Docks Chaos
Swinging down to a lamp post and landing on top of it, looking out over the dockside warehouse, Spider-Boy grimaced at the level of damage that was strewn about the outer part of the warehouse.
"Damn, looks like this place was worked over." He muttered.
It was true, there were signs of shipping crates and large containers that were broken open, with some force it seemed, there were worryingly large claw marks on the walls of some of the buildings and across the ground.
"Damn, how the…?"
He turned to see Iron-Man and Iron-Girl had arrived and were also surveying the damage.
Spider-Boy shook his head. "I thought I'd get here first and do some recon, not been here for long but...it looks like something very large and dangerous went through this place…"
Iron-Girl let out a low breath. "I don't even want to imagine what it's like inside."
"Well, we're gonna have to go in and see it, we need to find out what the hell is going on here." Iron-Man explained.
"Alright, let's get down there and look around, secure the outside so we know what to expect when the other arrives." Spider-Boy said at last.
The others nodded and together they made their way down into the warehouse grounds.
Looking around carefully they found that there were indeed several damages to the buildings and even the ground. The disturbing part was when they found there were corpses, bodies of men, thrown about, broken, ripped apart, all of them in Fisk uniforms.
"Kingpin's men…" Iron-Man mused. "So whatever is behind this, it isn't him or his boys."
"But then what...you don't think-?" Another voice cut in.
It was Black Panther, he had arrived with the others now and was looking around, all of them clearly spooked by the horrors they had seen. It was Speed Demon who pointed out the fearful obvious.
"Could this...could the Symbiote infected Upside-Down creatures be behind this?" She asked warily.
They all froze at that, having not initially considered that, but now they were afraid she was right.
White Tiger replied. "It's possible, but...we'll have to be sure, so...only one thing left that we can really do here."
Wasp sighed. "Alright, let's get inside then."
All readying themselves, they found a way inside, namely a large section of wall, blown apart by something breaking in. They warily entered, bracing themselves for the horrors that surely awaited them inside. They were not disappointed, for inside were even more of Kingpin's men, all dead and many ripped apart. The room seemed mostly empty except for containers along the wall, but everything was trashed, the containers broken open to reveal their contents. Weapons of varying levels of destruction, from common handguns to RPG launchers.
But what truly drew their eyes were not the weapons, the destruction or the dead bodies of Fisk's men. It was the collection of Demodogs that were clearly responsible for the destruction, as well as a fully grown Demogorgon, all of which were now facing them, having clearly heard them and noticed their arrival.
"Urgh, shit, not good." Blue Beetle grumbled.
Batgirl groaned too. "Just what we need. Here we go guys."
They all readied themselves for the fight as two of the Demodogs lunged for them the others moving around, clearly trying to get into a position to surround them. They didn't wait for that. They instantly sprung into action, White Tiger and Wasp taking the fight to the two Demodogs that had lunged. Meanwhile Black Panther, the Iron Siblings and Wasp moved directly to the other Demodogs and begun their attack. Utilizing a quick Web Strike, Spider-Boy quickly got to work attacking the Demogorgon and, backed up by Batgirl, Speed Demon and Blue Beetle, began to fight the monstrous creature. It was not an easy battle. Even though the others managed to take down the Demodogs and began to come to the aid of those fighting the Demogorgon, they soon cried out in horror as they were attacked from behind. It was only Spider-Boy's Spider-Sense that saved them.
"Guys, behind us." He cried.
They all managed to dodge, only to see all the Demodogs back on their feet and now standing all around the Demogorgon, both groups facing each other.
"How did…?" Black Panther gasped. "Must the Symbiotes infecting them...giving them regenerative properties."
"How do we even stop that." White Tiger gasped.
Seeing something in one of the open containers, Spider-Boy got an idea.
"I may have something, just keep them busy and keep them here in the middle of the warehouse." He said.
They were surprised but agreed and got to work, charging directly for the monsters, Spider-Boy meanwhile swung over to one of the open shipping containers and prepared to begin his plan.
It was a desperate struggle, especially due to being outnumbered but luckily it did not take too long and soon Spider-Boy called out to them.
"Okay guys, move!"
They all did so and Spider-Boy's plan was revealed as he activated the large sonic generator that Kingpin had been hiding in the warehouse. The blast that came from it was more powerful than typical sonic blasts so it had the most delightful effect for the Avengers as they saw all the Upside-Down creatures shrieking and flailing as the Symbiotes covering them were destroyed by the sonic generators power and the effect was so powerful it also wiped out the Demodogs and Demogorgon, when the machine finally turned off, the monsters were dead.
"That...that was a close one." Wasp remarked.
Speed Demon nodded. "Yeah, good eye, just glad that worked."
Spider-Boy sighed. "I don't know what is going on here, for it to have got this bad...I don't like it, Venom is up to something and it's not good at all."
"He's gearing up for something big and we can't see it." Black Panther remarked. "What does this even mean, for the future?"
They had absolutely no idea and that all scared them.
