines up…' Hank thought. "Okay… your theory's not totally ridiculous… but it still doesn't explain where the android went." He spoke up.

"It was damaged by the bat… and lost some thirium." Connor replied.

Hank ^ Tense

"Thirium?" Hank asked.

"Blue blood. Learned about it in AP Science in high school." Leah responded.

"It powers the androids biocomponents. It evaporates after a few hours and becomes invisible to the naked eye." Connor explained.

Leah ^

"Oh… but I bet you can still see it." Hank responded.

"Correct." Connor confirmed.

Hank ^ Neutral

Connor motioned for Leah to follow him, Leah doing so and Connor grabbing a chair.

"Hey hey, what are you doing with that chair?" Hank asked in confusion.

"We're going to check something." Connor explained before Leah followed after him.

Connor set the chair by the attic door, climbing onto it and opening the attic door… and climbed into the attic as Leah climbed onto the chair, Connor reaching his right hand out.

Leah grabbed it and Connor pulled her up into the attic before they stood up.

"Thank you." Leah responded.

"You're welcome." Connor replied before they stayed close to each other as they walked further into the attic… and stopped when they saw the deviant with blood on him, Leah jumping in fright and Connor shielding her.

"I was just defending myself… he was gonna kill me. I'm begging you… don't turn me in." The deviant pleaded.

"Connor, Leah, what the fuck is going on up there?!"

"It's here, Lieutenant!" Connor called out.

Blinking in shock, Hank muttered "Holy shit!" and walked back into the living room.

"Chris! Ben! Get your asses in here now! Come on!" Hank responded loudly.

As the deviant looked down with his LED blaring red, he was guided out of the attic and arrested by Chris… and Connor saw Leah trembling with a look in her eyes that could only be described as the thousand yard stare.

Connor reached his left hand out and held Leah's right hand.

And he couldn't describe why he felt the need to do so.
